Nowadays, the broad Internet utilization and the advancement of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have greatly changed the way goods and services are bought and sold. As a consequence, even more online users prefer not only to shop online, but also purchase abroad taking advantage of Internet's limitless feature. Thus, technology's success has stimulated the process of cross-border e-shopping, allowing fast, less costly communication, as well as access to a wider variety of goods and services. The purpose of this consumer-oriented approach paper is to examine the perceptions of Greek Internet users concerning e-shops. In specific, it aims to reveal if there are differences on users' perceptions regarding Greek versus international e-shops, as even more individuals visit non-domestic online stores for their e-purchases. Hence, it provides tangible results to an under-explored area of online shopping and shed light on the difficulty of understanding important aspects of e-shopping behavior; presenting vital implications to both academia and practitioners.

The informational support of the society and its constituent parts from individuals to organizations and states leads to speeding up the decision-making process, and, consequently, to speeding up the process of movement of goods and services which are now being carried out via the Internet. There is no doubt that electronic commerce (e-commerce) will become one of the dominant types of trade and one of the promising components of the "new economy" in the foreseeable future. The popularity of e-commerce is growing rapidly under the influence of various factors and now we cannot imagine the modern world without online stores and all kinds of mobile applications that help to make purchases at all levels. It goes without saying that e-commerce (online trade) will develop most rapidly in the most technologically advanced countries, such as the states of Europe, North America, Japan and China, having their own characteristics depending on national, demographic and other factors. The Russian government that tried to modernize the country has been shown a high rate of development of information technology and e-commerce over the past 15 years, but just in the European part of the country to a greater extent; it is related to the demographic state of the country. But the expansion of industry in the East (construction of new roads, ports, factories, agro-industrial and military-industrial complexes) creates a favorable environment for business in general and for e-commerce, in particular. The investment attractiveness of the Far East region also plays an important role. The changing way of life of the population and the technological breakthrough create new information and technological nation-wide economic environment that develops in close connection with the world economic development trends experiencing their influence, and in turn influencing them.

In the modern world economy, an extremely important role is played by large international holding-type companies, often referred to as transnational corporations, financial, financial-industrial and other groups. The enterprises of such companies are located and operate in most countries of the world and have a significant impact on the main parameters of the functioning of a wide variety of markets for goods and services. With their economic potential, which often exceeds the corresponding potential of individual states, these companies are able to influence the development of market relations in both positive and negative directions. The so-called international cartel agreements, which generally mean mutual agreements between companies that often contradict the current legislation of countries, in order to establish a monopoly on certain goods (services) produced, control and capture markets, have a particularly acute negative impact on markets. In this regard, the article presents a brief history of the activities of international cartels and law enforcement practice to restrict their activities. The forms and key provisions of cartel collusion of enterprises of various industry orientations and spheres of activity are characterized. Some compensation schemes and forms of punishment for suppressing fraudulent actions of cartel participants are outlined. At the same time, there are shown situations when cartel agreements have a positive impact on the development of production, international trade and market relations. Despite strict antitrust laws, international cartels are created and operate in the markets, which should be taken into account by domestic companies when planning the results of work for them

The e-trading market is a relatively new phenomenon for the Russian economy. Due to the development of Internet technologies in the country and the growth in the number of Internet users, strong momentum has been formed for the active development of this sector of the economy. Despite the economic crisis in the country, this economic sector continues to develop actively, which allows concluding that it is potentially attractive. Aggravation of competition requires a business to search for new possibilities for attracting and retaining consumers. The authors consider the prospects of e-trading development, the concept of e-trading, and its difference from e-commerce. The paper presents the classification of e-trading business models in their relation to a management entity. The study identified the positive and negative factors of e-commerce development. The paper considers the prospective directions of e-trading market development in the interrelation with logistics. The study showed the dependence of e-trading development on the logistic processes, macroeconomic factors, and economic infrastructure as a whole. The interdisciplinarity of electronic trade, its development at the confluence of several sciences allows assuming the dependence of the processes of the good creation and realization on the possibilities of marketing, logistics, and the formats of goods delivery to an end consumer. Logistics allows overcoming many constraints, such as doubts about the reliability of a supplier, the risks of non-fulfillment of delivery deadlines, loss of a parcel, and the doubts about the compliance of the selected product with expectations (the inability to examine an ordered product visually). At the same time, the sphere of logistics and e-trading have a mutual positive impact on each other, since the active development of logistics is primarily caused by the e-trading development: the creation of new forms of goods delivery and consolidation of legal entities to ensure the delivery goods are influenced by the development of e-trading.

