Background: The Impementation of occupational safety and health at home industry in Ponorogo is not yet optimal, one of them is rice milling industry which produces rice dust during the production process. Dust levels that exceeds the threshold limit value may cause respiratory disoder complaints. The use of masks that conform with standard is one of way to reduce dust exposure to workers. The objective of this research is to analyze the dust level and masks usage behavior on respiratory disorder complaints of rice milling workers in Gegeran Village, Sukorejo, Ponorogo. Methods: This research used the observational analytical method with the cross-sectional design. Its population was 23 workers. The samples of research were taken by using the total sampling technique. Measurement of dust level used high volume sampler. Measurement of masks usage behavior and respiratory disorder complaints used questionnaire.  Data analysis used Lambda test in SPSS program version 24. Result: Dust levels of rice milling indoor and outdoor exceeds the threshold limit values, each of them is 598,3 mg/m3 and 11,08 mg/m3. Score of use mask behavior is 72,5%. Rice milling workers that have respiratory disorder complaints is 19 workers (83%). The result of Lambda test shows that there is no significant correlation between dust levels and masks usage behavior with respiratory disorder complaints. Conclusion: Dust levels and masks usage behavior has no significant correlation to respiratory disorder complaints of rice milling workers in Gegeran Village, Sukorejo, Ponorogo.

Respiratory disorders are health problems that are often suffered by workers who are in the work environment or types of work that are at risk of being exposed to high levels of dust. This study aimed to determine the risk factors for respiratory disorders symptomps on workers of Sikatak bridge construction project workers. This research was an observational analytic study using a cross sectional approach in October to December 2019. Samples in this study were taken from all population as many as 50 people with a total sampling technique, total sampling is a sampling technique where the number of samples is equal to the population. Statistical test results found that there was a significant association between duration of exposure (p = 0.042; PR = 1.565; 95% CI = 1,040-2,354) to the incidence of symptomps of respiratory disorders on workers of Sikatak bridge construction project. Based on this study it can be concluded that symptomps of respiratory disorders have a proportion of respiratory disorders symptoms 1.565 times greater when working more than 8 hours per day. To avoid the risk of respiratory disorders, it can be done by regulating lifestyle, reducing smoking and using personal protective equipment.

Wood dust in the air will bring serious health problems if it is prolonged. Wood Dust has effect for health due to  its effect on , pulmonary function via respiratory system entrance. The aim of this study was to analyze the  association of worker characteristics and dust exposure to pulmonary function status in jumping saw division workers in wood industry Sempu, Banyuwangi. The research was observasional with cross sectional desain. Research data was obtained by giving questionnaire to respondent, measurement of dust level by using HVAS and lung physiology examination using spirometry tool. The sampel in this research was 7 workers in the part of jumping saw and 6 worker in the part of office. Data were analyzed with chi square statistical test  to analyzing the association and statistical t-test to analyzing difference  pulmonary function status between to 2 groups. The result showed that dust level in the exposure groups of jumping saw workers was 19,90 mg/m3 and non-exposure group  (office) was 0,089 mg/m3, suitable with Permenakertrans No. 13/MEN/X/2011 is 5 mg/m3. Results of lung function measurement showed that normal 15,38% and impairment 84,62%. It is concluded that no associoation between age, length of employment, smoking habit, respiratory ptotective equipment usage habit, respiratory diseases history and  dust exposure to pulmonary function status, except association between nutrion status with pulmonary function status. The company should monitor the levels of wood dust, to ensure that it does not exceed the NAB and regular lung physiological health checks.

Ultrasound is often the imaging modality of choice in patients with acute right iliac fossa pain.  Right iliac fossa pain remains the commonest clinical dilemma encountered by general surgeons. The management of acute right iliac fossa pain is audited, examining the relationship between symptom duration, use of pre-operative radiological imaging and patient outcome. Objective: To determine the diagnostic role of ultrasonography in Right Iliac Fossa pathologies. Methods: A cross sectional descriptive study was carried out at the Department of Radiology in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore, Pakistan. Duration of study was from March 2018 to November 2018. 85 patients with Right Iliac Fossa pain selected through convenient sampling technique. Statistical software for social sciences (SPSS version 22.0) is used for the analysis of data. Conclusion: The results in the study reflect findings from high volume emergency surgical departments and patients of pain in right iliac fossa demonstrating that unfocussed abdominal and pelvic ultrasounds are not an appropriate use of resources in patients with Right iliac fossa pain. ABSTRACTDust exposure in the working environment is a potential factor to cause lung function disorders. Lung function disorders such as restriction, obstruction, and mixed-type which is indicated by decreasing % FEV and % FVC. Overhaul power plant workers have high risk dust exposure in the working environment as impact of the process overhaul power plant machine. Dust from overhaul work can entry to the respiratory tract of the workers through inhalation. The purpose was to analyze the relationship of total dust exposure and exposure time with lung function disorder among overhaul power plant workers in PT. PJB Unit Pelayanan Pemeliharaan Wilayah Timur. This research was an observational analytical study with cross sectional design. The sample size was 32 which were taken by simple random sampling technique. Relationship between dust exposure and exposure time with lung function disorders was analyzed statistically by using Chi Square Test (χ2). The study found that only dust exposure was significantly relationship with lung function disorders (p = 0.006 < α = 0.05) and the most prevalence of lung function disorders was mixed-type lung function impairment. It is recommended that the company provide Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) at the sources of contaminant (dust) and reduce the exposure time.Keywords: dust exposure, exposure time, lung function disorders, overhaul

