Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a major clinical problem in a wide age range that is associated with a high morbidity rate. Due to issues such as low specificity and the inability to differentiate between different types of infection in current diagnostic methods, there is a need to introduce novel UTI markers. The present study was conducted to evaluate the utility of Procalcitonin (PCT) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) as a marker of bacterial urinary tract infection. For this purpose, a cross-sectional study was conducted between November 2020 and February 2021 among 125 patients and 60 healthy volunteers (control) in Erbil Teaching Hospital. The concentration of PCT and IL-6 was quantified using the ELISA cloud immunoassay test. Between-group comparisons were assessed for the variables with analysis of variance. The results revealed that there was a significant difference between PCT levels in UTI patients (104.6±6.07) and control groups (54±2.24) (p <0.0001). The differences in IL-6 concentration in UTI patients (55.74±4.2) and control groups (24.56±2.4) were also significant (p <0.0001), implying that the level of both PCT and IL-6 increased due to bacterial infection in the urinary tract. As a whole, the findings of this study provide

The improvement of the quality of preschool education is an important task for the modern stage demonstrating the development of the Ukrainian society, the implementation of which, above all, requires the efforts of higher education institutions to train a methodologically competent specialist, who is able to master and create innovative methods, techniques and technologies for organizing the educational process of a pre-school education institution. This task fully meets the requirements of the State Standard for Preschool Education in Ukraine, the documents regulating the functioning and modern guidelines for the development of pre-school and higher education of Ukraine in the 21st century. Under these conditions, the formation of methodological competence of the future pre-school educators is of paramount importance. The purpose of the article is to cover and analyse the results of the diagnostics determining the proficiency markers of the future pre-school educators’ methodological competence at the ascertaining stage of the experiment. We consider the methodological competence of future pre-school educators as an integrative personal composition characterized by these features: the presence of the ability to reflect, the desire to carry out methodological activities, the understanding of its value, theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which provide the ability to consciously and methodologically use methods and techniques and technologies of preschool children’s education, upbringing and development. The structure of the future preschool educators’ methodological competence is made up of the cognitive, motivation- and value-centred, activity-oriented and evaluative-reflexive components and their indicators, according to which the manual of diagnostic methods is created and selected. During the ascertaining stage of the experiment, a sufficient level of methodological competence was demonstrated by 16.6%, a basic level – by 61.7%, a low level – by 21.7% of the future educators. Keywords: future educators of pre-school education establishments, methodological competence, diagnostics, components, indicators, the ascertaining stage.

The article is devoted to the problem of formation and development of competitiveness among teachers of higher education institutions. If the content and structure of professional competitiveness, defined by state standards, are formed without taking into account the personal qualities of the learning subject, its interests, abilities and are not determined by the professionalism of the teacher, it is impossible to lay the foundations of competitiveness and develop the ability to compete. The genesis of different approaches to the concept of competitiveness of the modern educator has been analyzed, in particular, in modern researches it is emphasized on: – managerial, psychological and pedagogical aspect of competitiveness. The process of forming the competitiveness of a teacher of a higher education institution, which includes its components, is outlined: = levels of development: a motivational and holistic component; emotional-volitional component; evaluation and adjustment component; = conditions of formation: the need to find such forms of work of the teacher, which would ensure the continuity of the process of his professional growth, development and introduction of multidimensional models of the organization of professional development, introduction of new educational technologies, participation in innovative activity; = development of a complex of properties of his personality necessary for a high level of professional activity. The activity of the teacher is characterized by pedagogical expediency by orientation, individually creative character in content and organization, choice of means; = ways of formation: a certain amount of knowledge, abilities, skills and continuous improvement of the state of theoretical, psychological-pedagogical, methodological and technological preparation; motives for professional self-improvement; the desire for selfrealization and self-affirmation of personality; professional growth; expanding horizons; increasing the level of development of all types of competences; the presence of cognitive interest; creating a positive image among students and colleagues; upgrading the qualification category during certification; receiving awards; raising personal rankings at different levels of subordination; improving professional competence; raising the level of organization of the educational process.

This study developed a mobile APP support learning system to compare the effects of two different learning approaches based on students’ health-related physical fitness (HRPF) achievements, self-efficacy, and system usability. There were 90 participants from four physical education classes in an elementary school of Taiwan who were assigned to the experimental and control groups. An 8-week experiment was conducted to evaluate the two different learning approaches. The experimental results showed that a mobile APP support learning approach could improve the students’ HRPF achievements. Furthermore, this study found that the self-efficacy and system operations affect the students’ HRPF achievements. To sum up, the combination of traditional and a mobile APP support learning system is an effective approach that would help students to improve their HRPF achievements. The findings can provide the key factors of assisted learning design and students’ HRPF achievements for the teachers and the related educators as references.

Nowadays, higher education providing institutions depend upon Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for all purposes like teaching, administration, learning and other research related works. ICT is found to be a major resource for bringing competitive growth for an organization. In general, the use of ICT in higher education institution plays a vital role in providing modern learning approaches. Further, the utilization of data mining in ICT can predict the performance of students and offer a way to improve it. This paper identifies the usage of ICTs among higher graduates and the impact of parameters such as gender, area of interest as well as name of the university. In addition, data mining based ranking algorithm is introduced in order to analyze the performance of students. The evaluation results show that the use of ICT in higher education provides technological improvements and these enhancements are associated with factors such as gender, area of interest as well as university. Moreover, the ranking algorithm can easily evaluate the ICT based performance of higher education institutions.
