This study was conducted in Balai Benih Induk (BBI) Luwus, Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency, with the high of place 506m above sea level occurring in March to May 2014. This research used randomized block design arranged per factor, namely population of plants (P) including three steps: P1=80.000 plants per hectare, P2= 100.00 plants per hectare, P3= 120.000 per hectare; and mulch (M) that include: M0= without mulch and without cleaning, M1= without mulch with clean weeding, M2= rice plants straw mulch (5 ton per hectare) and M3= black silver plastic mulch. Eventually, there were 12 combination treatments, each of which was repeated 3 times to obtain 36 land slots. The research indicates that there was no real interaction between the treatment of plant population and mulch usage in all variables observed. The 100.000 plant population per hectare can produce the weight of dry and fresh oven corn kernel without highest cornhusk that was to say 4.79 tons and 0.53 tons or 11.66 % and 20.45% higher compared to 120.000 plant population per hectare. The use of black silver plastic and rice plants straw mulch can produce the weight of fresh and dry oven corn kernel without cornhusk per hectare each of which is 4.69 tons, 4.57 tons, and 0.54 tons, 0.47 tons or 26.76%, 38.46 %, and 23.51 %, 20.51 % higher than without mulch and without clean weeding. Clean weeding treatment can produce the weight of fresh and dry oven corn kernel without cornhusk per hectare with its weight of 4.63 tons and 0.51 tons or 25.35 % and 35.90 % higher than without mulch and cleaning. Clean weeding treatment was not obviously different from mulch treatment. The identification of weed types were 19 kinds of weeds and Cyperus rotundus L. Weeds. They have the highest density and each absolute frequent of 1249.333 stems m-2 and 1.00.

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the mineral contents of I. zollingeriana growing with different planting densities. The experiment was conducted in a randomized block design with three different planting densities (8,000 plants per ha, 13,333 plants per ha, and 20,000 plants per ha) and 3 replication. Plant biomass was analyzed for macro and micro mineral contents as well as Ca:P ratio. The results showed that increased planting densities significantly increased (p<0.05) P, Cu, and Cr contents, but decreased Ca and Na contents  had no significant effect  on Mg, K, Mn, Zn and Fe contents. Furthermore, the increased planting densities significantly decreased (p<0.05) uptakes of Ca, K, Mn, and Fe by the plants, but increased (p<0.05) the uptakes of Cu and Cr. Meanwhile, the uptakes of P, K, Na, and Zn were not affected by planting densities. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the planting density of I. zollingeriana should be maintained in 8,000 plants ha-1 to maintain the content and uptake of mineral in forage crops. Key words:        defoliation periods,          Indigofera zollingeriana, macrominerals, micro minerals, planting density

The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of irrigation and fertilization with nitrogen and potassium on the sterol and triterpene dialcohol contents in two trials of cv. Arbequina in super-intensive orchards in Madrid and Lleida (Spain), using a completely randomized block design. No significant differences in total sterols between deficit and full irrigation treatments were observed. Under very dry conditions, the sterol levels from fully irrigated trees were higher than from rain-fed treatments and the triterpene dialcohol erythrodiol+ uvaol content was lower in the irrigated treatments in Lleida. In the fertilizer trial with full irrigation, total sterols were higher in the two N treatments compared to the unfertilized one; while erythrodiol + uvaol decreased. The application of K fertilizer had no effect on total sterol or triterpene dialcohol contents. A proper fertilization and irrigation are vital to obtain high quality EVOOs that meet the regulatory range in sterol and erythrodiol + uvaol contents.

Utilization of maize waste as the organic matter sources in agricultural land couldn’t be directly applied, caused by late decomposition prosess. An effort to accelerate of maize waste decomposting needed bioactivator. The research was conducted in green house and Bajeng Research Intallation from March to August 2015. The research was arranged in randomized block design using isolate bacteria and fungus just one or theier combining ie: three bacteria  (B7.1,E7.7and E7.11), three fungus (M7, O5, P7), and four bacteria-fungus combining(B7.1+O5, B7.1+M7, E7.7+P7, B7.1+E7.7+O5), EM4 and N,P,K fertilizer(200,45,60) ha-1as the check treatment. Just one isolate fertilized by 75 percent N,P,K while combine isolate fertilized by 50 percent N,P,K recommended. The results indicated that just one decomposer E7.7 produced high enouugh grain yield not siqnificantly different by N,P,K (200,45,60) and five other just one treatment (E7.11,B7.1,M7 and O5), however siqnificantly different with combining decomposer (B7.1+O5, E7.11+M7, E7.7+P7, B7.1+E7.7+O5 and EM4). This mean that using stalk plus leaf waste maize compost could be subtitution in organic fertilizer untill 25 percent. Meanwhile combining decomposer was good enough for composting stalk and leaf of maize waste ie. isolate B7.1+O5 and E7.7+P7 although not significntly different with the other combine isolate including EM4. Thise case related by applied 50 percent N,P,K inorganic recommended fertilizer did not sufficient to supporting maize nutrient.Key Words: Decomposer, Bacteria, Fungus, Composting,Maize waste
