The research is devoted to the consideration of the paradigmatic aspect of All-Russian nouns based on the material of the Arkhangelsk’s sub-dialects. We consider All-Russian nouns with rich polysemy in the Arkhangelsk’s sub-dialects, which have a large number of semantic equivalents in relation to bilateral implication. In lexical synonymy, homonymy of Russian sub-dialects, along with distinctive features, there are many similarities with synonymy, homonymy in the vocabulary of the literary language. It is established that All-Russian nouns have large synonymic series defined by language units, which are in the relationship of semantic juxtaposition. In the dialect system, as well as in the literary language, each lexical meaning has its own set of synonyms, which confirms a certain connection of synonymy with polysemy, in other words, a certain connection between paradigmatic relations and the semantic structure of the word is obvious. It is proved that in the dialect system the synonymic chain expands due to the nominations of species branches. In this study we discover characteristic detailing fixing an object, the phenomenon with a different set of concrete distinctive signs that creates certain conditions for rich synonymy.

The article explores the specifics of gag and trick in the genres of musical eccentrics and clownery as means of expression in the circus and variety. By establishing relationships and distinctive features between the trick and gag, the author discovers an innovative approach to the theoretical understanding of the clown genre and musical eccentrics. The problem of the relationship of main assets of expressiveness is considered separately in clowning and musical eccentric numbers, which gives the author the opportunity to identify discrepancies in the theoretical conclusions of Slavsky R. regarding the definition of the term "gag”. The article proves the failure of the substitution of the term gag for the term comic trick with reference to a musical eccentric. Keywords: trick classification, trick functions, dramatic gag, gag as a comic trick, walkthrough and storyline gages, basic and auxiliary means of expression, clown and musical eccentricity in the system of original circus genres

The gross features of the aortic valve apparatus, consisting of three semilunar leaflets, three interleaflet triangles, three commissures, and the aortic wall, are discussed both in terms of normal and pathological anatomy. The concept of aortic annulus and the relationship of the aortic valve with the coronary arteries, the membranous septum, and conduction system and the mitral valve are addressed. When dealing with pathology, the chapter focuses on the main distinctive features of aortic valve stenosis and aortic valve incompetence. Regarding the former, the abnormalities reside in the cusps, either two or three in number, with cusp thickening, and calcification with or without commissural fusion (thus distinguishing senile and chronic rheumatic valve disease); in the latter, the gross changes can affect either the cusps (infective endocarditis with tissue perforation/laceration and rheumatic valve disease with tissue retraction) or the aortic wall (ascending aorta aneurysm either inflammatory or degenerative). The distinctive gross abnormalities in the various conditions are illustrated.

Abstract The relationship between the wordformation meaning and the lexical meaning on the one hand and the relationship between potentiality and reality of the lexical meaning on the other hand belongs to the topics repeatedly dealt with by Klára Buzássyová. In her studies she also stated that the assessment of the wordformation meaning and the lexical meaning is a task for lexicographers (and a task of lexicographic treatment of the vocabulary). Denominal relational adjectives still represent a lexicographic challenge in terms of treating their (real) lexical meaning. Their wordformation meaning is general: ‘relating to the fact denoted by the motivating word’. Their lexical meaning is given by the relation to the motivating noun or the motivating multiword unit (the polysemantic structure of the motivating noun is thus indicated in the semantic structure of the adjective) and by the reference to the governing noun (collocability of relational adjectives as a consequence of their dominant use in the attributive position, i.e. in adjectivesubstantive combinations, is also expressed in their semantic structure). The lexical meaning of denominal relational adjectives is also influenced by the lexicalization process, e.g. by the accumulation of semantic elements on their systemic qualificative meaning (the characteristic property meaning and comparative meaning), leading sometimes to the total loss of connection with the motivating noun.

The purpose of the study was to identify the interdependence of the process of hardiness and psychological capital of the individual. The hardiness of the individual is considered as the main resource for turning life events into new opportunities and experience, despite the external pressure. The concept of psychological capital has relatively recently come into use. It expresses the general resource state of a person and is formulated as a property that makes it possible to evaluate one's achievements in life, and one’s potential. The article analyzes the theories of the personality hardiness and psychological capital in foreign and domestic psychological science and the relationship of a number of similar concepts and phenomena in it; the main components, characteristic features and the main signs of their interdependence. The conclusion drawn is based on the data of theoretical analysis and experimental research of the properties of personality and psychological capital. The experimental study covered individuals aged 19 to 25 (N=35). In the course of the study, two methods were used: "Hardiness test" (S. Maddi) and the test "Psychological capital" (F. Luthans). It was found that the basis of the interdependence between the components of hardiness and psychological capital are the following distinctive features – the relationship between "commitment" and "self-efficacy", the relationship between "commitment" and "optimism", the relationship between" control "and "self-esteem", the relationship between "challenge" and "self-esteem".

The present study was conducted to investigate the psycholinguistic bases and realization mechanism of semantic changes. Semantic extension that occurs in words comprehended in original nominative meaning has many times been the objective of linguistic investigations. As modern linguistics focuses more and more on the relationship of language and cognition, language and psychology, linguistic analyses and studies of word semantics are also directed to cognitive and thinking processes. The article aims to scrutinize main factors that bring about semantic changes. The semantic structure of a word undergoes multilateral changes throughout the historical development of language. Most words in language may assume additional meanings in functional speech that are not fixed in their lexicographic definitions. These peripheral or potential semantic components of meaning are realized in the thoughts of people in certain contexts. One of the reasons bringing about polysemy is explained by generalizing character of human thinking. The current study explains the approaches of both traditional and cognitive linguistics towards the above-mentioned linguistic phenomenon. The article also provides the interpretation of semantic development on the basis of the element of reality—the minimum unit that is comprehended, introduced in the theory of Linguo-Psychological Unity (LPU) newly created in Azerbaijani linguistics.

