<p><em>This study aims to describe and explain</em><em>:</em><em> (1) the </em><em>form of <strong>illocutionary </strong>speech acts in Putu Wijaya’s Peace drama script dialogue</em><em>; (2) the </em><em>function of illocutionary speech acts in Putu Wijaya’s Peace drama script dialogue</em><em>; and (3) the relevance of </em><strong><em>illocutionary </em></strong><em>speech acts in Putu Wijaya’s Peace drama script dialogue</em><em> and </em><em>literature </em><em>teaching materials in senior high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with type of pragmatic approach. Sources of data was a document which is the Putu Wijaya’</em><em>s Peace drama script dialogue</em><em>. The technique for taking the subject of this research was done by purposive sampling. Data collection was done by</em><em> document analysis</em><em>. Theory triangulation is </em><em>Searle’s illocutionary speech acts</em><em> and data sources triangulation in the form of informants was used for validity test of the data. Data analysis in this study was using data analysis according to Miles and Huberman with the flow model.</em><em> </em><em>The results of the study are as follows. First, </em><em>from five form of illocutionary speech acts, the most dominant form is directif form</em><em>. Second, the</em><em> most dominant fuction of illocutionary speech acts is directif requestives fuction and directif requirements function.</em><em> Third, </em><em>the </em><em>Putu Wijaya’</em><em>s Peace drama script dialogue</em><em> </em><em>fulllied three important aspects of </em><em>teaching materials (1) </em><em>language aspects</em><em>; (2)</em><em>psychology aspects</em><em>; and (3) culture</em><em> based </em><em> aspects</em><em>; and the curriculum that been used.</em><em></em></p>

The Purpose of this study is to describe the use of directive speech acts of prohibition in the Spirited Away movie which are based on the pattern of prohibitions in Japanese. It also aims to find out the factors that influence the prohibition of speech based on the context of the conversation and categorized them into direct or indirect speech. The data of this research were taken from the utterance of the characters containing the directive speech acts of prohibition. The use of prohibition directive speech acts is analyzed based on the prohibition pattern in Japanese in accordance with the theory of Namatame. This type of research uses the qualitative descriptive research method with a pragmatic approach. From the results of data analysis it was found that the use of illocutionary speech forms directly prohibits,which are: the patterns of  ~ V ru na, ~ te wa ikenai, ~ naide, ~ dame, and ~ janai. Ilocutionary forms are directly used by people who have strong authority over their partners. With his authority the speaker does not need to use indirect speech which usually emphasizes modesty.

<em>This study aims to (1) describe and explain the realization of the following<strong> </strong>Grice’s cooperative principles; (2) describe and explain the realization of the violatting Grice’s cooperative principles; and (3) explains the relevance of Grice's principles of cooperation as teaching materials for high school speaking skills. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Sources of data was a transcripted document form. The technique for taking the subject was done by purposive sampling. Data analysis in this study was using the flow model. The results of the study are as follows. First, the maxim of ’quantity’ of the Grice’s cooperative principle of was the most followed as many as 35 data (59,3%). Second, the maxim of ‘quantity’ was also the most violated as many as 33 data (48,5%). Third, Grice’s coopertive principles can be used as teaching materials of speaking skills in high school because (1) it provides guidance to students; (2) it provides guidance for teachers in giving score; and (3) it improves effectiveness in the learning process of speaking skills, especially in discussion activities.</em>

This study aims to determine the public relations strategy of Makassar State University in increasing the positive image of Makassar State University in the community. To find out these objectives, the researchers used a type of qualitative descriptive research. The informants in this study were as many as five people using data collection techniques carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Data obtained from research results are processed using data analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Public Relations devised a strategy so that the function could run in accordance with the objectives of Makassar State University, among others, trying to create a conducive climate between institutions and the public in order to do persuasive and educative approaches to the public, trying to create two-way communication by disseminating information from institutions to public parties. educate and provide information, in order to create mutual understanding, respect, understanding and also strive to foster harmonious relations between organizations and various groups, both in and out relations to enhance cooperation. Public Relations seeks to socialize the Makassar State University mission to be accepted or received support from the public / public.

The background of this research is many indigo events in the community and many indigo literary works. Indigo research in the  “Indigo dalam Novel Supernova Akar Karya Dee Lestari:Tinjauan Psikologi Sastra,” first aims to find the description of the indigo abilities experienced by the characters, secodly to find the causes of indigo experienced by characters, and thirdly to find out the type of indigo experienced by characters in the Supernova Akar. The research includes qualitative descriptive research on data analysis techniques using textual analysis or text analysis. The subject of this study is a character in the Supernova Akar. The result of research that is narated by Dee lestari source are; 1)levitasi, 2) procegnition, 30 psicometri, 4) teleportasi, and 5) clayvoyance. Indigo causes experienced by characters in the Supernova Akar are; 1) a gift from God, 2) from offspring, and from training. The type of indigo experienced by characters in the Supernova Akar are; humanis and artis.

