This research aims to determine the differences in the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model toward science process skills and physics acquisition of students. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental research design with posttest-only involving 64 students as samples. The research sample was chosen based on a purposive sampling technique. Instruments for measuring science process skills in the way of process skills assessment sheets and physics concept acquisition in the form of multiple-choice tests. Data analysis used is two-way ANOVA. The results showed that there were differences in science process skills between students who learned using the POGIL model and students who learned using the direct instruction model with a value of F=10.207 (p>0.05). There were differences in the mastery of concepts between students learning using the POGIL model and students who learned using a direct instruction model with F=17.771 (p>0.05) There is an interaction between the POGIL model and science process skills towards mastery of concepts with a value of F= 5.660 (p>0.05).

The low level of science process skills and mastery of concepts that exist today, becomes the urgency of this research. in this study, the type of research used was quasi-experimental research using two learning classes as research samples with different treatments. The sample is divided into experimental class and control class with simple random sampling technique. The analysis showed that there were significant differences in the experimental class with media use audiovisual in the guided inquiry model with the average value of science process skills and mastery of concepts is higher than the control class.</p><p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media audiovisual pada model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Rendahnya keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep saat ini, menjadi urgensi penelitian ini. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan dua kelas belajar sebagai sampel penelitian dengan perlakuan yang berbeda. Sampel tersebut dibedakan menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan <em>simple random sampling</em>. Hasil kajian menghasilkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dengan penggunaan media audiovisual pada model inkuiri terbimbing dengan nilai rata-rata Keterampilan Proses Sains dan penguasan konsep lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>

This research uses factorial design 2 x 2. The sample in this research is thestudents of IKIP Kimia Mataram Chemistry study program that follow theBasic Chemistry 2 course in the even semester of academic year 2013/2014with 2 homogenously distributed classes. The sample was taken by clusterrandom sampling technique. One class consists of 21 students who weretaught inquiry led by using computer simulation and other class consists of 22students with guided Inquiry. The research data are low learning result andhigh level learning result on chemical equilibrium material measured by usingtest instrument choice and essay test with content validation each 80,6% and91,7%. The measurement of the reliability of questions was obtained fromCronbach's Alpha formula with a value of 0.73 for multiple choice tests and0.914 for the essay test. Data analysis using ANOVA Two Ways test. Theresult of the research shows that: (1) Low learning result of under guidedclass students in using computer simulation is higher than guided inquiryclass without computer simulation; (2) Higher student learning result inguided inquiry class using computer simulation higher than guided inquiryclass without computer simulation. So it can be concluded that guided inquirylearning using computer learning can student improve learning outcomes inchemical equilibrium material.

This study aims to determine the effect of Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring (REACT) learning strategies on students' science process skills. This research was carried out in SMA Negeri 11 Bekasi City from April to May 2017. The method used in this study was Quasi Experiment, with the Posttest Only Control Design research design. The target population is all students of class X MIA totaling 240 students. The sampling technique used Cluster Random Sampling, and obtained the X MIA 2 class as the experimental class and X MIA 3 class as the control class. Data collection is done by using multiple choice tests to measure 9 indicators of student science process skills. Hypothesis testing using the t test at a significance level α = 1%, obtained tcount = 3.06> t0.99 = 2.38, which means that H0 is rejected, so there is a very significant effect on both groups. So, it can be concluded that the use of REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) learning strategies has an effect on students' science process skills.

Abstract The GI-GI learning model is a combination of the Group Investigation and the Guided Inquiry model. The research aimed to examine the effect of the GI-GI learning model on collaboration and students’ science process skills. The type of research carried out was Quasi-Experimental and used a post-test only control group design and purposive sampling covering four high schools in the Besuki Residency, two classes as the experimental class and the control class. The research instrument used tests, observations, and documentation. The results showed a significant effect of the GI-GI learning model on collaboration and students’ science process skills. This research implies that the GI-GI learning model can condition students to research in groups to interact actively with friends and educators to exchange opinions, knowledge, or experiences, find and solve problems, and hypothesize through investigation, exploration, and discussion outside or inside in class.

This study aims to determine the effect of classroom discussion learning model using Socratic seminar method to the student’s learning result in the heat topic of second semester X Class of SMA Negeri 8 Medan T.P 2013/2014. This research is quasi experimental with research design is Two Group Pretes-Postes Design. The  population in this research was all students in class X which consists of 12 classes and the totaled is 343 students. Class X-8 and X-7 were chosen as an experimental class and control class with random sampling technique. Instrument learning results were contain of multiple-choice tests and observation sheet of student activity in the classroom. Average data of pre-test experimental class and control class are 44,33 and 40,33. In both classes, the pretest data are normally distributed and homogeneous. The ability of students at the beginning of both classes are same as analyzed by t-test. After treatment,the data of learning achievement using posttest, shows average yield of experimental class and control class are 70,17 and 56,50, which are normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on t-test, Ha was accepted and reveal that there is significant influence of classroom discussion learning model using Socratic Seminar method to the student learning outcomes. Keywords   :           classroom discussion, Socratic seminar, quasi experiment, learning results

The research aimed to analyze the effect of the direct instruction model assisted by audio media on listening skills. Theexperimental method was used using a quasi-experimental design. Participants were a fifth-grade students in the elementary school at Pontianak. Data collected used paper-based tests in the form of multiple-choice tests. The results show that the average posttest for the experimental group is 77,08. The average posttest for the control group is 70,96. T-test results are 2,217 and t-table α = 5% (with dk = 24 + 26 - 2 = 48) of 1,678, so t-count (2,217)> t-table (1,678). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the audio learning model-assisted directly by audio media on listening skills on folklore. Besides that, the direct instruction model assisted by audio media has a good influence on listening skills, especially for fifth-grade students.

