The possibility of infographic modeling of the modern phased educational process as a virtual space of mental activity and productive activity of an individual is shown. This space is considered as a sequence of “steps of ascent” of a person from his initial educational process in the family to the educational and research process of training a specialist of the highest category in the university. Such an “ascent” allows us to consistently expand and improve the individual field of opportunities for a particular person, ensuring that he is able to carry out activities in accordance with the knowledge, skills and competencies obtained. The process of "ascent", due to objective or subjective circumstances, can be stopped at any of the stages under consideration and subsequently continued. The materials presented in this article are the result of research by the author and his scientific school “Infographic modeling of functional systems”, the results of which were summarized in publications.

The existing legislation determines the education as "an integral and focused process of teaching and upbringing, which represents a socially important value and shall be implemented so as to meet the interests of the individual, the family, the society and the state". However, even in this part, the meaning of the notion ‘socially significant benefit is not specified and allows for a wide range of interpretation [2]. Yet the more inconcrete is the answer to the question – "who and how should determine the interests of the individual, the family and even the state?" The national doctrine of education in the Russian Federation, which determined the goals of teaching and upbringing, the ways to attain them by means of the state policy regulating the field of education, the target achievements of the development of the educational system for the period up to 2025, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of October 4, 2000 #751, was abrogated by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 29, 2014 #245 [7]. The new doctrine has not been developed so far. The RAE Academician A.B. Khutorsky believes that the absence of the national doctrine of education presents a threat to national security and a violation of the right of citizens to quality education. Accordingly, the teacher has to solve the problem of achieving the harmony of interests of the individual, the family, the society and the government on their own, which, however, judging by the officially published results, is the task that exceeds the abilities of the participants of the educational process.  The particular concern about the results of the patriotic upbringing served as a basis for the legislative initiative of the RF President V. V. Putin, who introduced the project of an amendment to the Law of RF "About Education of the Russian Federation" to the State Duma in 2020, regarding the quality of patriotic upbringing [3]. Patriotism, considered by the President of RF V. V. Putin as the only possible idea to unite the nation is "THE FEELING OF LOVE OF THE MOTHERLAND" and the readiness for every sacrifice and heroic deed for the sake of the interests of your Motherland. However, the practicing educators experience shortfalls in efficient methodologies of patriotic upbringing, which should let them bring up citizens, loving their Motherland more than themselves. The article is dedicated to solution to this problem based on the Value-sense paradigm of upbringing educational dynasty of the Kurbatovs [15].

In a pandemic, the child-parent relationship is facing new challenges. Social isolation affects people differently, but a sustainable internal psychological resource allows the individual to get out of the critical period with as little damage as possible. Healthy emotionality is a basic prerequisite for the formation and development of emotional intelligence. The identification of the emotion, the control over the impulse and its expression in a socially acceptable way by the parent - all this is inextricably linked with the process of upbringing in the family and marks the nature of the relationship between parents and children. The study focuses on the study of the emotional style of the modern parent in the context of his interaction with the children in the family. The emotional style questionnaire used by a team from the University of Wisconsin-Madison was used. The survey was conducted among parents of children and students from 3 to 18 years. Conclusions were made regarding the specifics of the emotional style of the parents in the context of the established state of emergency and in connection with pedagogical activities aimed at creating conditions for increasing the emotional intelligence of the respondents with the support of the school.

We present a detailed theoretical and methodological expertise for the implementation of the author's program for students “Safe Internet”. This program is relevant due to the need to study the effectiveness of comprehensive preventive work, including primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of Internet addiction among students in an integrated group in the conditions of the educational process at the university, since this approach helps to reduce the risk of the occurrence and development of this addiction in the student environment. We present the methodological basic principles of the program and its novelty, which fundamentally distinguishes the author's preventive program from similar ones. The form of organizing work with students in this direction and the content part of the program include three blocks: a block on working with the family (focused on educating the family); a block of personal development (focused on revealing students' personal resources that prevent the emergence or development of addiction); a leisure block (focused on productive employment of students and exciting leisure). We disclose and developed methodically each block. The structure of the program is built in such a way that the holistic and consistent implementation of all its constituent parts ensures that the primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of Internet-addictive behavior among students is carried out simultaneously in the conditions of the university.

Purpose – This paper aims to improve the understanding of individual transdisciplinary PhD research in a developing country context, focusing on three individual PhD case studies in South Africa. Design/methodology/approach – Multiple-case method was used, and three completed transdisciplinary PhD research efforts undertaken at the Stellenbosch University were selected. They were coordinated through the TsamaHub, an inter-faculty platform at the University which organises educational modules for transdisciplinary research. Using actual research experiences and reflections of the three individual PhDs, the paper evaluates their work in terms of ontological, epistemological, methodological and methodical/methods aspects. Findings – The central challenge to individual PhD researchers is engagement with non-academic actors to enable joint problem formulation, analysis and transformation. To overcome this, the paper suggests that developing individual epistemic relationships to build “transdisciplinary epistemic communities” should be considered for inclusion as an intentional aspect of transdisciplinary research design. Research limitations/implications – “Transdisciplinary epistemic communities” is still a concept in its infancy and needs more work before it may be theoretically and practically useful. Practical implications – Continuously guiding the individual transdisciplinary research process in a reflexive, recursive, transparent and equal manner is absolutely critical because transdisciplinary research cannot be done successfully if dominated by overly methods-driven approaches. Originality/value – The discourse around transdisciplinary methodology has major implications for the design of individual PhD research. The paper provides recommendations to enhance the theory and practice of individual transdisciplinary PhD research.

