Research has shown that the practicum experience for professional preparation students in physical education teacher education programs related to teaching youth with disabilities can improve self-efficacy. It is not currently known if a virtual program can be effective for the professional preparation students or the participants. The objective of this study was to determine the experiences of the participants of a three-month virtual practicum program. In this phenomenological study, thirty youth with visual impairments and 1:1 professional preparation students (coaches) took part in a three-month virtual physical activity program. A total of 11 coaches took part in 2 focus groups, and 10 of the participants were interviewed about their experiences in this unique practicum. Findings in this three-month program revealed four themes: (1) friendship, (2) self-determination, (3) goal setting, and (4) barriers. The results of the qualitative inquiry indicate that a virtual practicum program can have a positive effect on both the participants and the professional preparation students. Virtual programs should also be aware of barriers to implementing an effective program to benefit all parties.

A nonresidential gifted program for economically disadvantaged students in India (Grades 6 through 12) uses a continuum of services for social emotional learning (SEL) support to prepare students for college admission. The program stands in contrast to the residential gifted schools in India, which have minimal SEL considerations. SEL is deeply integrated with the Sitare Foundation program's design and evaluation by using emotional intelligence assessments and action plans to customize support for its students and staff. During the coronavirus pandemic, SEL training and mentoring of the city coordinators provided resilience models to encourage continued commitment to the program, especially for female gifted students. Three specific examples (student, leader, and coordinators) are presented as illustrations of growth and transformation. Continuous gathering of both qualitative and quantitative SEL data, combined with traditional academic records, is recommended for effective program iterations.

Introduction. The topic is of relevance due to the need to study tourist flows in terms of the geography of tourist trips in order to analyze and compare the directions of the flows. The problem is that the authorities responsible for tourism management in the region and tourism organizations do not always pay due attention to the geography of the tourist flow and to its optimization in terms of the interests of the region itself. At the same time, the identified trends can be taken into consideration in order to improve and increase the efficiency of the tourism industry in the region and when making managerial decisions in the tourism sector. Based on the results of the study conducted, the article characterizes the travel destinations of Mordovian tourists, reveals trends, and proposes measures to solve the identified problems. Materials and Methods. The materials on the development of tourism in the Republic of Mordovia published by the Territorial Body of the State Statistics Service in the Republic of Mordovia for the period from 2010 to 2019 were analyzed; data from the Digital Tourism service run by MegaFon mobile phone operator were also examined. The methods of mathematical statistics employed made it possible to calculate the changes in the relative and absolute indicators of the geography of the tourist flow in the republic over a ten-year period. To identify the geography of the regional tourist flow, the methods of analysis and generalization were used, which made it possible to identify the features of the internal and external tourist flows of people living in Mordovia. Results. An analysis of the dynamics and placement of inbound and outbound tourism has been carried out; the volume of the tourist flow has been considered; the features of the geography of the tourist flows have been considered; the problems that hinder the more effective development of tourism in the republic have been revealed. The measures aimed at improving the efficiency of tourism activities in the region have been proposed. Discussion and Conclusion. The study made it possible to identify the main trends in the geography of the tourist flows of residents of Mordovia, as well as the causes and features of the ongoing transformations. The results of the study can contribute to the elaboration of an effective program for the development of tourism in the republic, to the adoption of productive managerial decisions in the field of tourism in the region, and to optimization of the geography of the tourist flows.

The article discusses the issue of resource base management in a complex structure of residual reserves. To increase the efficiency of the reserves development, constant monitoring of their distribution is necessary - how much they are involved, is there any potential for additional involvement, how efficient are the areas already involved in development. The paper proposes a methodological approach to the residual reserves control process organization, which allows planning and adjusting the program of reserves development. This is of particular relevance for companies that develop assets in the late stages of development, which do not have the ability to indiscriminate drilling. On the example of one of the enterprises developing assets in the Volga-Ural oil and gas province, the structuring of residual reserves was carried out, on the basis of which a strategy for increasing the reserves involvement in development was formed. To analyze the efficiency of reserves recovery in the involved areas, a reserve utilization factor based on the displacement forecast is proposed. Its implementation made it possible to identify problem areas, on the example of one of which a highly effective program for drilling horizontal wells was subsequently implemented. Keywords: oil fields development; oil reserves; resource management; reserves development; horizontal wells.

Abstract Context.– In the face of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic response, it was worthwhile to test the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 convalescent plasma (CCP) transfusion. Objective.– To establish a CCP donation program based on the availability of recovered COVID-19 patients and the practical limitations to recruit clinically valid donors in a multicultural setting. Design.– From March to June 2020, we developed a program for collection of COVID-19 CCP as part of the treatment options for patients affected with COVID-19. From an initial population of 3,746 candidates, only those with positive polymerase chain reaction (PCR) results in at least two separate tests were considered. This filter reduced the eligible donor pool to 488 patients. After other exclusions were applied, such as language barrier, age, accessibility to donation, comorbidities, etc., the final count was 267 potentially eligible donors, which represented only 54.7 % (267/488) of preselected candidates. Results.– Eighty donors were called. Approximately a third of the calls provided additional challenges as outlined by the following four reasons: limited functional understanding of English; schedule availability due to rotating work timetables; transportation restrictions since public transport services were severely restricted during lockdown; and lost to follow up. Finally, a total of 38 valid donors participated, from which 45 apheresis procedures were performed. Conclusions.– As a summary of our experience, we can conclude that despite the limitations we were able to establish an effective program. A total of 90 units of CCP were collected before the pandemic curve began to flatten toward the end of June 2020.
