Background: As part of student research at St. Petersburg architectural-construction University continues to develop alternative proposals for the creation of a circumferential highway at the boundaries of communication areas of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. The article presents the results of research works on optimization of routing highways, according to the architectural layout of buildings, transport hubs, to study the effects the pre-tension of the puffs and the guys at the reduction of efforts and deformations of the main elements of the highway, the calculations of the designs of the most high and loaded sea area. The construction of the 8-high-speed transport highway was upgraded due to restrictions related to the reconstruction of Levashovo and Pulkovo airports, the transfer of the capital of the Leningrad region to Gatchina, and linking to the promising metro stations Strelna, Yanino and Kudrovo. The upgraded scheme of the highway is proposed in the form of an open polygon with transport and interchange nodes in the corners and is based on load-bearing trestle structures of arched-cable design that provide the necessary functionality, reliability and safety. Aim: development of a district high-speed transport system on the borders of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, based on the widespread use of electric transport, with passenger traffic comparable to the metro line. Materials and Methods: trestle structures are designed for combinations of operating loads, forces and impacts, including consideration of dynamic aspects and non-linearity, using the "SCAD Office" software package. Results: based on the results of variant design, an arch-cable-stayed version with spans of 180 m and 360 m was adopted as a supporting structure according to the metal consumption criterion, which became the basic one for building a highway of overpass design. From an approximate calculation, it follows that the cost of building a highway on land plots (two-track scheme) compared to the construction of the metro, it is expected to be 5-6 times lower, and on the sea sections 3-4 times lower due to high pylons and deep pile foundations. Conclusion: the estimated volume of passenger traffic per day for the two-track high-speed and two-track high-speed highways will be 208 thousand passengers, and 76 million passengers per year, which is quite comparable to this indicator for the metro line.

As part of student research at the St. Petersburg University of architecture and construction, alternative proposals are being developed for the creation of a circumferential high-speed highway with a total length of 147.2 km. Тhe scheme is proposed in the form of a polygon with HUB in the nodes and consists of three main parts: 1 above-ground (62.6 km), 2 above-water (29.6 km) and 3 surface-underground (55.0 km). The main tracks are located in a four-tube steel beam, each tube of which is organized by the technology of vacuum tube transport with a pressure of 10% of the normal for high-speed passenger trains on a magnetic levitation cushion using a linear traction motor (Maglev system). The rail base of the 1520 mm gauge is located along the entire length of the track, both in parking lots, acceleration and braking zones, and on the main high-speed sections for movement with a maximum speed of 500 km per hour. The main direction of research was the development of load-bearing structures that provide the necessary functionality, reliability and safety of structures. In order to reduce the noise impact on the metropolis, overcome numerous artificial and natural obstacles, improve anti-terrorist protection, the main level of the rail track for the above-ground and above-water structures was adopted at +88.00 in the Baltic elevation system. Calculations of variants with determination of internal forces in elements and movements of nodes with use of the program complex SCAD Office 21.1are executed, when accounting for the full range of loads taking into account dynamic effects and non-linearity. The selection of cross-sections of elements according to the method of limit states according to the current norms is carried out. The advantage of the arch-cable-stayed variant with a span of 360 m in strength, stability, stiffness and vertical size (height of supports) is shown. The continuation of research and design work on this topic should lead to the emergence of a district high-speed transport system at the borders of communication between St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region with passenger traffic, quite comparable to the metro line. Aim: To develop a district high-speed transport system at the borders of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region with passenger traffic comparable to the metro line. Materials and Methods: Using the software package "SCAD Office 21.1", the trestle structures are calculated for the combination of operating loads, forces and influences, including the consideration of dynamic aspects and nonlinearity, as well as the selection of cross-sections of elements by the method of limit states. To determine the optimal trestle structures of high-speed highways, namely high-rise and long-length metal structures supporting the overpass beam, calculations with the selection of cross sections of four variants of cable-stayed systems (arch-cable-stayed; cable-stayed rod with inclined cables and steel lattice pylons; the same, steel pipe-concrete pylons; cable-stayed rod system with suspensions according to the patent US5950543 (A). Results: the results of the trial design adopted arch-cable option with a span of 360 m according to the criterion of metal consumption, the consumption of steel amounted to 20.9 tons per 1 m length of highway. Conclusion: the estimated volume of passenger traffic per day for the four-track high-speed line will be 280 thousand passengers, and 102 million passengers per year, which is quite comparable to this figure for the metro line.

