Abstract:Self-image is the result of the process of forming the environment. Women who wear the veil (cadar) are considered to be oppressed, terrorists, or others stigma. Something important to do is to deeply understand what is inside these veiled women about themselves and what other people respond to about them. To find the answer, the study uses a qualitative approach with the phenomenological method. They obtain data using in-depth interview techniques, which are then analyzed using a four-step system Jonathan A. Smith. From the data collection, it was found that the respondents decided to use the veil based on their beliefs, family, and peers. However, the mixed views expressed by family and society were respondents expressed pride and happiness by wearing the veilKeyword: self image, woman, cadar, phenomenologyAbstrak: Citra diri merupakan hasil dari proses pembentukan lingkungan. Wanita yang menggunakan cadar oleh lingkungan disituasikan sebagai orang yang tertindas, teroris atau stigma lain. Sesuatu yang penting untuk dilakukan adalah memahami secara mendalam tentang apa yang ada dalam diri wanita bercadar ini tentang diri dan tentang apa yang direspon oleh orang lain tentang diri mereka. Untuk menemukan jawaban dari hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Untuk mendapatkan data menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan empat langkah dari Jonathan A. Smith. Dari pengumpulan data ditemukan bahwa responden memutuskan menggunaan cadar berdasarkan atas panggilan keyakinan, keluarga, dan teman sebaya. Pandangan beragam yang diekspresikan oleh keluarga dan masyarakat, meskipun demikian, responden mengungkapkan kebanggaan dan kebahagiaan dengan mengenakan cadar.Kata kunci: Citra diri, perempuan, cadar, fenomenologi

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui dampak positif dan negatif dari adanya pergantian (turn-over) guru di Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Ulama Banyuputih kabupaten Batang. Penelitian inimenggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif analitis dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya turn-over yang tinggi pada guru atau pendidik di madrasah tersebut; keuntungan yang bersifat positif justru didapatkan ketika adanya turn-over guru dibandingkan dampak negatifnya; dan kehadiran guru baru menjadi hal yang sangat disukai oleh siswa dalam hal kreativitas, inovasi pembelajaran, motivasi, dan lain sebagainya.The aims of this research were to know the positive and negative impact of teacher turn over at Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Ulama Banyuputih Kabupaten Batang. This research was use analytical descriptive qualitative approach with depth interview, questionnaire and documentation as data collection methods. The results of this research shows that the positive impact occur more than the negative impact when there was teacher turn over; and the presence of a new teacher become student’s favourite on creativity, learning innovation, and motivation aspects.

Informants are chosen based on purposive sampling technique while data collection applies observation technique and in-depth interview (loosely structured interview). It uses Structuration theory proposed by Anthony Giddens which focuses on duality relation between agent and structure.

The present study aimed at finding out various practices of Bank Thithil at Bethek Urban Village, Malang, along with the people’s perception and the impact of such practices towards the people’s welfare. Employing qualitative approach, this study focuses on the people’s perception, particularly those belonging to debtors trapped in Bank Thithil, such bank’s creditors, and some local cultural leaders, who lived at Bethek Urban Village, Malang. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. In analyzing the data, Miles Huberman’s analysis was employed which consisted of the following action: collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing supported by a phenomenological method which tried to capture and understand the reality. The result showed that Bank Thithil at Bethek Urban Village belonged to an informal financial organization as it was not a legal entity. As a consequence, the creditors may set rules of loan and sanctions without any reference to the legal law of financial organizations in Indonesia. The people’s perception towards Bank Thithil was various; some people felt fine with its practices because they need it and some another people strongly disagreed for some reasons, one is the prohibition on Islamic law.

One of the tasks of human development is to discover its identity. There are many ways a person can find that identity. One of them is through the identification of the idol figure. This study aims to understand the process of identity formation through the identification of shadow puppet figures in the context of Javanese culture. A qualitative phenomenological approach was used to understand the process retrospectively. Three main participants were involved in the study. The process of collecting data was done through in-depth interview methods to both the main participants and their significant others. FGD (focused group discussion) is also conducted to explore participants' understanding of their process of identity formation. Data analysis was done by phenomenological method. This study found three main themes, namely interested in shadow puppet figures, matching self-image with puppet characters, and the use of feeling as a bridge between self and the puppet. This study concluded that shadow puppets can be used as a means to find identity among their fans.

This research explains the internalization of multicultural values ​​in the learning process of PAI at Senior high school Darut Taqwa Sengonagung Purwosari Pasuruan. This Research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The data collection was through by unstructured and opened interview techniques, unattended and opened observation, and documentation techniques. For analysis and interpretation of data using steps: a). Reduction data, b). Displaying data, and c). Conclusion drawing / verification. The results of the research shows that the internalization of multicultural values ​​in the learning process of PAI through two ways, namely through the material and using methods that reflect multicultural values.

The implementation of the 2013 Curriculum until now is increasingly reaping problems. Although this curriculum has been running for seven years, it seems that this curriculum still has obstacles in some schools, especially in the field of Islamic religious education studies. This research aims to find out and examine the difficulties experienced by PAI teachers in implementing the 2013 Curriculum in the city of Medan. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach that is studied through literature studies. Data collection was obtained through interview techniques with PAI teachers in Medan. The results of this study show that there are several difficulties experienced by PAI teachers in the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum, including lack of understanding of the teacher itself with the content of the 2013 curriculum as a whole, inadequate facilities as a means of support in supporting learning. Some learning materials require a time allocation that is more than the specified time. The solution offered in this case first; increased knowledge and application of the 2013 curriculum for teachers. It can be done by following open discussions, training and other intellectual activities. In addition, teachers are required to be creative in designing learning through innovative media and good learning strategies and methods.

