The global pandemic forced educational institutions worldwide to adapt to a new, fully online concept of education and a rapid digitalization to keep providing their services to learners. This paper reports on the digitalization process of the Independent Learning Center (ILC) and the Learning Advisory Program (LAP) unit at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University (AYBU), Turkey. The interrelated digitalization stories of the two units include the provision of learning resources and activities to learners with digital tools and their responses to the new format. Despite the challenges involved, the ILC has offered a considerably higher number of extracurricular activities than in face-to-face education days and reached a higher number of learners in the 2020-2021 academic year. As for the LAP, the participants’ reflections showed how opportunities for offering engaging activities in the LAP created a cascading impact of affordances for both the individual learners and the members of the larger community.

The aim of the study was to demonstrate the opinions of teacher candidates, who were born after 2000 and called generation Z, about the concept of school autonomy. This is quantitative research conducted according to the descriptive survey model. The data obtained is based on the responses given by teacher candidates to the “School Autonomy” questionnaire that was prepared for school administrators for the 2012 PISA exam. The target population of the study consisted of teacher candidates who studied in the Faculty of Education of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University in Turkey in the fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic years. Questionnaires were distributed to all teacher candidates (351) in education faculty. The questionnaires were applied to face-to-face interviews with teacher candidates. Generation Z (teacher candidates) in general hold the opinion that theauthority to make decisions should lie with school when it comes to determining the annual school budget, making disciplinary decisions about students, evaluating students’ success, accepting students to school, choosing textbooks and determining the courses to be taught. Generation Z also believes that the ministry, provincial education directorates, and schools should cooperate in the selection of schools and the determination of their annual salaries.

The aim of the research is to reveal the opinions of the school administrators about the administration ethics. In this study, 30 administrators working in the middle schools of Eskişehir province center in the 2016–2017 academic year were reached. In the study, data were gathered by interview technique which is one of the qualitative research methods. All of the interviews were conducted by the researcher individually. During the interviews, voice recordings were made with the interviewers who consented to this and note-taking system was used with the interviewers who did not consent to voice recording. Data were analyzed by content analysis method. Analyzing the content of the interview, themes and sub-themes were created according to thematic coding. According to the results of the research, the administrators stated that there was no written professional ethical principles in the school and they did not need them. However, there are officially written professional ethical principles. According to school administrators, the source of unethical behavior is inadequacy and being under pressure by many factors. However, some administrators can ignore unethical behavior. School administrators prefer to give punishment to the staff directly who will act unethically. Ethical practices in school administrators' schools are not at the level as it is supposed to be and are not functional. School administrators indicate that there is a professional difference between men and women. It is obvious that school administrators who participated in this study have deficiencies in ethics in school administration.

The purpose of this study is to determine the levels of elementary and secondary school administrators' attitudes towards disciplinary issues and to examine whether they vary by various variables (gender, age, educational level, faculty of graduation, branch, seniority, courses, seminars and status of receiving training). The study was prepared in accordance with the relational screening model, one of the general screening models. In the model of the study, the relationship between the variables was examined in accordance with the general and sub-purposes. The population of the study consisted of school administrators working at public elementary and secondary schools in Istanbul province. The sample of the study consisted of 103 administrators working in a total of 12 institutions including 7 public elementary schools and 5 secondary schools located in Gaziosmanpaşa district in the 2015-2016 academic year. The "Disciplinary Approaches of Administrators at School" Scale prepared by Özcan (2008a) was used as a data collection tool. As a result of the data analysis, administrators' attitudes towards disciplinary approaches were found to be at the medium level. There is a significant difference between the attitudes towards disciplinary approaches of administrators who graduated from the faculty of education and of administrators who graduated from other faculties other than the faculty of education. It is observed that administrators who graduated from other faculties have a more positive attitude towards disciplinary approaches compared to administrators who graduated from the faculty of education. The difference between the arithmetic means of school administrators' attitudes towards disciplinary issues according to gender, age, branch, educational level, occupational seniority, courses, seminars and status of receiving training was not found to be statistically significant.
