Crafts should be developed as part of the tourism sector, because when this pandemic ends, the tourism sector will need to rise up and be ready to answer the challenge. The tourism industry should be supported by souvenir crafts, but the products lack the design variance that is reflected in the local cultural character. This research aimed to develop designs based on local culture. The methods included studying local culture, formulating local culture concepts as Malang souvenir ceramic creation ideas, doing creative shape exploration and technique exploration, creating art and product prototypes, testing and validating the product diversification in terms of concept and prototype, and lastly, improving the product and analyzing the creative results. This research examined the problems of the tourism sector of the economy, that was described from the perspective of potential informatization. The features of the tourism industry functioning were reflected, some proposals were put forward regarding the design and development of an automated management system, and the geographical affiliation of the research areas were indicated. The tourist and recreational complex was proposed to understand as a separate component of the tourism industry, and was accordingly accepted as the object for the projected automated system. The authors had refined the formulation of the term "tourist and recreational complex" as a complex socio-economic system based on the problems and possibilities of it’s informatization. Sufficient attention was paid to the identification of the characteristic features of the tourist and recreational complex, to the designation and addition of its functions, to the possibilities and difficulties of formalization. Some features and problems of the designing an automated control system were described in this research, there were also suggests about its conceptual structure, and outlines the for further research. Special attention was paid to the developing of the automated system for managing the tourist and recreational complex, based on the requests, needs and capabilities of its three main groups of users: regional (district) management, business and guests (tourists, recreants).

Siladen is an island east of Bunaken Island with a population of approximately 300 family heads. Since the first Community as Fishermen to change since the entry of foreign and local investors invest their capital in the tourism sector by establishing resorts and international diving spot. Residents who were formerly fishermen, are now beginning to be recruited into company employees. The community of Siladen Island is derived from sangihe island and still maintains its cultural tradition, one of which is Masamper music. This art, often featured in social activities, local culture until now. To improve the welfare of the local community, the Community Service is implemented which is focused on the children. Tourism sector has a significant role in the economic development of our country. Tourism sector has contributed 6.88 percent to the GDP and has 12.36 percent share in employment (direct and indirect) in the year 2014. It has also a significant share in foreign exchange earnings. The benefit of tourism mostly goes to the local community (Sonya & Jacqueline, Mansour E. Zaei & Mahin E. Zaei, 2013). In this paper, an attempt has been made to assess how the tourism industry has created an opportunity for the economic, political, social and cultural development of the local community at Manali in Himachal Pradesh (India) and also tried to study the problems that are associated with the tourism in the region. The study found that the tourism industry has been extending its contribution for the development of local community at Manali. It has been providing employment, business and investment opportunities, revenue generation for the government, encouraging the community to promote and preserve its art, culture and heritage, raising the demand of agriculture products, provided opportunities for local people to run and work in the transport business and by promoting MSMEs in the region. Besides the opportunities, the tourism industry has also added many problems to the local community. Traffic congestion, increase in water and air pollution, solid waste generation, degradation of the cultural heritage, ecological imbalances, rise in cost of living, increase in crime, noise and environment pollution, migration of people to the region, negative impact on local culture, and extra pressure on civic services during the tourists season, are the problems associated with the tourism. The study suggest that effective management of natural resources, dissemination of environment protection information, involvement of local community in decision making, professionalization in the working of local administration, extending the support of government in sponsoring the events, infrastructure development, tracking records of migrants with the help of local community to curb the crime rate, promotion and preservation of art, culture and heritage, involvement of NGOs, compliance of the rules can make tourism more beneficial in the development of local community.

AbstractThis research explored the effects of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak on stock price movements of China’s tourism industry by using an event study method. The results showed that the crisis negatively impacted tourism sector stocks. Further quantile regression analyses supported the non-linear relationship between the government’s responses and stock returns. The results present that the resurgence of the virus in Beijing did bring about a short-term negative impact on the tourism industry. The empirical results can be used for future researchers to conduct a comparative study of cultural differences concerning government responses to the COVID-19.

Tourism sector provides a significant contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Republic of Indonesia, both through foreign exchange and economic turnover. Although the Indonesian tourism industry after the COVID-19 pandemic has changed with an emphasis on green and clean products, it is hoped that this sector will be lessened by the community compared to the previous era. Research and development of VR has been carried out in various fields such as games, education, aviation, medicine, the application of VR in tourism is still common, there is a need to implement tourism while staying at home. The results of the systematic literature review conducted provide an explanation of the starting point for research by applying VR and making 3600 videos for industrial tourism. Tourism sector is one of the major driving forces to develop the Turkish economy which provides the positive contributions with new employment opportunities and the national income and payments. With aid of this developments in economy by tourism, it has also increased the interaction with alternative areas. Health Tourism is also one of the special areas in which provides to the country high added value and foreign currency exchange income. Since the revenue outcome by health tourism is reaching up to 100 billion dollars, the national policy of health tourism enable countries has been undertaken as a high interested point of investment needed area. The critical threshold of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is 4 to 5 percent as a current account balance and this deficient outcome in Turkey mostly takes on 5 to 4 percent which is a considered as a critical threshold. Health Tourism is expected to play a key role in bringing the values to the positive levels and therefore the focus is becoming on this area by health sector. Developing countries such as India, Singapore, and Thailand meet their foreign trade deficits with the income where they have obtained from this specific sector and the level of growth in this sector is at certain rate every year. The health Tourism is very crucial and significant sector for such a country Turkey, who has current budget deficit, and it is real economic sense. With Covid-19 crisis, the plans related with health tourism is re-evaluated by the coordination between Turkish Ministry of Health, Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Economy. Especially, with the infrastructure works carried for public and city hospitals has been capable of providing health tourism services within the organization which is called “USHAŞ (International Health Services)”. The health tourism sector offers significant opportunities for Turkey during Covid-19 pandemic effects on our current account deficit and the decline in economic recovery of our tourism industry and losses. With health tourism created opportunities is already in an increasing trend, to contribute to the country’s economy much faster by increasing target markets with public-private cooperation.

The Covid-19 pandemic brought massive devastations to the different levels of society. The World Travel and Tourism Council had recently warned that Covid-19 pandemic could lead to a cut of 50 million jobs worldwide in the travel and tourism industry. A study conducted by Oxford reveals that Asia will be vilest to be affected by the pandemic and it would take time to recover its economy (Dogra, 2020). This means a wider and greater impacts to the different industries including the tourism sector. The study aims to explore the coping mechanisms of hospitality industry workers in Boracay Island during the Covid-19 pandemic particularly on their experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic and to determine the coping mechanisms of hospitality workers in Boracay Island being affected by the pandemic. The case study method through a qualitative analysis using Robert Yin's approach in the data analysis procedure to explore the data from the experiences of the key informants from the hospitality industry was used. Themes came out from the construct of the key informants like (1) hospitality industry workers experienced mental health, social, and economic issues, (2) The pandemic opens new opportunities and ways to cope with its effects. The output of this research is the proposed Danay, Danay, Escarilla, and Maming Model for Coping Mechanisms of Hospitality Industry workers during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
