This research focused on the experience of  Muhammadiyah Junior High School I (SMP 1) in Depok Sleman Yogyakarta in improving students trust and choice to study in the institution through an education marketing strategy. How the strategy of marketing is developed and work for educational services and its implementation is highlighted in this study. Using a qualitative research  this paper utilizes the marketing strategy theory approach to educational services. The data were collected through: (1) observation, (2) documentation, and (3) in-depth interviews with school principals, public relations staff, student affairs, parents and students. It was validated by using source and technical triangulation technique in a qualitative research. The results of the study indicated that: First, the marketing strategy of educational services in improving the educational services in SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Depok, involves: (1) internal, (2) external, and (3) interactive marketing strategies. Second, the implementation of marketing strategies in improving education services in SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Depok covers: (1) implementing market selection strategies by segmenting the market, targeting and positioning. (2) establishing the marketing mix by applying quality products from this junior high school, highlighting its geographical location, applying competitive prices, and carrying out promotional steps. Third, the supporting and inhibiting factors of the marketing strategy in the school were summarized in the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis.

Abstrak Penelitian ini difokuskan di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Depok, ketika tahun 2009 SMP ini mengalami keterpurukan. Jika sekolah tidak mampu menerima anak-anak lebih dari 10 siswa maka SMP ini terancam akan ditutup. Faktor keterpurukan SMP ini disebabkan oleh marketing yang gagal dan pelayanan jasa pendidikan yang menurun. Dengan menerapkan implementasi strategi pemasaran jasa pendidikan, SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Depok ini mampu bangkit dari keterpurukan. Sehingga konsumen, orang tua, dan masyarakat kembali yakin dan percaya untuk menyekolahkan anaknya di SMP ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi strategi pemasaran jasa pendidikan dalam meningkatkan pelayanan pendidikan SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Depok Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan teori strategi pemasaran jasa pendidikan. Data dikumpulkan melalui: (1) observasi, (2) dokumentasi, dan (3) wawancara mendalam kepada kepala sekolah, waka humas, waka kesiswaan, orang tua siswa dan siswa. Teknik validasi dan keabsahan data dengan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi strategi pemasaran jasa pendidikan dalam meningkatkan pelayanan pendidikan SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Depok yaitu: (1) melakukan strategi pemilihan pasar dengan melakukan segmentasi pasar, targeting dan positioning. (2) menetapkan marketing mix dengan cara menerapkan produk-produk yang berkualitas dari SMP ini, menonjolkan letak geografisnya yang cukup strategis, menerapkan harga yang bersaing, dan juga melakukan langkah-langkah promosi serta langkah-langkah lainnya. Kata Kunci: Implementasi Strategi Pemasaran, Pelayanan Pendidikan, Marketing mix. If the school was unable to receive more than 10 students, this school would be closed. This SMP downturn is caused by failed marketing and declined educational services. By applied implementation the marketing strategy of educational services, SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Depok able to rise from adversity. So that consumers, parents and the community would trust and believe in sending their children to this junior high school. (2) establishing the marketing mix by applying quality products from this junior high school, highlighting its geographical location that is quite strategic, applying competitive prices, and also taking promotional steps and other steps. This study aims to analyze the effect of Marketing Strategy and Community Perception on the Decision of Choosing Islamic Junior High School in Jambi Province both partially and simultaneously. The population in this study is the community who send their children to private Tsanawiyah Madrasahs in Jambi Province representing 3 regions with 178 people. Quantitative analysis method using path analysis, followed by analysis of determination (R Square), partial hypothesis testing (t test) and simultaneous (F test) with alpha 5 percent (0.05). Before further analysis, the analysis requirements test is carried out first. Analysis tools using SPSS Version 21.0 for Windows. The results showed that marketing strategies and public perceptions had a positive and significant effect on the decision to choose Islamic Junior High School in Jambi Province.

The results  of this  research indicate  that the Principal Strategies In The Development  Of Positioning at Junior High School of Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Jombang concentrating on Efforts such as the structured implementation of integrated curriculum, program execution, the flagship, Extracurricular activities that emphasizes education character, student achievement and promotional activities. The impact of the implementation strategy of development of the principal positioning at Junior High  School  Muhammadiyah  Boarding  School  (MBS)  Jombang  made  teachers  service  quality  and employees be good, increasing the interest and the trust of the community, the formation of good character in students, and the number of institutions study appeal. Implementation of the development strategy of positioning is supported by a number of factors, Including: educators who meet the qualification standards of the education quality, quality of education services are good, school is worth written, media promotion and quality students who are good. And has some restricting factors include: infrastructure, not to the existence of a special promotion team, intense competition, a community mindset growing niche to choose schools, and less strategic geographical location.

SMOKING BEHAVIOR IN IMMANUEL KABANJAHE PRIVATE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN 2020 There are many factors that background teenagers into smokers, including intrinsic factors that include gender factors, personality factors, occupational factors and confidence factors. Extrinsic factors include the influence of family and the environment, peer influence, climate influence, cigarette advertising, ease of obtaining cigarettes, absence of regulation, and attitude of health officials. This study aims to find out the factors that influence smoking behavior in private middle school students immanuel kabanjahe in 2020. The type of research used is qualitative research with phenomenological design. The type of research used is qualitative research with phenomenological design. Data collection in the form of in-depth interviews. Determination of informants using purposive sampling method and obtained informant as many as 5 people. The results of this study shows the factors influenced smoking behavior in Private Junior High School student Immanuel Kabanjahe are individual factors, family factors (parenting patterns), family history. Based on the results of the study it is recommended for students to form a community of anti-smoking peers in order to promote about smoking behavior and its dangers to health. For parents to pay more attention to their children. For schools to conduct UKS training activities to BK teachers related to cigarettes and their dangers to health by involving health centers or health services.

