The article is one of several articles summarizing research carried out with a group of foreign students who come to Poland to participate in the Erasmus+ program. Method and research group: Research has been taking place since 2016 and is conducted using an interactive Google survey. The study group consists of 128 people aged 18 to 25 years. The respondents chose Poland, specifically the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, in order to complete a semester or an academic year. This article will also present structured interviews that were conducted with foreign students. Aim of the study: To learn about the attitude of foreign students towards modern teaching methods (e-learning). An additional goal was to verify the knowledge regarding this method of education and to compare Poland with the respondents’ home countries. Results: The respondents come from European countries such as Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, as well as, Braziland India. Most of them appreciate the possibilities of e-learning (87%). Over half of the respondents (62%) say that in Poland distance learning was rather not implemented until 2020. What changed this situation was the coronavirus outbreak. In social sciences, they also appreciate the possibility of classes in the traditional form due to the possibility of participating in workshops and specialist training, or giving presentations.

This study aims to determine the learning process of Japanese Language Hospitality during the Pandemic Covid-19 period. This study was researching effectiveness of the online distance learning process and evaluate the weakness and problem occurred during learning process. This research was conducted on 43 students of the Faculty of Tourism at Triatma Mulya University Diploma IV Hospitality Program in Third Semester, Academic Year 2020/2021. The respondent  was choosen from students who have learned Japanese Language Hospitality 3 on one semester from June to December 2020. The data collection method in this study used documentation techniques and questionnaires via google form. The online-based learning process carried out in this study is to create virtual classroom learning situations through online-based e-learning methods. Students not only listeners in class, but students are strongly directed to presentation about hotel hospitality using Japanese Language. The problem during learning process of Japanese Hospitality online are, the lack of supporting facilities in online class, less concentration and other distractions.

This case study explores an open distance learning program offered by the Information Technology and Computing (ITC) department at AOUJ, a major university in Jordan. It provides an overview of e-learning in the Arab region and explores factors that affect ODL quality in the Arab Open University in Jordan (AOUJ). The research utilized a qualitative approach, which included five lengthy semi-structured interviews with the program director, two instructors, and three students. Three important conclusions can be drawn from the study about e-learning in the Arab region: (1) the existence of adverse conditions, (2) the presence of strong instructional practices, and (3) the need to improve administrative support.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of various teaching methods used in higher education and the perception of the students regarding these methods. In order to determine the possible ways to obtain strategic advantages and benefit from the strengths, the university has to know what drives foreign students in choosing a certain study program, even if it is outside their country of origin. At the same time, knowing the disadvantages that prevent them from doing so, helps the university include ways to correct the weaknesses or to offer solutions to them. The students, participating in this research, are enrolled at the European University in Madrid, from different study programs and degrees (license, master and doctoral programs) and were asked to answer a questionnaire about the use of teaching methods, about their perceptions upon effective teaching and the reasons that have determined them to choose to follow a study program. The results were in favor of a higher use of projects, group activities and case studies during classes and seminars at the European University of Madrid and of using new technologies in the educational system (e-learning, simulations, use of intranet, and activities in laboratories). As a primer characteristic searched for when choosing a study program, the students mentioned practice, mainly for developing abilities useful for applying for a job as soon as possible. It is, therefore, important to analyze the teaching methods and this research helps us understand how students see the teaching process and which are the methods that help them to better understand and to be more active during classes. The article analyzes the experience of tutoring teachers teaching foreign students in the distance learning mode. It is also about the interaction of a teacher and a student throughout the whole academic year, as well as the importance of all elements of systematic work in teaching Russian as a foreign language from scratch. A team of tutors was organized at the faculty, whose mission was to contact their wards within the framework of distance learning: from their connection to the educational platform of the university to organizing their admission to Russian universities. Purpose of the study: consider the role of a tutoring teacher in the system of teaching Russian as a foreign language in a distance mode. The main methods of work are the methods of observation and description of the features of the pedagogical process. The forecasting method is also used to model the future educational mode of foreign students. The survey method is applied, which allows to get “feedback” from the respondents. The quantitative technique allowed us to analyze the number of responses as a percentage. The changes taking place in the world have given a powerful impetus to the improvement of digital educational resources. Teachers were able to mobilize and conduct their own experiment, while adhering to the new standards of distance learning. An attempt is made in the work to comprehensively analyze the introduced system of tutoring and summarize its first results.

Online learning remains one of the most powerful enablers and accelerators for realising higher education studies by enhancing teaching by means of innovative technologies and pedagogies. However, the success rate of students studying through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) remains very low. Therefore, institutions of higher learning in Namibia should continuously establish and assess the challenges affecting the students who opt to study via distance mode to devise strategies required to address such challenges. The objective of this study was to understand the challenges experienced by students studying through ODL at Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Namibia and establish the challenges they face. A qualitative, phenomenological, explorative, descriptive and contextual research strategy was employed in this study to explore and describe challenges experienced by students’ studying through ODL at HEI’ satellite campus in Namibia. A purposive sampling was utilised in the selection of participants. Data were collected from participants using semi-structured interviews with nine participants. Three themes were identified, namely, the reasons why students chose to study through ODL programme, challenges experienced by students studying through ODL and mechanisms for improvement. The findings of this study call for well-articulated plans and actions to address the challenges faced by students studying in the distance e-learning mode. The study recommended that both Lecturers and ODL programme Administrators should undergo refresher training on distance education annually to ensure that they are aware and can address the challenges faced by their students.