AbstrakTren penggunaan sistem digital berbasis internet merupakan salah satu karakteristik kehadiran era revolusi industri ke empat. Adanya kesenjangan digital khususnya di Indonesia menjadi permasalahan tersendiri. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menggali sejauhmana pengalaman partisipan terhadap penggunaan sistem digital berbasis internet di lingkungan kerja dan pendidikan; dan mengetahui harapan individu bagi pengembangan penggunaan sistem digital berbasis internet di masa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi  yang fokus pada esensi pemahaman tentang pengalaman individu. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam kepada 2 orang partisipan dan jajak pendapat pertanyaan setengah terbuka (open-ended quesionnaire) kepada 41 orang partisipan baik di lingkungan kerja maupun instansi pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengalaman positif dan negatif dalam menggunakan sistem digital berbasis internet. Kondisi ini dipengaruhi oleh besarnya keinginan menggunakan sistem digital berbasis internet yang tidak diingiri dengan optimalisasi penerapan sistem teknikal dan kemampuan dalam literasi digital.  AbstractThe trend of the application of internet-based digital system is one of the characteristics of the emergence of the fourth industrial revolution era. The presence of digital gap especially in Indonesia has become a particular issue. This research is aimed to discover how far the experiences of participants regarding the utilization of internet-based digital system for in work and education environments; and to discover the hopes of individuals for future development of internet-based digital system. This research was using qualitative approach through phenomenological method which focused on the essence of understanding regarding individual experiences. Data were collected through depth interview towards 2 participants and open-ended questionnaire towards 41 participants either in work environment or educational institution. The research results have indicated that there are positive and negative experiences in the application of internet-based digital system. Positive experiences occur from high benefits which acquired from the application of internet-based digital system. While negative experiences occur from the high desire to use internet-based digital system which not adjusted to the optimization of technical system implementation, the policy digital system application and the capability in digital literacy. These condition become the hope of individuals for internet-based digital system in the future.

Empathy and homophily communication in campaigns is important to garner public support in the era of democracy. Loyal community support can be achieved if political actors make empathy and homophile communication appropriately. This study aims to find out how empathy and homophile communication carried out by Gus, a legislative candidate, is able to win votes from a community that is basically apathetic to politics, namely the thoriqoh congregation. The research method used is a qualitative approach, with in-depth interview and observation data collection techniques. The results showed that the communication of empathy and homophilia carried out by Gus, made it seen as part of the Thoriqoh congregation itself thus increasing its credibility. The homophile aspect fulfilled by Gus so that he gets full loyal support from the Thoriqoh congregation is in terms of equality in dressing, religion, speaking, behaving, and in carrying out rituals.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk pertukaran sosial dalam kegiatan Julo-Julo serta fungsi pertukaran sosial dalam ekonomi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yakni teori resiprositas. Dari hasil yang diperoleh Julo-Julo dalam konteks pertukaran sosial di Desa Merah Pupuk, Kecamatan Atu Lintang, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah yaitu Julo-Julo bahan-bahan pokok untuk acara pernikahan dan hajatan merupakan Julo-Julo bahan-bahan pokok yang dikumpulkan oleh ketua pengurus Julo-Julo ketika anggota Julo-Julo menggelar sebuah acara pernikahan dan hajatan. Menggunakan metode Julo-Julo bahan-bahan pokok yaitu sesuai dengan kriteria, di mana kriteria tersebut adalah anggota Julo-Julo yang paling membutuhkan yaitu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan secara materil. Bentuk pertukaran yang ada pada masyarakat yaitu resiprositas sebanding dan resiprositas umum. Fungsi pertukaran dalam Julo-Julo bagi masyarakat di Desa Merah Pupuk yaitu untuk mengatasi hambatan-hambatan yang ada ketika menggelar acara pernikahan dan hajatan seperti keterbatasan modal uang, keterbatasan tenaga kerja rewang (orang yang membantu) dan keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana. Kata Kunci: resiprositas;  julo-julo; pertukaran sosial.   Abstract: This study aims to determine the form of social exchange in Julo-Julo activities and the function of social exchange in the economy. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used in this research is reciprocity theory. From the results obtained by Julo-Julo in the context of social exchange in Merah Pupuk Village, Atu Lintang District, Central Aceh Regency, namely Julo-Julo, basic ingredients for weddings and celebrations, Julo-Julo, basic ingredients collected by the chairman of the julo management. -julo when members of Julo-Julo hold a wedding and celebration. Using the Julo-Julo method, the basic ingredients are in accordance with the criteria, where the criteria are the Julo-Julo members who need the most, namely to meet material needs. The forms of exchange that exist in society are proportional reciprocity and general reciprocity. The function of exchange in Julo-Julo for the community in Merah Pupuk Village is to overcome the obstacles that exist when holding weddings and celebrations such as limited financial capital, limited rewang (people who help) and limited facilities and infrastructure. The present study aimed at finding out the efforts made by teachers to improve the outcomes of Islamic education (PAI) learning undertaken by IV grade students at SDN 156 in Bangun Jaya village, Rejang Lebong regency. This study used a qualitative approach, and the data were collected using observation and interview techniques. After data collection, analyses were carried out with the following stages: selecting data, presenting data, and drawing conclusion. This study concluded that the efforts made by teachers in improving students’ learning outcomes of PAI included: asking the principal to add learning hours outside PAI teaching hours; communicating with students’ parents to remind their children of rehearsing lessons at home; making evaluations before and after the lessons; choosing approaches or methods that appealed to students; making use of learning media to make it easier to explain the materials so that the materials were easily understood by students; and using the reward and punishment methods. The description of PAI learning outcomes for the fourth grade students was quite good because all students’ values in the school year of 2019-2020 could be seen from the results of their semester which had reached the specified KKM standard.