Abstract The research on the infixed words in KBBI (Indonesian Great Dictionary) aims at describing the infixed words in the structure of the dictionary. This is a qualitative descriptive research. The subject of this study is the Fourth Edition of KBBI, while the object of research is the infixed entries contained in the dictionary. The data used in this study is the whole infixed words that made the entry in the dictionary. Data collection is carried out by reading and writing techniques. The data analysis steps are performed by collecting the entries, sorting the entries, classifying the entries by category or criteria according to the entry structure. The analysis is carried out after classification. The result of the research shows that in Fourth Edition of KBBI, there are twenty infixed words which are divided into four infixes -el-, -em-, -er-, and -in- and arranged as the main entry, i.e gelembung (bubbles), gelenang (grateful), geletar (tremble), geligi (teeth), gemeletuk (tingling), gemelugut (shrieking), gemeresik (rustling), gemeretak (rattling), gemerencang ( clanging), gemerincing (jingling), gemerlap (sparkling), gemetar (trembling), gemuntur (thundering), gemuruh  (rumbling), gerigi (serrations), serabut (fibers), seruling (flutes), sinambung (continuous), telingkah (hoarse), and telunjuk (finger). The word gerisik in the dictionary has the same basic meaning as the rhyme form, although the word geresik as the basic form of rustle are not found, while gerincing is the basic form of rattle, although the word gerencing is not found because the clanging rhyme is given the equivalent of word gemerincing to refer to the formation used. Meanwhile, in the dictionary, the word seruling (flute) that is supposed to be a derivation form of the word suling is created to be one of the meanings of the suling entry instead.  Abstrak Penelitian tentang kata-kata berinfiks pada Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kata-kata berinfiks dalam struktur kamus tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia Edisi Keempat, sedangkan objek penelitiannya adalah lema berinfiks yang terdapat di dalam kamus tersebut. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kata berinfiks yang dijadikan lema dalam kamus tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik baca dan catat. Langkah-langkah analisis data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan lema, mengurutkan lema, mengklasifikasikan lema berdasarkan kategori atau kriteria sesuai dengan struktur lema. Penganalisisan dilakukan setelah dilakukan pengklasifikasian. Dari hasil penelitian ditunjukkan bahwa di dalam Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia Edisi Keempat terdapat dua puluh kata berinfiks yang dibedakan menjadi empat infiks -el-, -em-, -er-, dan -in- dan disusun sebagai lema utama, yaitu gelembung, gelenang, geletar, geligi,  gemeletuk, gemelugut, gemeresik, gemeretak,  gemerencang, gemerincing, gemerlap, gemetar, gemuntur, gemuruh, gerigi, serabut, seruling,  sinambung, telingkah, dan telunjuk. Kata gerisik dalam kamus tersebut bermakna dasar yang sama dengan bentuk jadian gemeresik meskipun tidak ditemukan kata geresik sebagai bentuk dasar gemeresik, sedangkan gerincing merupakan bentuk dasar gemerencing kendatipun tidak ditemukan kata gerencing karena pada lema gemerincing diberi padanan kata gemerencing untuk mengacu bentukan yang dipakai. Sementara itu, kata seruling yang seharusnya merupakan bentuk derivasi dari kata suling dalam kamus tersebut malah dijadikan salah satu makna dari lema suling.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya santri Pondok Pesantren At-Taslim yang sering menggunakan tindak tutur ilokusi dalam berinteraksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui jenis tindak ilokusi santri di Pondok Pesantren At-Taslim Bintoro Demak. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan pragmatik. Sumber datanya adalah percakapan antarsantri di Pondok Pesantren At-Taslim Bintoro Demak. Adapun teknik pengumpulan datanya ialah observasi, menyimak, merekam, dan mencatat. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah interaktif dengan mereduksi, menyajikan, dan memverifikasi data. Hasil dari penelitian ini terdapat lima jenis tindak ilokusi yang sering digunakan oleh para santri, yaitu tindak tutur asertif, direktif, ekspresif, komisif, dan deklaratif. Tindak tutur asertif berupa menyatakan, mengeluh, dan memberi tahu. Tindak tutur direktif berupa memesan, merekomendasikan, menasihati, dan memerintah. Tindak tutur ekspresif berupa berterima kasih, memberi selamat, meminta maaf, dan kecewa. Tindak tutur komisif berupa janji dan penawaran, sedangkan tindak tutur deklaratif berupa pasrah dan menghukum. This research is based on the number of students at Pondok Pesantren At-Taslim who often use the illocutionary act of speech in interacting. The purpose of this pragmatic study is to find out the type of student illocutionary act in Pondok Pesantren At-Taslim Bintoro Demak. The method used in this study was a qualitative descriptive using a pragmatic approach. The source of this research data was a conversation between students at Pondok Pesantren At-Taslim Bintoro Demak. Data collection techniques used in this study were observating, listening, recording, and note taking. The data analysis techniques used in this study were conducted interactively by reducing, presenting, and verifying data. The results of this study show that there are five types of illocutionary acts that are often used by students in interacting, among others. They are assertive, directive, expressive, commissive, and declarative speech acts. The Assertive acts include stating, complaining, and informing. The acts of directive is ordering, recommending, advising, and governing. The acts expressive are in the form of thanking, congratulating, apologizing, and disappointed. The commissive acts are in the form of promising and offerring, while declarative acts are in the form of surrendering and punishing.