UD. Kartika Jasa is a home wood processing industry. In addition to providing product, it also creates negative impact of generating dust that in production process, the labors are at risk of exposure to dust. In an amount that exceeds TLV, dust can cause health problem for workers, one of which is respiratory disorder complaint. The purpose of this study was to determine relationship between level of inhaled dust with respiratory disorders complaint. This research is Cross Sectional analytical research with 20 workers as samples. Method af data collection was carried out by observation of inhaled dust. Data analysis used Fisher’s exact test. From the result of inhaled dust level measurement, it is found out that most of the labor force were not eligible (55.0%) with severe respiratory disorders complaint (70.0%). Most of the labor force aged > 30 years (60.0%), length of labor < 10 years (55.0%), had smoking habit (75.0%) did not have habit of wearing PPE at all (65.0%). In inhaled dust level variable, age, years of smoking habit and the habit of wearing PPE affected respiratory disorder complaint experienced by workforce with ρ < 0,05. The research concludes that there was a relationship between the level of inhaled dust and respiratory disorder complaint on labor. Effort to control technically, administratively, and the use of PPE in the workplace is required.Keywords : Dust Concetration, respiratory disorders

Abstract Purpose of the study: This research is conducted on the digital marketing industry flourished by digitalized corporations, based on their websites and different social media channels. In this study, we tried to determine the behavior of digitalized corporations in the context of price fairness and customer perceived quality. We also examined the trust of the digitalized corporations, satisfaction, and loyalty with the online portals. Methodology: This study uses cross-sectional data of CEOs and other authorities of digitalized corporations. SPSS version 22 and AMOS version 21 are used for data analysis. Data is collected by distributing 400 questionnaires for this quantitative study. The convenience sampling technique is used for data collection. Main Findings: After analyzing the collected data, we found that price fairness is a more favorable factor than customer perceived quality. Trust and customer satisfaction are also important factors to generate loyalty. If online portals make their policies friendly for the digitalized corporations in pricing, they can get many customers on their platform. Hence, they can get a high volume of business opportunities. Novelty/Originality of the study: The previous research regarding social media is generally based on consumers’ behavior in favor of digitalized corporations, while we examined digitalized corporations' behavior regarding digital marketing techniques in the Pakistani context. The relationship between online portals and digitalized corporations was investigated. Applications of the study: This study is significant for the digitalized corporations in observing the fair dealing of online portals in the context of perceived quality and fair pricing. Then digitalized corporations develop trust with these portals and finally become loyal. This study recommends online portals focus on their pricing policies to enhance customer satisfaction.

Impacts of dust exposure may disturb working enjoymeny and in longer priod may causedisturbances on respiratory passages and pulmonary functions. In addition to dust exposure,respiratory complaints may be caused by other factors relating to the workers, such as age,length of occupation that may explain how long was a worker was exposed to dust, smokinghabit and their habit in wearing protective masks to protect their respiration. The purposes ofthis research was to describe level of dust concentration and complaints relating to workers'respiration. The study also engaged in the assessment of controlling efforts that includetechnical, administrative controls and the use self-protective devicesThis was a descriptive study using a cross sectional approach. Data collection was doneby observation, interviews and measurements. Population under study was the entire workerswho worked at warehouses and raw material sorting division. The number of the sample wasthe total of population of workers that amounted to 30 workers. Data were analyzeddescriptively using cross tabulation which explained the object under study.Result of the study indicated that the dust level measured from 30 samples was incompliance to the TLV (57%) that was 0.15 mg/m3 • Most of workers (63%) aged ~ 40 yearsold. Most of workers (63%) have smoking habit. Most of worker (93%) did not wear maskswhile working. Most of the workers (60%) have moderate complaint. The efforts in controllingthe issue was not satisfactory. Respiration complaints more likely associated to length ofoccupation, smoking habit, and utilization of protective masks.The study suggested to install Local Exhaust Ventilation to reduce dust level in theworkplace; the company was encouraged to make cooperation with related institutions inconducting OSH or K3 training, and the company should give rigid penalties against workerswho wear their PPD reluctantly.Keywords : Dust level, respiration complaint, Hobab Perkasa

