Ekosistem mangrove memiliki fungsi ekologis sebagai penyerap dan penyimpan karbon. Mangrove menyerap CO2 pada saat proses fotosintesis, kemudian mengubahnya menjadi karbohidrat dengan menyimpannya dalam bentuk biomasa. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengestimasi simpanan karbon pada tegakan dan substrat mangrove yang berada di Desa Pasar Banggi dan Desa Tireman, Kabupaten Rembang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan Juni - Juli 2018. Metode yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling method dan eksploratif, dengan dasar pertimbangan berupa jenis, kerapatan serta diameter pohon mangrove. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di tiga stasiun dengan kondisi rapat, sedang dan jarang. Setiap stasiun penelitian dibagi menjadi tiga plot penelitian, pengukuran diameter pohon dilakukan pada transek ukuran 10 x 10 m, diameter yang di ukur pada setiap plot yaitu hanya kategori pohon (diameter ≥ 5 cm). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapat bahwa simpanan karbon pada tegakan mangrove di Desa Pasar Banggi sebesar 9.620,451 ton/ha, dan Desa Tireman sebesar 4.633,618 ton/ha, sedangkan estimasi simpanan karbon pada substrat mangrove di Desa Pasar Banggi sebesar 920,982 ton/ha dan Desa Tireman sebesar 471,929 ton/ha. Mangrove ecosystems have ecological functions as carbon sinks and stores. Mangroves absorb CO2 during photosynthesis, then convert it to carbohydrates by storing it in the form of biomass in the body parts of mangrove plants. Research on the estimation of carbon stocks is very necessary to support the improvement of world climate. The sampling was conducted on June 2018 until July 2018. This research used  purposive sampling and explorative method, with the consideration of the type, density and diameter of mangrove trees. Conducted in three stations with varying in the mangrove ecosystem conditions. Each research station was divided into three research plots, tree diameter measurements were carried out on 10 x 10 m transects, the diameter measured in each plot was only trees (≥ 5 cm diameter). The result of this research, it is found that carbon storage in mangrove stands Pasar Banggi Village is 9,620,451 ton/ha, and Tireman Village is 4,633,618 ton/ha. While  estimated carbon storage the mangrove substrate in Pasar Banggi Village is 920,982 ton/ha and Tireman Village is 471,929 ton/ha. These result that estimates carbon storages in mangrove stands are greater than estimates of carbon storage on mangrove substrate. The estimation of carbon storage in the mangrove stands increases with increasing of plant biomass and mangrove density, while estimates of carbon storage on the substrate are tsuspected to be more influenced by organic matterial and the location reseach.