Adult learners have a set of specific and unique needs, and are different from traditional college students. Possessing greater maturity, interest in learning, and also career and life-oriented objectives, they have different expectations for their education, as well as different backgrounds and goals. This chapter examines what adult learners are, theories of adult learning, and the applicability of online learning to adult learners. Specific teaching methods and techniques are discussed for online and hybrid distance learning courses, as well as hybrid arrangements; encompassing teaching methods, types of exercises and activities, intensive course structures, block scheduling, and the use of modular course segments. Examples from an adult learner hybrid distance learning undergraduate program, Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Global Business Management, are also provided. Future trends and areas for further research conclude the chapter.

The introduction of distance learning in higher educational medical estalishments underconditions of pandemia has led to a reorganization of the educational process usingnew teaching methods, information and communication technologies (online platforms,video communication programs). In the system of training a qualified physician, clinicalanatomy and operative surgery occupy a leading place, as it develops clinical thinking,stimulates teamwork and is the basis for further study of surgery.The aim of the article - to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of teachingclinical anatomy and operative surgery to foreign students in terms of distance learningand ways to improve them.Conclusions. The study of clinical anatomy and operative surgery by foreign studentsin the context of distance learning has a number of advantages and disadvantagescompared to the traditional form. The use of the online platform Moodle (with studymaterials) and the Microsoft Teams service made it possible to conduct video lecturesand seminars online using interactive teaching methods that promote the motivationincrease and independence of foreign students. "Virtual" operational interventions usingan interactive method is a business game which allows not only to study the stages ofoperations but also to consolidate the algorithm of actions in different circumstances. Theuse of virtual and augmented reality technologies in the educational process becomes theclinical anatomy mastering better, makes it possible to improve its surgical component,which is especially important in the absence of the possibility of training operations.

This study aimed at identifying the attitudes of students enrolled in the Introduction to Education course at Karak University College towards e-learning and its applications in light of its relationship to some variables. The population of the study consisted of students enrolled in the Introduction to Education course in the Department of Educational and Social Sciences at Karak University College in the first semester of the academic year (2020 -2021) The study was applied to the entire population of the study, whose number was (75) male and female students. The study used the descriptive approach and applied a scale to identify students' attitude towards e-learning and its applications. The tool consisted of (39) items and graded on a five-degree scale. The results of the study showed that the students ’attitudes towards e-learning and its applications came as follows. 12 paragraphs of the scale were within the positive high attitudes, while the remaining 27 paragraphs had a neutral attitude and there were no negative attitudes. The mean scores of the scale was (2.94), which indicated that the students ’attitudes were overall neutral. The results of the study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample about their attitudes towards e-learning and its applications according to their academic achievement. The results also showed no statistically significant differences between students' responses about their attitudes towards e-learning and its applications according to their different experiences in the fields of e-learning, and in favor of the sample members with average experience.

In this study, the aim is to determine university students’ opinions regarding school vandalism. The study group consisted of 203 first- to fourth-year students studying at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Yıldırım Beyazıt University; Gazi Faculty of Education, Gazi University; Faculty of Health Science, Kırıkkale University; Faculty of Education; Faculty of Education, Hacettepe University; Faculty of Agriculture, Omer Halis Demir University; Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences; Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Faculty of Education in Spring 2016–2017 academic year[AQ: Please approve edits made to sentence ‘Faculty of Education. . . ’]. In this study, university students’ views regarding school vandalism form were developed by the researcher in order to determine the views of university students. The study is a descriptive type of study. These forms consisting of 20 items were designed as a five-point Likert-type scale. The frequencies and percentages will be calculated later on. It was found that students’ positive perceptions about damage to the property by someone exposed to violence. On the other hand, their most negative perceptions were increase in vandalism as the students’ age increases. Keywords: University students, school vandalism, student views.

The article considers the question of boosting motivation of language specialty students during distance learning. The problem of increasing students’ motivation during distance learning is complex, completely unresolved and relevant. It is closely related to the questions of lesson organization and conducting, ways of intensifying students’ cognitive activities in the study group, the ability to provide constructive support and exchange views on different topics. The purpose of the given article is to check on the basis of the obtained practical results what means and methods can increase students’ motivation in the process of studying practical course of the German language. It is established that the crucial prerequisite for successful online learning is a conscious consideration of the motivational factor and the ability to manage it throughout the learning process. The effective factors of online lessons are indicated in the paper: well-selected and prepared material, teaching methods tested by experience and based on technical tools on various educational platforms, selected, structured and appropriately used content, forms and teaching aids. The means and methods of boosting students’ motivation in the process of studying Practical course of the German language are analyzed, considering the specific nature of this subject. It is established that the implementation of the conceptual ideas of education is carried out with the help of information technology, which is based on the fundamental didactic principles – activation, autonomy, constructiveness and a special role is paid to the whole study group. The functions and tasks of the tutor, his role in the formation of a sense of group unity in order to intensify students’ activities during distance learning are revealed. Recommendations for boosting students’ motivation in the process of online studying Practical course of the German language are developed.
