Urbanization processes and urban environmental degradation: problematization in the context of Youth and Adult EducationABSTRACTThis article aims to analyze the insertion of environmental education in youth and adult education from the problematization of urbanization processes and urban environmental degradation in the municipality of Capão da Canoa (RS). The instruments used for data collection were questionnaires (objective and subjective) for the students, ecological footprint tests and debates. The involvement and participation of the students brought the movement of belonging, of historical, social and environmental reflections about their community. Environmental education offers conditions to educate for citizenship, for critical and political thinking about social and local problems that that community faces. The ecological footprint test enabled a comparative analysis to developed countries, the social and environmental conditions of each in relation to the students of the class, since the result was lower than these places where the use of natural resources and waste disposal. It is concluded, from the actions developed, that the most important result of this research is the emergence of how much is necessary spaces of experience in Environmental Education at all levels of schooling and segments of society, promoting reflections and enabling actions to transform their realities. Keywords: Environmental degradation; Environmental education; Youth and adult education. The theory of organizational culture by G. Hofstede, the section of individualismcollectivism is defined as interdisciplinary foundations. The autonomy and independence of local self-government, contained in Russian and European legal provisions, is not the norm, it has been proven to increase the level and is an element of the social capital of developed countries. In this model, elements of public administration at the local level, their interaction and influence on the final result of the activities of local authorities are proposed. The category elements included in the model were obtained by the method of comparative analysis with the identification of differences in local government systems in the process of their strategic development.

BRAZIL AND THE BELIEF IN A FUTURE THAT NEVER TAKES PLACE: reflections about the forms of recognition of the Brazilian guyEL BRASIL Y LA CRENZA EN UN FUTURO QUE NUNCA SE REALIZA: reflexiones sobre las formas de reconocimiento del sujeto brasileñoO presente artigo trata das formas de reconhecimento através das quais o sujeito brasileiro se reconhece. Ainda veremos que o aspecto social está totalmente desvinculado do aspecto político no Brasil (ao contrário do que vemos em países desenvolvidos).Palavras-chave: Brasil; Reconhecimento; História; Memória Nacional.ABSTRACTThis article deals with the forms of recognition through which the brazilian subject is recognized. Among the elements that make up these forms, they are memory and the national imagination. We see that in Brazil, the national myths do not help to organize, do not have an organizing role of society (as in other countries), but rather are self-delusion instruments. The country’s drama thus lies in the contrast between imaginary (or dream) and reality. Between aspiration (what we would like to be) and realization (what we are in practice). We will see that the social aspect is completely detached from the political aspect in Brazil (unlike what we see in developed countries). Abstract Given the growth the oil industry faced in contemporary Brazil and, since the Environmental Education is a compensatory measure in the federal environmental licensing, the aims of the present article are: i) mapping the publications on "environmental vulnerability"; ii) checking on the incorporation of such concept into the institutional and legal environmental education (EE) framework in oil licensing iii) understanding how the mentioned concept is used by economic agents in Macaé city. The methodology consisted of a participant observation approach used during the implementation of an EA program in Macae between 2012 and 2014, as well as of literature review, data collection in the legislation on EA in oil licensing and in technical documents produced by economic agents. Despite the advancement of academic discussions about the "environmental vulnerability" concept, we see the absence of clear criteria to define the social groups in vulnerability situations in educational activities concerning the environmental licensing.

AbstractEvent tourism is accompanied by social, economic and environmental benefits and costs. The assessment of this form of tourism has however largely focused on the social and economic perspectives, while environmental assessments have been bound to a destination-based approach. The application of the Ecological Footprint methodology allows for these environmental assessment boundaries to be extended. This case study applies the footprint methodology to the Australian Association for Environmental Education (AAEE) Biennial Conference held in Adelaide in 2004. The results of the case study provide important insight into the planning and delivery of future events for the Association and event managers.

The present economic crisis has highlighted a country in transition to a market economy, which has not experienced economic recession: Poland. The Polish experience cannot be overlooked because the country‘s positive economic evolution was completely different from the evolution of the largest European economies, many of them facing distressful situations for long periods of time. The question to be addressed in this paper is „Could the present economic realities be partially influenced by the historical evolution of a country?“ In an attempt to provide an answer to this question, the present paper will highlight the social and economic developments in Romania and Poland in relation to developed countries for the period 1945-1989 and will conduct a comparative analysis between the two countries. The conclusions of the present study will be the starting point in a comparative analysis of the two countries in the post-communist period.

This paper reports on the international practices I observed as part of a study tour I undertook as a 2005 NSW Premier's Visy Industries Environmental Education Scholarship holder. Interest in urban environmental education (EE) and education for sustainability (EFS) is increasing as rapid urbanisation emerges as one of the greatest challenges facing the world today. The urbanisation processes, fueled by globalisation, environmental degradation, rural unemployment and technological change, are forcing a global exodus from rural areas to urban ones. For developed countries like Australia, urbanisation has resulted in localised environmental and social problems in our cities. These issues include urban design; land clearing and urban sprawl; transport and infrastructure planning; disposal of solid waste; water, noise and air pollution; preservation of biodiversity and heritage; water scarcity; social isolation; loss of social capital and socio economic inequality. The impact of the developed world's largely urban population on the all eco-systems, has focused critical world attention on urban places as the sources of widespread environmental degradation.

Use of free technologies in the collection of meteorological data in the fieldA B S T R A C TThe use of technology in the field is becoming very common in most developed countries, largely because of the competitiveness and efficiency demanded by agribusiness, however, their use seems to apply more in large agriculture and livestock properties moving away from small farmers, who still They not incorporated in its production process. We had it intended in this work to create a portable agro-meteorological equipment and low cost using the Arduino, a computer set with sensors and components for data collection, and the Android operating system most used on mobile devices today. The results of the samples taken to work in comparative analysis with professional equipment meteorological center of a university showed reliability of the data and therefore the viability of the use of information generated could subsidize taken of the small farmer decision on action planning. Keywords: agribusiness, agro-meteorological, Arduino, Android.

Compared to its past structure, Turkey is now a country with low levels of fertility and mortality. This junction that Turkey now has reached is associated with a number of risks, such as an ageing population, and a decreasing working-age population. The antinatalist policy era of Turkey was followed by a period of maintenance, yet the recent demographic changes formed the basis of a pronatalist population policy from the government’s view. This study discusses the link between demographic change and population policies in Turkey. It further aims to position Turkey spatially in relation to selected countries that are in various stages of their demographic transitions with different population policies, using a multidimensional scaling approach with data on 25 selected countries from the UN. The analysis is based on a 34-year period, 1975-2009, so as to better demonstrate Turkey’s international position on a social map, past and present. Our findings suggest that Turkey’s position on the social map shifted towards developed countries over time in terms of demographic indicators and population policies.