Ekosistem mangrove merupakan salah satu ekosistem yang berperan dalam mengurangi karbon di udara, dan menyimpan karbon dari udara dalam bentuk biomassa pada bagian tubuh tumbuhan mangrove. Penelitian tentang estimasi cadangan karbon ini sangat diperlukan untuk menunjang perbaikan iklim dunia. Karena saat ini dunia sedang mengalami krisis global yang disebut climate change. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengestimasi cadangan karbon yang tersimpan pada tegakan dan substrat mangrove di kawasan mangrove Desa Timbulsloko. Metode yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling method dan eksploratif, dilakukan di tiga stasiun dengan kondisi ekosistem mangrove yang bervariasi. Setiap stasiun penelitian dibagi menjadi tiga plot penelitian untuk menghitung nilai biomassa tegakan digunakan rumus allometrik untuk mengestimasi cadangan karbon pada tegakan mangrove. Data karbon substrat didapat dari kandungan bahan organik substrat yang dianalisis di Laboratorium. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa cadangan karbon pada tegakan mangrove sebesar 12.370,8 ton/ha, sedangkan estimasi cadangan karbon pada substrat mangrove sebesar 1.307,77 ton/ha. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa estimasi cadangan karbon pada tegakan mangrove lebih besar dibandingkan dengan estimasi cadangan karbon pada substrat mangrove. Hasil estimasi cadangan karbon pada tegakan mangrove meningkat seiring dengan meningkatnya besarnya biomassa tumbuhan dan kerapatan mangrove. Sedangkan estimasi cadangan karbon pada substrat diduga lebih dipengaruhi oleh bahan organik dan lokasi penelitian. Estimates of Carbon Stok in the Mangrove Area in Timbulsloko Village,Demak, Central Java Mangrove ecosystem is one of the ecosystem that play a role in reducing carbon in the air. Kerusakan hutan mangrove yang terjadi karena adanya aktivitas manusia cukup mengkhawatirkan dan berpengaruh terhadap kelangsungan hidup biota yang hidup didalamnya, salah satunya adalah Gastropoda. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis makrozoobenthos gastropoda  dan menganalisa struktur komunitasnya. Pengambilan sampel dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2015 di 4 lokasi yakni Mangunharjo, Mangkang Wetan, Pantai Maron dan Trimulyo, Semarang. Penentuan lokasi sampling dengan metode purposive sampling method terbagi dari kelebatan mangrove lebat, sedang dan jarang pada setiap lokasi penelitian dengan pertimbangan pengaruh aliran sungai terhadap parameter disetiap stasiunnya.Klasifikasi kelebatan mangrove berdasarkan data sekunder kerapatan mangrove Pesisir Utara Semarang 2015. Pengambilan sampel gastropoda menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan transek 5m x 5m dan 1m x 1m dengan jumlah stasiun sebanyak 8 dan 3 kali pengulangan pada setiap stasiunnya. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 8 jenis spesies yang terdiri dari 4 famili yang berbeda.Famili Potamididae paling banyak ditemukan dengan jumlah 4 spesies. Ditemukan satu spesies Famili Neriitidae yakni Nerita sp. serta satu spesies Famili Ellobiidae yakni Cassidula sp.. Kelimpahan tertinggi terdapat pada Stasiun MR1 (25.667 ind./75m2) dan terendah distasiun MW3 (0.107 ind./75m2). Nilai Indeks Keanekaragaman masuk dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan nilai indeks keseragaman dalam kategori tinggi.Dalam penelitian ini menemukan spesies yang mendominasi pada 2 stasiun yaitu Stasiun MW1 dan MR1. The damage of the mangrove ecosystem which occur due to human activity is quite alarming and effect on the survival of biota that lived in it, one which is Gastropods. This research was conducted to find out the composition of macrozoobenthos gastropods and analyze its community structure. Sampling did on March 2015 at 4 locations, i.e., Mangunharjo, Mangkang Wetan, Maron and Trimulyo, Semarang. This study was conducted to determine and identify the community structure of gastropod macrozoobenthos in mangrove vegetation on the coast of Semarang The determination of sampling location use purposive sampling method that divide the dense mangrove luxuriance, moderate and rarely at location research. The dense mangrove classification based on secondary data from the landsat image of 8 and the data density of mangrove North Coastal Semarang 2015. Sampling use qualitative method with 5 m x 5 m transects and 12 stations with three-time repetitions for each stations. The results found gastropods 8 types of species comprising in 4 different families. Potamididae family is the most dominant where found 4 species. One species of Neriitidae family is found which Nerita sp. and one species of the Ellobidae family is also found, which Cassidula sp.. The highest abundance was found on Station MR1 (25.667 ind./75m2) and the lowest in station MW3 (0.107 ind./75m2). The value of the Diversity Index can be category as average while the Equitability Index value is high. In this study, found there is 2 dominance species on the whole research station, one at MW1 and the other at MR1.

