AbstractEthics in Islamic business cannot be separated, because without it there will be confusion in determining the truth in doing business and there will be many crimes in business, thus the purpose of this study is to determine the application of business ethics in the pesantren business unit. The research methodology used is qualitative descriptive with a case study of the Sahid Bogor modern Islamic boarding school and also the Ummul Qura al-Islami Islamic boarding school in Bogor. The results of the study indicate that Islamic boarding school is able to apply business ethics through Islamic boarding school business unit as a place for Islamic teaching values and values as well as the principles of business ethics as materials that can be taught to teacher, student and the community around Islamic boarding school.Key words: Islamic business ethics, business units, Islamic boarding school AbstrakEtika dalam bisnis Islam tidak dapat terpisahkan, karena tanpanya akan menjadikan kerancuan dalam menentukan kebenaran dalam berbisnis serta akan terjadi banyak kejahatan dalam bisnis. Dengan begitu tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan etika bisnis pada unit usaha pesantren. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan berupa kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi kasus pondok pesantren modern Sahid Bogor dan juga pondok pesantren Ummul Qura al-Islami Bogor. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pesantren mampu menerapkan etika bisnis melalui unit usaha pesantren sebagai wadah dan nilai ajaran Islam serta prinsip etika bisnis sebagai bahan yang dapat diajarkan kepada asatidz dan santri serta masyarakat sekitar pesantren.Kata kunci: Etika bisnis Islam, Unit usaha, Pesantren

This article aims to determine the Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School's efforts in shaping the entrepreneurial spirit of the santri? Second, how is the development of Amidas Gontor Mineral Water in the perspective of Islamic Business Ethics? This article using field research (field research), the method used in this study using a qualitative approach, namely the author obtains data directly from sources from teachers/managers and students of the Darrusalam Gontor Islamic boarding school, Ponorogo. Research results 1) The Darussalam Gontor modern cottage's efforts in shaping the entrepreneurial spirit of the Santri, which are taught, have five characteristics, namely: confidence is cultivated to the students, by giving confidence in carrying out the production of Amidas Gontor brand mineral water—having continuous and innovative initiatives, in developing the business unit it holds and having achievement motives, which can provide the students with provisions to apply what they have learned after becoming alumni regarding entrepreneurship. The spirit of leadership, where the alumni who serve are entrusted to manage Amidas Gontor. Dare to take calculated risks, introduce the entrepreneurial results of the santri, events and expos are often held in the cottage, apart from the students, caretakers, guardians of Santri, and the wider community. 2) Development of Gontor Amidas mineral water in the perspective of Islamic business ethics principles; Unity/State; Obedience to worship is a belief in the existence of one God. Balance (Justice); evenly distributed. Free Will, done verbally for the Ponorogo area, the outer island area is done through an online application. The Pondok Gontor party is responsible for compensating for damage to the Ponorogo area outside the island. 3) Virtue: Truth and Honesty. Honest and true in establishing partnerships with agents, shops, distributors, retailers of mineral water Amidas.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya Pondok Pesantren Modern Darussalam Gontor dalam membentuk jiwa wirausaha santri? Kedua, Bagaimana Pengembangan Air Mineral Amidas Gontor Dalam Perspektif Etika Bisnis Syariah? Artikel ini menggunakan penelitian lapangan (field research), metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, yaitu penulis memperoleh data langsung dari narasumber dari guru/pengelola dan santri pondok pesantren Darrusalam Gontor Ponorogo. Hasil Penelitian 1) Upaya Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor dalam membentuk jiwa wirausaha santri yang diajarkan memiliki lima ciri, yaitu: menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri kepada santri, dengan memberikan rasa percaya diri dalam melaksanakan produksi air mineral merk Amidas Gontor. —memiliki inisiatif yang berkesinambungan dan inovatif, dalam mengembangkan unit bisnis yang dimilikinya dan memiliki motif berprestasi, yang dapat membekali mahasiswa dengan bekal untuk menerapkan apa yang telah dipelajarinya setelah menjadi alumni tentang kewirausahaan. Semangat kepemimpinan, dimana para alumni yang mengabdi dipercayakan untuk mengelola Amidas Gontor. Berani mengambil resiko yang diperhitungkan, memperkenalkan hasil wirausaha para santri, event dan expo sering diadakan di pondok, selain para santri, pengasuh, wali santri, dan masyarakat luas. 2) Pengembangan air mineral Gontor Amidas dalam perspektif prinsip etika bisnis Islam; Persatuan/Negara; Ketaatan untuk beribadah adalah keyakinan akan adanya satu Tuhan. Keseimbangan (Keadilan); didistribusikan secara merata. Kehendak Bebas, dilakukan secara lisan untuk wilayah Ponorogo, wilayah pulau terluar dilakukan melalui aplikasi online. Pihak Pondok Gontor bertanggung jawab untuk mengganti kerugian daerah Ponorogo di luar pulau. 3) Kebajikan: Kebenaran dan Kejujuran. Jujur dan benar dalam menjalin kemitraan dengan agen, toko, distributor, pengecer air mineral Amidas.

