Various education policies have been developed to achieve the national education objective, including the policy of Islamic education management. The research aims to find about the management of education program policies, management of educators and education personnel, management of curriculum and lesson planning, instructional management, infrastructure management, financial management, and assessment system management, especially at Miftahul Khoir Integrated Islamic Senior High School. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentary studies. Based on the research results, the management of education at Miftahul Khoir Integrated Islamic Senior High School is integrated well, and appropriate to The Unity of Knowledge theory, including the policy, the personnel, the curriculum, facilities and structures, the financial, and also the assessment system. Berbagai macam kebijakan pendidikan telah dikembangkan untuk mencapai tujuan nasional tersebut, termasuk kebijakan manajemen pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen kebijakan program pendidikan, manajemen pendidik dan tenagakependidikan, manajemen kurikulum dan perencanaan pembelajaran, manajemen pembelajaran, manajemen sarana prasarana, manajemen pembiayaan, dan manajemen sistem penilaian, khususnya di SMA Islam Terpadu Miftahul Khoir. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, manajemen pendidikan Islam SMA Islam Terpadu Miftahul Khoir bersifat terpadu sesuai dengan teori The Unity of Knowledge, yang meliputi kebijakan program pendidikannya, personel sekolahnya, kurikulumnya, sarana dan prasarana, keuangannya, dan juga sistem penilaiannya.Kata Kunci: Kepribadian Islam, Manajemen Pendidikan Islam, Pendidikan Islam.

The number of productive age of Indonesian population will reach the highest rate in the year 2035. Thisachievement actually begins in 2010. Since it is something new after this nation got its freedom, the government makes a lot of effort to make sure that the large  number of productive age population is in line with its high quality as well. The linearity of quantity and quality is then called by the demographic bonus (bonus demografi) which the national development enables to take advantage of it. However, if the condition both the quantity and the quality of the population is upside down between one to another itpossibly becomes disastrous demographic (bencana demografi) (Kemendikbud, 2013: 7). Many efforts have been carried out to pursue the demographic bonus. One of them is through the national education together with its management which emphasizes on pupils’ integrated multi-intelligence. Education and management are like two sides of coin. It brings many issues.  One of them is about humane education management issue. Most of educators and experts pay a little attention tothe humane education management in the teaching and learning activities (KBM, for short) in this country since they think it naturally goes on. At State Islamic Senior high School (MAN,for short) 2 Brebes is one for instance. Becoming the only state Islamic State Senior High School in southern District of Brebes, MAN 2 Brebes experiences quite good progress in the last five (5) years due to the academic and non-academic achievement. This paper describes the humane education management implemented by educators in MAN 2 Brebes. The type of research used in this paper is a qualitative case study approach. The research location is at MAN 2 Brebes. The subjects of the study consisted of Principal, Vice-Principals, Teachers, students and also Administration Staff. The Data Collection technique in this research is taken through interview, observation, documentation, and questionnaire.  The data validation test is done by triangulation and data collection techniques. The data analysis was performed with data reduction, display and conclusion. The result showed that humane education management that is carried out humanly in MAN 2 Brebes treats the learners humanely rather than the reverse such as bullying done by teachers or among students, theft, and other crime. Humane education management conducted in MAN 2 Brebes has a number of purposes. Among others are: 1). giving motivation for students, 2). initiating to self-concept, 3). Developing and improving creativity, 4). leading to positive curiosity, 5). reducing anxiety, and 6). escaping from  being  a stranger at madrasa.

The research aims to find out the student's strategies in translating idioms. The method used in this study qualitative descriptive, this study was conducted at SMA SwastaPencawan Medan with the samples were 23 students of XI-MIA-2. The researcher used an essay test with 25 questions to translate idioms sentences. The result collection collected data from the students convert sentence researchers provided the database on the results of students' strategies in translating idioms on an essay test. Using a phrase of similar meaning in form result show there were 61 (34,27%), using a language of same meaning but dissimilar form in form show there were 19 (10,67%), translating by paraphrase in form result show there were 70 (39,33%) and translation by omission in form show there were 28 (15,73%). The result showed that many students translate idioms sentences with translation by paraphrase. The dominant strategies students are predominantly translation by paraphrase, and most students cannot turn the idiom in to the sentence that has been given. Senior High School Muhammdiyah 10 Surabaya is a school that dares to make a different curriculum from Diknas. It was rejected because it did not fit the existing curriculum. In its first year, the school receives two classes of students. This achievement soared in the second year. Second year there are five classes. The curriculum used at Senior High School Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya is called "Talent Executive School." This study aims to find out the development of outstanding school culture at Senior High School Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya, also describe the form of outstanding school culture, the process of planting values and ethos of achievement to students and knowing the implications of the development of outstanding school culture at Senior High School Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya. Although the facilities and infrastructure at Senior High School Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya have limitations but they are able to continue to develop the potential and ethos of interpreting in the academic and non-academic fields. So it becomes an attraction for researchers to conduct a researcher in the school with a different school style than usual. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The planting of values and ethos of achievement in students is carried out through school orientation activities, learning process, learning evaluation, extracurricular, achievement awards, love for alma mater, teacher conscientiousness, cooperation with parents of students and planting an outstanding culture. The results showed that the school culture developed at Senior High School Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya is through educational programs and potential interests including archery, futsal, athletics, pencak silat, archery, music, hockey, dance and others.