 Substrat mangrove terdiri atas fraksi pasir (sand), lumpur (silt), dan liat (clay). Gastropoda adalah kelompok hewan dari filum moluska yang hidup di jenis substrat dari kasar ke halus. Kelimpahan gastropoda dipengaruhi oleh substrat dasar yang merupakan habitat dari gastropoda, serta kandungan nutrien yang berbeda pada tiap fraksi akan mempengaruhi kelimpahan Gastropoda yang berada di dalamnya. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai hubungan substrat dengan kelimpahan Gastropoda, karena Gastropoda salah satu faktor penting untuk menjaga keseimbangan ekologi pesisir khususnya ekositem mangrove. Penelitian  dilakukan di Hutan Mangrove Kulonprogo Yogyakarta bertujuan untuk mengetahui tipe substrat, kelimpahan Gastropoda dan hubungan kedua variabel tersebut. Penelitian  dilakukan pada bulan April sampai dengan  Mei 2017. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif yaitu metode penelitian yang memberikan gambaran secara sistematis, faktual, akurat mengenai faktor-faktor dan sifat-sifat dari suatu daerah atau populasi. Metode pengambilan sampel substrat dan Gastropoda menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling Method pada 3 stasiun berbeda yaitu stasiun I pada bagian dekat pemukiman penduduk, stasiun II pada bagian dekat tambak, dan stasiun III pada bagian muara sungai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jenis substrat pada tiap stasiun adalah lempung dan lempung berdebu yang didominasi oleh fraksi lumpur (silt) dan pasir (sand). Jenis Gastropoda yang didapatkan berasal dari genus Littoraria, Natica, Faunus, Cerithium, Neritina, Polinices, Conus, Telescopium, dan Nerita. Meningkatnya prosentase fraksi pasir (sand) dan liat (clay) akan diikuti oleh meningkatnya kelimpahan Gastropoda, sedangkan untuk fraksi lumpur (silt) akan sebaliknya yaitu meningkatnya fraksi lumpur akan diikuti oleh menurunnya kelimpahan Gastropoda. Kata kunci: Tipe Substrat, Gastropoda, Mangrove, Kulonprogo  Mangrove substrates formed by sands, silts, and clays. Gastropods is a group of animals of the phylum of mollusks lives on the type of substrate from rough to smooth. Gastropod abundance is affected by substrate which habitat of gastropods and nutrients influencing the distribution of gastropods. Therefore, it needs a deeper research about the correlation of substrate and the amount of gastropods , because gastropods are the importants factor of mangrove ecosystem. The research helds in Kulonprogo Mangrove Forest, Yogyakarta, and the goals are to know the type of substrate, the amount of gastropods, and the correlation among them. This research held on April – Mei 2017. This research use descriptivemethod wich research method that provide a systematic, factual, accurate description of the factors and quality an area or population. The method on sampling sediments and gastropods is purposive sampling in 3 station. Station 1 near the settlement, station 2 near ponds, station 3 on the estuary. The results of this research shows that the sediments on every station are clay and dusty clay, which is dominated by silt,and sand fraction. The gastropods that obtained are Littoraria, Natica, Faunus, Cerithium, Neritina, Polinices, Conus, Telescopium, and Nerita. The percentage increasing on sands and clays fraction would be more gastropods. Otherwise on silts fraction.

Tree stands in community forest have potential to absorb carbon in the air by storing in the body parts of the tree.  This study aims to determine the effect of community forest’s stand types on the number of reserves and carbon uptake.  The sampling method used is the cluster sampling method to determine the sample.  Biomass data are collection destructive and non destructive methods.  Estimation of biomass is carried out using the allometric equations.  Measurement of carbon content using the formula from BSN (2011) x 0.47.  Comparative  analysis of carbon reserves and removals uptake using the variance test  and 5 % BNT test.  Public  forests in the Negara Ratu II village with gold teak stands have carbon reserves and removals (135.87 tons/ha and 499,00 ton/ha). the most significant compared to community forests with other types of stands. While the reserve value and carbon uptake between white teak (44.86 tons/ha and 164.63 tons/ha), acacia (54.13 tons/ha and 191.20 tons/ ha), red jabon (51.20ton/ha and 187.90 tons/ha), white jabon (59.51 tons/ha and 218.40 tons/ha), is no different.

