Abstract: This study aims to describe the implementation of Student Teams - Achievement Divisions (STAD) to improve the reading and writing skills of students in grade VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Falah Singosari and describe the improvement in students' reading and writing abilities with the Student Teams - Achievment Divisions (STAD) method. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out with several cycles. Each cycle is carried out in two meetings consisting of 4 stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Data analysis of the application of this method by comparing the scores obtained by students in cycle 1 and cycle 2. Indicators of increasing students' reading ability can be seen in the increase in the average value of students in the first cycle with enough category with a percentage of completeness 57.89%, while in the second cycle is sufficient with a percentage of completeness 63.15%. Indicators of increasing students' writing ability can be seen in the increase in the average value of students in the first cycle with a good category with a percentage of completeness of 52.63%, while in the second cycle is good with a percentage of completeness of 68.42%.المستخلص: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف تنفيذ "Student Teams – Achievment Divisions" (STAD) لتحسين مهارات القراءة والكتابة لدى طلاب الصف السابع. تستخدم هذه الدراسة منهجًا نوعيًا لنوع بحث الفصل الإجرئي الذي يتم تنفيذه مع عدة دورات. يتم تنفيذ كل دورة في اجتماعين يتكونان من 4 مراحل ، هما (1) التخطيط ، (2) التنفيذ ، (3) الملاحظة ، (4) التفكير. 1 أظهرت النتائج أن تطبيق طريقة "Student Teams – Achievment Divisions" (STAD) يمكن أن يحسن قدرات الطلاب على القراءة والكتابة. يمكن ملاحظة مؤشرات زيادة قدرة الطلاب على القراءة في الزيادة في متوسط قيمة الطلاب في الدورة الأولى مع فئة كافية مع نسبة اكتمال بنسبة 57.89 ٪ ، بينما في الدورة الثانية كافية مع نسبة اكتمال 63.15 ٪. يمكن ملاحظة مؤشرات زيادة قدرة الطلاب على الكتابة في الزيادة في متوسط قيمة الطلاب في الدورة الأولى مع فئة جيدة بنسبة اكتمال بلغت 52.63 ٪ ، بينما في الدورة الثانية جيدة مع نسبة اكتمال 68.42 ٪.الكلمة الرئيسية: طريقة "Student Teams – Achievment Divisions" (STAD)، مهارة القراءة، مهارة الكتابة

Creativity is the ability to think about things in new and unusual ways and give birth to something unique, or create something original. Plasticine is a material that is made of flexible and can be shaped as desired. This study aims to increase early childhood creativity through playing plasticine. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, each stage, namely Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation, field notes. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. Subjects in this study were group B with a total of 14 children consisting of 9 boys and 5 girls. The results showed that the creativity of children increased, namely from the pre-cycle the number of undeveloped children decreased from 12 children to 0 (85.7%) in cycles I and II, then children who began to develop from pre-cycle 2 children (14 , 3%) to 9 children (64.3%) in cycle I and to 0 in cycle II. Children who developed as expected from pre-cycle from none to 5 children (35.7%) in cycle I and 3 children (21.4%) in cycle 2. Children who developed very well in pre-cycle and cycle I did not there were 11 children (78.65%). These results indicate that playing plasticine can increase the creativity of early childhood in RA Ibnu Sina, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency.

The purpose of this study was to determine students' poetry writing skills before the application of acrostic techniques, the process of applying acrostic techniques in each cycles, and the increase produced after applying the acrostic technique. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), consisting of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that 1) the students' poetry writing skills before applying the acrostic technique obtained an average score of 46.87. 2) The application of acrostic techniques goes well according to the stages. The activity of teachers and students has increased dramatically, in the first cycle the teacher's activity gained a percentage of 64.15%, in the second cycle teacher activity increased to 89.1%. Student learning activities in the first cycle reached 61.65%, in cycle II it increased by 87.5%. 3) Students' poetry writing skills after applying acrostic techniques have increased. In the first cycle, the average score of students was 69.45, and the percentage of learning completeness was 51.75%. In cycle II the average value of students skill increased sharply to 89.37, and the percentage was 91%. Thus, the CAR carried out has been completed with the expected goal of improving poetry writing skills in Indonesian Language Subjects.

The aims of this research are to know the ability to write in early childhood through drawing games. The research was conducted through action research in group B kindergarten SOS Desa Taruna. The study is conducted using action research and held from May to June the second semester. The procedures for this action research are following Kemmis and Taggart’s model consisting of four phases cycle which is (a) planning, (b) action, (c) observation, (d) reflection. Data analysis is carried using both quantitative and qualitative by the positive response of drawing games. In the 1st cycle, early childhood writing ability is…% and early childhood writing ability increasing…% in the 2nd cycle. The implication of the research finding, drawing games should be children learn writing ability with fun but can make children study writing, drawing games it should be an alternative to teach writing for the children.

The background of this research is the many lower class students who have not been able to read and write correctly, for this reason, researchers are trying to improve students' reading and writing skills through image media. This research is a classroom action research on grade 2 students of SDN 002 Benai conducted in January 2020 with a total of 20 students. The instruments used were observation sheets and students' reading and writing tests. The results of the study in the first cycle, the ability of students to get an average value of 67.5% with a good category, the second cycle has increased to 81% which is included in the excellent category. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the reading and writing ability of the second grade students of SDN 002 Benai can be improved through the media of images.

