The primary aim of this research is to develop an effective network interaction model in developing a new teacher’s soft skills. The authors carried out an analysis of a new teacher’s necessary soft skills and the existing models of partnerships. They outlined their views on the development of a networking model that is aimed at the systematic formation of a teacher’s soft skills. The empirical part is executed based on the Elabuga Institute of the Kazan Federal University. The created model can be used for the organisation of training system of a new type of teacher. It might as well be used as a model of the school-university partnership for revealing pedagogically gifted children or as an integrated model for the formation of basic teachers’ soft skills in the university.

The article is devoted to the actual problem of psychological and pedagogical support of gifted children in the educational space. The existing system of work on the development of personality giftedness is discussed. The importance of innovation in the development of gifted children in the region is emphasized. Emphasis is placed on significant differences in economic, educational, socio*cultural resources and the activities of municipalities on the development of gifted children in different regions of the country, including the Altai Territory. The structure of the Center for the Development of Giftedness created at the Pedagogical University is revealed; directions and content of its activities and cooperation with other departments of the university; trajectories of network interaction with various institutions and organizations of the region for work with gifted children. Particular attention is paid to describing the capabilities of the center in working with parents of gifted children, including from rural areas. The presented model can be adapted into a system for managing work with gifted children in a specific region of Russia.

There is no special university entrance exam for gifted students in Turkey. Their only option is to complete the standard university entrance exam at the end of their final year in high school. This system of entrance exams does not benefit gifted students. Other universities around the world support such students in the following two ways: through honor programs and early college entrance systems. This paper examines these two types of programs that support gifted students, and it employs a cross-cultural comparison between Turkey and the United States, China, and Finland. Furthermore, the paper proposes a multi-step model for educating gifted students and for improving the university entrance exam process. The new type of entrance exam that we propose could be employed in Turkey to support gifted students entering university. By implementing the proposed university entrance system, gifted students will become more effective in life for themselves as well as society.

Abstract The growing number of foreign applicants looking forward to getting education in Ukrainian medical universities makes us find the ways how to improve and make effective the pre-professional training system of foreign medical applicants for further education. The article deals with the issues of the history of formation and development of the preprofessional training system of foreign medical applicants in Ukraine. On the ground of the electronic databases of the official websites of higher educational establishments, the data on years of opening first offices of the dean, departments and preparatory faculties for foreign medical applicants in Ukrainian medical universities are analyzed and systematized. Also the data on the setting up preparatory faculties at other universities who carry out licensed training of foreign students of the medical profile are presented. The data on the operating and management of such institutions in the system of the University administration are generalized. It’s revealed that during the years of its functioning the pre-professional training has changed, in particular the system was commercialized and the institutions involved in training foreign applicants have been reorganized. The modern trends in teaching foreign medical students at the preparatory faculties of the Ukrainian medical universities are displayed. Based on the analysis of the data it is concluded that the system of the pre-professional training of foreign medical applicants was set up in the 50s-60s years of the twentieth century. During this time, some positive experience in the preparation of future international medical specialists has been gained. The system of the pre-professional training of foreign medical applicants has been comprehensively improved and an effective system of managing foreign medical applicants has been created.

This study investigated university output soft skills and blue economy strategy as mechanisms for sustainable development in Cross River State of Nigeria. The study was a descriptive survey research design. The population included all university graduate workers in sea ports in the state. A purposive sampling techniques was used to select 250 respondents from the port locations. The instrument designated ‘Soft Skills In Blue Economy Strategy Questionnaire (SSIBESQ)’ was designed to collect data for the study. The instrument was validated and had a reliability co-efficient of 0.872. The data collected were analyzed using frequency counts and percentage score. The study revealed that university output soft skills were beneficiary to the graduate workers economically and encouraged multitasking in human and material resources for sustainable development of Cross River State, Nigeria. Blue economy strategy, through a dynamic environmental sustainable principles, assisted the university output at workplace. This included to boost new employment, innovation and growth in marine production and other port industries, thereby improving the state economic stand. Some of the recommendations made were: universities should give more attention to soft skills development, government should support policies on university output soft skills and blue economy strategy as sine-qua-non for utilization of business opportunities and economic development in the state.

This article is devoted to solving the problem of systematizing the existing concepts of innovation in higher education, reflecting the new vision of the university by modern scientists. The author studied the content and conducted a comparative analysis of various concepts relating to the emergence of the future image of the University. First of all, these are the works of the classics of post-industrialism, who defined science and education as a new industry within the emerging knowledge economy and noted the need to form, in this regard, a new type of University. Important potential for understanding the role and place of the University, as well as to get an idea of its supposed (futuristic) model in the new realities have the concepts of innovatization of higher education, the analysis of which is given most of the article. Under the concepts of innovatization of higher education in the article we understand the concept of modern scientists who consider the transformation of the traditional University in its innovative model that meets the needs of the economy and society focused on innovation. The concepts of innovatization are also divided into several types, grouped according to the relevant features, which suggests the possibility of transition to the innovative model of the University in different ways.

