<p>Firms need ambidextrous marketing functions which is being capable of exploitation and exploration of markets. In this research, impact of ambidextrous marketing on market performance and financial peformance is revealed using Structural Equation Model (SEM). Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) operating in information technology have been selected. For this reason, sample of the study was collected via questionnaire through 392 SME’s managers and owners. According to the results of the model; marketing exploitation has significant and positive direct effect on market performance while marketing exploration has significant and positive effects on market and financial performance. When dependent variables are examined, it is revealed that market performance has significant and positive direct effect on financial performance. As a result, it is demonstrated that ambidextrous marketing has impact on market and financial peformance.</p>

Among the main causes of absenteeism are health problems, emotional problems, and inadequate work-family policies (WFP). This paper analyses the impact of the existence and accessibility of WFP on work absenteeism, by considering the mediating role of the well-being, which includes emotional as well as physical or health problems, that is generated by these policies. We differentiate between the existence of the WFP and its accessibility, as the mere existence of the WFP in an organisation is not enough. Additionally, workers must be able to access these policies easily and without retaliation of any kind. The model includes the hierarchy and the gender as moderating variables. To test the proposed hypotheses, a structural equation model based on the partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) approach is applied to a sample of employees in the service sector in Spain. On the one hand, the findings show that the existence of WFP has no direct effect on absenteeism; however, accessibility to these policies does have a direct effect on absenteeism. On the other hand, both the existence and accessibility of WFP have positive direct effects on emotional well-being. In addition, emotional well-being is positively related to physical well-being which, in turn, promotes a reduction in absenteeism. Finally, significant differences in the relationship between the existence of WFP and emotional well-being confirm the special difficulty of female managers in reconciling family life and work life.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine how essential dimensions of customer experience management (CEM) drive business performance in Danish companies. Design/methodology/approach – An empirical study is conducted to investigate the relationships between seven CEM dimensions, differentiation, market performance and financial performance. The conceptual model is operationalized by a structural equation model, and the model is estimated and tested by using the partial least squares method. A survey among 484 companies in Denmark forms the empirical basis for the study. Findings – The findings provide evidence that the seven CEM dimensions influence differentiation, market performance and financial performance. High-performing companies differ significantly from low-performing companies with regard to how they master the CEM, meaning that those companies which incorporate superior customer experience into their products and service enjoy measurable financial success. Research limitations/implications – This study is limited to the seven identified CEM dimensions in Danish companies. Practical implications – This study has clear implications in terms of identifying and measuring the importance of essential CEM dimensions which influence business performance. The results can help companies to understand CEM and develop CEM strategies. Originality/value – The paper provides a deeper insight into CEM and how CEM works.

Objective: The present study aims to explore the mediation role of self-regulation on health-related behaviors adoption or maintenance, mental health, and well-being during the COVID-19 confinement in a sample of adults in Portugal.Design: One-hundred fifty individuals (118 females, 32 males; Mage = 33.57 year; SD = 12.71) filled an online survey to assess self-regulation, healthy behaviors, mental health, and well-being perception, during the early months of the pandemic (June–August, 2020).Main Outcome Measures: Self-regulation capacity, adoption or maintenance of healthy habits, mental health, including stress management, and the perception of one’s well-being were evaluated using a structural equation model (SEM).Results: Self-regulation had direct effects on healthy habits and mental health and indirect effects on well-being and mental health mediated by healthy habits. In specific, a positive direct effect on healthy habits (β = 0.497, p &lt; 0.001) and a negative direct effect on mental health (β = −0.428, p &lt; 0.001); and a positive indirect effect on well-being perception, mediated by healthy behaviors and mental health (β = 0.253, p = 0.003), and a negative indirect effect on mental health, mediated by healthy habits (β = −0.208, p = 0.003). Additionally, healthy habits exerted direct effects on well-being perception and mental health. A positive direct effect on well-being perception (β = 0.254, p = 0.012), and a negative direct effect on mental health (β = −0.418, p &lt; 0.001) were further observed. No direct effect of mental health was observed in well-being perception (β = −0.199, p = 0.068). Finally, a negative correlation was observed between self-regulation and weeks of confinement (r = −0.208, p = 0.021).Conclusion: Self-regulation seems to be a good indicator of adopting a healthy lifestyle and better mental health and well-being in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Future preventive actions and interventions to build long-term global preparedness for future health emergencies, such as COVID-19, should explore the importance of self-regulation as an important individual and collective protective factor.

The objectives of this research were (1) to analyse determinants of the influencing factors of the Indonesian Estate State-owned enterprises’ executive compensations; and (2) to analyse the relationship between compensation executive and firm performances. Statistical methods used for analysing these objectives were Structural Equation Model (SEM), contingency analysis, regresion analysis and qualitative analysis. The study found out that from all identified variables, executive decision mechanism, job complexity, firm size, firm ability to pay compensation, and product diversification and market expansionhad positive correlation and significant influenced to executive compensation. Human capital, business risk, executive employment market had significant correlations to executive compensation. The research had also shown a result that executive compensation provide positive correlation and significant influence towards financial performance (EBIT), customer performance (sales volume, output price, market area), internal process performance (OER target, OER realisation), and growth and learning performance (number of training investment, number of employees participated intraining). However, executive compensation did not give positive correlation and significant influenced towards financial performance (ROE) and customer performance(market share). This research also showed that direction of executive compensation was heading to company’s performance and not the opposite way.

Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that a new model was found on the positive direct effect of the reward system, transformational leadership style, communication, and motivation on productivity.

On of the management tool that often used by the management to manage their company is budget. Budget can be used by management as tool to plan and control the company activity. The purpose of the research is to examine the relationship between participative budget with job satisfaction and employee’s performanceand also the role of Job Relevant Information (JRI) as the intervening variable between participative budget with job satisfaction and employee’s performance. Variable that is used this research is participant budget, job satisfaction, employee’s performance and job relevant information (JRI). This research using survey method in which the researcher distribute questionnaire which include list of question to chosen respondents. Data analyses that were used in this research are validity and realibility test, Structural Equation Model and path analysis. The result shows that relationship between participative budget and job satisfaction figure out that participation in budgetary has positie in direct effect on employee’s job satisfaction and relationship between participative budget  and job performance figure out that participation in budgetary has positive in direct effect on employee’s job performance. In addition, the relationship between participative budgetary and job satisfaction through job relevant information as an intervening variable shows that there is a significantly positive direct effect., while the relationship between participative budgetary a job performance through job relevant information as an intervening variable shows that there is a significantly positive direct effect.Keywords: participative budgetary, job satisfaction, job performance and job relevant information.

Global coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The disease was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of China’s Hubei Province, and has since spread globally, resulting in the ongoing 2019–2020 coronavirus pandemic that has an impact which would be disturbed the personal productivity in the community. The dependent variable which is threat of COVID-19 (Thr_Cov-19), vulnerability of COVID-19 (Vul_Cov-19), and the unexpected change in society factors and one independent variable that is personal disturbance factors is used in this paper. Moreover, using as an indicator which will determine disturbance of personal productivity (D_PP) in the society. Since multiple regression by partial least square-structural equation modeling is used to examined of data by following unstructured method. Moreover, the resulting point out three dependent variables significantly influences on the independent variable of personal productivity in the society. As a matter of fact, this study concludes the foremost influence factor on D_PP in society due to COVID-19 risk factors such as Thr_Cov-19, Vul_Cov-19, and unexpected changed in the society factors. This study contributes to introductory study but vibrant understanding in stimulating the prediction of personal productivity in the society due to the COVID-19 attacks.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the promotion mix on the decision to purchase Kaluna Living pillows with brand awareness as an intervening variable. The sample in this study was 96 Kaluna Living consumers, where the non-probability technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The independent variable was the promotion mix, while the dependent variables were brand awareness and purchasing decisions. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (SEM) with partial least square (PLS) path analysis using the Smart PLS 3.0 software. The results showed that the promotion mix had a positive and significant effect on brand awareness; brand awareness had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions; the promotion mix had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions; and brand awareness was able to mediate part of the influence of the promotion mix on the purchasing decisions with a VAF value of 30.3%. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between effective knowledge management and corporate performance, to explore the dynamic symbiosis phenomenon of effective knowledge management based on organizational ecology with multinational companies (MNCs) and non-multinational companies (non-MNCs) and to explore the symbiosis strategy of knowledge management between multinational and non-multinational companies (non-MNCs) in China. Design/methodology/approach To measure effective knowledge management, this paper first uses structural equation model to measure knowledge management, based on the evolution dynamics equation in organizational ecology to measure the effectiveness of knowledge management, and studies the symbiosis of effective knowledge management between MNCs and non-MNCs based on ecological perspective. Findings Effective knowledge management can promote the financial performance of enterprises, but different degrees of effectiveness have different effects. In addition, the coupling and collaboration between knowledge management and corporate performance can reflect the value of effective knowledge management. The results show that effective knowledge management plays a positive moderating effect between knowledge management and corporate performance. Finally, the effective knowledge management system of MNCs (non-MNCs) has negative effect on non-MNCs (MNCs), showing the exclusive relationship between MNCs and non-MNCs in China. Research limitations/implications The effectiveness of knowledge management is only based on the measurement of financial performance coupling. For other types of performance, it needs to be tested. The samples may not cover symbiosis relationship of effective knowledge management in other countries. Practical implications This paper provides practical and theoretical reference for confirming the symbiotic interaction and identifying the opportunities and challenges of knowledge management among different types of corporation groups. Originality/value The paper is one of the pioneering studies to explore the pattern of symbiotic evolution of effective knowledge management between MNCs and non-MNCs. From completely new perspectives, this study advances the research of knowledge management to a new and promising area.

Advanced manufacturing technologies (AMT) acquisition by maquiladoras (foreign-owned manufacturing companies) is a tendency that allows these companies to maximize their commercial benefits. However, it remains unclear how the AMT implementation impacts on their performance. In addition, this research studies 383 responses to a questionnaire about the AMT implementation in the Mexican maquiladora industry and reports an analysis with four latent variables associating obtained benefits after the AMT implementation—human resources, flexibility, production process, and commercial benefits—where their relationships are evaluated through six hypotheses using a structural equation model (SEM). Finally, the outcomes demonstrated that AMT benefits for human resources have a direct effect on flexibility, production process, and commercial benefits. However, the direct effect from human resources benefits, knowledge, and experience on commercial benefits are acquired through indirect effects, using flexibility and production process as mediator variables.
