The purpose of this study was to determine feasibility of thematic teaching materials for elementary school class VI theme 1 based on local wisdom. This research method referred to the theory of Borg and Gall, using seven steps or research implementation, namely potentials and problems, research planning, developing initial product, field testing, revision, validation, and final improvement. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and questionnaire techniques. The analysis used in this research is quantitative and qualitative analysis including learning observation and validation of teaching material products. Sources of data in this study were grade VI students and teachers. From the material expert validation process obtained an average result of 3,41 with percentage of 85% and very good category. The validation from linguists obtained 90% result with an average 3,6 and very good category. For the result of teacher responses obtained an average result of 3,85 total score 3466 with very good category. For the result of the response students, the average result was 3,94 and the total score was 568 in the very good category. Development of Inquiry-Based Teaching Materials Guided by the Material of Heat Transfer Class V Elementary School 2 Alue Teh This study aims to: 1) produce a product in the form of science teaching materials based on guided inquiry on heat transfer material; 2) describe the results of product validation based on guided inquiry teaching materials on the material heat transfer class V Elementary School 2 Alue Teh; and 3) analyzing effectiveness science teaching materials based on guided inquiry on heat transfer material can improve student learning outcomes class V Elementary School 2 Alue Teh. Research This was carried out in class V of Alue Teh 2 Public Elementary School. This research is a Research Research & amp; Development (R & D) includes Define (definition), Design (Design), Develop (development), and Disseminate (deployment). The design of teaching materials uses small group trials and large group trials which was conducted in class V Elementary School 2 Alue 2 Alue Teh. Data has been verified by 2 a material expert lecturer, and 2 design expert lecturers. Overall the results of expert validation the material obtained an average of 92% with the very feasible category while the results the design expert validation as a whole obtained an average of 95% in the category very worthy. At the effectiveness stage, the results showed that the second posttest data on the ability of student learning outcomes has a value of t count (= 0,000) so there is a difference because sig (2-tailed) & lt; 0.05 and t count is positive so that H 0 is rejected. Based on this, it can concluded that "there is a significant difference in learning outcomes among students who are taught using based teaching materials guided inquiry with students who are not taught to use inquiry guided.

This study aims at developing writing materials based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach for Indonesian EFL learners. It adapted R and D development model proposed by Borg and Gall consisting of seven steps: research and information collection, developing a preliminary product, expert validation, product revision, field-testing/try-out, revision, and final product. On the basis of preliminary research and information collections result, the preliminary product was produced by considering the seven principles of CTL approach. From the expert validation, it shows that the developed material was on good criteria and eligible to be used as the handbook or instructional materials for Writing II. However, the expert suggested revising some points on making clearer instruction, reflecting the activities to the topic/subtopic, revising the typing errors, and arranging the spacing among the sections. After revising, it is tried out to the students. The result of the try-out shows that the product was categorized on good criteria. Based on the students’ comments, the content of the product had been already complete and interesting. The provision of more than one model texts made students understand the topic more easily. Next, the various activities provided (individual, peer, and group) made the materials more interesting.