The success of students in dealing with the globalization era of scientific literacy needs to be supported by practising skills, one of the skills that must be mastered by students in the science process skills and scientific questioning skills. This study aims to determine the implementation of the question webs based learning model of learning to improve science process skills and scientific questioning skills in grade X students at SMAN 1 Darul Imarah using a quasi-experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique which was then divided into experimental and control groups. The data were collected from pretest and posttest scores which were then tested based on N-gain values. The results showed that the score of science process skills and scientific questioning skills of experimental class students obtained higher mean scores than control class mean scores. Statistically, it can be seen that testing the results of tests using the t-test 4.507 for science process skills and 29.79 for scientific questioning skills with a significant difference. The conclusion of this study shows that the question web-based learning model improve science process skills and scientific questioning skills compared to conventional models.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar pada konsep momentum dan impuls antara siswa yang diajar dengan model Quantum Learning dan siswa yang diajarkan dengan model Direct Instruction. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling, kelas X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengambilan data penelitian dengan menggunakan tes pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar berupa soal uraian pada konsep momentum dan impuls. Analisis data menggunakan Uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep dengan model Quantum Learning dengan rata-rata 80,45 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction dengan rata-rata 60,12 dan t hitung pemahaman konsep 9,71 yang lebih besar dari t tabel yaitu 1,67155 dan hasil belajar dengan model Quantum Learning menggunakan nilai rata-ratanya 80,61 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata 57,29 dengan t hitung  hasil belajar 8.68 yang lebih besar dari t tabel pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar model Quantum Learning dengan model Direct Instruction sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh model Quantum Learning terhadap pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X. Kata Kunci: Quantum Learning, Pemahaman Konsep, Hasil Belajar ABSTRACT This research was to determine if there is or not an effect of understanding concepts and learning outcomes on the concepts of momentum and impulses between students taught with Quantum Learning Model and students taught with the Direct Instruction Model. Retrieval of research data used tests of understanding concepts and learning outcomes in the form of questions describing the concepts of momentum and impulses. Data analysis used t-test. The results showed that understanding the concept with the Quantum Learning Model with an average of 80.45 was higher than that of students who took part in the Direct Instruction Model with an average of 60.12 and t calculated the understanding of the concept of 9.71 which was greater than ttable namely 1.67155 and learning outcomes with the Quantum Learning Model with an average value of 80.61 higher than the control class with an average of 57.29. Value of tcalculated of learning outcomes was 8.68 which greater than ttable at the confidence level of 95%. The results showed that there were differences in the understanding of the concepts and learning outcomes of the Quantum Learning model and the Direct Instruction model which meant that there was an effect of Quantum Learning Model on understanding of concepts and learning outcomes of tenth grade students. Keywords: Quantum Learning, Understanding of Concepts, Learning Outcomes

This research is motivated by the science process skills of students who are still low. Factors causing low science process skills are mastery of students' concepts of subject matter is still low. The purpose of this study is 1) to describe the feasibility of learning by implementing guided inquiry model based on visual cartoon media on science process skills and mastery of the concept of environmental pollution, 2) to obtain data on guided inquiry model based on visual cartoon media can improve environmental pollution science process skills, 3) to find out the implementation of guided inquiry model based on visual cartoon media can improve mastery of the concept of environmental pollution, 4) to uncover student responses by implementing guided inquiry model based on visual cartoon media on science process skills and mastery of the concept of environmental pollution. The method used in this study is a mixed method (mixed methods research design). The sampling technique using cluster random sampling was obtained by 2 classes, each of which amounted to 40 students for the experimental class and 40 students for the control class. The research instrument used was task and rubric science process skills, mastery concept essay tests, student response questionnaires to learning and observation sheets of teacher and student activities. The data analysis technique used is the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. Based on the results of the analysis of the hypothesis test shows the value of t = 4.476 with Sig. 0.001 <0.05 means that the implementation of guided inquiry model based on visual cartoon media can improve students' science process skills in the concept of environmental pollution. Based on the results of the test analysis shows the value t = 8.486 with Sig. 0.001 < 0.05 means that the implementation of the guided inquiry model based on visual cartoon media can improve the mastery of the concept of environmental pollution.

One of alternative way to improve science process skills and student creativity is by using guided inquiry learning model. Improvement science process skills research and student creativity in the excretion system material concept was carried out in� SMP Negeri 1 Cigandamekar. This research was carried out by quasi-experimental method. The research was conducted on the eighth grade students of junior high school. The research� used two classes, there are class VIIIA as control and VIIIB as experimental classes. In control class� the learning process is carried out by conventional methods namely lectures and information discussions. While in the learning experimental class using guided inquiry models with discussion learning methods.The result shows that studied with guided inquiry models is increasing value of 96 % from learning I to learning II. The students who studied using guided inquiry learning models have higher values of science process skills than the control classes that using conventional learning models. This is proved by the average value of N-Gain in the assessment of science process skills in the experimental class which is 0.35 while in the control class the value of N-Gain is 0.23. The average value of science process skills in the control class was 53,48 and in the experimental class the value was 64,33. There is increasing value of students' science process skills after learning with a guided inquiry model of 10.22% The average value of creativity in the control class was 62.96 and in the experimental class the value was 83.28. And there is increasing in the value of students' creativity with indicators of fluency, flexibility, elaboration and originality with a cumulative value of 24.39%.