BACKGROUND: Limestone dust is produced by limestone mining activities, one of them is PM2.5. Exposure of PM2.5 can cause lung function impairment. AIM: The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation exposure of PM2.5 with lung function impairment in workers. METHODS: This study used a cross-sectional study with total sampling technique of 30 workers. The instruments in this study used questionnaires for interviews, Dusttrak II TSI to measure PM2.5 concentration and spirometry to measure lung function. RESULTS: Based on the results of the study, the highest PM2.5 concentration values were 987 μg/m3 and the lowest were 14 μg/m3. The results of the analysis using Chi-square obtained a correlation between the use of personal protective equipment with lung function impairment (p = 0.000). Furthermore, the results using the Fisher’s exact test, there was a correlation between PM2.5 concentration and pulmonary function impairment (p = 0.002) and years of work with pulmonary function impairment (p = 0.000). CONCLUSION: Further research is needed using environmental health risk analysis to estimates based on intake.

Abstrak Tujuh puluh persen pencemaran udara berasal dari emisi kendaraan bermotor. Efek dari emisi kendaraan bermotor dapat mengganggu fungsi paru-paru salah satunya petugas SPBU. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua SPBU yang berada di ruas jalan dengan volume kendaraan tertinggi pada tahun 2018 yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara faktor individu, paparan debu, dan CO dengan gambaran faal paru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 34 petugas SPBU dengan teknik total sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-square dan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil menunjukkan ada hubungan antara jenis kelamin (p=0,035), masa kerja (p=0,017), dan kebiasaan merokok (p=0,023) dengan gambaran faal paru. Sedangkan, variabel umur, lama paparan, penggunaan APD, status gizi, riwayat penyakit, paparan debu, dan CO tidak berhubungan dengan gambaran faal paru. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu jenis kelamin, masa kerja, dan kebiasaan merokok berhubungan dengan gambaran faal paru pada petugas SPBU. Disarankan untuk menggunakan APD ketika bekerja serta mengurangi perilaku merokok.   Abstract Seventy percent of air pollutions comes from motor vehicle emissions. The effects of the emissions can interfere the lung function, especially for the gas station officers. This study was conducted at two gas station located in road with highest vehicle volume in 2018 which to know the relation between individual factor, dust exposure, and CO with the lung function. The type of this study was analytic observational with cross sectional design. The sample was 34 gas station officers with total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Chi-square and Mann Whitney test. The results showed there were related between sex (p = 0,035), length of work (p = 0,017), and smoking habit (p = 0,023) with lung function. Age, long exposure, usage of personal safety, nutritional status, history of disease, dust exposure, and CO not related with lung function. The conclusions were gender, length of work, and smoking habits related with the lung function at the gas station officer. It’s recommended to use personal safety when working and reduce smoking behavior.

ABSTRACTFurniture industry is one of growing industry in Indonesia which has rapid growth. The process of its production brings one complex problem; wood dust. Workers who engage in the production process will have problem with their lung which can lead problem into their respiratory system. It is caused by the wood dust that mixed into oxygen they breath. Furthermore, if this condition happens in long period, it become a serious problem; impairment of vital pulmonary capacity. Besides, the impairment of vital pulmonary capacity can occur due to workers characteristics or conditions such as age, working history, working period, shelf period, illness history, smoking habit, diet, exercise, and the wearing of APD. The purpose of this research was to find out the relation between workers characteristics and personal dust level within vital capacity of lung. This research used cross sectional design with 17 respondents which was took by simple random sampling technique. This research took place at furniture industry X in Tubanan, Tandes, Surabaya, started from April to May 2018. Data was analysed using chi-square test and independent t-test with accuracy up to 95%. Data was collected through interview, observation, and measurement. The result of this research showed that there was correlation between working period, shelf period, and smoking habit within vital pulmonary capacity. The conclusion of this research was that working period, shelf period, smoking habit had important role to workers vital pulmonary capacity in furniture industry.Keywords: worker characteristics, wood dust, vital capacity of lung, furniture industry
