HighlightsThe Paku Uban (Nephrolepis biserrata) was identified and analyzedThe ability of paku uban to stimulated molting process of Scylla sp was analyzedThe paku uban (Nephrolepis biserrata) could increase the presentation of molting and accelerate molting processAbstractMud crab (Scylla spp.) is a fishery commodity with high economic value. For this reason, efforts to increase production are required with a more effective applicative technology. This study aims to determine the molting response and survival rate of mud crabs injected with paku uban leaf  extract (N. biserrata) at different doses. The study was conducted for 30 days, located in Tibi Island, Tanah Lia District, Tanah Tidung. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and eight replicates. Mud crabs weighing 80 - 150 g were tested in K1 (without injection), K2 (controlled injection), P1 (100 ppm extract), P2 (125 ppm extract) and P3 (150 ppm extract). The effectivity of paku uban (N. biserrata) extract with the highest percentage of molting of 50% took place at P3, 37.5% at P2, and 25% at P1. The lowest levels of molting percentage were at K1 and K2 by 0%. The fastest molting period was ten days at P2, and the longest was 29 days at P1. The highest weight growth reached 33.75 g at P3, followed by P2 and P1 with 31 and 18.75 g, respectively. The survival rate of mud crabs for all treatments reached 100%. The results of the analysis of variance indicated a significant bet effect (P < 0.05) on the molting and weight growth percentage. The BNT test suggested that a dose of 150 ppm was the optimum treatment.

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Hatchery dan Teknologi Budidaya Program Studi Budidaya Perairan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Malikussaleh, dimulai dari tanggal 10 Juni sampai dengan 9 Juni 2015. Ikan uji yang digunakan adalah benih ikan Koi yang berukuran 5 – 7 cm. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahu pengaruh media filter pada sistem resirkulasi air terhadap pemeliharaan ikan koi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non factorial dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. Pertambahan panjang terbesar terdapat pada filter arang yaitu 0,47 cm dan terkecil pada filter kijing yaitu 0,36 cm. Pertambahan berat terbesar terdapat pada filter kontrol yaitu 1,21 gram dan terkecil pada filter kijing yaitu 1 gram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media filter pada sistem resirkulasi air tidak berbeda nyata terhadap pertumbuhan, konversi pakan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan koi.This study was carried out at Hatchery and Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Aquaculture Department Agriculture Faculty Malikussaleh University started on June 10th to July 9th 2015. Experimented fish was goldfish fingerling which had length 5-7 cm.The purpose of this study was to know the effect of filter media on water recirculation system in raising goldfish. Experimental design used was non-factorial completely randomized design with four treatments and three replications. the highest length growth of goldfish was showed in charcoal filter which was 0, 47 cm while the lowest one was in kijing filter which was 0,36 cm. The highest weight growth of goldfish was obtained in control filter which was 1,21 grams and the lowest one was in clams (kijing) filter which was 1 gram. The result implied that filter media on water recirculation system did not give significant different on growth, food convertion ratio, and survival rate of gold fish.

The semah fish (Tor douronensis) is an Indonesian endemic fish that has a long growth, which takes 4 years to grow from larvae to broodstock. This study aims know of Daphnia sp. pelet fed with effective doses to increase the growth of semah’s fish larvae. The study was conducted from March 25 to April 13, 2020 at the Instalasi Riset Plasma Nutfah, Cijeruk, Bogor, West Java. The experimental design used completely randomized design (CRD) 4 treatments and 3 replications, namely treatment A (Daphnia sp.+pelet feed 0 gr/ L), treatment B (Daphnia sp.+ pelet feed 1 gr / L), treatment C (Daphnia sp. + pelet feed 2 gr / L), treatment D (Daphnia sp. + pelet feed 3 gr / L). The larvae of 9 days in age were randomly stocked into 12 aquariums measuring 60x30x35 cm with a density of 50 fish/aquarium and fed in the form of Daphnia sp. enriched pelet feed according to the treatment of 50 ind/larvae by giving 3 times a day which is maintained for 20 days. The test parameters measured are absolute growth in length and weight, survival rate, and water quality. Based on the results of statistical analysis (Anova), the results showed that the treatment D gave the highest influence on the growth of semah’s fish larvae (P <0.05) with an absolute weight growth value of 85,3 mg, absolute length growth of 10.6 mm, and survival rate 99.33%.

