Online music courses are becoming more common in higher education thanks to the always increasing technological advances. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic many universities around the world have been forced to turn to online learning. There are currently several options to deliver online musical tuition, but most of them offer limited results. Online learning provides many advantages related to time and money saving, as well as ecological-related matters, access from remote areas and interaction between students and teachers around the world. However, most often communication will take place using platforms tailored for speech, which will have a significant impact on the lesson quality. Although face-to-face lessons cannot be completely replaced to guarantee quality tuition, online lessons can be a helpful complement in certain situations. This article aims to identify the most common limitations of the platforms available at the moment, suggesting different approaches to lessen the weaknesses of online instrumental one-to-one teaching.

Currently, the 2019 Coronavirus Disease pandemic has caused serious damage to health throughout the world. Its contagious capacity has forced the governments of the world to decree isolation and quarantine to try to control the pandemic. The consequences that it leaves in all sectors of society have been disastrous. However, technological advances have allowed people to continue their different activities to some extent while maintaining isolation. Universities have great penetration in the use of technology, but they have also been severely affected. To give continuity to education, universities have been forced to move to an educational model based on synchronous encounters, but they have maintained the methodology of a face-to-face educational model, what has caused several problems in the learning of students. This work proposes the transition to a hybrid educational model, provided that this transition is supported by data analysis to identify the new needs of students. The knowledge obtained is contrasted with the performance presented by the students in the face-to-face modality and the necessary parameters for the transition to this modality are clearly established. In addition, the guidelines and methodology of online education are considered in order to take advantage of the best of both modalities and guarantee learning.

The importance of maintaining connections and relationships across tertiary education for students is discussed as a way of examining the nature of Pacific education in challenging times, particularly in terms of fractured face-to-face learning. Universities have been thrust into an unpredictable time of remote/distance/online learning in a short period of time. The process has been unsettling and challenging for people across the world. As Pacific students and staff experience the unchartered waters of Covid-19 and global disturbances, they are searching out ways to build purposeful connections, shape-shifting and ways to maintain communities of academic togetherness while harnessing the tools of their knowledge trajectories in research. This article will focus on four key principles: valuing personal and academic connections beyond the textbook; discovering heart-warming methods of connection; and connecting for growth and wellbeing.

In the eyes of literature, existentialist thinkers focus on the question of concrete human existence and the conditions of this existence rather than hypothesizing a human essence, stressing that the human essence is determined through life choices. The ideal, however, is that humans exist in a state of distance from the world that they nonetheless remain in the midst of. This distance is what enables humans to project meaning into the disinterested world of in-itselfs. This projected meaning remains fragile, constantly facing breakdown for any reason— from a tragedy to a particularly insightful moment. In such a breakdown, humans are put face to face with the naked meaninglessness of the world, and the results can be devastating. It is porposed that literature and the media combined have a powerful impact on those who wish to truly realize and understand their message. By studying, reading, learning, experiencing, and knowing the culture of the present and those cultures of the past then one can understand the ideas of life and how the two work together to help us better understand each other and ourselves. In what ways our present culture, our technological advances, and the media shape who we are as individuals is not a simple question. The answer seems to elusively hide in a world filled with cultural complexities. But, it is no secret to find that literature is a source of power. It does influence, guide, and shape the human become as they continue their journey through life. Hence, since human are never without the influence of literature, they will always have factors working to modify the human being. However, it is their choice as to how they internalize what they are exposed to, and in turn, it is up to them to determine the individual that ultimately prevails.

As technological advances become mainstream in higher education, many universities have begun delving into online learning as an effective means of course delivery. Transitioning from the Industrial Age to the Digital Age of learning has forced some evaluators to rethink standards of success and the idea of productivity and learning (Leonard, 1999). Understanding the positive attributes of students and instructors in the online environment will contribute to the understanding of how we can enhance the learning experience for the student and the teaching experience for the instructor. This article will also assist students and instructors in understanding the differences that may be experienced in the online environment vs. the face-to-face environment and provide the opportunity to consider whether online learning or teaching is a “good fit” for them. Understanding why students or instructors might choose the online environment will also assist administrators in developing successful, quality online programs that enrich the experiences for both students and instructors.

Covid-19 atau sering disebut Virus Corona adalah suatu wabah penyakit yang berasal atau pertama kali di temukan dari Tiongkok, penyakit tersebut menyebar dengan cepat ke seluruh dunia. Covid-19 tersebut menyebar ke Indonesia pada awal Maret 2020. Penyebaran virus Corona ini menyebabkan beberapa kerugian yang cukup besar ke negara kita yaitu Indonesia terutama dalam bidang ekonomi, dan merambat ke bidang pendidikan, Covid-19 juga mengubah model pembelajaran secara drastis, dari pembelajaran secara konvensional dan sekarang menjadi pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring, dari yang bertatap muka dan sekarang Cuma bisa melalui via aplikasi saja, yang terdampak mulai dari tingkat sekolah dasar (SD) sampai perguruan tinggi. Pada kegiatan pembelajaran dengan mode daring di Universitas Lambung Mangkurat sudah lumayan efektif dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Google Classroom, Google Meet dan E-learning. Kalau kendala dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring yaitu masalah koneksi internet mahasiswa yang kurang mendukung pada setiap wilayah mahasiswa tersebut. Covid-19 or often called the Corona Virus is an outbreak of a disease that originated or was first discovered from China, the disease spreads rapidly throughout the world. The Covid-19 spread to Indonesia in early March 2020. The spread of the Corona virus caused quite a number of losses to our country, namely Indonesia, especially in the economic field, and spread to the field of education, Covid-19 also drastically changed the learning model, from learning conventionally and now learning is done online, from face to face and now it can only be via the application, which is affected starting from elementary school (SD) to college level. Online learning activities at Lambung Mangkurat University have been quite effective by using the Google Classroom application, Google Meet and E-learning. The COVID-19 crisis quickly led to the closure of educational institutions at all levels around the world, from one moment to another, millions of children and young people around the world were left without receiving their face-to-face classes, and many of them went through virtual classrooms framed in a phenomenon known as emergency remote teaching (ERT). This research sought to determine that well-designed and planned online learning experiences are significantly different from virtual courses offered online in response to this crisis, in order to identify what were the main areas of opportunity that learning in this emergency brought to teachers, students and educational institutions. A 12-item instrument was applied that was analyzed under a systematic random probability sampling, obtaining a sample of 49% of the population. The results made it possible to show the difficulties that arose, as well as the tools and platforms most used during the crisis in the institution of study in order to take advantage of knowledge to improve the learning experience of students.

