Theoretically, the result of this research hopefully can give scientific contribution toward development of science, especially science of education, give suggestion to another school about evaluation of program for better quality of education, also by way of evaluation for secondary school of Sekolah Alam Bogor for being more effective internship program. The research use qualitative method. Data were got by doing interview, observation, and check list. The data were used for evaluating internship program of creative industry for more effective program implementation. Subject of this research are students and teachers who participated in internship program of creative industry also the owner of the place. Based on the data which were got, it can be concluded that internship program of creative industry can improve knowledge, skills, and positive attitude of students with supporters factors: monitoring of the principal, the role of the teacher, the role of the owner of internship place, and communication between the school and internship place.

The leadership of the kiai becomes very important in Islamic boarding school because the development of the quality of pesantren education depends on the competence of the leader, the meaning of the leader here is the kiai or caretaker of the boarding school. This study aims to describe the first role of leadership in improving the quality of education, secondly the leadership of kiai that is effective in improving the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools.This research uses a qualitative method, with a case study in Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School in Malang. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation and observation techniques. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative methods and inductive thinking patterns. The purpose is to analyze the data obtained from field objects, and then to be related to relevant theories.The results showed: 1) The role of the kiai in improving quality in the Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic boarding school in Malang is as a manager, educator, human resource empowerment, decision maker, attainee of the pesantren, motivator and supervisor. 2) Effective kiai leadership is leadership that builds cooperation with kiai or other institutions, regenerates kiai and builds good relations with the community.

This study  discusses  the urgency of the competency of teachers on the subjects of Islamic religious education. This study used descriptive qualitative method  and gather data through  observation, interview, and documentation.  Data analysis was carried out through  reduction, data presentation, and data verification that ended with checking the validity of the data. The results of this study shows that competence of teachers in junior high school is adequate. The role of teachers in improving the quality of teaching, positions which directly determine the success, considering the teacher as a figure who is directly involved in learning in the classroom. All of these roles requires more concrete effort, and directly touch to the needs of students in order to get better the quality of learning.  The efforts made by the Islamic religious education teachers in improving the quality of education including the provision of guidance to students, advice, supervision of students, providing motivation and rewards, using varied teaching methods, and personal approach to students. Supporting factors include the existence of good cooperation from principals, teachers, parents, staff, students and the local community, the infrastructure, the competent teachers, and safe and orderly environment. Inhibiting factors include the lack of instructional media; in this case the writer mean is computer and LCD, the lack of participation and support fromstudents’ parent. As for efforts to deal with is as follows: add computer and LCD and establish good coordination with parents.

This research was carried to look at the quality of the 9-year primary education at the primary schools under the responsibility of PT Windu Nabatindo Lestari Bumitama Gunajaya Agro , a palm oil plantation in Central Kalimantan. The four standards measured are (1) competence of the graduates, (2) teachers and supporting staff, (3) facilities and infrastructures, and (4) costs. The company is responsible for increasing the standard quality of education within the plantation through its Corporate Social Reaponsibility (CSR) which targets education in the platation areas. This research uses qualitative method; data collection was done through observation, interviews, school documents, database, and note taking. The results shows that not all minimum indicators of the standards met the requirements, such as, there was no career tracks for teachers and supporting staff, budget was allocated more on operational coats. Facilities ad infrastructures were far from adequate for a quality education.

Abstract The purpose of this study is to know the implementation of strategic management in an effort to improve the quality of education in Pondok Pesantren. This research use descriptive, analytic, qualitative method by using field study (field research) in data collection. From the results of research can be concluded: the implementation of strategic management in an effort to improve the quality of education in Pondok Pesantren, has been done well. Efforts to improve the quality of education in boarding schools increased and directed, because the implementation of strategic management made in boarding school can be implemented and the goal is achieved well. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian tersebut adalah ingin mengetahui penerapan manajemen strategis dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Pondok Pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, analitik, kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi lapangan (field research) dalam pengumpulan data. Dari hasil penelitin dapat disimpulkan: penerapan manajemen strategis dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Pondok Pesantren, sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Usaha kegiatan peningkatan mutu pendidikan di pondok pesantren semakin meningkat dan terarah, karena penerapan manajemen strategis yang dibuat di pondok pesantren dapat dilaksanakan dan tujuannya tercapai dengan baik. AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to reveal how the quality of education in this Islamic boarding school is, particularly related to education facilities, curriculum and strategies of education quality improve­ments. This study used the qualitative method. Findings of this study are: first, education infrastructure and facilities are relatively complete and adequate, which are supported by the atmosphere of the Islamic boarding school that is full of simplicity and modesty by habituation in implementing clean and healthy lifestyle. Second, the tafaqquh fi-al din (understanding of religion)-based curriculum compiled by the Islamic boarding school occupies the same degree (equal) to the curriculum prepared by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, so that both tafaqquh fi-al din (understanding of religion) studies and general studi­es have high electability, which is able to increase the quality of education and also generates interest and motivation of the people (parents) to put their children to the Islamic boarding school. Third, education in the Islamic boarding school has a strong independency because it is supported by substantial financial resources.AbstrakTujuan tulisan ini untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana mutu pendidikan di pondok pesantren ini, khususnya berkaitan dengan sarana pendidikan, kurikulum dan sterategi peningkatan mutu pendidik­an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Hasil temuan studi ini adalah: Pertama, sarana dan fasilitas pendidikan relatif lengkap dan memadai, ini didukung oleh suasana kehidupan pondok pesan­tren yang penuh kesederhanaan dan kebersahajaan dengan pembiasaan menerapkan pola hidup bersih dan sehat. Kedua, kurikulum yang berbasis tafaqquh fi-al din yang disusun oleh pondok pesantren ini menempati derajat yang sama (equal) dengan kurikulum yang disusun Kementerian Agama, sehinga baik kajian tafaqquh fi al-din maupun pelajaran umum memiliki electabilitas yang tinggi, hal ini mampu meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan sekaligus membangkitkan animo dan motivasi masyarakat (orangtua) untuk memasukkan anaknya ke pesantren ini. Ketiga, penyelenggaraan pendidikan di pon­dok pesantren ini memiliki kemandirian yang kuat, karena didukung oleh sumber dana yang besar.

This paper discusses the importance of the students ‘character building in the level of primary school/Islamic elementary school to face the globalization and information era. Education is the process of determining the nation’s character. Good or bad character of the nation in the future will be determined by the present quality of education. Building the character through Tahfidzul Quran learning approach is expected to be the main foundation to improve the degree and prestige of learners as the asset of the nation. Progress in information technology that is so fast is expected to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. In the world of information technology education can help and support the learning process. Especially now all the learning process activities can be done online. Progress in information technology must also be supported by quality human resources. In this case the teacher is very instrumental in the utilization of information technology in the world of education. Because the teacher is one of the education supervisors who will encourage the advancement of the quality of education in Indonesia. But in reality the quality of teachers in Indonesia is inadequate. There are still many teachers who cannot use information technology in learning especially for teachers who are senior or old. As teacher supervisors, they must improve the quality of their performance in using technology. To improve the ability of teachers to use technology, ongoing training is needed to use technology. The role of the head of the school as a supervisor is also needed, namely the principal is obliged to supervise, control, and approach the teacher in terms of the use of technology in the learning process.