AbstrakUdang galah mengalami pertumbuhan setelah molting, untuk pengerasan kulit udang membutuhkan kalsium. Tulang ikan kambing-kambing mengandung banyak kalsium sehingga dapat mempercepat proses pengerasan kulit pada udang. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui penambahan kalsium tulang ikan kambing-kambing dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan frekuensi molting udang galah. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan penambahan resirkulasi sebagai media dalam pemeliharaan kualitas air yang perlakuannya sebanyak empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan yang terdiri dari A (0% CaO), B(1% CaO), C (2% CaO) dan D (3% CaO). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan kalsium berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup udang galah yaitu A 90%, B 95%, C 90% dan D 97.5% dan pertumbuhan berat harian pada masing-masing perlakuan yaitu A 1.76 g, B 1.72 g, C 1.60 g, dan D 1.86. Pertumbuhan panjang harian yaitu A 1.23 cm, B 1.26 cm, C 1.23 cm dan D 1.06 cm dengan frekuensi molting udang galah tertinggi yaitu C 0.75 kali/ekor, D 0.63 kali/ekor, A 0.59 kali/ekor dan yang terendah pada perlakuan B 0.45 kali/ekor.Kata kunci: kalsium; kelangsungan hidup; pertumbuhan; udang galahAbstractGiant shrimp growth after the molting process, for hardening shrimp shell requires calcium. Kambing-kambing fish bones contains lots of calcium so that they do accelerate the process of hardening the shell-on shrimp. This study was conducted to detect addition of kambing-kambing fish bone calcium get increase the growth and the molting frequency of giant shrimp. This study used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with additions recirculation system as media a medium in maintaining water quality with four treatments and three replications consist is A (0% CaO), B (1% CaO), C (2% CaO) and dan D (3% CaO). The results showed that real participation in the survival of giant prawns, namely A 90%, B 95%, C 90% dan D 97.5% and daily weight growth in each treatment that is A 1.76 g, B 1.72 g, C 1.60 g, and D 1.86. Daily long growth that is A 1.23 cm, B 1.26 cm, C 1.23 cm and D 1.06 cm by means of molting frequency of giant shrimp has the highest of C 0.75 times/tail, D 0.63 times/individual, A 0.59 times/ individual and the lowest is by treatment B 0.45 times/ individual.Keywords: calcium; survival rate; growth; giant prawn

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kinerja bakteri probiotik Bacillus spp. dan prebiotik molase dengan dosis berbeda terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan kinerja pertumbuhan ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Penelitian ini menggunakan motede eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dan melibatkan 5 perlakuan, yaitu kontrol (K), Bacillus spp. 10 ml/kg pakan (A); Bacillus spp. 10 ml/Kg pakan + molase 10 v/v (B); Bacillus spp. 20 ml/Kg pakan (C); dan Bacillus spp. 20 ml/Kg pakan + molase 10 v/v(D). Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan variasi untuk total bakteri, yaitu dari 2,24x108 hingga 3,78x108 CFU/ml. Demikian juga dengan total Bacillus spp. dari 1,07x106 hingga 2,02x107 CFU/ml. Adapun untuk pengamatan tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan laju pertumbuhan tidak menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan. Meski demikian, perlakuan D memiliki hasil yang relatif lebih baik dengan nilai SR dan LPH berturut-turut 96,67% dan 1,01 %/hari. Kata kunci : probiotik Bacillus spp., prebiotik molase,  total bakteri dan Bacillus spp., tingkat kelangsungan hidup, laju pertumbuhan harian  ABSTRACTThis study was aimed to determine the good combination of probiotic bacillus spp. and prebiotic molasses with different doses to survival rate and growth performance of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). this study has used experimental design with completely randomized design (CRD) and five treatment, i.e. Control (K), without probiotic and prebiotic; Bacillus spp. 10 ml/kg feed (A); Bacillus spp. 10 ml/Kg feed + molasses 10 v/v (B); Bacillus spp. 20 ml/Kg feed (C); dan Bacillus spp. 20 ml/Kg feed + molasses 10 v/v (D). The results showed variation for total bacteria and total Bacillus spp. The average of total bacteria obtained in this study ranged from 2,24x108 to 3.78x108 CFU/ml. Likewise, the total Bacillus spp. were obtained from 1.07x106 to 2.02x107 CFU/ml. While for survival rate (SR) and the growth rate (DGR) did not showed significant results. However, treatment D has a relatively better then treatment else with SR and DGR respectively 96.67% and 1.01%.day-1. Keywords : probiotic Bacillus spp., prebiotic molasses, total bacteria and Bacillus spp., survival rate, specific growth rate.

Vannamei shrimp is a fishery commodity that has important economic value for Indonesia. This is indicated by the increasing number and value of exports of this commodity. One of the efforts to encourage the production of vaname shrimp is through the use of probiotics. sanolife-MIC is a probiotic widely used in shrimp culture. The aim of the study was to analyze the feed profile and biological performance of Vaname PL 10 shrimp fed pellets with the Sanolife MIC-S probiotic capsule at different doses. The research method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments (A: probiotic 0 gr/kg feed; B: probiotic 10 gr/kg feed; C: probiotic 12 gr/kg feed; D: probiotic 14 g/kg feed) and three replicates. What was tested in the study were probiotic profile tests, growth, feed efficiency and feed conversion. The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA. The results showed that the feed profile that was encapsulated using sanolife MIC-S, the protein value, moisture content and ash content for the feed were shown by treatment B. The best fat content was treatment C. The best crude fiber content was treatment D. Weight growth rate, ratio The best feed conversion and feed efficiency was shown by treatment B, while the length growth and survival was indicated by treatment C.