Grammar is one of the most difficult capabilities found in English. Grammar difficulty will affect other English skills such as reading, speaking, listening, and writing. Tenses belong to one part of grammar. Most students still struggle to use tenses well. Tenses contained in this grammar material need to be studied so that students can distinguish the time of conversation and the meaning of a sentence and how to make a sentence in accordance with the tenses that have been studied. This research was designed in the form of qualitative research, especially in descriptive method. It meant that the researcher would like to investigate the use of tenses (especially past, present, future, continous, and present perfect) and to identify the grammatical errors in using tense (especially past, present, future, continous,  and present perfect) in students junior high school of seventh grade with close task.

Currently, some students habitually answering questions with one answer. They only use the certain formula or certain steps to get answer. Thus, the ability of problem-solving and optimism that should have owned by students is not visible because of the habit of completing routine problem. Whereas the ability problem-solving and optimism is needed in the face of all the challenges that occur. This is becaused people who are able to solve the problem would be receive every event, whether it is good or bad events. They will seek the solution of problem faced and anticipate every possibility that occurs to the measures that have been selected. This study aims to determine (1) the ability of students to problem-solving and (2) optimism of students in problem-solving. This is qualitative research with test of problem solving and guided interview of optimism as instruments. Subject of this research is six students grade VIII of Junior High School at Peukan Pidie, Aceh. The results show that three students have good problem-solving ability, three other students have enough abilitiy in problem-solving. Optimism of students in problem-solving based on the dimensions of optimism is three students optimist at dimension PMG, three other students not optimist. One student was optimist on the dimensions of PVG, five other students not optimist. Five students are optimist on the dimensions of PSG and PMB, one student not optimist. All students are optimist on the dimensions of PVB. Two students are optimist on the dimensions of PSB, four students are not optimist

This chapter argues that schools shape communities as much as communities shape schools. It is part of an ethnographic case study of a state religious junior high school, the Levy Girls' Religious School, in Israel. The study is based on three years of qualitative research at the school, from 1999 to 2002, during a period in which it was undergoing an experiment in social and ethnic transformation. The research as a whole includes dozens of interviews with students, staff, parents, and other interested parties, as well as observations of all aspects of school life, including classes, meetings, field trips, assemblies, and countless daily interactions in corridors, courtyards, and corners of the school. This chapter focuses on the school's principal, Dr Sylvia Cohen, and is based on ten open-ended interviews and dozens of observations during the course of the research.

Abstract Representation is the embodiment of a student's idea of a problem, and representation is used to assist students in solving the problem. This research is qualitative research that aims to analyze students' representational abilities in solving problems of a two-dimensional figure. The research instrument consisted of test questions with two-dimensional figure material and interviews. The research subjects were 2 junior high school students in Surabaya City who had different representational abilities. The results showed that students had moderate representational abilities because they gave rise to 2 indicators of representational ability, namely indicators of verbal and symbolic representation in different ways of conveying, but the two subjects had not yet produced indicators of visual representation. Keywords: Representation ability, junior high school, two-dimensional figure   Abstrak Representasi adalah perwujudan ide dari seorang siswa terhadap suatu masalah, dan representasi digunakan untuk membantu siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan representasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal bangun datar. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari soal tes dengan materi bangun datar dan pedoman wawancara. Subjek penelitian adalah 2 siswa SMP Kota Surabaya yang memiliki kemampuan representasi berbeda, subjek AM memenuhi indikator representasi A1, C1 dan subjek MIS memenuhi indikator representasi A1, C1, A2, C2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki kemampuan representasi sedang, karena memunculkan 2 tipe kemampuan representasi yaitu tipe representasi verbal dan simbolik dengan cara penyampaian yang berbeda, namun kedua subjek belum memunculkan tipe representasi visual. This study aimed to describe students' ability to comprehend the meaning of mathematical vocabulary in one Madrasah in North Sumatera. This research was a qualitative research, with a phenomenology approach. The participants of this research were the seventh-grade students of one Islamic Junior High School (Madrasah) who had high, medium and low ability. The data were collected by using observation, interview and documentation, and were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman models. The results of this study showed that students who had high ability could master three indicators of the ability to understand vocabulary in mathematics; interpreting, summarizing, and explaining. For students who had moderate abilities, they only mastered two indicators of the ability to understand mathematical vocabulary; interpreting and summarizing. For students who had low ability, they only mastered one indicator; interpreting or in other words interpreting vocabulary used in mathematics in their own words.

This study was conducted to determine the marketing strategy of private schools in facing the new policies of the Surabaya City Office in the Admission of New Junior High School Students. Various internal and external factors also influence the running of the marketing strategy being implemented. This study focuses on: a) marketing strategy including school programs, strategy and gold mix (product, price, location, promotion of human resources, sarpras and service management), b) internal factors including school strengths, school weaknesses and organizational structure, c) factors external includes school opportunities, school threats and political technology, culture. The method used is qualitative research and case study type. The subjects in this study are the principal, the Deputy Principals, especially in the field of public relations who know the relationship between the institution and the wider community, teachers as learning actors, guardians of students as consumers of service users. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2019-2020 school year. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study was an interactive analysis model consisting of three components, namely data condensation, data triangulation, data presentation and conclusion drawing.The results showed that the marketing strategies implemented by the Labschool Junior High School and Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya Junior High School were good and maximized by taking advantage of the advantages they had. Inhibiting factors, such as new policies and the number of competitors, can be minimized by continuing to prioritize superior programs and explore existing human resources.
