The aim of this research was to determine and understand the royalty fees for retail store franchise business in the perspective of Islamic economic law in the city of Makassar. This research was a type of qualitative descriptive research (non-statistical) using normative, phenomenological, and sociological approaches. Findings of this research revealed that: First, the franchise of company X with its franchisee was in accordance with the Islamic law, there was no element of fraud in terms of contracts and agreements which was implemented in transparency. While, the franchise of company Y and its franchisee, there were different perceptions of policies related to the contract and franchise agreement, namely the absence of a written signing so that it was not in accordance with sharia, but both parties agreed on considerations and amendment policies that made specifically by the franchisee. Second, the implementation of royalty fees between the two companies had been carried out in transparency. The difference of both companies and their franchisees was from the policy of late payment of royalty fees. Company X and its franchisee used a maximum three-month deadline with an interest system, this was not adjusted to Islamic law because interest includes usury. Then, company Y and its franchisee would absolutely not use the delay system policy, because the royalty fee would automatically be deducted from the franchisee's cashback by purchasing products at Company Y.

The development of the education curriculum in Indonesia makes students must have skills so that they can compete globally, especially in the 21st century. The development is closely related to technology and information. One of skills that support the development of technology and information is the computational thinking skills. This study aims to analyze students’ computational thinking skills on the number patterns lesson during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study was qualitative-descriptive research with the subjects of 4 students from 8th grade in Makassar. The instruments used in this study were a test of the computational thinking skills in the form of essay type test on the number patterns lesson and interview guidance. The results of this study indicated that all subjects met the first indicator of problem decomposition and one subject met the second indicator of problem decomposition, all subjects met the indicator of pattern recognition, three subjects met the indicator of abstraction and generalization, all subjects met the first indicator of algorithmic thinking and two subjects met the second indicator of algorithmic thinking on computational thinking skills. Thus, students’ computational thinking skills during the Covid-19 pandemic were still low, so an educational framework is needed to improve students’ computational thinking skills.

The villagers of Kusamba and Kampung Kusamba are social reality that cannot be separated and they interact with each other. Behind the robust spirit of multiculturalism and social harmony that are built continually, it does not mean that there does not appear conflict potential. Since conflict can reduce and even ruin the inter-village relation, a lot of strategies emerge. The objective of this research is to explore three scope of problems: (1) analysis of the inter-village conflict potential; (2) communication strategies of Hindu-Muslim leaders; and (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors of the communication strategy.

This research takes place in Kusamba and Kampung Kusamba village. This research is also sort of qualitative descriptive research, which uses purposive sampling to determine the informant. Some relevant theories that serve as guidelines in this research include the theory of symbolic interactionism and the theory of face negotiation. Data collection methods employed in this research are moderate participation observation technique, in-depth interview, and documentation science. Meanwhile, this research utilizes modern ethnographic approach as a data analysis method.

The obtained results show that: (1) The inter-village conflict potential stems from the social problems of youth which often give rise to friction, and sometimes misusing of the community sentiments to carry out a plan of attack will give rise to far greater conflicts. Besides, conflict potential also stems from socio-economic problems faced by migrant populations. (2) Hindu-Muslim leaders overcome the conflict potential through interpersonal communication strategies such as informal dialogue, group communication strategies, negotiation and mediation, as well as traditional communication strategies using local traditions and cultural performance which is strengthened by the value of local wisdom heritage for example matilesang raga, mulat sarira, nawang lek, and manyama braya. (3) The supporting factors of the communication strategy are the credibility of the leaders, mutual understanding, and the infrastructure factors, while the inhibiting factors are the difference of the framework of thinking, cultural differences, and negative prejudices.

The purpose of this research was to determine the cognitive processes that occur in problem solving for Class VIII A students of SMPK St. Paulus Karuni. Type of this research is a qualitative descriptive research, by analyzing the results of students based on Bloom's Revised Taxonomy. The subjects of this research were students of VIII A SMPK St. Paulus Karuni in the 2018/2019 academic year consisting of 11 students, which is a special class that uses a metacognitive and discursive approach to mathematics learning. Collecting data in this qualitative descriptive research is in the form of test results from students. As supporting data in this research, students are given special rules in carrying out tests. Namely students may only make scratches in addition to the answers given. Based on the results and discussion of students of class VIII A SMPK St. Paulus Karuni consisting of 11 students, there are four different types of answers. The results of the cognitive process analysis are 9 students with the first and fourth types of answers able to reach the C5 level or meet the first five indicators. One student with the second type of answer is able to reach the C4 level or meet the first 4 indicators. Whereas one other student who has the third type of answer, is able to reach level C2 or only meet the first two indicators
