The study of emigration intentions of young students is extremely relevant and is due to the need to solve an important social problem – preservation of human capital within the country, concern for the well-being of young people as the most active and educated part of the population. The purpose of the study is to identify the representation of Smolensk students jf the motives of emigration among Russian young people. The study is exploratory in nature and is focused on finding the answer to the following question: what are the motives for emigration behavior of modern Russian youth? The analysis of students’ perceptions of emigration motives of their peers, on the one hand, allows us to assess the degree of comfort, safety and satisfaction of living environment in the country and, on the other hand, given the high probability of manifestation of the transfer and projection mechanism in answers, indirectly determine the dominant motives of potential emigration of students. The study was carried out on a sample (N = 255) of students from four Smolensk universities (aged 17 to 24 years old; 119 young men (47%) and 136 young women (53%) using the questionnaire designed by the authors. Methods of processing primary data – frequency and content analysis. As a result of a content analysis of students’ perceptions of the motives of the emigration behavior of Russian young people, 6 main groups of motives were identified, which are based on the following factors: economic, political, legal, environmental, subjective and vital. These motivators are analyzed from the position of belonging to the attractive, expellant and individual-personal motives of emigration. The results obtained will help to expand specialists’ understanding of psychological causes of young people’s emigration behavior and can be used in the process of providing psychological assistance and support to potential emigrants.

Abstract Background Angata, an intervention research project led by the regional instance of health education and promotion (Ireps) of Burgundy-Franche-Comté, aims to strengthening the autonomy and decision-making ability of vulnerable youth regarding their health. It is implemented in several facilities. The goal is to improve well-being and quality of life of young people benefiting from socio-educational measures by working with them and the professionals in their living environments. The objective of the study presented was to analyze the factors promoting health empowerment of young people, prior to this intervention, in the Employment Integration Facility (Epide) of Belfort. Methods Interviews were conducted with 8 young people and 13 professionals to explore their representations regarding well-being, nutritional health (eating habits, nutrition, physical activity), self-esteem and physical appearance. The determinants of health, lifestyles and organization in the living environment as well as the biographical pathways of young people were also collected. Results The Epide, structured on a military model, welcomes young people out-of-school, without qualifications and with complex life courses. The Epide can be seen as a functional community whose whole effort is dedicated to the goal of young volunteers leaving for a job or professional training. The support provided by educators (professional social or former military) is focused on building skills and restoration of self-esteem. Critical consciousness develops over time spent within the structure. The factors promoting empowerment within this strict framework are numerous, but young people’s participation in the decisions taken within the structure remains at the solicitation stage. Conclusions The framework provided at the Epide allows an environment conducive to the process of individual empowerment. These leverage can be mobilized to reinforce health empowerment of youth during the Angata project. Key messages An empowering educational environment, even strict, can foster the health empowerment of young people subject to vulnerabilities. The allowed level of participation remains an important factor to consider in order to fully promote health empowerment of young people.

In the planning of the urban green infrastructure it is important how the decision makers and residents value their living environment. While the coverage of Green Infrastructure in the case of Jeddah appears negligible, the paper attempts to find out its causal factor. We primarily consider (1) what are the challenges of resident's well-being in Jeddah which Green Infrastructure can solve. (2) What are the constraints; obstructing the sustainable expansion and development of green infrastructure in Jeddah and (3) what are the policy interventions required as well as crucial issues to be considered while planning of green infrastructure in Jeddah. Primary data through satellite imagery and secondary data from extensive literature search incorporating internal and external linkages on the problems; could generate further discussion on the way by which green infrastructure planning could be successfully loomed.