ABSTRAKPelaksanaan ibadah umrah di Indonesia dari tahun ke tahun mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Hal ini didorong dengan semakin baiknya kondisi perekonomian di Indonesia. Untuk itu diperlukan perusahaan penyelenggara perjalanan ibadah umrah dan haji yang memfasilitasi para jamaah untuk melakukan ibadah menuju ke tanah suci. Mengenai hal tersebut, sudah seharusnya perusahaan penyelenggara perjalanan ibadah umrah dan haji menerapkan etika bisnis Islam dalam menjalankan aktivitas bisnisnya. Hal ini sangat penting dikarenakan banyak terjadi pelanggaran etika bisnis Islam yang dilakukan oleh beberapa perusahaan, tidak terkecuali oleh perusahaan travel umrah haji, seperti yang banyak diberitakan dibeberapa media yang dibuktikan dengan banyaknya jamaah yang gagal berangkat ke Baitullah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti yaitu survei pendahuluan, observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi literatur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Mubina Tour Indonesia kabupaten Gresik telah menerapkan etika bisnis Islam dengan cara menyampaikan secara jujur dan benar, senantiasa berusaha untuk selalu menepati apa yang telah dijanjikan, membekali semua karyawan dengan berbagai skill dan mengemas promosi dengan trik-trik yang menarik.Kata Kunci: Etika Bisnis Islam, Perusahaan Penyelenggara Perjalanan Ibadah Umrah dan Haji. ABSTRACTPerforming Umrah in Indonesia year by year has been experiencing a significant increase. It is motivated by a better economic condition in Indonesia. Therefore, Umrah and Hajj Travel Organizer Company is needed to facilitate Muslim pilgrims to pilgrimage to Mecca. According to this, this kind of company shall implement Islamic business ethics to run their business activities. It is very important because there are many Islamic business ethics violations committed by some companies, unexceptionally Hajj and umrah travel companies as widely reported in several media. It was proven by the large number of pilgrims who failed to go to Baitullah. This research used a qualitative-descriptive approach with the case study method. Data collecting techniques used by the researcher are preliminary survey, observation, interview, documentation, and literature review. The result of the research shows that Mubina Tour Indonesia in Gresik Regency has implemented Islamic business ethics by delivering information honestly and truthfully, always trying to fulfill what has been promised, equipping all employments with many various skills, and packaging promotion with interesting techniques.Keywords: Islamic Business Ethics, Umrah and Hajj Travel Company.

Discussion in ethics of business activity poped out to minimize cheating and fraud. But actually, business ethics felt difficult to apply in practice. Modern Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor as one of the self-help Islamic Boarding Schools supported by cooperatives in pesantren (koppontren) in their activities. This paper aims to understand the application of Islamic buseness ethic in Koppontren La-Tansa Gontor. This research uses mix method which is sequential explanatory design and case study, questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation used to collecting data in this research. Data analysis was performed through data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of this research can be explained as: first, La-Tansa cooperatives sector Gontor can run the business activities with the implementation of business ethics according to the Qur’an and Sunnah values. Appear from the height understanding of the business to the axiom business ethics and the height application in business activities in each business sector. Second, the character of kyai and business unit supervisor are high. According to the data, showed that a level of the heigh direction is 80 persent and control on the application of business ethics is 72 percent. Thus, the Islamic buseness ethic can be applied on firm’s and goverment’s law with height understanding and controlling.