Logical abilities are a ubiquitous ingredient in all those contexts that take into account soft skills, argumentative skills or critical thinking. However, the relationship between logical models and the enhancement of these abilities is rarely explicitly considered. Two aspects of the issue are particularly critical in our opinion, namely: (i) the lack of statistically relevant data concerning these competences; (ii) the absence of reliable indices that might be used to measure and detect the possession of abilities underlying the above-mentioned soft skills. This paper aims to address both aspects of this topic by presenting the results of a research we conducted in the period October – December 2020 on students enrolled in various degree courses at the University of Florence. To the best of our knowledge, to date this is the largest available database on the subject in the Italian University System. It has been obtained by a three-stage initiative. We started from an “entrance” examination for assessing the students' initial abilities. This test comprised ten questions, each of which was centered on a specific reasoning construct. The results we have collected show that there is a widespread lack of understanding of basic patterns that are common in the everyday way of arguing. Students then underwent a short training course, using formal logic techniques in order to strengthen their abilities, and afterwards took an “exit” examination, replicating the structure and the questions difficulty of the entrance one in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the course. Results show that the training was beneficial.

The article is devoted to the overview of one of the most current problems that arise in the process of supporting the adaptation of students. The paper reveals the content of the adaptation process, its content and procedural characteristics, describes the types and stages, and directions of diagnostics. The aim of the work is to identify the features of adaptation in first-year students, including the description of the specifics of difficulties of non-resident students’ adaption. The study was conducted at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology “Petrozavodsk State University” with first-year students studying in the fields of education 44.03.02 Psychological and pedagogical education, 44.03.01. Pedagogical education, 44.03.03 Special (defectologic) education. The following methods were used to test the hypothesis: «I am a student» survey, «Scale of subjective well-being» method, analysis of documents (medical records of students), quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the study. Analysis of the results of the study showed that non-resident students have both general and specific difficulties of adaptation due to the breakdown of previous family and friendships, lack of emotional support, difficult living conditions, a new neighborhood, a new type of settlement, etc. The obtained results are used for development and implementation of measures to support students during the adaptation period.

The article is devoted to the current topic of choosing the optimal organizational option of multilateral integration of the scientific and educational sphere, business and the state in the process of globalization of the world economy. The authors justify the format of formation of scientific and educational complex on the basis of network interaction, which allows to obtain the greatest synergistic effect. In order to justify the effective network interaction of the scientific and educational complex, an analysis of existing methods of assessing the efficiency of its functioning was carried out and an author’s system of performance indicators and its assessment was proposed in accordance with the general purpose of the integration mechanism and the specific purpose of each interaction subject. The model contains a system of heterogeneous indicators reflecting the principles of formation of a scientific and educational complex on the basis of network interaction, which allows, along with an evaluation task, to determine, using factor models, further directions of inter-network relations of subjects in order to better understand the current processes and identify problem areas of coordination of their innovative activity.

A 3Win strategy for establishing a sustainable model of collaboration between the industry and universities is developed. Primary objectives of the work are outlined and are focused on the establishment of a model of sustainable collaboration between the industry, academic and research societies and student teams. This allows us to resolve the issue of preparing well qualified IT specialists in the necessary fields in collaboration with foreign partners and teams. This also presents the opportunity of development and research, targeted at the end consumer, by creating working prototypes or products. The sustainability of such a collaboration model supplements and is maintained by the long-term integration of mutual interests of the parties participating in the process. The analysis of the viability of this model is carried out on the basis of operation of R&D Start-up School. The definition of the 3Win strategy is established, as an interaction model, based on which each of the participating parties (the university, the company and the student body) receives their own personal benefits and achieves their own goals. In addition, this is a synergic model – where the cooperation of the participants results in a much more effective outcome, than individual efforts of each of the participants separately. The model, which is described as the 3Win strategy, in a way can be classified as a synthetic model, that incorporates the benefits of a number of other models developed previously. A1 – a department within the university as an incubator for developers, A2 – a department within the university as a center for certification support, Model B – a department within the university acting as a center for collaborative research and development and finally Model C – a department within the university as a business incubator. Simultaneously, this is a new class within the models of higher calibre, due to the fact that it facilitates a high degree of stability for the collaboration. The implementation of the model within the scope of international multi-university collaboration is described, along with its benefits. Examples of interaction between various components of the models based on existing cases are provided and the approaches for the 3Win strategy between the industry, universities and student body are described. The road-maps for further development of the aforementioned approaches are established
