This paper took the Fengmaoding slope, typically found in the mountainous areas of central Shanxi province, as its research area. The stratum structure of the Fengmaoding slope is a typical coal measures stratum covered by a layer of loess. There are communication towers on the slope mass and top of the slope; railways, roads, and rivers at the foot of the slope. There are many villages across from the slope, therefore, the buildings and structures nearby, even the lives of the villagers are threatened by the damages caused by the deformation of the slope. Tectonic development and mining activities have very profound effects on the stability of the slope. Considering the above, this paper analyzed the effects of the fault in controlling the deformation features of the destabilized slope during underground mining by adopting the method of numerical simulation from these perspectives including displacement, stress, strain, among others. under different circumstances (the faulted and unfaulted) so as to provide guidance for future studies about landslides of the same type and give preventive proposals for reference.

For analyzing and evaluating the deformation features of channel goaf foundation and its effect on superstructure, according to the foundation reinforcement engineering of Ji-Liang Channel Check Gate, the comparative analysis on the differential settlement between the unfavorable foundation and natural foundation was performed by numerical simulation with FLAC3D. The computer results showed that the present foundation had obvious effect on the stability and security of the superstructure, so the engineering treatment are needed. Based on technical-economic comprehensive analysis among three treatment methods for strengthening the channel golf foundation with different kinds of filling, the reasonable method is put forward in this paper. By comparing mechanical characteristic of flashboard in channel goaf before and after strengthening, we confirmed the foundation stability of channel goaf and the security of the ground building which can satisfy the long term usage requirements.

The analysis model of coal pillar of a empty mine goaf in north of Shanxi province was constructed and the process of coal pillar from formation to weathering was simulated through the application of software of FLAC3D in this article. The stressstrain and the law of plasticity transformation of coal pillar from formation to weathering were analyzed and the long-term stability of coal pillar was forecasted. The result showed that the stability of coal pillar was bad for excessive excavated and weathering and the coal pillar will be broken easier for pressure and shear.

This paper uses the simulation technology of computer numerical simulation, combined with the GAMBIT numerical modeling software and ANSYS structure analysis software, we carry out an in-depth research and analysis on the stability of engineering simulation, at the same times establish the mathematical model of ANSYS numerical simulation displacement stability and design the ANSYS command stream program algorithm. Finally, this paper uses the open-pit to underground mining slope stability as an example, to verify the reliability of the model and algorithm. Through the numerical simulation, we get the displacement of slope in the Y direction and Z direction. In the Y direction, the maximum displacement is 0m, the negative maximum displacement is 5.88m and displacement is relatively large; in the Z direction, the maximum displacement is 1.32M, the negative maximum displacement is 1.08M and the stability of slope is different in different position. The numerical simulation provides the theory reference for the safety of mining engineering.

Because of their exceptional absorption capacity, biodegradability, and nontoxicity, nanomaterials fabricated from renewable natural resources have recently become an increasingly important research area. However, the mechanism of drug encapsulation by lignin nanoparticles and the role of nanoparticle structure on the stability and loading performance still remain unknown. Herein, lignin hollow nanoparticles (LHNPs) were prepared and applied as promising vehicles for the antineoplastic antibiotic drug doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX). The hydrogen bonding and π−π interactions contributed to the encapsulation of hydrophilic DOX by LHNPs with hydrophobic cavities. The encapsulation of DOX was enhanced by the pore volume and surface area. In addition, the nanoparticles contributed to the cellular uptake and the accumulation of the drug within HeLa cells. This work provides a scientific basis for future studies on the selective entrapment properties of hollow polymer nanoparticles derived from biomass material as vehicles for overcoming pharmacokinetic limitations.