Islam affirms that there stand for mutual affect in business processes, until the business practice as a work field recommended to the adherents; while discussing ethics of business activity poped out to minimize cheating and fraud activities. Modern Islamic Boarding School “Darussalam” Gontor is one of the self-financing and self-help islamic boarding schools in the economic supported by cooperatives in pesantren (koppontren). This paper aims to comprehensively understand the application of Islamic business ethics and focus on the entrepreneurs in business sectors Gontor La-Tansa’s cooperatives. This research had systematically employed mix method research with sequential explanatory design and case study. Gathering data through using questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation has been performing analysis through data reduction, data display, and data verification. This paper argues that Gontor La-Tansa’s cooperatives sector can run the business activities with implementing business ethics according to the Qur’an and Sunna values. Appear from the height comprehension of the business to the axiom business ethics and the height application in business activities in each business sector. As education systems, Islamic boarding school has several advantages such as teaching religious knowledge, science and various extracurricular activities. Modern Islamic Boarding School of Darussalam GontorInodonesia is a boarding school that has a holistic education system, which is not only educate the academic skill but also educate students in developing entrepreneurship skills. This study aims to determine the effect of joining the business unit to the motivation and ability of entrepreneurship among students. This research used ethnography method with interviews and observations in business units in Darussalam Gontor. The results of this study indicate that Darussalam Gontoris a boarding school which implements 24-hour education system with various activities, such as praying togather, muajjah, learning in class, sports, mahkamatullughohand others. Differences of Darussalam Gontor with other boarding school is because Darussalam Gontor requires senior student to be responsible for business unit, such as Darussalam Press, Wisma Darussalam, La Tansa bookstore and other units. Result of this study shows that after joining the business unit, students become more motivated to develop their own business. Students also get enough knowledge to start a business or become an entrepreneur. The data showed that many alumni who have success become entrepreneurs. The entrepreneur character is heavily influenced by the role of alumni as a student of Darussalam Gontor. The alumni's businesses include production of songkok, ice cream, bookstore, travel agent, garment businessman and others. Keywords: Business unit, education system, entrepreneurship, Islamic boarding school, Islamic education

This study examines the political communication strategy carried out by Kiai as a boarding school caretaker in the General Election. The purpose of this study is to describe the political communication strategy carried out by Kiai Syafik Rofi'i, caretaker of the Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Islamic Boarding School in Bangkalan Regency, East Java Province in the 2019 General Election. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The results showed that the political communication strategy being implemented was political negotiation among kiai in Islamic boarding schools in Bangkalan Regency. In addition, political communication uses the strategy of a campaign winning team or success team, and also uses the media as a channel for delivering messages to provide understanding and influence public opinion.

Pesantren, as an authentic educational institution initiated by Indonesian Muslims, provides parents aneffective alternative to educate their children. For years, pesantren has proven trusted in educating youthand establishing a standard in both general and religious educations. In this study, the researchers willdiscuss factors that motivate parents to entrust pesantren as the institution to educate their children. Thisstudy uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, andthe results of relevant studies. After analyzing the data, the results indicate that there are two types ofmotives among parents. First is general motivation in placing children in pesantren, namely intrinsicmotivation which covers parents' ideals having a generation with the quality of faith and good moralconduct, forming morals, and building strong physical and mental. The other factor is extrinsic motivation,including intense, integrated, and comprehensive Islamic teaching, positive activities carried outcontinuously for 24 hours, and proper coaching methods. The two factors indicate that parents' motivationto entrust pesantren as an educational institution is relevant to current conditions in which the youngergeneration is prone to moral depravity

There is little research available that specifically looks at how organizations define and implement their inter-organizational governance of information technology. The challenge in such environments is also observed in large organizations where multiple business units and activities often have separate strategies and investment priorities. This paper provides both practitioners and academics with an enriched understanding of how the international airline company KLM introduced IT related governance principles and practices tailored for a multi-business-unit global organization. Insights from this exploratory single case study can contribute to further theory building and practitioner guidance regarding the crafting of both intra- and inter-organisational governance frameworks.

This study aims to describe the implementation of management functions of PondokPesantrenTahfizhPutri (PPTP) at one of the Islamic Boarding School in East Java Indonesia. The Education system integrated with the formal school. The subject of this study are 17 participants. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach as guidance so that the research focus to describe research's form question or problem identification. Result of the research show that the planning function in its management has long-term planning in vision, mission, and objectives of the foundation. Besides, the organizing function related to the organizational structure.