<em>The aims of this research is to describe and to explain: (1) the structure of the<strong> </strong>novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (2) the form of the gender inequity that happen with the women characteristic in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (3) the form of the culture rebellion of women characteristic in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (4) the relevancies of novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini as bahasa Indonesia teaching materials in SMA. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Technique of data validity was using triangulation methode. Technique of data analysis was using flow analysis. The result of the study show that: (1) the structure of the novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini contains theme, plot, figures, setting, and moral value; (2) the form of the gender inequity in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini is in the form of determining and choosing women’s life that it is belief not equitable; (3) the form of the culture rebellion by women characteristic in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini is the desire to live freely without any rules of the tradition and culture; (5) there is relevance of the novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini as bahasa Indonesia teaching materials in SMA.</em>

Currently, one form of implementing learning during the pandemic is distance learning. The process of learning biology during the pandemic presents various problems in the delivery of material. This study aims to look at the barriers and ways to solve them in distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study used a qualitative descriptive research design with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The subjects of this research are teachers in the field of biology studies who have implemented distance learning with various brave application platforms in the hope of providing data related to distance learning barriers who act as informants; as well as students who experience obstacles in the implementation of distance learning. The results of the study obtained several obstacles in distance learning in biology learning, namely 1) obstacles in the learning process of learning materials which in using the application not all have Android cellphones, the network is not good during the learning process, and the level of student boredom. 2) obstacles in the interaction process in the learning process which usually appear on the subject or material that is difficult for students to understand. 3) the strength of the empowerment of facilities and elements in internet network learning is weak, running out of quota, and there are some students who do not have electronic devices. 4) obstacles in managing teaching materials to be delivered in the learning process that still need accuracy in choosing the right teaching materials

This study aimed to describe the value of cohesion and coherence contained in the translation of the Qur'an surah Al Zalzalah. This study was a qualitative descriptive research, research data collection techniques using three techniques namely, inventory, rading and understanding, and record keeping. The data analysis used the coding of data, classification data, and the determination of the data. The results showed that the cohesion markers used in the translation of surah Al Zalzalah discourse are: 1) reference, 2) pronouns, ie pronouns second person, and third, the relative pronoun, the pronoun pointer, pen pronouns and pronouns owner, 3 ) conjunctions, namely temporal conjunctions, coordinating conjunctions, subordinating conjunctions, and conjunctions koorelatif, and 4) a causal ellipsis. It mean that there was a coherence in the translation of surah Al Zalzalah discourse are: the addition or addition, pronouns, repetition or repetition, match words or synonyms, in whole or in part, a comparison or ratio of conclusions or results. Keywords: Cohesion, Coherence, sura Al Zalzalah AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai kohesi dan koherensi yang terdapat dalam terjemahan Al-Qur’an surah Al Zalzalah. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan tiga teknik yakni, inventarisasi, baca simak, dan pencatatan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengodean data, pengklasifikasian data, dan penentuan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemarkah kohesi yang digunakan dalam wacana terjemahan surah Al Zalzalah adalah: 1) referensi, 2) pronomina, yaitu kata ganti orang kedua, dan ketiga, kata ganti penghubung, kata ganti penunjuk, kata ganti penanya dan kata ganti empunya, 3) konjungsi, yaitu konjungsi temporal, konjungsi koordinatif, konjungsi subordinatif, dan konjungsi koorelatif, dan 4) elipsis kausal. Sarana koherensi yang terdapat di dalam wacana terjemahan surah Al Zalzalah adalah: penambahan atau adisi, pronomina, pengulangan atau repetisi, padan kata atau sinonim, keseluruhan atau bagian, komparasi atau perbandingan simpulan atau hasil.Kata Kunci: Kohesi, Koherensi, surah Al Zalzalah

<p>The research entitled Directive Speech Act Seen on Family 2.0 Drama Script Written by Walter Wykes purposes to describe and uncover the types of form and intended meaning of directive speech act on that drama script. This descriptive research uses pragmatic approach and theory. The collecting and analysing data are focused on the using of declarative, imperative, and interrogative sentences in the text of drama. The forms of those sentences will be analysed to find out the types of form of directive speech act, while the context of those sentences will be used to analyze the intended meaning of directive speech act uttered by speakers. The results of the research are found that, first, there are two types of the form of directive speech acts, direct directive speech acts and indirect directive speech acts. Direct directive speech acts are represented by imperative sentence without subject; imperative sentence with let; and negative imperative sentence. Meanwhile the indirect directive speech acts are represented by declarative sentence statement; declarative sentence if clause; negative declarative sentences; and interrogative sentences. Second, the intended meanings seen on drama script of Family 2.0 are command, prohibition, request, treat, and persuasion. It can be concluded that, the most frequent intended meaning appeared in directive speech acts on this script is command by the use of imperative forms. Then, the declarative and interrogative forms are used to request something by adults charaters; in contrast the kids characters use them to command and prohibit the hearer.<strong></strong></p><strong>Keywords: </strong> family 2.0, pragmatic, speech act, directive, form and intended meaning