Background: The analysis carried out and the forecasted development prospects of the Vsevolozhsk municipal district show the high socio-economic importance of this territory for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. This territory is intensively developing, new residential zones are being formed on it, enterprises are opening, new jobs are being created, and recreational zones are being organized. Active housing construction in the municipalities "City of Vsevolozhsk" and "Zanevskoye rural settlement" is accompanied by a significant increase in the population. According to the forecast, in 2041 the population of the municipal formation "City of Vsevolozhsk" will exceed 100 thousand people, of the "Zanevsky rural settlement" - 180 thousand people. The population of the municipalities of St. Petersburg included in the gravitational zone of the maglev transport line in the direction "Vsevolozhsk - St. Petersburg", in 2041 will increase by 1.4 times compared to 2015, amounting to 520 thousand people. The listed tendencies indicate that in the future the intensity of traffic flows will grow and the demand for the use of maglev passenger transport will increase. Aim: Putting into operation lines of magneto-transport vehicles in places of concentration of growing passenger flows, which will help to reduce travel time, meet freight requirements, improve the quality and increase travel safety when driving along dedicated lanes. Method: We have described the existing transport service system in Vsevolozhsk. The survey of passenger traffic on bus routes operating between Vsevolozhsk and St. Petersburg was carried out by two methods during the periods of morning and evening peaks, as well as during the inter-peak period: visual method and tabular method. The article gives a characteristic of the uneven distribution of passenger traffic at the Ladozhskaya metro station and the socio-economic characteristics of the pedestrian accessibility zone of stopping points, identifies the maximum passenger traffic and the need for rolling stock. Results: As the basis for the development of the transport system of urban agglomerations, it is proposed to use magnetolithic transport. For its operation, a special high-speed infrastructure and a new rolling stock are needed. In other words, there is a need for the development and economic evaluation of projects for the construction and operation of magnetolithic transport lines in the formation and implementation of transport strategies of modern urban agglomerations.

The article analyses the volume of passenger traffic from 1990 to 2019 for land, water and air transport. From the materials obtained and the experience of the networks of European and world high-speed railways, goals are set. High-speed lines designed exclusively for passenger traffic. This moment plays an important role in reducing the cost of construction, increasing the market and economic profitability. According to the data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, it is possible to calculate the passenger flow based on the known parameters for 2020–2032 in the direction of Kiev–Lviv. The design of high-speed lines should meet general requirements aimed at satisfying the basic characteristics of a high-speed railway system, which works in conjunction with the European High-Speed Railway network. The compatibility of the parameters of high-speed lines with the parameters of traditional lines is part of the operational requirements for the gradual introduction of a network of high-speed railways. Possible scenarios to achieve the required compatibility should cover all subsystems.

Passenger transport is a basis in the transport system of any country. The task of transport is to provide an opportunity for every person to reach any point of our planet, not only safely, comfortably and quickly, but with little expenses. Aim: the arm of this study is to evaluate dynamics and share of transport expenses in population of the Russian Federation, and to study interrelation between figure of transport expenses of population and its transport mobility, and passenger transport fares. Methods: to achieve the set aim, such common scientific methods as observation, analysis, generalization, and analogy were used. Results: it is noted that transport expenses of the population increase at a slower pace than consumer spending. When considering the factors affecting the transportation costs of the population, it was determined that against the background of decreasing volumes of passenger traffic there is an increase in transportation tariffs. When comparing the indices of passenger tariffs and the consumer price index, a rapid increase in the cost of passenger traffic compared to prices for consumer goods was noted, which makes transport services less accessible to the public. Conclusion: The accelerating pace of life and economic realities today pose to transport companies certain tasks to ensure high speeds. High-speed ground transportation is coming to the fore, one of the types of which is a magnetic-vehicle transport, which, in addition to high speed, has certain advantages, such as safety, comfort, energy efficiency and high throughput. The development of new high-speed modes of transport, including a magnetic-casting, will ensure a high level of transport mobility and, accordingly, the country's economic development.