The problem of differentiating all-Russian and dialect vocabulary, the latter being based on all-Russian one, is traditionally one of the most discussed in dialect studies and dialect lexicography. In the dialects of Old Believers of the Amur region there is a large group of adjectives possessing structural and semantic characteristics different from the corresponding ones of the words of the literary language. Lexical-semantic content of dialect adjectives determined by the nature of their compatibility with the noun and synonymy, antonymy, hypo/hypernymy etc relations within the language system, reveals their distinctive features. Distinctive function of compatibility is largely performed while differentiating between lexical-semantic variants of all-Russian and dialect adjectives. The results of the study of a polysemic adjective parnoi indicate its special lexicographic status characterized by limited use in the literary language and wider compatibility in dialects, besides it did not appear in early Russian manuscripts. In addition to traditional meanings of ‘fresh’, ‘humid, hot, stuffy’, ‘melted’, the adjective parnoi demonstrated unexpected meanings determined by the following compatibility: parnoi rebjonok (newly-born baby) and parnaja rodilnitsa (a woman who has just given birth to a child). The obtained results have certain implication for illustrating word meanings in dictionaries more adequately.

A mosque is a manifestation in which religion meets with art, demonstrating the most distinctive features of this art. Among the structural analysis approaches in architectural science, body analysis is critical, especially while the conceptual characteristics are considered. The positioning of the mosque building bodies and their relation to each other is also essential. The study aims to realize the geometry of motifs in Islamic architecture contemplated in many scientific and artistic disciplines from the perspective of body approach and understand the pattern on which this creative adaptation is made. In the Safavid era and the Ottoman Empire, Iran, due to its religious approaches, political rivalries, and European influence, saw new relations, and their cultural and artistic influences became tight. To understand the structural features of the architecture of the Safavid and Ottoman era, Sheikh Lotfollah and Sultan Ahmad mosques were studied (as a case study), considering their body analysis as a route to investigate the application of concepts and elements of Islamic architecture, as well as considering the architectural practices of the region and geographical location. Obtained results provided the relationship of the bodies and spaces to each other. Despite many differences, there are some distinct similarities in the body of the studied mosques due to the mystery of the motifs that unite the whole building in Islamic buildings. There is a display of homogeneity and dominance of decoration over the form. The one behind the decoration is in line with Islamic concepts and values. It is a message of unity and solidarity.

The relationship of language and thinking is starting to receive considerable attention in the field of SLA research under the name of Bilingual Cognition. This paper argues that it needs to be underpinned by a proper foundation in the language side of the relationship: it is dangerous to take language for granted. First it argues for researchers to clearly spell out what they mean by language, whether as the general property of human beings, in an abstract sense, as an external reality, as mental knowledge, as social community or as action, each of which has different implications for the relationship of language and cognition. Then it argues for the Language Commitment to an adequate theory and description of language as a basis for research, claiming that current emphasis is too much on isolate semantic categories rather than syntactic categories and on word-referent mapping rather than the full complexity of lexical meaning.

The Mesozoic-Cenozoic coral Order Scleractinia has been suggested to have originated or evolved (1) by direct descent from the Paleozoic Order Rugosa or (2) by the development of a skeleton in members of one of the anemone groups that probably have existed throughout Phanerozoic time. In spite of much work on the subject, advocates of the direct descent hypothesis have failed to find convincing evidence of this relationship. Critical points are:(1) Rugosan septal insertion is serial; Scleractinian insertion is cyclic; no intermediate stages have been demonstrated. Apparent intermediates are Scleractinia having bilateral cyclic insertion or teratological Rugosa.(2) There is convincing evidence that the skeletons of many Rugosa were calcitic and none are known to be or to have been aragonitic. In contrast, the skeletons of all living Scleractinia are aragonitic and there is evidence that fossil Scleractinia were aragonitic also. The mineralogic difference is almost certainly due to intrinsic biologic factors.(3) No early Triassic corals of either group are known. This fact is not compelling (by itself) but is important in connection with points 1 and 2, because, given direct descent, both changes took place during this only stage in the history of the two groups in which there are no known corals.

Echinodermata is a phylum of marine invertebrates which has been extant since Cambrian time (c.a. 500 m.y. before the present). Modern examples of echinoderms include sea urchins, sea stars, and sea lilies (crinoids). The endoskeletons of echinoderms are composed of plates or ossicles (Fig. 1) which are with few exceptions, porous, single crystals of high-magnesian calcite. Despite their single crystal nature, fracture surfaces do not exhibit the near-perfect {10.4} cleavage characteristic of inorganic calcite. This paradoxical mix of biogenic and inorganic features has prompted much recent work on echinoderm skeletal crystallography. Furthermore, fossil echinoderm hard parts comprise a volumetrically significant portion of some marine limestones sequences. The ultrastructural and microchemical characterization of modern skeletal material should lend insight into: 1). The nature of the biogenic processes involved, for example, the relationship of Mg heterogeneity to morphological and structural features in modern echinoderm material, and 2). The nature of the diagenetic changes undergone by their ancient, fossilized counterparts. In this study, high resolution TEM (HRTEM), high voltage TEM (HVTEM), and STEM microanalysis are used to characterize tha ultrastructural and microchemical composition of skeletal elements of the modern crinoid Neocrinus blakei.