It is obvious that the textbooks play a key role in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning. The good quality textbooks must meet the criteria or standard as a textbook. This paper aims to describe the accuracy of materials provided in the Bahasa Indonesia textbook for the first grade of Senior High School curriculum of 2013. This study adopted the content analysis method to analyze the data. The findings deriving from this study reveal that the accuracy of learning material provided in Bahasa Indonesia textbook for the first grade of Senior High School (Sekolah Menengah Atas) curriculum of 2013 published by Erlangga has adequately met the standard requirements of Board of National Education Standards (Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan, BSNP) for the accuracy of learning material of a textbook. However, this study found some weaknesses in the textbook as follows: (1) The textbook has not provided a ‘Competency Map’ containing principles used by students to achieve their learning goals and understand the learning materials provided in each chapter in order that the materials delivered can be well-structured. (2) The examples provided in the textbook are less relevant to the characteristics of diverse backgrounds and social statuses; contain the issues of ethnicity, religion, race, intergroup relations; and do not suit the needs.   Keywords: Curriculum of 2013, The accuracy of learning materials, Textbooks.

The lack of the students ' interest and attention toward the local wisdom values of the local culture is this research background. The phenomena are due to the absence of interactive media to strengthen character education based on local wisdom in school. The purpose of this research is to create an interactive media based on local wisdom values with the implementation of the iconic card to strengthen the local wisdom values of Malay culture which is useful to build students’ character education. The research used a qualitative descriptive method with social anthropolinguistics approach. The subject of this research was students of Nurul Hasanah Senior High School, Medan. The data were collected through field observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the iconic card might be used as a media to teach Malay wisdom values with the use of the Pak Belalang icon and Malay pantun. Pantun in this research has local wisdom values of Malay culture such as moral, ethical and norm values. Therefore, it can be concluded that the iconic card can be used as media in strengthening the local wisdom values of Malay culture that useful for students' character education.

Public sectors in Indonesia have begun to implement strategic planning since the decade of the 2000s, in line with the decentralization policy in education sector. This qualitative descriptive study examined Senior High School strategic planning documents and confirmed the documents through interviews. The study aims to identify models used and its formulation in annual school plan. The result shows that many private schools do not have strategic planning yet. The models used are issue-based models offered by the ministry of national education with variation of components of planning and employment of two main instruments: SWOT and gap analysis. All schools having strategic planning formulate them in the annual work plan, however, not all of school implement them consistently. This research is based on the problems on low economy of the societies that make the children help their parents to have working to fulfill their needs. Meanwhile, children still need to play and to study, it is not their responsible to join to handle the needs of their economy. The purposes of this research are to know the condition of education of the children workers in TPA Batu Bola Padangsidimpuan. Beside, the researcher also wanted to know the factors caused them doing work in that place, and the parents and government effort to protect the children. The research is qualitative descriptive. The informant are children workers (pick workers/pemulung), their parents, as the primer source and other pick workers, and the district government (lurah) as the secondary source. The instruments used are questionnaires, interview, observation, adn documentation. Based on the research, it is found that the children are 12 persons from Junior High School (40%), 9 persons from Junior High School (30%), 2 persons from Senior High School (6.67%), and out of school 7 persons (23.33%). The main factors that make them work is because of the pressure of the economic needs. The reasons are asked by their parents (80%), their wants (13.33%), and asked by their friends (6.67%).  The parents effort by giving advises to their children, and the government didnot have hard regulation and solution in order to make them always in that condition.

This research was based on the view that literature is basically a reflection of society. So in this study, researchers used the approach to the sociology of literature. This paper aimed to describe (1) short story becomes one of the literary works that are used as teaching material in schools, (2) the aspect of characrter education based on the collection of short stories entitled Mata Yang Enak Dipandang by Ahmad Tohari, and (3) social problems collection of short stories entitled Mata Yang Enak Dipandang. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive explaining the data that has been found in research. The main data sources in this study the quotations contained in the novel and the results of interviews with literary experts and learning experts. The results of this study is the main characters in this short story are varied and its can be utilized in the study of literary appreciation for Class XI in Senior high school semester with the standard literary discourse understanding competence through reading poetry and short stories in the aspects of reading and basic competence that is analyzing the intrinsic elements of a short story linkages with everyday life

This study aims to investigate students’ perception of using canva in writing class. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach and the research adapted questionnaire and also an interview to collect the data with ten students’ at Senior High School Bingin Teluk. The results of this study indicate that the use of Canva in the writing class has a positive impact on the participants. The positive impact is that Canva can increase students' motivation in writing classes, Canva can improve students' abilities in writing classes and Canva can also help students in writing classes. not only the positive impact that students have, but also obstacles in using Canva such as students having to have more time to design programs using Canva, and Canva has a premium account that we should pay for and there are some pictures which will appear and be provided without watermark.