In order to reduce the cost of new intercity passenger rail corridors, the operation of higher speed passenger networks on existing freight corridors is being examined and considered. The issues to be addressed in such operations include the one-time upgrade of the track to allow for this higher speed passenger traffic and the ongoing maintenance costs necessary to maintain this track for the mixed higher speed passenger and freight operations. This latter issue is usually addressed in the access agreements for the corridor, and must include how these costs are to be shared. A recent US Federal Railroad Administration study specifically addressed the issue of “steady state” maintenance costs for mixed use corridors consisting on this class of higher speed passenger operations and concurrent freight operations, to include heavy axle load freight operations. The result of that study was a “planner’s handbook” for estimating these track maintenance costs, as part of the overall analysis of the feasibility and cost of operating higher speed passenger traffic on existing freight corridors. This paper presents the methodology used in the development of the methodology for estimating maintenance costs for mixed higher speed passenger and freight rail corridors (Classes 4, 5 and 6). Specifically, it addresses the estimation of these “steady state” infrastructure maintenance costs for a range of operating scenarios with different combination of passenger and freight traffic densities and operating speeds. These infrastructure costs include track, bridge and building (B&B), and communications and signal (C&S) costs. The resulting costs are presented as a set of cost matrices both in terms of a total cost per track mile and in terms of cost per passenger train mile. The cost matrices cover a range of combinations of traffic and track configuration, with minimum and maximum costs developed for each cell in the cost matrices. The minimum costs are based on maintenance standards geared to typical Class I freight railroad practice, such as where passenger trains currently operate on a freight railroad right of way, while the maximum costs reflect maintenance practices on existing high speed railroad track. This paper provides a description of the analytic models used to generate the costs, and the process by which those models were calibrated to actual cost data to develop costs for a wide range of traffic and track combinations. Sample application of the methodology to include several proposed mixed use corridors is also presented.

Indosat will continue to develop and expand network coverage and a larger investment that the company will achieve excellence in the field of integrated telecommunications services.    Ranking by region of the IP Providers can be seen by grouping IP Providers, and management over IP Providers prefer to choose providers based on where it orginates as an example for the region of the U.S if it will be preferred providers that come from U.S. providers.With the commencement of the internet network optimization start early in 2008 with the selection of the appropriate IP Upstream Provider criteria, it is up to date according to data obtained from Indosat, seen any significant changes to the cost of purchasing capacity of the IP Upstream.    Based on the data obtained that until Q3 or September 2008, the number of IP Upstream Providers that previously there were 20 to 10 IP Upstream Provider, IP Transit Price total decrease of 11% to the price of IP Transit Price / Mbps there is a decrease of 78%, while from the capacity bandwith an increase of 301% capacity from 2008.

Many studies have proved the service life of cutter can be prolonged by electrolytic strengthening. Based on the theory of electrolytic strengthening technology, this paper introduced and developed prototype equipment for strengthening cutting edge of rotary cutter and put forward a calculation method of total electric quantity consumption during the electrolysis suitable for microcontroller. The M8 high-speed steel tap is taken as a strengthening example. After finished the strengthening process that it clearly see the results of the surface of tap was obviously polished by observing the micrograph. This equipment improves the reliability of electrolytic strengthening and the cost is relatively cheap.

One of the most restrictive conditions in ground transportation at high speeds is aerodynamic drag. This is even more problematic when running inside a tunnel, where compressible phenomena such as wave propagation, shock waves, or flow blocking can happen. Considering Evacuated-Tube Trains (ETTs) or hyperloops, these effects appear during the whole route, as they always operate in a closed environment. Then, one of the concerns is the size of the tunnel, as it directly affects the cost of the infrastructure. When the tube size decreases with a constant section of the vehicle, the power consumption increases exponentially, as the Kantrowitz limit is surpassed. This can be mitigated when adding a compressor to the vehicle as a means of propulsion. The turbomachinery increases the pressure of part of the air faced by the vehicle, thus delaying the critical conditions on surrounding flow. With tunnels using a blockage ratio of 0.5 or higher, the reported reduction in the power consumption is 70%. Additionally, the induced pressure in front of the capsule became a negligible effect. The analysis of the flow shows that the compressor can remove the shock waves downstream and thus allows operation above the Kantrowitz limit. Actually, for a vehicle speed of 700 km/h, the case without a compressor reaches critical conditions at a blockage ratio of 0.18, which is a tunnel even smaller than those used for High-Speed Rails (0.23). When aerodynamic propulsion is used, sonic Mach numbers are reached above a blockage ratio of 0.5. A direct effect is that cases with turbomachinery can operate in tunnels with blockage ratios even 2.8 times higher than the non-compressor cases, enabling a considerable reduction in the size of the tunnel without affecting the performance. This work, after conducting bibliographic research, presents the geometry, mesh, and setup. Later, results for the flow without compressor are shown. Finally, it is discussed how the addition of the compressor improves the flow behavior and power consumption of the case.
