This study discusses how hate speech comments on German immigrant news in social media Facebook. The purpose of the study is to describe hate speech on German immigrant news in social media Facebook and its forms in the comments column on Facebook. The study uses descriptive qualitative research and illocutionary speech act theory analysis. The results showed that the forms of hate speech found were rassismus and fremdenfeindlichkeit, antisemitismus and antimuslimischer rassismus, sexismus, homo and transphobie, and active politick. The most common hate speech found is politic aktive, namely hatred towards the German government and activists who defend minorities. The most common illocutionary acts found were expressive illocutionary acts in the form of satire for the German government, which according to them, prioritized immigrants over German society

This study aims to describe the tendency of the content of political news messages by television media tvOne, MetroTV, and RCTI ahead of the 2019 presidential election in Indonesia. This study uses a content analysis approach. The results of this study indicate that the tendency of the message content of political news broadcast by television media; (1) tvOne through the news how are you in Indonesia in the morning, the news at noon, and the news in the evening; (2) Metro TV through Indonesian good morning news, afternoon metro; (3) RCTI, through news programs about morning news, afternoon news, and evening news, during March 2019. From the three television media, it was found that news programs were dominated by political reports that discussed presidential candidate pairs. and vice-presidential candidate number 01 (Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin) compared to presidential and vice-presidential candidates serial number 02 (Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno).

This study discusses government communication in disaster management in Masamba, North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The purpose of this study was to describe the communication process of the North Luwu Regency Government, South Sulawesi Province in handling banjir bandang disasters in Masamba. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the study indicate that the central government's efforts in disaster management focus on handling refugees and restoring housing and public facilities. However, in government communication that occurred in the Masamba flash flood, North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province, the central government was less communicative, causing several problems such as the utilization of volunteers and the distribution of logistics was uneven and less focused. This is evidenced by the rejection by the central government through the Minister of Human Development and Culture regarding the construction of temporary shelters initiated by the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) from the Hasanuddin Military Command not utilized even though the construction has been completed. Finally, the Regent of North Luwu with a humanistic approach was able to resolve the problem between the community and the central government

Technological developments are able to change the habits or culture of an area, including the way people communicate. One of the technologies that change the way of socializing is through the Whatsapp application. The focus of this research is how to use Whatsapp groups as a communication medium by the community in Pandowan Village, Galur District, Kulon Progo Yogyakarta. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of Whatsapp groups as a communication medium by the community in Pandowan Village, Galur District, Kulon Progo Yogyakarta. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that the use of Whatsapp groups as a means of exchanging information on village government with the community and fellow villagers. Utilization through whatsapp groups is used as a means of delivering village government policies, conversations, and discussions between residents about village government policies.

The era of the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way people live, from offline to online. This study discusses the effect of thrift shop marketing communications on the level of fashion consumption during the pandemic. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of consumption of a person in shopping, especially Thrift Shop goods. The research method used is a quantitative approach with simple random sampling technique. The results showed that from the analysis of data calculations carried out 53.2% of respondents made the last purchase, then 32.4% had bought from the previous 2 months and 14.4% had bought 1 month earlier, so Ho was accepted while Ha was rejected. It can be concluded that the phenomenon of Thrift Shop products does not affect the consumption pattern of people's fashion products because most of the purchasing trends for Thrift products during the last three months are still passive in purchasing Thrift products on various E-Commerce platforms and social media.

This study discusses the effectiveness of online learning communication on the understanding of lecture material for UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya students. This research method uses a quantitative approach with the type of correlational research. The data was collected using a questionnaire technique through the google form application, the sampling technique was carried out using a random sample technique, and analyzed using the Chi Square statistical formula and the Correlation Coefficient.  The results showed that the calculation of the data using the Chi Square formula with the suitability of the table 0.05% resulted in x2 arithmetic > x2 table (60.69 > 3.84), so Ha was accepted while Ho was rejected. It can be concluded that there is an effectiveness of online learning communication on the understanding of lecture material for UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya students. Then, to measure the level of effectiveness, the researcher used the correlation coefficient formula and obtained a value of 0.134 with a very low category.

The purpose of this study is to understand how the application of persuasive communication in explaining religious moderation, especially that which is applied to the Youtube content of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, entitled "why should religious moderation". This research method uses a qualitative approach and a document study method, with the unit of analysis in the form of social artifacts. The results of this study indicate that in one-way communication through this Youtube video content, it is found the use of integration techniques, reward or pay-off techniques, fear-arusing techniques and icing techniques. The use of integration techniques can cause the communicant to feel that they are facing a problem and have the same position as the communicator. Fear arousing can produce the effect of communicants thinking they want to avoid it so as not to get bad like the video exemplified. The payoff technique shows the communicant knows the benefits that can be obtained by implementing the offered solution, namely religious moderation. The arrangement technique can be used to attract the attention of the communicant emotionally, by arranging sentences so that the communicant can understand it logically, and answering the doubts they have.

This research discusses how the communication strategy of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Bangkalan Regency to increase public participation in regional head elections. This study uses a qualitative approach to investigate more deeply the observed focus. The theory used is strategic planning theory. The results of this study are (1) the communication strategy of the Bangkalan Regency’s KPU to increase voter participation using conventional methods, (2) the beginner voter education strategy is one of the KPU strategies by paying special attention to first-time voters. This article discusses how the strategy for forming a brand image is carried out by the moeng coffee shop, through instagram social media. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study show good results in the formation of Brand Image by applying brand elements and brand image strategy in the Moeng kopi coffee shop. this really helped increase the crowd and the growing recognition of the Moeng coffee shop by a wide audience. The successful establishment of the Brand Image of the Moeng coffee shop is seen from the response of the Customer which showed good results for the Brand Image of the Moeng coffee shop in Surabaya.

This article discusses are how religious radicalism preventive communication among students at University of Ambon. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive with a phenomenological approach to investigate social and religious phenomena in university students. The findings of preventive communication in counteracting religious radicalism in Higher Education are: the communication of the campus academics has not been maximized to students in fostering religious understanding. Every tertiary institution needs to have real student data starting from data on their religious understanding so that they know students who are exposed to religious radicalism. The campus is expected to prepare tutor facilities in communicating preventively about religious radicalism and the dangers it causes.
