Khashchenko), the scale of economic status (A.L. Zhuravlev and A.B. Kupreychenko). It is shown that the relationship of income with envy is limited to several areas — health, recreation, material wealth, professional success (negative). The lack of financial resources and the severity of negative emotional States in connection with financial and material problems are associated with envy of a large number of objects of possession of Others. The study on the signs of socio-economic constitutionalism addresses only certain aspects of this broad issue. The article says that the Constitution of the Russian Federation lays down the potential of a socially oriented economy, examines the relationship of the social and economic foundations of the constitutional system with the foundations of the socio-economic status of the individual and the problems of the country's economic development. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that the significance of constitutional values in the context of socioeconomic constitutionalism during the economic crisis is indicated, a correlation is established between the effective development of a socially-oriented economy and the implementation of constitutional norms that enshrine the principles and guarantees of socio-economic rights as basic guidelines, not fully implemented. The scientific result of the study was the proposal of the need to develop and implement a state standard of social well-being. In connection with the use of such a standard, law enforcement practice may in the future contribute to positive shifts in Russian socio-economic constitutionalism in the context of the formation of answers to the challenges of globalization.

The article examines the impact of the social transfers on well-being distribu-tion in Poland in 2010 and 2014. The main purpose is to assess the relationship between the distribution of benefits and of well-being, the impact of benefits on social indicators (i.e. the incidence and intensity of monetary and multidimensional poverty) as well as the influence of benefits on the behaviour of beneficiaries. The individual well-being is measured by means of equivalent income as well as by multidimensional indicator, including also consumption, dwelling quality, household appliances and subjective evaluations of the economic position. The study is based on data for 2010 and 2014 from the household budget survey of Statistics Poland. The comparison of the distribution of transfers and well-being indicates that the benefits are definitely pro-poor, irrespectively to the method of comparison and well-being measure. In 2014, as compared to 2010, higher reduction of poverty due to the transfers took place, in spite of the reduced number of recipients. However, the estimation of the net effect of the benefits including behavioural responses suggests strong demotivation effect.

This article discusses the basic concepts of Berdyaev’s philosophy, traces the relationship of his philosophical view and political convictions. This relationship is revealed through the concept of personality, which is the central concept of Berdyaev’s philosophy. Through the attitude to the personality, we can reveal the attitude of N. A. Berdyaev to the institution of the state, understand the social preferences of the Russian philosopher, who has come a long way from the representative of Russian Marxism to Russian religious philosophy. Having understood his ideas about the ideal structure of society, we can understand the attitude of N. A. Berdyaev to the Soviet state. The article distinguishes between two different types of relationships: the individual and society - collectivism and communitarianism. Berdyaev’s view is shown in the origins of Russian communism, which, in the opinion of the philosopher, are found not only in Western European philosophy, but also in the historical mentality of Russian people.

Self-esteem is central to personal education. The social environment directly affects the formation of self-esteem. While functioning, it affects human behavior, self-regulation and is influenced by the values of the individual. Self-esteem is a complex education that includes both intellectual and emotional components. Many experts believe that self-esteem is not only a person's assessment of himself, but also his place among the people around him. Accordingly, it affects the relationship of a person with others, the effectiveness of his activities and the further development of the personality.

