Abstract Synopsis. The paper describes approaches used when creating a comprehensive strategy for the development of low-permeable gas deposits of the Turonian age. Unlike to common techniques based on the experience of the previous development, the authors propose to optimize each of the constituent components of the development design, taking into account their contribution to the overall designing cycle. The efficient development strategy and technology will allow expanding the resource base of hydrocarbons at the expense of gas targets of the Turonian deposits, substantiating the efficiency of potentially promising areas of unallocated areas of the deposits.

This article considers the influence of financial support on developing the territory`s touristic potential. Having applied economic-mathematical and statistical methods, the authors have analyzed the touristic and investment potential of Kirov region. They have come to the conclusion that the financing of developing the territory`s touristic and investment potential is performed mainly using the federal and regional budget funds within the framework of the approved Development Strategy of Territories, the share of private investment is rather small. Using the methods of logical qualitative judgments and scientific assessment on the basis of the existing Program for Tourism Development Program in Kirov region, the authors have offered a two-stage innovative scenario for developing the territory. This scenario relies on the available resource base and its development prospects on account of additional financing. Attracting additional investments in developing the touristic potential of Kirov region is possible due to the image promotion of the region, the popularization and enhancement of the status of events held on its territory, as well as the development of infrastructure facilities. In our opinion, the possibility to invest in developing infrastructure facilities is of prime importance as infrastructure facilities greatly affect the increase in tourist flow of the region.

The development of the metal processing industry requires paying attention both to the environmental safety of technologies of metal processing and to the energy costs. We will look at the economic impact of reducing production costs by saving resources and using environmental engineering tools. Minimizing the cost of protecting the air and water, soils and perennial plantings, recycling and disposal of waste and protecting natural landscapes are an important aspect of the company’s development strategy. The article discusses the implementation of elements of strategies announced by the largest steel companies—Novolipetsk and Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plants, and Severstal PJSC. The definition of strategy has been given. The strategy, on the one hand, is presented as an element of the enterprise’s interaction with the external environment. On the other hand, it is seen from the point of view of the company’s activity on three levels: corporate–business–functional, each of which, in its turn, consists of certain elements. We highlight the main elements of company’s strategies, which are (generalized) as a combination of operational efficiency and cost reduction (functional strategies)—for all the companies, as well as market leadership (corporate strategy)—only for NLMP. The SWOT-analysis of the activities of all companies highlighted common characteristics of their traits: low growth of the world and domestic economy, low level of use of metallurgical capacity worldwide; the policy of protectionism that replaced globalization, the introduction of duties to enter the markets, the fact that domestic companies have their own resource base, the full production cycle, and other factors. As a general conclusion, despite the complexity of the external environment, companies try to adhere to the stated strategy and maintain high performance of operating efficiency and dividends. Companies can be considered to be confirming to their strategies and a system of planned indicators.

AbstractThere are high aspirations to foster growth in Namibia’s Zambezi region via the development of tourism. The Zambezi region is a core element of the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA), a mosaic of areas with varying degrees of protection, which is designed to combine nature conservation and rural development. These conservation areas serve as a resource base for wildlife tourism, and growth corridor policy aims to integrate the region into tourism global production networks (GPNs) by means of infrastructure development. Despite the increasing popularity of growth corridors, little is known about the effectiveness of this development strategy at local level. The mixed-methods approach suggests a link between a tandem of infrastructure development and tourism-oriented policies on the one hand, and increased value creation from tourism in the region on the other hand. Yet, the promises of tourism-driven development reach only a very limited number of rural residents.

This conceptual study is intended to describe some problems of coastal region development and also try to formulate alternative strategy which can be done. Although its natural resources is very rich which is indicated by slope slightly of coastal and type of land is enough fertile, but some classical problems still occur, that is: a) still many communities are isolated, and b) social structure of community indicated to social polarization (two class community). Based on these features, so that some development strategy can be formulated, that is: (1) for isolated rural communities, the development strategy which can be done, is combine the participative and welfare strategy, and (2) for coastal rural, is suggested to do comprehensive strategy which is combine three development strategy, that is growth, welfare, and participative strategy. In this article, the author concludes that the institution of plenipotentiaries of the President in the federal districts is a legal tool of the President of Russia, which was created to facilitate the exercise of his powers in the federal districts, which can and should be applied in the process of monitoring the implementation of the Development Strategy Implementation Plan mineral resource base of Russia until 2035, even despite the fact that authorized representatives in federal districts are not indicated in the text of the Strategy as part of controlling persons. The territorial bodies of the Federal Subsoil Use Agency (Rosnedra), established at the level of federal districts, should be the conductors of this control: the provisions on the establishment of territorial bodies of the Rosnedra at the level of federal districts contain regulatory provisions that allow direct interaction with the Presidential plenipotentiary representatives in federal districts. In addition, Presidential Decree No. 849 of May 13, 2000, which established federal districts and plenipotentiaries, directly indicates the possibility of plenipotentiaries to monitor the implementation of orders of the Government of Russia — the Strategy was approved in the form of a government order.
