ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the scientific literature on Baby-Led Weaning with an integrative literature review to identify risks and benefits. Data source: The databases used were: National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS – Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde), US National Library of Medicine (PubMed), and Virtual Health Library (BVS – Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde) in December 2017. The inclusion criteria established were publications in English with the descriptor “baby-led weaning” in the heading, abstract, or keywords, classified as original articles, of primary nature, and available online and in full. We excluded review articles, editorials, letters to the editor, critical commentaries, and books on the subject, as well as articles not available in full and duplicates. Data summary: We identified 106 articles, of which 17 met the selection criteria. The Baby-Led Weaning method was significantly associated with the baby’s satiety, the start of complementary feeding, and adequacy of weight gain. On the other hand, choking and the intake of micronutrients were negatively associated, however with no statistical differences. Conclusions: Despite the benefits found, the risks still deserve attention and should be investigated with longitudinal randomized controlled studies to ensure the safety of the method when practiced exclusively.

In recent decades, consumption of illicit substances has become a concern of society, a public health problem due to the high incidence of social problems related to its use and the risks to users' health. The transition period to the university is a time of vulnerability to exposure to drugs, thus, academics have the first contact with some kind of substance at that stage. The objective of this study was to investigate what has been produced in the literature on the use of drugs among nursing students in Brazil. It is a study with a quantitative approach, of type literature review. We used the descriptors: "Nursing, Drugs and Academics" and the databases Virtual Health Library (VHL), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) and the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) for articles search. A total of 149 publications were found and, after analytical reading, a sample of 10 articles was developed to develop the study. As a result, it was observed that the prevalence of illicit drug use is more predominant among male students, in general, but the female sex is higher among the participants, the difference is due to the high prevalence of women in the Nursing course . The age group most found in the studies is 18 to 30 years of age and the drugs most commonly used by academics are marijuana and cocaine. According to the studies presented, the consumption of illicit drugs directly affects the life of nursing students, reinforcing it as a serious public health problem.

The covid-19 outbreak in the world and in Indonesia since last March 2020, has caused the activities of most people to be carried out from home. The library is an institution that is obliged to carry out work from home. Therefore, a study was conducted to determine the activities carried out during the covid-19 pandemic. This research uses the literature review method. The data source used was EBSCOhost which was accessed fro the E-Resources of the National Library of Indonesia on May 6, 2020. The search used the keyword covid-19 and objectives. The data obtained from the search results are then analyzed against each article with the aim of solving and identifying important information contained therein. Furthermore, the synthesis of all the articles obtained is carried out, namely integrating and identifying conclusions that can be drawn from all articles. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that abroad, during the covid-19 pandemic, both public libraries, college libraries, although there are some closed, there are those who postpone activities, but they still provide services to users by utilizing various information technology platforms and social media. In addition to providing information services to users, libraries even provide infrastructure to be used as a place to distribute aid resources to communities affected by covid-19. The experiences of several librarians who are involved in the response to covid-19, such as the participation of a librarian in providing face shield can provide information to the public that librarians are also contributing to the prevention of the covid-19 outbreak.

The population of Brazil and the world is aging. The great challenge is to grow old by maintaining quality of life with health, including oral health. The objective of this study was to identify the recurrent themes in Geriodontics, through a bibliometric survey, using the database of Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), conducted in 2016. Geriodontics, as a relatively new specialty, presents major challenges related to the elderly population (oral health, prostheses, periodontics, for example). In view of a historical context of aging and increased elderly population, there is a concern to deepen the studies in relation to the subject. Knowing the problems allows offering a better service with quality and adequate training of the professional.

Hypertensive patients with COVID-19 are susceptible to complications of the disease, so this study aimed to analyze the action of drugs that act on Angiotensin (TA) in the presence of COVID-19 in comparison with other antihypertensives, as well as to identify the main ones. evidence on the subject presented so far. It is an integrative literature review containing 34 articles selected according to the inclusion criteria, between January / 2020 to February / 2021, in the PubMed, Embase, Scopus and Web of Science databases. The results do not show a causal relationship between the increase in COVID-19 infection and the use of RAAS inhibitors, but a possible protective effect of these against the severe manifestation of the disease due to the inhibition of the pro-inflammatory diseases of AT II. Thus, about ⅔ of the studies defended the continuity of use and the protection factor of RAAS blockers to the detriment of the other classes of antihypertensive drugs that do not modulate RAAS. It was found, then, that antihypertensive treatment should be maintained, as it does not worsen the prognosis in the face of Sars-CoV-2 infection. However, the studies are mainly observational and, therefore, cannot establish strong causal relationships. For this reason, robust randomized controlled trials are needed to better understand this topic.

Literature review on the assessment of the efficacy of platelet rich autoplasma for the treatment of various musculo-skeletal system diseases - tendinopathy, osteoarthrosis, injuries of ligaments, tendons, muscles and bones is presented. Platelet rich autoplasma contains growth factors and secretory proteins that can start up remodeling and restorative processes in pathologic tissues. The method showed itself to be effective, safe, free from side effects and complications. Most of the research workers consider it reasonable to conduct randomized controlled studies in order to receive reliably data on this methods efficacy.

ABSTRACT Although systematic reviews have numerous advantages, they are vulnerable to biases that can mask the true results of the study and therefore should be interpreted with caution. This article aims at critically reviewing the literature about systematic reviews of observational studies, emphasizing the errors that can affect this type of study design and possible strategies to overcome these errors. This is an integrative literature review whose search was conducted in the databases States National Library of Medicine, Scientific Electronic Library Online and Google Scholar. The following descriptors were used: review, bias (epidemiology) and observational studies as the subject, including relevant books and documents which were consulted. Data collection was conducted between June and July 2016. The most known errors present in the design of systematic reviews were those related to the selection and publication. Although this type of study is subject to possible errors, preventive measures used during the planning of systematic reviews and even during and after their implementation can help ensure scientific rigor. This literature can serve as an important tool for the development and interpretation of systematic reviews of observational studies.