The stability of the roadway surrounding rock is the key factor of underground mining. Roof subsidence occurred during roadway excavation in the Menkeqing Coal Mine. For the sake of safety, it was decided to stop tunneling project and strengthen roadway support, which resulted in a delay of the construction period and economic damage. To maintain the stability of the surrounding rock, we carried out a systematic study through field monitoring, theoretical analysis, and numerical simulation. The deformation and failure law of the surrounding rock, roof structure characteristics, and mechanical properties of the surrounding rock were obtained by field monitoring. The failure characteristics and forms of deep composite roof roadway are further analyzed. The key points of stability of the roadway surrounding rock of soft rock composite laminated roof are obtained by theoretical analysis, i.e., improving the effective stress diffusion efficiency of the anchor cable through the reasonable arrangement of the anchor cable. We use FLAC numerical simulation software to study the influence of different supporting parameters of anchor cable on the stress diffusion in the surrounding rock and put forward the optimal parameters. The optimized support parameters have been applied in the field, and the ideal results have been obtained.

When being constructed, complex dynamical networks can lose stability in the sense of Lyapunov (i. s. L.) due to positive feedback. Thus, there is much important worthiness in the theory and applications of complex dynamical networks to study the stability. In this paper, according to dissipative system criteria, we give the stability condition in general complex dynamical networks, especially, in NW small-world and BA scale-free networks. The results of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation show that the stability i. s. L. depends on the maximal connectivity of the network. Finally, we show a numerical example to verify our theoretical results.

Introducing a thin cut from the surface of a part containing residual stresses produces a change in strain on the surface. When the strains are measured as a function of the depth of the cut, residual stresses near the surface can be estimated using the compliance method. In previous work, the unknown residual stress field was represented by a series of continuous polynomials. The present paper shows that for stress states with steep gradients, superior predictions are obtained by using “overlapping piecewise functions” to represent the stresses. The stability of the method under the influence of random errors and a zero shift is demonstrated by numerical simulation.

Aluminium alloys show a great potential for lightweight constructions due to their high strength and low density but the production of this material is very energy consuming. Also the recycling of aluminium alloys, e.g. chips from the milling process, shows different challenges. Beside contamination by cooling lubricant and oxidation of the surface of the chips the melting and rolling process for new semi finish products needs a high amount of energy. TEKKAYA shows a new approach for recycling of aluminium alloy chips by an extrusion process at elevated temperatures producing different kinds of profiles. A new idea is the production of components directly out of chips using severe plastic deformation for joining of the chips similar to the accumulative roll bonding process in sheet metal forming. In a first approach aluminium alloy chips out of a milling process were uniaxial compressed with different loads inside an axisymmetric tool installed in a universal testing machine. The compressed chip disks subsequently were tested with two experiments to gain information on their stability. First experiment is a disk compression test with the disk standing on its cylindrical surface, giving information on the stability perpendicular to the compression direction. Second experiment is a stacked disk compression test with three disks to investigate the stability parallel to compression direction. During all three tests force and displacement values are recorded by the universal testing machine. These data are also processed to calculate or identify input parameters for the numerical investigations. For numerical simulation ABAQUS in conjunction with the Drucker-Prager-Cap material model, which is often used for sintering processes, seems to be a good choice. By numerical simulation of the experiments and comparison with the experiments input parameters for the material model can be identified showing good accordance. This material model will be used in future numerical investigations of an extrusion process to identify tool geometries leading to high strains inside the material and by this to an increased stability of the parts.

HuJiaDi tunnel construction of Dai Gong highway is troublesome, the surrounding-rock mass give priority to full to strong weathering basalt, surrounding rock integrity is poor, weak self-stability of surrounding rock, and tunnel is prone to collapse. In order to reduce disturbance, taking advantage of the ability of rock mass, excavation adopt the method of "more steps, short footage and strong support". The excavation method using three steps excavation, The excavation footage is about 1.2 ~ 1.5 m; The surrounding rock bolting system still produce a large deformation after completion of the first support construction, it shows that the adopted support intensity cannot guarantee the stability of the tunnel engineering. Using ABAQUS to simulate tunnel excavation support, optimizing the support parameters of the tunnel, conducting comparative analysis with Monitoring and Measuring and numerical simulation results, it shows that the displacement - time curves have a certain consistency in numerical simulation of ABAQUS and Monitoring and Measuring.