ABSTRACT: Mangrove ecosystems are ecosystems located in coastal areas that are affected by tides so that the bases are always flooded. Mangroves have ecological functions that can support the growth of organisms in them. The ecological functions include nursery ground, feeding ground, and spawing ground for organisms living in it, one of which is crustaceans. The Rembang coastal area is used by the surrounding community to change the function of mangrove vegetation land into a pond area so that it can affect the existence of crustaceans. This study aims to determine the structure of the crustacean community including composition, abundance, diversity, uniformity, dominance, and distribution patterns of mangrove vegetation in Tireman Village, Rembang District, Rembang Regency. The study was conducted in April - May 2019. The method of determining the location using purposive sampling. Sampling uses a qualitative method with a 5x5 meter sampling plot with three repetitions. The material used is crustacean community structure data and environmental parameters. The results obtained were found 10 types from 4 families originating from 2 infra-orders (Brachyura and Anomura). The highest abundance is found in Station B of 1.59 individuals / m2. Diversity individuex is low to moderate (H '= 0.98 - 1.28) and uniformity individuex is low (e = 0.21 - 0.27), and there is no dominance at each research station (C = 0.34 - 0.47). The type of distribution pattern that is found is clustered (clumped). ABSTRAK: Ekosistem mangrove merupakan ekosistem yang terdapat pada daerah tepi pantai yang dipengaruhi oleh pasang surut air laut sehingga dasarnya selalu tergenang air. Mangrove mempunyai fungsi ekologi yang dapat menunjang pertumbuhan organisme yang ada di dalamnya. Fungsi ekologi tersebut meliputi nursery ground, feeding ground, dan spawing ground bagi organisme yang tinggal di dalamnya salah satunya krustasea. Wilayah pesisir Rembang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sekitar untuk alih fungsi lahan vegetasi mangrove menjadi areal tambak sehingga dapat mempengaruhi keberadaan krustasea. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas krustasea meliputi komposisi, kelimpahan, keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dominansi, dan pola sebaran pada vegetasi mangrove Desa Tireman Kecamatan Rembang Kabupaten Rembang. Penelitian dilaksankan pada bulan April – Mei 2019. Metode penentuan lokasi menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan plot sampling 5x5 meter dengan tiga kali pengulangan. Materi yang digunakan adalah data struktur komunitas krustasea dan parameter lingkungan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh ditemukan 10 jenis dari 4 famili yang berasal dari 2 infra ordo (Brachyura dan Anomura). Kelimpahan tertinggi terdapat pada Stasiun B sebesar 1,59 individu/m2. Indeks keanekaragaman termasuk kategori rendah hingga sedang (H' = 0,98 – 1,28) dan indeks keseragaman kategori rendah (e = 0,21 – 0,27), dan tidak ada dominansi di setiap stasiun penelitian (C = 0,34 – 0,47). Pola sebaran jenis yang dijumpai yaitu mengelompok (clumped).

This research was conducted in Pinabetengan village to calculate the prevalence and preference of tick infestations in cattle in Pinabetengan Village, Tompaso District, Minahasa Regency. This study uses the Purposive Random Sampling method. 64 cattles were used as samples. Collecting ticks starts from the head, neck, back, groin, legs, and tail, then put in a bottle containing 70% alcohol based on the body parts of the animal. Based on the result research   that 30 cattles were found to be infested of tick. Preferences of ticks on body parts of cattle show that at the groin is the most infestation of ticks. The tick infestation preference based on sex it turn out that female cattle are more often infested with tick. Based on the results and discussion it can be concluded that the cattle in the North Pinabetengan village infested with Boophilus microplus tick is 46.9%. Preference for tick infestation on the body parts that are most commonly found in the groin of cattle. Preference for tick infestation in female cattle is 4.38 ticks, while male cattle are 3.33 ticks.Keywords: Ticks, Infestations, Preference, Prevalence, Cow

Blood is a liquid found in humans and all high-level animals that serves to transmit substances and oxygen needed by the body's tissues, transport chemicals from metabolism, and also as a defense of the body against viruses or bacteria. This study aims to find out the content of globulin and biuret in the blood of adolescent women and identify hemoglobin levels contained in this. Method used in this study is qualitative research that is descriptive, with sampling techniques that use purposive sampling method. The results showed that in this globulin test aims to see the presence of globulin or protein deposits in serum and the results obtained are deposits in serum samples. Then the biuret test aims to see the discoloration, and the result Occurs discoloration of the serum (white) and for this hemoglobin test aims to see if the sample blood is normal or not and the result is normal sample blood.