The article carries out a retrospective logical-system analysis of the scientific heritage of the first rector of the Kiev Froebel Pedagogical Institute I.O. Sikorsky (1842–1919) – a doctor of medicine, a well-known teacher and psychologist, a professor of the University of St. Volodymyr, chairman of the Kiev Froebel Society of the Promotion of Education. It was found out that the scientist considered the comprehensive knowledge of the child by a chain that unites family and school, and the integration of knowledge on psychology, medicine, upbringing and development of the family was a foundation for effective education of the individual. The interpretation of the ultimate goal of education by I.O. Sikorsky defined as the achievement of harmonious development of the spirit and body, mental and physical, as the balance of mental, moral and aesthetic principles. The directions and mechanisms of implementation of the author's medical-psychological-pedagogical concept I.O. Sikorsky are investigated in the content of vocational and pedagogical training of the Kiev Froebel Pedagogical Institute (1907–1920).

The learning process at the faculty requires not only attending lectures and active participation in the tutorials, but also intensive individual work of a student, which is often presented in the form of a seminar paper. However, the most important individual work of a student is definitely a final paper - a diploma or a master's thesis. In order to present and facilitate the preparation of written works for the students of the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor, we have prepared this handbook for writing and editing texts at the faculty. The professional monograph covers the chapters that lead the student through the whole process of research and writing their paper. From the initial search of the research idea and the basics of scientific writing and research in tourism, to the individual steps of the research process and research methods. The professional monograph also includes a chapter on personal relationships, which in particular addresses the relationship between a student and a mentor in the process of preparing the paper or thesis. The handbook also provides practical advice on language and text designing, as well as instructions for citing references. The professional monograph, thus, combines basic information that both students of tourism and their lecturers will use in their study and work processes, as they will follow the uniform guidelines for writing texts in tourism at the Faculty of Tourism.

The education system at the university at the present stage is being created in the context of reforming education and other areas of activity that are closely related to the development processes of civil society. In todays’ Russia, the educational system that developed during the Soviet period has essentially lost its influence, and in accordance with the new challenges of the time, a different system for organizing the educational process is being formed. When teaching bachelors of technical sciences, it is possible and necessary to take into account the educational potential of technical disciplines in the complex process of a future engineering and technical worker personality forming. The methodological basis of the study is the psychological and pedagogical theory and practice of creating a system of educational activity when teaching engineering disciplines at a university with the aim of forming the personality of a competitive specialist in engineering and technology and reflecting the requirements of educational and professional standards for the training of experts in engineering profiles. The purpose of this article is to determine professionally important qualities and professionally significant psycho-physiological properties, based on theoretical analysis and study practical experience in teaching geometric graphic disciplines at a university, which students can form in the learning process for personal development and successful mastering of the profession in accordance with professional standards and the realities of industrial and technical sphere. Graphic culture has an impact on the worldview and moral values of the individual, forms aesthetic tastes, contributes to the formation of a civic position and responsibility. Educational activities at the university should be implemented not only in sports, leisure and entertainment events, but the most important aspects of personal education in learning technical disciplines are the formation of cognitive independence, strong-willed personality, emotional, behavioral, intellectual flexibility, which are the key qualifications of the future engineer. The results can be used in the teaching of graphic disciplines in technical universities.

Automating scheduling is a classic task in learning management systems. The process of scheduling is, in a sense, the final one in the chain of support of educational activities, and its automation reveals all inconsistencies and shortcomings of the previous processes. In order for the scheduling to be automated as much as possible, a lot of various initial information should be processed in the information systems of the university — curricula, staff, workload, schedule of the educational process, contingent of students, classroom fund. It is especially difficult for universities with educational programs of various orientations — natural science, humanitarian, creative, etc., which have specific principles for organizing and conducting classes.The level of automation of educational activities at Dostoevsky Omsk State University, a classical university with a wide variety of types of educational programs, made it possible to tackle the task of scheduling. However, during the implementation of the automated scheduling system, the project team faced a number of problems.The article describes the results of the project for the transition to an electronic schedule in Dostoevsky Omsk State University using the circulation software product 1C:Automated scheduling. University based on the 1C:Enterprise 8.3 system. Initial data on the individual workload of teachers, the classroom fund, the list of student groups, and the list of disciplines were loaded into the configuration from the existing information system of design of Dostoevsky Omsk State University. Based on the results of the audit of the downloaded reference information, the initial data, including curricula, were normalized. The compiled schedule in two modes (manual and automatic) was published on the official website of the university and is used to operate a chatbot on the VKontakte network to inform students and teachers about upcoming classes.

The article reveals the problem of educating creative activity as a factor in the civil socialization of the individual comprehends the phenomenon of creative activity and civil socialization, interprets their real representation and sociocultural potential for the development of civil society in modern Russia. The authors analyze the positions of scientists on the essence of the key terms of this problem and the results of a survey of students on the individual activity, factors that contribute to and inhibit the successful socialization of youth, as well as effective forms, methods, means of educating creative activity, on the importance of project, research, volunteer, analytical, evaluative and reflective activities in the educational process of the university. The main problems and prospects for the creative activity in the sociocultural space are summarized.
