The article considers the complex problem of effective functioning and the methodology development for managing transportation on low-density railway lines when interacting with intensive highways, which is urgent for railway transport. The article raises complex problems and investigates theoretical provisions of the problems of functioning of low-density railway lines and their interaction with intensive and projected (modernized) lines. The solution to this problem is of great socio-economic and economic importance for the operation of the railway transport network, ensuring the needs of production and the population in transportation. The article proposes a comprehensive synergetic-indicator approach to the management of intensive and low-density railway lines based on existing management functions, including analysis, organization, stimulation, control and coordination of the transportation process. A general assessment of the dynamics of the functioning of low-density railway lines is given. The conceptual structure of the integrated synergetic-indicator approach is presented, which has empirical foundations, prerequisites, theoretical foundations and implementation, confirmed by reliability criteria. The structure of the proposed railway transport management system is developed for the selection of management objects. The elements of interaction of busy, low-density and projected railway lines are established. The mathematical model diagram of the interaction of intensive modernized low-density lines and the state function of the system under consideration have been developed. The modeled transport system is classified.

Ultimate resolution in the scanning electron microscope is determined not only by the diameter of the incident electron beam, but by interaction of that beam with the specimen material. Generally, while minimum beam diameter diminishes with increasing voltage, due to the reduced effect of aberration component and magnetic interference, the excited volume within the sample increases with electron energy. Thus, for any given material and imaging signal, there is an optimum volt age to achieve best resolution.In the case of organic materials, which are in general of low density and electric ally non-conducting; and may in addition be susceptible to radiation and heat damage, the selection of correct operating parameters is extremely critical and is achiev ed by interative adjustment.

Energy efficiency of systems of water pumping is a complex problem since efficiency of two distinct interacting systems needs to be combined: water and power supply. This paper introduces a non-intrusive method of calculating the so-called “collective losses” of a cage induction motor. The term “collective losses”, which the authors define, allows for accurate estimation of motor efficiency. Control system of a pump determines operating point of a pumping station, and thus its efficiency. General estimated performance characteristics of a motor, components of a control system, are assumed to serve selection of a range of pumping speed variations. Rotational speed has a direct effect on motor load torque, pump power and head, and thus on motor performance. Hellwig’s statistical method was used to specify characteristics of estimated collective losses on the basis of experimental studies of 21 motors rated at up to 2.2 kW. The results of simulations and experiments are used to verify validity and efficiency of the suggested method. The method is non-intrusive, simple to use, and requires minimum data.

The article focuses on the presentation of the Hungarian-Bulgarian valence dictionary, which is currently in preparation, against the background of an extremely actual task – the creation of an academic English-Bulgarian dictionary, adequately reflecting the current state of vocabulary in both languages. The author substantiates the need for such a dictionary, given the lack of general and specialized Hungarian-Bulgarian dictionaries, based on the theoretical foundations and principles of modern lexicography. Outlined are the main features of the dictionary, the specificities and approaches in the work of its compilation. The selection of material and the methods of its presentation are in accordance with the practical needs of learners of Hungarian as a foreign language.

Due to the adaptation of recent pollution mitigation and justification policies there has been a growing trend for electricity generation from various renewable resources. The selection of the optimal renewable energy technology could be measured as a complex problem due to the complication of forthcoming circumstances in any country. Consequently, the proposed similar complex assessment problem can be tackled with the support of Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) methods. The current research study investigates a technology selection problem by proposing a hybrid MADM approach based on the Step-Wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) approach with a hierarchical arrangement combined with the Multi-Objective Optimization on the basis of Ratio Analysis plus the full MULTIplicative form (MULTIMOORA). Ultimately, a conceptual case study regarding the selection of the optimal renewable energy technology based on a conceptual development project in Iran has been examined by the proposed combinative MADM methodology.

AbstractExperiments were made to study the proportion, chemical composition, and rumen degradability of the morphological components of barley straw (Corgi variety) and to study the selection of these components by sheep. The proportions in the harvested straw dry matter (DM) as leaf blade, leaf sheath, stem and chaff were 128, 314, 500 and 58 g/kg DM, respectively. The different components of straw on analysis proved to have very different concentrations of nitrogen and neutral-detergent cellulase digestibility. The leaf blades had the highest and the stems the lowest values. The degradabilities of DM in the components and in the whole straw were determined by measuring DM loss from samples incubated in nylon bags for various periods in the rumen of sheep. Responses were measured using the mathematical model p = a+b (1–e−ct) where p is DM loss, (a+b) potential degradability, c the rate constant of DM loss and t is the time of incubation. DM losses decreased in the order leaf blades > leaf sheath > whole plant > chaff > stems. Leaf blades also had the highest potential degradability and rate of degradation.In another trial, five sheep were offered unchopped barley straw ad libitum. There were five treatment periods in which sheep were allowed to leave uneaten proportionately 0·2, 0·3, 0·4, 0·5 and 0·7 of the straw on offer for assessing the animal's selection of the morphological components of that straw. The amount of leaf blade in the material consumed increased in largely a linear (P < 0·01) fashion with the amount of excess allowance. The proportion of stem eaten varied conversely. The selection of leaf sheath was less apparent. Little stem was consumed until the proportion of leaf blade in the food available decreased below proportionately 0·4. The practical significance of the study is discussed.

