AbstractThe aim of this study was to monitor water quality in vaname culture pond and compare the application of different rearing culture system and feeding variations. Four ponds culture were used as vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) growth place. Measured parameters include physical and chemical factors such as temperature, brightness, pH, DO, salinity, ammonia, and alkalinity, while growth shrimp performance showed by SGR, SR and FCR. The research result of the water quality parameters show an adequate range values for all of the ponds and good enough for shrimp growth, and especially an optimum range value presented in pond three and four. Survival rate (SR) both pond 3 and 4 exhibit a good presentation that is more than 80%, whereas pond 1 and 2 were just less than 70% of SR value. The specific growth rate (SGR) presents also a good presentation in Pond 3 and 4 rather than pond 1 and 2. Based on the feed consumption, pond 1 and 2 show high FCR that is more than 1.7 while pond 3 and 4 present smaller FCR value which is less than 1.7. Finally, it could be concluded that application of floc in culture rearing system of pond 3 and 4 increase water quality and production value than pond 1 and 2.

The present study evaluated the effects of stocking density on water quality parameters, growth performance and survival rate of white leg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei, reared in fiberglass tanks, without water exchange. Three stocking densities (50, 100 and 200 shrimp/m2) were tested. Each treatment consisted of three replicates fiberglass tanks (500 L). The shrimp were fed ad libitum four times per day with a commercial pellet (40-42% protein). After an 8-week trial, concentrations of nutrients in the culture tanks showed an increasing linear relationship with increasing stocking density. The growth performance of shrimp in low stocking densities was significantly greater than that in high stocking densities. The results from this study demonstrate that with increasing the stocking density the production of shrimp increased but in a low final weight and survival compared to low stocking density.

Catfish (Pangasius sp.) is a dominant consumption fish and it is targeted that production will be increase every year. Catfish have a low feed efficiency value which is causes the growth of catfish to be less optimal, so it is necessary to add ingredient into the diets so that the fish are interested in eating the diets given. The use of earthworm meal as an attractant was expected to increase of feed consumption, feed efficiency and growth of catfish. This experiment aimed to study the effect of dietary earthworm meal as an attractant on feed consumption level, feed efficiency and growth of catfish (Pangasius sp.). The catfish used with an initial average body weight of 6,78±0,68 g/fish. The fishes were cultured in the aquarium for 42 days with the stocking dencity of 1 fish/2L. The experimental method used was completely randomize design (RCD) with 4 treatments and 3 replicates.  The treatments were addition of earthworm meal (Lumbricus sp.) as an attractant with a dose of 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% in the diets. The data showed that  the use of earthworm meal (Lumbricus sp.) inclusion in the diets resulted in significant effects (P <0,05) on feed consumption  (159,73 g), FE (81.06%), PER (2,31%), G (9,76 g) and SGR (1,97%/day) but not significant effect (P>0,05) on survival rate (84.44-93,33%). The best food preference test in treatment C dose 10% of earthworm meal with percentage 44% fish approaching diets. The water quality parameters during this study varied between suitable range for the catfish (Pangasius sp.) life, i.e temperatures 27,70-30,900C; pH 7,00; DO 5,37-5,52 mg/L and NH3 0,0036-0,0095 mg/L. It was concluded  that catfish (Pangasius sp.) fed with the diet containing 10% attractants of earthworm meal resulted in better feed consumption, feed efficiency and growth.

FCR or feed conversion ratio is one of the strategic indicators on pond production which is very important for determining the costs incurred during the shrimp culture period. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between water physico-chemical parameters and the conversion rate of shrimp feed in intensive shrimp ponds (Litopenaeus vannamei). The research method used in this study is the ex-pose facto design during shrimp culture cycle with uniformity of treatment during the cultivation process, then the research collective data obtained periodically is analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that all pond water quality variables based on quality standards are still in accordance with the standards intended for aquaculture. While based on regression analysis and t-test, the temperature variable is the only parameter that has a direct influence on the FCR efficiency by shrimp. As well as temperature, salinity, and alkalinity variables are parameters that have a close level of relationship to the FCR value in the ponds of 84.1%, 79.1%, and 69.9%. The conclusion of this study is that in intensive ponds the parameters of temperature, salinity, and alkalinity are water quality parameters that have a close relationship with the efficiency of FCR values in ponds, with temperature parameters being the water quality variable which has a direct influence on the effectiveness of the feed conversion ratio by shrimp.

Vannamei shrimp species look for lunch and dinner. These properties need to be known related to the amount of feed and frequency of feeding to be given. Because wasted feed is expensive and can reduce water quality, optimizing feeding practices is an important issue in shrimp culture management. The use of some ANCOs is intended to monitor feed consumption and estimate feed adjustments. So it is necessary to conduct research on the growth and graduation of vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus Vannamei) with the feeding tray (ANCO) system in Av 8 Lim Shrimp Organization (LSO) in Sumbawa Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive method, namely research based on reality and the facts of the situation as it is. The results showed that the amount of feed every week or sampling is always different, this is because the amount of feed adjusted to the addition of shrimp growth every sampling. Addition and reduction of feeding is adjusted to the results of checking feed consumption on ANCO, adding the amount of feeding is done if when checking ANCO there is no feed left. Reduction in the number of gifts is done if when checking ANCO still left feed. In the 8th sampling the amount of feed decreased to 38 kg, this was due to the first partial harvest. In the 10th sampling is the lowest amount of feeding which is 30 kg, this is due to the second partial harvest, but in the 11th sampling the number of feeding again increased so that the shrimp could grow to its maximum potential during panentotal.

Gracilaria sp is red alga which belong to class rhodophyceae. It can grow in shallow salt water with a general characteristic is having a cylindrical and branched thallus form. Seaweed cultivation can be performed through IMTA (Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture) method. The basic principle of cultivation through the IMTA method is utilizing service of the low thropic level species in marine ecosystems, such as shells and seaweed.  This method is believed to be able to overcome the environmental problems caused by cultivation activities, such as feces and uneaten feed. This research was perfomed 45 days, from February 25 to April 11, 2017. It was held at Geger Beach, Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, using a complete randomized design method that consist of three treatments and three repetition for each treatment. Treatment control (T1) consisted of 10 bunches of seaweed 100 grams without the abalone, treatement 2 (T2) consisted of 10 bunches of seaweed 100 grams and 20 abalones and treatement 3 (T3) consisted of 10 bunches of seaweed 100 grams and 40 abalones. The result showed that specific growth rate in Gracilaria sp.  was highest in treatment T1, compared to treatment T2 and T3. This was caused by the cage construction of abalone amd the present of small mesh size net to cover the seaweed  planting, which made the growth was not optimal.  However, the use of a nets system in seaweed cultivation could minimize the loss of thallus. It was proved by the survival rate of seaweed in first, second and third, that is averagely high, ranging from 90% to 100%. Physical and chemical water quality parameters are also measured, and It showed that the water quality was suitable for the cultivation of both, seaweed and abalone.