The purpose of this study is to improve the ability to read German through the scientific approach of students class XI IPA SMAN 14 Gowa. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA 3 which amounted to 35 students. This classroom action research consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, execution, observation, and reflection. Data analysis in this research using percentage technique. The results of this study showed that there is an increase in learning achievement of German reading ability through scientific approach of students.

The reading and writing ability among children is still low. The children do not know letters and words yet, so that the letter card game in reading and writing activities for children at imitating level is expected to improve student’s reading and writing ability. The subject of this classroom action research was class B students in Putragiri PKK Kindergarten of 2018/2019 academic year. The data collection techniques was observation to measure the scale of reading and writing ability among students. This study conducted in two cycles. Cycle I was held on January 2019, carrying out the national day theme in the form of props story books, worksheets, student magazines, pictures, etc. After cycle I, reflection was done to plan cycle II, which be held on August 2019 with the religious holidays theme and the sub-theme was Qurban and the Idhul Adha day. The results of the study describe that 1) the reading and writing ability among children before being given an action were in the substantial category that means began to develop, 2) the letter card games can improve children's reading and writing skills.

Abstract: The students 'reading ability is low, it certainly affects the students' writing ability. Implementation of the School Literacy Movement is a solution to students' low reading ability. This study aims to describe the pattern of Implementation of School Literacy Movement that took place in SMP Negeri 5 Malang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type that describes the School Literacy Movement in SMP Negeri 5 Malang. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the pattern of implementation of school literacy measures in SMP Negeri 5 Malang included: 1) The habituation phase was carried out by way of students bringing reading books from home or borrowing books to the library. At this stage a class reading corner was prepared, reading 15 minutes before learning began, and a literacy journal; 2) The Development and Learning Phase increases the school resources especially at the State Junior High School 5 Malang, namely the existence of a reading corner in each class, an increase in the number of books, a 30-minute reading club, and a product of the School Literacy Movement.Keywords: School Literacy Movement, Habituation Phase, Development Phase, LearningAbstrak: Kemampuan membaca peserta didik tergolong rendah pasti berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis peserta didik. Implementasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah menjadi solusi atas kemampuan membaca siswa yang rendah.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola Implementasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah yang berlangsung di SMP Negeri 5 Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif yang mendeksripsikan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah di SMP Negeri 5 Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola implementasi geakan literasi sekolah di SMP Negeri 5 Malang meliputi: 1) Tahap Pembiasaan dilaksanakan dengan cara peserta didik membawa buku bacaan dari rumah atau meminjam buku ke perpustakaan. Pada tahap ini sudah disiapkan pojok baca kelas, membaca 15 menit sebelum pembelajaran dimulai, dan jurnal literas; 2) Tahap Pengembangan dan Pembelajaran meningkatkan sumber daya sekolah khusnya di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 5 Malang yaitu adanya pojok baca di masing-masing kelas, penambahan jumlah buku, adanya club baca 30 menit, dan hasil produk Gerakan Literasi Sekolah.Kata Kunci: Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, Tahap Pembiasaan, Tahap Pengembangan,  Pembelajaran

<p>The aims of this research are to know about the use of flashcards to improve the English Young Learners’ writing skills. English has four skills to be learned; they are listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and writing skill is the most difficult skill to be taught and learnt. Flashcards are one of the ways to improve the learners’ skill, especially EYL writing skill. The participants of this research are English Young Learners (EYL) in of the English Course at Gading Serpong, Tangerang. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was used as the method of the research and the English Young Learners’ (EYL) story paper are used as the instruments of the research. The results of the research are: (1) Most learners were excited when they are asked to see the colorful flashcard; (2) Learners who have good writing skill could make the story by completing the missing words and answer the questions then arrange the answer sentences well and (3) Learners who are not really master in writing, got some difficulties not only in completing the missing words but also answering then arranging the answer sentences well.</p>

<p>Result of initial observation at SDN 18 Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman indicated that 1st grade students were afraid and shy to speak in front of class. It was caused the language learning only emphasized on reading and writing skills. Speaking skill was still not being a main focus. This is a classroom action research aimed to improve students’ speaking skill. Data were colected by using test and observation. In cycle I, percentage of students’ speaking skill mean score is 53,3%. In cycle II, percentage of students’ speaking skill mean score is 86%. Hence, learning with media of picture-series can improve students’ speaking skill. </p>

The purpose of this study was to improve the ability of class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 4 OKU through genius learning strategies and lecture methods. Research data collection techniques using observation, documentation and tests. The research data analysis technique used a descriptive writing test through direct learning and observation models to see student learning activity. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the ability to write anecdotes through genius learning strategies and lecture methods in class X IPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 OKU. In cycle 1, an average value of 66.68 was obtained, students who achieved completeness were 22 students or the percentage of completeness was 61.11%. In cycle 2 the average value is 69.28%. Students who achieved completeness were 29 students or the average persetanse completeness was 80.56%. Furthermore, in cycle 3 the average value is 76.81. Students who achieved completeness were 34 students or the percentage of student completeness was 94.44%.