Panacea erupted by COVID-19 outbreak has transformed our personal and political perspectives, on priorities and mode of lives, around the world. On March 11, 2020, WHO declaring it as a pandemic followed by nation wide smart lockdown and implementation of social distancing, has remodeled our sociocultural and academic norms.To our interest, it has encouraged medical colleges of our country to take a giant leap from a traditional face-to-face instruction to online learning. Though sudden, massive, and unplanned transition it might be, this not only changed mode of curricular delivery, but uncovered opportunity of grooming ourselves to Millennial expectations. Initially, our digital recluse faculty had to learn basics of computer to become digital refugees. Later, they successfully adapted themselves as digital immigrants to teach a digital native generation!

Pandemic becomes one of the problems of the world until the moment of this. In the aspect of education, the pandemic has changed the education system into online learning. We examine how the phenomenon of academic procrastination in online learning is due to previous research saying that the ineffectiveness of online learning causes students to do academic procrastination. A total of 305 students of the faculty of teacher training and science education fill out questionnaires online regarding the phenomenon of academic procrastination. The result of this research is that there are low and high comparisons on academic procrastination. The implications and discussion we discuss in depth.

The world of education is again disturbed by the massive spread of the COVID-19 virus or coronavirus disease. The use of technology is considered to facilitate and be a solution and innovation in the learning process that can be a way out so that the teaching and learning process during the COVID-19 period becomes more effective. One of the innovations that teachers can do as educators in delivering learning materials is using models in collaboration with technological advances in the learning process, especially in science learning. This research is descriptive in the form of a literature study. Data sources come from 15 scientific articles from national journals and accredited national journals. Based on the literature review that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the use of online learning models in collaboration with technology such as the Zoom platform, google classroom, WhatsApp, and others can be used in the science learning process at all levels of education during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is because this learning model is centred on students so that they are not dependent on the teacher, which is in line with the basis of online learning, which requires students to think critically, be active in exploring or understanding the subject matter presented. Students are required to establish communication between fellow students and the teacher who acts as a moderator.Keywords: Covid-19; Inovations; Online Learning; Science Dunia pendidikan kembali terusik dengan adanya penyebaran virus COVID-19 atau coronavirus disease secara masif. Penggunaan teknologi dianggap bisa mempermudah dan menjadi solusi serta inovasi dalam proses pembelajaran yang bisa menjadi jalan keluar sehingga proses belajar mengajar di masa COVID-19 menjadi lebih efektif. Salah satu inovasi yang bisa dilakukan guru sebagai tenaga pendidik dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran yaitu penggunaan model yang dikolaborasikan dengan kemajuan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran khususnya pada pembelajaran sains. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif berupa studi kepustakaan. Sumber data berasal dari 15 artikel ilmiah dari jurnal nasional maupun jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Berdasarkan kajian literatur yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran online leaning yang dikolaborasikan dengan teknologi seperti platform Zoom, google classroom, whatsapp, dan lainnya dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran sains pada semua jenjang pendidikan di masa pandemi COVID-19. Hal ini karena model pembelajaran ini berpusat kepada peserta didik sehingga mereka tidak ketergatungan kepada guru, yang sejalan dengan dasar dari pembelajaran secara daring yaitu menuntut peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis, aktif dalam menjelajahi atau memahami materi pelajaran yang disampaikan serta peserta didik dituntut agar dapat menjalin komunikasi yang baik antara sesama peserta didik dan juga guru yang berperan sebagai moderator.Kata kunci: Covid-19; Inovasi; Online Learning; Sains

Music education, like many disciplines, is transitioning to the online environment, which impacts the learning landscape. This transition, along with a mindshift by instructors, requires careful consideration of the theoretical underpinnings needed to inform the design, facilitation and assessment to create conditions where students are actively engaged in learning and meaning making. The affordance of digital technologies (e.g., synchronous and asynchronous, multimedia) provides a means for creating and articulating knowledge. This chapter discusses online learning and explores the nature of constructivist and social-constructivist theories and how they can be applied in the design, facilitation, and assessment of online music education. Examples of constructivist learning in online music courses are shared for the purpose of examining how technology can be used to support the learning outcomes grounded on social constructivism. The chapter concludes with directions for future research and implications for practice.