This study aims to determine the effect of different doses of booster grotop in feed on the growth and survival of Asian Redtail (Hemibagrus nemurus) maintained in peat swamp media. This research was conducted from 27 March - 05 May 2020 at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The container used was an aquarium measuring 60 cm x 40 cm x 40 cm as many as 15 units with a stocking density of 12 fish/60 L. This study used a completely randomized design method (CRD) one factor with five levels of treatment and three repetitions. The level of treatment applied in the study was P0 = without giving Boster Grotop (Control), P1 = dose of Boster Grotop 25 g/kg of feed, P2 = dose of Boster Grotop 30 g/kg of feed. P3 = dose of Boster Grotop 35 g/kg of feed and P4 = dose of Boster Grotop 40 g/kg of feed. The results showed that giving boster grotop with different doses in the feed had a significant effect (P<0.05) on growth but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the survival rate of the Asian Redtail seeds. The best treatment was found at a boster grotop dose of 40 g/kg of feed, which produced protease enzyme activity (0.1731 IU/mL), total weight growth (5.11 g), total length growth (3.73 cm), specific growth rate (3.67%), feed efficiency (72.30%), feed conversion (1.38), survival rate (86.11%).

The tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) is an economically important fish whose fry still relies on natural catches. Several species of grouper are very potential to be cultivated because of their fast growth, efficient feed conversion, and high selling value. The purpose of this study is growth performance and survival rate tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) used different live feed. The research design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design with 3 treatments 3 replications and continued with LSD test if there were differences. The treatments given are treatment A (Snail), treatment B (Chicken Intestine), and treatment C (Caterpillar Maggot). Parameters observed were length increase, weight gain, survival, feed response, and water quality. The results of this study indicate that the highest increase was found in the treatment of C: 4,04 cm and the lowest was in treatment B: 3 cm, the highest weight gain was found in the treatment of C: 3,73 grams, and the lowest was in treatment B: 2,18 grams. The survival rate for all treatments is 100%. During this study the temperature ranged (28.6-31.8 oC), pH (6.7-8.2), DO (6.3-8.1 ppm), and salinity (23-27 ppt).Keywords: growth, live feed, survival rate, tiger grouper.

The immotilization technique of cantang grouper (Epinephelus sp.) Using Datura metel L. leaf extract. The purpose of this study was to find the best concentration at onset time of Datura metel L. leaves as anesthetic agent for grouper (Epinephelus sp.) And its survival rate. The results of the study, using extracts of natural anesthetic ingredients of amethyst leaves with concentrations of 20%, 25%, and 30% had different effects (P <0.05) on the onset time and recovery of grouper fish. In this study, it provides a life passing rate of 100% at concentrate 20%, and 25%, while concentrate 30% has a 66.67% survival rate. The best concentration in this study was concentrate 30%, with an onset time of 32.07 minutes with a recovery time of 9.07 minutes. This study used a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD).

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the addition of pumpkin flour (C. moschata D.) and papaya flour (C.  papaya) to feed to increase the brightness of the  gold fish (C. auratus) color. The method used is an experimental method with a completely randomized design, consisting of four treatments and three replications of P0 0% (Control), P1 10% , P2 20%, P3 30%. Research parameters include carotenoid analysis, hunter’s color test, absolute weight growth, absolute specific growth, absolute length growth , FCR, EPP, survival rate and water quality. The results showed that the addition of a mixture of pumpkin flour and papaya flour in the goldfish can affect the value of feed conversion, feed afficiency, survival rate, carotenoid content and the brightness of the goldfish color on the value of a* (redness), b* (yellowness) and Huebut it does not affect the value of L* (lightness) and the growth of the goldfish

Giant Prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) or freshwater prawn is also one of the crustaceans, which has the largest size compared to other freshwater prawns, in addition to giant prawns have a high economic value. The obstacle to the giant prawn's cultivation is determining the combination of natural and artificial feeding for giant prawns to improve molting quickly and increasing the growth of giant prawns. The method used was the experimental method, Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with five treatments: P1 (100 % Pellet), P2 (25 % Tubifex + 75 % Pellet), P3 (75 % Tubifex + 25 % Pellet), P5 (100 % Tubifex) and 3 replications. The data were analyzed using diversity analysis (ANOVA), and if there were differences it could be continued with the BNT test. The results showed that The Influence of Tubifex sp and Natural Feeding Percentage And Artificial Feeding On Moulting Acceleration And Growing Giant Prawns/Crawfish (Macrobrachium Rosenbergii) Stadia V greatly influenced the molting of giant prawns. The water quality during the study ranged from 23˚C-29˚C, dissolved oxygen 3,6-8,7 mg/l, and pH ranged from 7.3 to 8.9. The conclusions from the 30-days of study obtained the highest results for molting on the second treatment (P2) was 0.43, while the fourth treatment (P4) was the best combination in weight growth with a value 6390,42 mg, and long growth showed that the fourth treatment (P4) also gave the highest result which is 406.75 mg.