AbstractThis work deals with the study of polymers, and, in particular, polyethylene; its production, types, properties, and usage. The experimental part evaluates the changes of properties of the polyethylene film to be reused under various exposure conditions and selection of the most suitable medium for its application. The film made of low-density polyethylene (LD-PE) was influenced by aggressive media with different pH, specifically Savo for the disinfection, Savo as a Saponate for dish washing and Coca-Cola. On LD-PE films the water absorption and melting temperature evaluation tests were performed. Carried out tests show that the most aggressive medium for LD-PE film from used media is Coca-Cola. The most effective application of LD-PE film like wrapping on container transported is the Savo used as a Saponate for dish washing.

The author has studied the problem of the development of theoretical foundations and methodical tools for conducting job research within the National Police of Ukraine. The author has stated theoretical grounds of creating a profile for the profession of a detective; has revealed the possibilities of using some methods and means of job research for the development of modern profiles of the professions of the system of the National Police of Ukraine. It has been demonstrated that a profile of the profession as a set of parameters characterizing a successful specialist, a professional in a certain field of professional activity, is an important component of the job description. The main component of the profile is the characteristic of psychological peculiarities of professional activity.On the basis of experimental research, the author has formulated the requirements of the profession to the motivational sphere of a specialist, his abilities, temperamental and characterological traits, etc. The main components of the profile of a detective’s profession have been considered. The author has described such structural components of the profile of the profession as general characteristics of the activity, working conditions, negative factors, occupational risk factors, psychological characteristics and professionally important personal qualities of a specialist. The author has provided the demands of the profession to the sensory and perceptual sphere of a detective, general and special abilities, the features of temperament and character, motivation, emotional and volitional qualities. It has been emphasized that comprehensive study of professional police activity based on the development of profiles of the profession is a prerequisite for solving problems related to the efficiency of using personnel potential, optimizing the selection of the most appropriate candidates for the police force, training and retraining of personnel, rationalization of work and reduction of injuries, etc.On the basis of a broad experimental study, the author has established the list of the main professional qualities of a detective of the National Police; has determined the qualitative and quantitative psychological and psychophysiological indicators recommended for the professional activity. The author has also established psychological and psychophysiological contraindications for overtaking the professional activity of a detective (a criminal police officer).

As part of the development of monitoring systems for the operation of technical objects, the problem of improving the quality of monitoring systems for the loaded state is considered. Based on the analysis of the mathematical model of the structure and its loading, a methodology for the selection of measuring instruments was developed. The urgency of the problem of calculating substantiation of the choice of key points of the structure is shown, at which it is possible to measure deformations for the subsequent restoration of the existing loads with maximum accuracy. An approach based on the envelope method for determining the rational composition of measuring instruments for restoring the loads acting on the structure is stated.

Abstract. In the work, a review of scientific articles on the behavior of tissues and organs of the human body under local mechanical effects on it, as well as a description of the physico-mechanical properties of biological materials. The selection of mechanical behavior for each biological material as part of a mathematical model of the human torso was carried out, its finite element model was created, validation experiments were modeled using data presented in the literature. An original calculation model of a human torso with a tuned interaction of organs with each other was developed. Contact interaction parameters are determined. The developed computational model of a human torso was verified based on data from open sources for an experiment with mechanical action by a cylindrical impactor. An algorithm for processing pressure and acceleration graphs has been implemented in order to obtain tolerance curves. A specialized modular program has been created for the automated processing of calculation results and the output of the main results. 42 numerical tests were carried out simulating the entry of a steel ball into each of 21 zones for power engineers of 40 and 80 J. According to the results of the tests for each organ, pressure and acceleration tolerance curves were obtained, animations of the behavior of organs under shock were created, visualization of the pressure field propagation in organs was obtained torso.

This undistinguished, productive, drought resistant, vigorous white grape, Airén, from the La Mancha region of Spain, was said to be the most widely planted grape in the world. In part the justification for this claim relies upon the observation that it is planted at a very low density! Except for its use in blending to make other wines “lighter,” it has not found wide accep¬tance. In part, it appears that its lack of popularity is the result of what is reported to be a mild, neutral flavor, and advertising has not pushed wines produced from it to the fore. Although it is now common to attempt to analyze the headspace (or ullage) in bottled wine (as well as the wine itself ) by chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques it is less common to find that the grapes (skin, must, and seeds) are also subjected to such analysis. Nonetheless, the phenolic composition of V. vinifera var Airén was subjected to just such analysis during ripening from véraison to “technological” maturity (i.e., maturity which might actually be earlier than harvest, the latter being the decision of the viticulturist and vintner). The analysis of the ethyl ether extract of macerated skins, seeds, and accumulated solids (the pomace) was undertaken. Procyanidins and anthocyanins which would (the authors claim) interfere with subsequent analysis would not move into the ether phase. It was also found (using controls) that other highly polar materials (e.g., carboxylic acids) were only poorly extracted from the macerated skins and seeds. The isolated compounds and some information about their sources are provided in Figures 14.1 and 14.2. The analysis of the seeds, skin, and must did lead to the conclusion that “the maximum concentrations of benzoic and cinnamic acids and aldehydes and flavonol aglycones and glycosides at the end of the ripening period did not coincide with the minimum concentrations of the flavan-3-ols and hydroxycinnamic tartaric esters.” Depending upon what was sought, this information might thus affect decisions concerning the harvest date.