In the early months of 1920 a group of leading Egyptians founded Bank Misr. Destined to be the major financial arm of an emerging Egyptian bourgeoisie and the hub of a far-flung industrial and commercial empire, Bank Misr was established amidst the revolutionary turmoil of Egypt in 1919 and 1920. It reflected the nationalist and antiforeign sentiments of these troubled years. Its architect, Tal'at Harb, epitomized many of these characteristics. An ardent Muslim and a defender of Arab-Islamic civilization against its Western and Eastern detractors, he was a dedicated nationalist and a critic of rapacious and exploitative European capitalism. Bank Misr was founded as a supremely Egyptian institution and an expression of nationalist aspirations. Its founders hoped that the Bank might facilitate the emergence of an independent Egyptian bourgeoisie. They also wanted to use its resources to establish new commercial, industrial, and financial companies separate from European capital and working exclusively for the economic well-being of Egypt. But many questions immediately emerged. Could an institution founded in the furor of the revolution and headed by an inexperienced staff even survive, let alone spearhead, far-reaching industrial and commercial changes in the Egyptian economy? What would be its relations with foreigners and especially foreign capital? What role would foreign experts play in the life of the Bank? The purpose of this essay is to investigate how the Bank dealt with these problems by looking at the evolving relationship of the Bank with foreign capital. Put simply it can be said that as the Bank evolved and matured, it began to modify many of its original nationalist, populist, and antiforeign sentiments. It was forced to form alliances with the same groups it had so vigorously denounced at its birt. A close observation of the relationship between Bank Misr and foreign capital should cast light on the effort to create an autonomous Egyptian bourgeoisie. It will show the problems inherent in this vision and the compromises that had to be made as difficulties arose. It will also demonstrate the power of European capitalism in Egypt and its capacity to come to terms with even the most vigorous nationalist organizations.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had global effects on all industries and on people around the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has had repercussions both politically and economically, as well as on society and the individual, i.e., on the human psyche. Although the effects on the human psyche have been highlighted in research, the well-being of the individual in correlation with social perception have not been addressed in this context but in different situations. The review of the relevant literature has also identified a knowledge gap concerning online vs. face-to-face learning, from the perspective of psychological, pedagogical and managerial factors. The present study aims to address the relationship of well-being—social perception—academic performance during the COVID-19 pandemic on a group of students from the Faculty of Engineering in Sibiu, Romania. Three types of instruments were used to evaluate the studied characteristics: the Warwick Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (WEMWBS), the SKS method for generating feedback and the grid for assessing knowledge. The results showed the increase of the three parameters studied, after quarantine. The conclusions of the research are that, despite the greater variation in mood, caused by stress, anxiety and tension, the well-being of the subjects increased and the positive feedback provided increased significantly. The results lead to the formation of a positive self-image of students, which also has an impact on learning outcomes.

Recent controversies in Canadian librarianship—the Toronto Public Library room rental to a "gender-critical feminist" group and the institution of “airport-style” security at the Winnipeg Public Library—have exposed divisions within the profession. This article attempts to untangle the relationship of Canadian libraries to state power and explores hegemonic leadership within the library profession. It also investigates the part played by a politics of recognition, both in the reinforcement of professional discipline and in the maintenance of the social, political, and economic status quo regarding the rights and democratic participation of marginalized communities. The paper begins with a brief account of recent controversies, looks at intellectual freedom, and then analyzes the ways in which politics of recognition play out in libraries and settler-colonial societies. Based on Taylor’s theory of recognition and its critique by Coulthard and Fraser, this article argues that, within the context of a needed refoundation of social relations, recognition must be combined with real redistribution of rights and participation.

Introduction. The current socio-economic situation is characterized by complexity, inconsistency, instability, which negatively affects the psycho-emotional state of citizens, reduces their level of satisfaction with life. To solve the problem of maintaining the internal balance of the individual, more and more psychological scientists are paying close attention to the study of well-being and identifying factors for its optimization. Scientists have found numerous proofs of the relationship between well-being and psychological qualities of the individual, while the question of the relationship with intellectual characteristics belongs to the category of little-studied. This topic is particularly relevant for the student audience, which is the professional potential of modern society. The aim of the study is to identify the relationship between emotional and personal well-being and intelligence of students. Methods. The methodology of self-assessment of emotional and personal well-being (SEPWB) and the cultural-free intelligence test of R. Kettell (CFIT) were used as research tools. Results of the study. The study allowed us to identify 4 typological groups with a pronounced positive, weak positive, weak negative and pronounced negative self-assessment of emotional and personal well-being. The results of the distribution of the sample of students into the selected groups showed that 62.5% of students positively assess their emotional and personal well-being. At the same time, students with intermediate types (weak positive and weak negative) have the highest values on the intelligence test. Correlation analysis of the parameters of the SEPWB method and the CFIT method showed the specificity of correlation structures in groups with different types of emotional and personal well-being, which is proof of the ambiguity, non-linearity of the relationship between emotional and personal well-being and intelligence. Conclusion. The novelty of the study is to establish the relationship between the expression of intelligence and the level of emotional and personal well-being. The results obtained can be used by university teachers, as well as psychologists of enterprises involved in the organization of students ' industrial practice.
