Curriculum 2013 is the development of curriculum KTSP. In this curriculum there were four competencies (KI) are KI-1 (religious attitudes), KI-2 (social attitudes), KI-3 (knowledge) and KI-4 (skill). KI-1 and KI-2 integrated in the KI-3 and KI-4. One of Learning approach in Curriculum 2013 is Scientific Approach with do activities like observing, questioning, experiment/ trying/exploration, processing and communicate information. The aim of the study is to observe Scientific Approach in the RPP and its appropriateness in learning. This is a descriptive study by using purposive sampling technique. The data obtained through the study of the documentation, observation, and interviews. The sample of the study is a Cluster III’s Senior High School that piloting by Curriculum 2013 at Bandung. The results of the study showed in generally, the content of Scientific Approach in the RPP is 69,17% and its appropriateness is 57,84%. This means that scientific approach in Biology learning has not been done well.

The use of technology in the process of learning activities can create a new atmosphere in biology learning, namely direct learning and learning using quipper school online. Learning like this is known as blended learning. The class used for the study was taken through cluster random sampling technique namely X MIPA 2 (experimental class) which implements blended learning and X MIPA 3 (control class) which implements a scientific approach. The implementation of blended learning on the topic of ecology is expected to be effective towards understanding concepts. Blended learning is effective on understanding concepts in ecological discussion because they fulfill three indicators, namely: (1) the average posttest of the experimental class 74.95> the mean posttest of the control class is 64.98, (2) The value of understanding the concepts to the two classes shows a significant difference with the values significance of 0,000<0,05, (3) Mean value of N-Gain experimental class 0.52> N-Gain mean value of control class 0.32. Thus, the implementation of blended learning in the ecology chapter in terms of understanding the concept is said to be effective.

The interest of students to enter in high school is important because it also encourages schools to continue to improve their quality so as to create good relationships between schools, graduates, stakeholders, and parents of students. This study aims to determine the factors that influence student interest in school at Nurul Islam Jember High School. This research is a descriptive research. The sampling technique is quota sampling. The data analysis technique uses factor analysis. The results of the study show that the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin value Measure of Sampling Adequacy is greater than 0.50 which is equal to 0.721> 0.50 and the value of Barlett’s Test of Sphericity (Sig.) 0,000 <0.05. The MSA value for the variable under study is greater than 0.50 except for the variable q26 or question number 26 where the value of MSA is 0.375 <0.50 so that this variable is not used. the conclusions of the study are the factors that influence students choosing schools in Nurul Islam Jember High School consisting of 25 variables grouped into 7 factors. The first factor was the influence of parents with Initial Eigenvalues of 5.131, Peers with Initial Eigenvalues 4.185, Academic Success with Initial Eigenvalues 2,899, Early school experience with Initial Eigenvalues 1,563, Attitudes toward work with Initial Eigenvalues 1,284, Relations between teachers and students with Initial Eigenvalues 1,140, The emotional atmosphere of the school with Initial Eigenvalues 1.110. Suggestions for research are so that further research can measure the influence of each variable.

This study aims to determine the differences in students' reading interest in biology learning models based on remap CIRC, GI, and TGT. It is a quasi-experiment implemented in Public High School N of Malang, Indonesia and Public High School S of Malang, Indonesia in the odd semester of 2014/2015. The research population was all students of 10th grade of Public High School of Malang, Indonesia. The sampling technique was random sampling.  The research sample consisted of 10th-grade science 1 of Public High School N of Malang, Indonesia, 10th-grade science 2 of Public High School N of Malang Indonesia, and 10th-grade science 1 of Public High School S of Malang, Indonesia as an experiment group; and 10th-grade science 3 of Public High School N of Malang, Indonesia as a control group. The analysis was carried out in a quantitative. The result showed that the CIRC  remapping learning model had the greatest influence on students' reading interest compared to GI and TGT. The students’ reading interest scores using remap CIRC, GI, and TGT models were 82.90, 76.23, and 80.49. Remap CIRC, GI, and TGT model should be applied in biology learning because it can empower students' reading interest.