Resumen. ¿Nos comunicamos de la misma manera cuando estamos físicamente presen­tes o cuando lo hacemos mediados por la tecnología? ¿Cómo nos relacionamos con las imágenes sobre nosotros y cómo nos afecta su publicación?El cuerpo como escenario y como contenido de la comunicación es el eje alrededor del cual gira este nuevo análisis comparado de los valores identificados en una investigación ex­ploratoria, en la que se ha buscado realizar una aproximación a los cambios que están teniendo lugar en las comunicaciones de los jóvenes a partir de sus propios testimonios. El análisis de contenido realizado utiliza las categorías axiológicas del modelo Hall-Tonna. Se ha procedido agrupando las respuestas de chicos/chicas, dadas a dos preguntas formuladas a estudiantes de edades comprendidas entre los 17 y los 24 años. En esta ocasión, la atención se ha centrado en analizar las experiencias relatadas desde la perspectiva de género.Las diferencias reseñables se encuentran en las respuestas a la segunda pregunta. En ellas destaca el valor de la imagen. En las chicas hay una percepción de la imagen del cuer­po como capital en lo relativo tanto a la competencia personal (presente) como profesional (futura), percepción que en ellos está ausente. En ambos casos, la segunda pregunta presenta perfiles de valores más discontinuos que en la primera, lo que indica la mayor fragilidad ex­perimentada ante la imagen del cuerpo en el medio tecnológico.Palabras clave: valores, género, comunicaciones, juventud, cuerpo, análisis de contenido.Abstract. Do we communicate in the same way when we are physically present and when we do it through technology? How do we relate to the images about us and how do their publication affect us?The body as a setting and as the content of communication is the thematic focus of this new comparative analysis, which tackles the values identified in an exploratory research. In this study, it has been attempted to make an approximation to the changes that are taking place in the communications among young people, based on their own testimonies.The content analysis carried out uses the axiological categories of the Hall-Tonna model. It has been proceeded by grouping the responses, given by young students aged between 17 and 24 years, of boys, on the one hand, and girls, on the other. The attention has focused on analysing the experiences from a gender perspective.The remarkable differences are found in the second question’s answers. In the answers provided by girls stand out the value of the image, however they have a perception of the body as of paramount importance regarding both personal (present) and professional (future) competence, meanwhile this is not present in boy’s answers. In both cases, the second ques­tion presents profiles of more discontinuous values than in the first one, which indicates the greater fragility experienced to the image of the body in the technological medium.Keywords: values, gender, communication, young people, body, content of analysis.

Social networks have become areas of social interaction among young people where they create a profile to relate with others. The way this population uses social networks has an impact on their socialization as well as the emotional and affective aspects of their development. The purpose of this investigation was to analyze how Facebook is used by young people to communicate among themselves and the experiences they gain from it. On the one hand, while teenagers claim to know the risks, they admit to accepting strangers as friends and to sharing large amounts of true data about their private lives. For this reason, it is necessary to understand the media and digital phenomenon that the youth are living through. Although they are legally prohibited from using Facebook until they are 13, the number of underage users of this social network is growing, without any restraint from parents or schools. This investigation compares the use of Facebook by youth in Colombia and Spain by using the content analysis and interview techniques. In Colombia 100 Facebook profiles were analyzed and 20 interviews carried out with students between 12- and 15-years-old attending the Institución Educativa Distrital Técnico Internacional school in Bogotá. In Spain, 100 Facebook profiles were analyzed and 20 interviews held with students of the same age group attending various secondary schools in Andalusia. Las redes sociales se han convertido en ámbitos de interacción social entre los jóvenes, que crean un perfil para relacionarse con los demás. La exposición pública en el caso de los adolescentes puede generar problemas sobre aspectos sociales, emotivos y afectivos. Esta investigación analiza cómo se usa Facebook por parte de los jóvenes y qué experiencia obtienen de ello. Aunque dicen conocer los riesgos, admiten que aceptan a desconocidos como amigos y ofrecen datos reales sobre su vida. Ante esta situación, se hace más evidente la necesidad de la alfabetización mediática y digital de estos jóvenes que, aunque no deberían estar en Facebook hasta los 13 años, cuentan con un perfil de manera mayoritaria. Para ello se ha utilizado una metodología basada en el análisis de contenido y las entrevistas en profundidad. Se trata de un estudio comparativo entre Colombia y España. En Colombia se han realizado 100 análisis de perfiles y 20 entrevistas en profundidad. La muestra ha sido de adolescentes de 12 a 15 años, de la Institución Educativa Distrital Técnico Internacional de Bogotá. En España se han analizado 100 perfiles y se han realizado 20 entrevistas a chicos de 12 a 15 años, de Institutos (IES) de Andalucía.

AbstractVertical integration might be relevant to improve the well-being of farmers particularly when thinking of how economic innovation ensures high utilization of resource and promote economic prosperity in Nigeria. However, the relationship of such proposition is yet to receive empirical attention in the fish hub. This study uncovers the effect of the vertical integration on the multi-dimensional well-being of fish producers in Lagos State fish hub. The study was examined using primary data collected from 103 integrated and 60 non-integrated respondents. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Gross National Wellness (GNW) Index and Average Treatment Effect (ATE). The result of the GNW Index shows that both the integrated and non-integrated farmers ranked the indicators of multidimensional wellness in the same order. They were satisfied with their social relations (8.70); physical and health status (7.91); mental and emotional status (7.41); work and income status (5.87) as well as their economic and retirement status (5.68). However, they were dissatisfied with the political and government condition (4.73) as well as their living environment (3.77). The ATE result shows that the indicators such as the political and government intervention; mental and emotional; work and income were the components of multidimensional wellbeing that was improved by vertical integration decision of the farmers in the fish hub. However, social relations; physical and health; living environment wellbeing dimensions were not affected by the vertical integration decision of the respondents. It is therefore recommended that fish farmers should integrate themselves so as to enjoy government interventions, better income status and better emotional wellness all of which will improve their wellbeing.