Abstract: Oral health plays an important role in the body health status. This study was aimed to determine the behavior about dental and oral health care among the people at Paniki, Sitaro. This was a descriptive study with a cross sectional design. Population consisted of people living at Paniki, Sitaro aged 18-60 years. There were 92 respondents obtained by using purposive sampling method. Data were collected by using questionnaire and examination of simplified oral hygiene index (OHI-S). The results showed that 60.8% of respondents had good behavior of dental and oral health care, and 75% of respondents had OHI-S evaluation as poor category. Conclusion: In general, people of Paniki, Sitaro had good behavior about dental and oral health care but their dental and oral hygiene was in poor category.Keywords: behavior of dental and oral hygiene maintenance Abstrak: Kesehatan gigi dan mulut berperan penting bagi kesehatan tubuh umumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku pemeliharaan dan status kebersihan gigi dan mulut masyarakat di Kelurahan Paniki Kabupaten Sitaro. Jenis penelitian ialah deskriptif dengan desain potong lintang, dilakukan terhadap masyarakat usia 18-60 tahun di Kelurahan Paniki Kabupaten Sitaro. Jumlah responden 92 orang diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data didapat melalui pengisian kuisioner dan pemeriksaan Oral Hygiene Index Simplified (OHI-S). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut masyarakat di Kelurahan Paniki Kabupaten Sitaro sebanyak 60,8% tergolong baik. Penilaian OHI-S dari masyarakat Paniki sebanyak 75% tergolong buruk. Simpulan: Pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan masyarakat di Kelurahan Paniki Kabupaten Sitaro tergolong baik tetapi status kebersihan gigi dan mulut tergolong buruk.Kata kunci: Perilaku pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut

Currently, there are a lot of activities in Sirandah Island, such as tourism activities and deforestation to support the activities. Mangrove forest distruction makes a useable area might have negative effect to mangrove ecosystem itself or mollusc community. This research was conducted on mangrove roots area from February until October 2016. The aim of this research is to know the diversity of Gastropods on the roots of the mangrove. This research was conducted using survey method and purposive sampling method to collecting data. We recorded 8 genera of Gastropods belong to 8 families, named Cerithium, Conus, Ellobium, Littorina, Melongena, Nerita, Cymatium and Turbo. The highest abundance was found in the genus of  Littorina with 59.33 individuals/tree. Based on location, abundance ranged from 4.33-60.33 individuals/tree with the highest abundance on mangrove roots of Barringtonia asiatica. Diversity indices of Gastropods on mangrove roots in Sirandah Island ranged from 0.77 to 1.42 which is relative low range.

ABSTRACT   Hypertension is a state of ongoing increase in blood pressure that is gradually in the normal range which results in an increase in systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and an increase in diastolic ≥ 90 mmHg. Yoga gymnastics is an activity of merging or focusing the body, mind and soul that combines relaxation techniques, and breathing and meditation, yoga exercises are highly recommended for people who are experiencing hypertension, especially in the elderly because it can relax so as to facilitate blood circulation to all parts of the body. The purpose of this study was to analyze the occurrence of changes in blood pressure in the elderly who experience hypertension at the nursing home of the foundation foundation in 2020. Researchers used a type of pre-experimental research which used a one group pretest-posttest method, and a sample of 20 respondents and by using non-probability sampling techniques, namely the purposive sampling method. The results of the value of this study are to show that there is a decrease in the level of hypertension in the elderly through yoga exercises with a total value of p value = 0,000 through the Wilcoxon rank test. Based on the research results obtained, it is expected that elderly people who experience hypertension can make yoga exercises as a non-paharmacological management to reduce high blood pressure. ABSTRAK   Hipertensi adalah keadaan berlangsungnya peningkatan tekanan darah yang berangsur-angsur pada batasan normal yang menghasilkan tekanan darah sistoliknya bertambah ≥ 140 mmHg dan diastoliknya bertambah ≥ 90 mmHg. Senam yoga adalah suatu aktifitas penggabungan atau memfokuskan tubuh, pikiran serta jiwa yang memadukan teknik relaksasi, dan pernapasan serta meditasi, senam yoga sangat dianjurkan bagi orang yang sedang mengalami hipertensi terutama pada lansia dikarenakan bisa merelaksasi hingga dapat memudahkan peredaran darah ke seluruh bagian tubuh. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis terjadinya perubahan terhadap tekanan darah pada lansia yang mengalami hipertensi di panti jompo budi bakti yayasan medan pada tahun 2020. Peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian pra-eksperimen dimana menggunakan satu metode one grup pretest-posttest, serta sampel sebanyak 20 orang responden dan dengan memakai teknik non- probability sampling, yaitu metode purposive sampling. Hasil dari nilai penelitian ini yakni untuk memperlihatkan bahwa adanya penurunan tingkat hipertensi pada lansia melalui senam yoga dengan total nilai p value = 0,000 melalui uji Wilcoxon rank test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, diharapkan orang lanjut usia yang mengalami hipertensi dapat menjadikan senam yoga sebagai manajemen non-paharmakologis untuk menurunkan tekanan darah tinggi.
