Abstract: In this article, we will seek to reflect on the transit of archaeological objects in the social landscapes of the present. Our interest in the project will be to highlight some ways of working with these materials, looking carefully at their uses and interpretations that are not always authorized. Thus, we bring to discussion some contexts of the city of São Braz do Piauí, located in the Corredor Ecológico that separates the national parks Serra da Capivara and Serra das Confusões. On the scene, the findings of ceramics and lithics are frequent, mainly funerary pottery, made by the population in their homes and public roads. Through a public archeology of the present, we seek to follow the narratives produced about these engagements, admitting the possibilities of relating to the operationalization of other archeologies.

Abstract: Based on the evidence that the programs of land regularization have a curative nature, not having the capacity to prevent irregularity, we try to show in this study that the instruments provided by the City Statute, although necessary, are not enough to respond to the challenge faced by brazilian cities. This challenge is related to the institutional capacity of making an urban and housing policy that matches to the land regularization policies mechanisms to prevent the everyday production of informal settlements, through the offer of regular lots with low prices. We argue that the Brazilian juridical-urbanistic order provided by the City Statute does not present effective guarantees of implementation. One foresees a long juridical-political dispute process between the ones who are interested in maintaining the old juridical order cored by the absolute property right and those who defend an emergent juridical order that guarantees the social function of city and property. This article analyses the case of Porto Alegre city, where an innovative urban and housing policy called Urbanizador Social (Social Urbanizer) was created. Keywords: housing policy; land regularization; urban planning.

Novas ruralidades. In sociological thought the idea of rural is traditionally approached in direct articulation with its opposite pair, the city, as an analytical axiom of understanding of reality from a relation between two poles. A multitude of theoretical works has been dedicated to solving the difficulty, imposed by the challenge of this same axiom, of delimiting each of these specific spheres. Its conceptual product, which impregnates the rural senses, reflects, in turn, real perspectives of commitment, of specific social groups, as well as of its demands of space reproduction. The aim of this article is to bring to the surface elements of such historical narratives about the rural, with a focus on the capital-centric way of thinking about the countryside-city relationship. We defend the need to unveil the theoretical genesis of the rural, as well as the theoretical commitments established from certain demands and social circumstances, to a necessary opening to analyzes dedicated to the rural-urban conceptual duality that point to other ongoing social processes, and not reducible to capitalist rationality, such as the experience in this text of the social movement Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) with its rural-urban interface through the construction of solidarity strategies of production/distribution/consumption of food. Keywords: Rural/urban relationship. The concept of citizenship was introduced to the Arab and Islamic region duringthe colonial period. The law of citizenship, like all other laws and regulations inthe Middle East, was influenced by the colonial legacy that impacted the tribal and paternalistic systems in all aspects of life. In addition to the colonial legacy, most constitutions in the Middle East draw on the Islamic shari’a (law) as a major source of legislation, which in turn enhances the paternalistic system in the social sector in all its dimensions, as manifested in many individual laws and the legislative processes with respect to family status issues. Family is considered the nucleus of society in most Middle Eastern countries, and this is specifically reflected in the personal status codes. In the name of this legal principle, women’s submission is being entrenched, along with censorship over her body, control of her reproductive role, sexual life, and fertility.

This research deals with the development of  self concept of Hiroko as the main character in Namaku Hiroko by Nh. Dini and tries to identify how Hiroko is portrayed in the story, how she interacts with other characters and whether she is portrayed as a character dominated by ”I” element or  ”Me”  element seen  from sociological and cultural point of view. As a qualitative research in nature, the source of data in this research is the novel Namaku Hiroko (1967) and the data ara analyzed and presented deductively. The result of this analysis shows that in the novel, Hiroko as a fictional character is  portrayed as a girl whose personality  develops and changes drastically from ”Me”  to ”I”. When she was still in the village  l iving with her parents, she was portrayed as a obedient girl who was loyal to the parents, polite and acted in accordance with the social customs. In short, her personality was dominated by ”Me”  self concept. On the other hand, when she moved to the city (Kyoto), she was portrayed as a wild girl  no longer controlled by the social customs. She was  firm and determined totake decisions of  her won  for her future without considering what other people would say about her. She did not want to be treated as object. To put it in another way, her personality is more dominated by the ”I” self concept.

The qualitative and clear definition of the legal regime of the capital of Ukraine, the hero city of Kyiv, is influenced by its legislative enshrinement, however, it should be noted that discussions are ongoing and one of the reasons for the unclear legal status of the capital is the ambiguity of current legislation in this area. Separation of the functions of the city of Kyiv, which are carried out to ensure the rights of citizens of Ukraine and the functions that guarantee the rights of the territorial community of the city of Kyiv. In the modern world, in legal doctrine and practice, the capital is understood as the capital of the country, which at the legislative level received this status and, accordingly, is the administrative and political center of the state, which houses the main state bodies and diplomatic missions of other states. It is the identification of the boundaries of the relationship between the competencies of state administrations and local self-government, in practice, often raises questions about their delimitation and ways of regulatory solution. Peculiarities of local self-government in Kyiv city districts are defined in the provisions of the Law on the Capital, which reveal the norms of the Constitution in these legal relations, according to which the issue of organizing district management in cities belongs to city councils. Likewise, it is unregulated by law to lose the particularity of the legal status of the territory of the city. It should be emphasized that the subject of administrative-legal relations is not a certain administrative-territorial entity, but the social group is designated - the territorial community of the city of Kiev, kiyani. Thus, the provisions on the city of Kyiv partially ignore the potential of the territorial community.

Retracing in his novel the labyrinthine journey that leads Oedipus from the place of his abomination (Thebes) to the city of his future glory (Colonus), Henry Bauchau fills the emptiness between Sophocles’s Oedipus the King and Oedipus at Colonus. Bauchau’s hero, a powerful king, loses everything and stabs his eyes out when the cruel truth about his real identity is revealed. Blind, homeless, devoid of meaning of life, Oedipus leaves on a journey to pass away anywhere. However, his way to death turns out to be, thanks to benevolent presence of others and art’s liberating power, the road to personal elucidation. The story of Bauchau’s Oedipus, who finally recognizes himself as a truly human, is based therefore on the passage between absence and presence, between darkness and lucidity, on the union of contradictions which symbolize the complexity of human nature. This paper attempts to analyse different representations of absence in Bauchau’s novel. Afterwards, the article focuses on the ways which facilitate Oedipus’s road leading from depersonalization to rediscovery of his own identity.