Informatization of the society and its constituent parts from individuals to organizations and states leads to an accelerated decision-making process, and, consequently, to the accelerated process of movement of goods and services, which are mostly realized via the Internet. There is no doubt that electronic commerce will become one of the dominant types of trade and one of the promising components of the "new economy" in the foreseeable future. The popularity of electronic commerce is growing rapidly under the influence of various factors and the modern world cannot be imagined without online stores, all kinds of mobile applications that help to make purchases on all levels. It goes without saying that e-commerce (online trade) will develop most rapidly in the most technologically advanced countries, such as the states of Europe, North America, Japan and China, having their own characteristics depending on national, demographic and other factors. The Russian state has taken a course to modernize the country and is experiencing growth of information technology, and, consequently, of electronic commerce over the past 15 years. However, this occurs mainly in the European part of the country. But the rise of industry in the East (the construction of new roads, ports, factories, agro-industrial and military-industrial complexes) creates a favorable environment for business in general and for electronic commerce in particular. The investment attractiveness of the Far East also plays an important role. The changing way of life of the population and technological breakthrough create a new information and technological nation-wide economic environment, developing in close connection with the world economic development trends, experiencing their influence, and in turn influencing them.

The aim of the article. In relation to the introduction of quarantine restrictions and an emergency situation to counteract COVID-19, there are potential prospects for the development of online retail in Ukraine. The aim of the article is to study the main problems, disadvantages and advantages of e-commerce and highlight further trends in retail development through the use of Internet resources. The results of the analysis. The development of e-commerce is based on attracting more and more users to the Internet, so it is not surprising that the part of turnover from e-commerce in GDP and the part of e-component in retail correlates with the Internet penetration rate, the part of the population aged 14 to 74 that are regular Internet users. Thus, in the leading countries of Western Europe, this figure is approaching 100%, while in Ukraine it is only about 63%. In the course of an investigation we identified the role and positive impact of domestic marketplaces on the development of E-commerce in various segments of the economy. Marketplaces, which are a kind of platform for uniting different sellers and buyers by interests, give impetus to the growth of positive dynamics of supply and demand, sales of goods and services, in fact, without leaving home - for consumers, and without spending significant rental costs offline stores - for sellers. The positive gradation of e-commerce growth has been affected by quarantine restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, the need for self-isolation and social distancing, temporary suspension of offline shops of non-food products and establishments in various fields of services (entertainment centers, catering establishments) on the basis of government requirements, resulted not only in increasing the popularity of existing marketplaces and social networks, but forced many retailers to start or develop existing online stores alongside traditional sale outlets. The advantages of e-commerce are determined: speed and availability of obtaining information about the product, its price, characteristics; efficiency and convenience of trade operations; reduction of operating costs; ensuring long-term communications with customers; development of Internet marketing through a possible variety of tools used; the possibility of using modern analytical tools to study the market and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities; increasing openness to consumers and increasing their loyalty. The main disadvantages of E-commerce are highlighted as insufficient security of consumer data and unreliable payment systems; quality of communication and service; instability of the national currency; imperfect legal framework; high delivery prices. All these problems have their basis and depend on many factors, first of all - on the level of sustainable development of the economy as a whole. Conclusions and direction for further research. Despite of the challenges of the time, the urgent needs of consumers in goods and services, e-commerce currently has a positive development trend and considerable prospects for further expansion of the market. The development of e-commerce should take place with the simultaneous simplification and regulation of ways to consolidate legal relations of contractors, methods and models of promotion of goods and services over the Internet, which clearly requires additional research. Key words: E-commerce, online retail, internet economy, marketplace, COVID-19.

This article seeks to interrogate the advantages and disadvantages of beneficiation law for Botswana’s mining industry and its implications for foreign investment protection. Furthermore, it argues that the enactment of beneficiation law could stimulate economic growth and development in Botswana. On a proper analysis of the potential of beneficiation law it seems plain that it may facilitate the integration, of among others, the cutting and polishing segments through the backward and forward linkages in the entire diamond value chain to move Botswana diamond industry a step further as a new and emerging jewellery manufacturing and retail center in order to derive maximum returns from the rough diamond production. Quite clearly, cutting and polishing of diamonds in Botswana is bound to promote employment which in turn will promote demand for goods and services that would have a positive impact on economic growth in Botswana.  The paper concludes that on a balance, the opportunities accruable from the enactment of this law far outweigh the downsides and will not in any way scare investors away as some have perceived it.

The article is meant to analyze current problems and prospects for the development of effective tax policy as part of digital transformation of Russian economy. Introduction of a digital tax and the consequences of the digital tax reforms in the EU, the USA and OECD countries are highlighted. The necessity of qualitative transformation of the tax system of the Russian Federation in response to modern challenges is substantiated, taking into account the changes of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation adopted at the end of July 2020. The authors suggested their own concept of a digital tax and the prospects for its adoption in Russia, and consider it inappropriate to impose taxes on Internet users who do not use the Internet for business. Today, the main focus should be made on creating and testing effective technologies that allow on-line monitoring the tax basis of digital economy entities, taking into account the cross-border movement or use of digital products (goods and services). In addition, it would be extremely important to provide for a potential tax exemption for part of the profits of international ICT companies that are received on the territory of the Russian Federation and reinvested in joint with Russian companies projects in the high-tech for civil purposes area.