AbstractThe paper focuses on the question of how young people in the post-Soviet country of Kyrgyzstan deal with the structural and cultural demands of a society characterized by strong obligations of intergenerational solidarity and the normative pattern of submission under the authority of elders. Based on three preponderantly qualitative empirical studies on kindergarten children, teenagers and young adults, young people’s commitment to that order is mapped out, defining their reasons for acceptance on the one hand and the limits of their acceptance on the other hand. Concerning the latter, a special focus is laid on processes of the “self” as well as notions of a “generation gap”. We can then deduce what the hierarchical age order means for the well-being of young people.

Colombia is the second country with the highest number of internally displaced persons. In the last 10 years, more than 400,000 young people carry, in their life experiences, the title of victims. The psychological and social circumstances that determine the lives of displaced young people in the world are not unknown. Fear, the poor resources for social adaptation available to them, and the possible reproduction of the cycle of violence, represent psychosocial risk factors in the young and displaced population. In this context, the Victims Law in Colombia stipulated various measures of repairment, including Relocation (the person or household victim of forced displacement decides to settle in some place, other than the one they were forced to leave) and Return (the person or the household victim of forced displacement decides to return to the place from which they were displaced, in order to settle indefinitely) provided the conditions of voluntariness, security, and dignity are present. A hypothesis that well-being will be better in the returnees was set, since they would strengthen the social support networks between neighbors and other victims in their old spaces of life. To test the hypothesis, the scales of Psychological Well-being, Social Well-being, the Satisfaction with Life Scale, and the Psychosocial Trauma Scale were applied to young returnees (n = 129) and relocated (n = 259) in Colombia. The Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis was performed to extract the general measure of well-being and psychosocial trauma followed by the comparison between the groups. Significance, power, and effect size indicators were obtained, and finally, the partial correlation between the groups was made in relation to psychosocial trauma and well-being. Results showed that returnees have greater well-being and clearer indicators (d = 0.365, 1-β = 0.996), with respect to that of relocated. In addition, the well-being of returnees has fewer trauma factors, who in turn are quasi-moderated by the situation of return or relocation.

The research featured the role of charity as a youth socialization factor. It was based on the functional approach developed by E. Durkheim, R. K. Merton and T. Parsons, which made it possible to consider charity as a socio-cultural phenomenon that meets important social needs and develops social solidarity. The research involved a quantitative online study. The respondents believe that charity events often fail due to the lack of publicity. Young people tend to be involved in charity activities organized by business structures. Their social activity is fuelled by their focus on getting good education, choosing career path, understanding their place in the world, etc. On the one hand, young people do not have the necessary experience and skills. On the other hand, they strive for independence of mind and action. The market society promotes the ideas of material well-being, personal gain, and competition. The task of the state, business, and family is to teach young people to combine material orientations and spiritual values. Charity as a form of social responsibility is a good way to resolve this contradiction.

There are three profound principles covered in this research including the Islamic view of national insight, the Islamic view of Islamic education with national insight and the implementation of Islamic education with national insight in the Republic of Indonesia. This research was intended to observe, identify and describe those issues. As the primary data were gathered by analyzing the various related literatures written by the experts of Islamic education as well as constitutional law, this research falls into the category of library research. Descriptive and analytical methods were simultaneously employed in carrying out this research. The former was to provide a general description of the issue to be interpreted, while the latter was to scrutinize the background of the issue. Data were then analyzed using content analysis technique. The finding of the research reveals that the proper model of Islamic education with national insight is the one with multi ethnicity and plurality of religion and culture for the sake of the unified Republic of Indonesia, a prosperous and blessed country.

The paper features the identification of individual-specific patterns of personal potential among the rural youth of the North of Siberia with and without alcohol dependence. The research methods included E. Y. Mandrikova’s questionnaire "Selfactivity", S. Maddi’s test in resilience (adapted by D. A. Leontiev and E. I. Rasskazova), D. A. Leontiev’s questionnaire "Reflection", E. Diener scale of subjective well-being, M.Ritsner’s questionnaire of quality of life satisfaction, R. Janoff-Bulman’s scale of basic beliefs, and B. Scheldon’s scale of self-determination. The research revealed some general trends in the structure of personal potential among the rural youth of the North of Siberia. It also made it possible to establish the types of deformations of personal potential among the young people with alcohol dependence syndrome. The resources and personal potential deficiencies identified by the present research may help to determine the targets of psychological correction, as well as to  choose psychotherapeutic and psychocorrectional methods in the provision of specialized medical and psychological assistance in the prevention, therapy, and rehabilitation of young people with alcohol addiction.
