The article focuses on the organization of the educational process in higher education. The author, in particular, believes that lectures and practical classes should begin and end with a warm-up, which implies doing short exercises. With the help of specially conducted research, the paper analyzes the structural features of training warm-ups, clarifies their differences from business warm-ups used during training, and also considers the specifics of using warm-ups in higher education from a substantive and organizational point of view. The conclusions are made considering the opinions of teachers and students who already have experience of doing warm-ups. The scientific novelty of the publication lies in bringing better understanding of the opportunities that open up with using warm-ups in the educational process. The article classifies them according to various criteria: the type of activity, mass character, the desired result, the format of the event. In addition, the author summarized his own practical experience of using business training tools during the preparation of bachelors and undergraduates gave examples of the most popular exercises in each group of the warm-up matrix. Special attention is paid to the warm-ups accompanying webinars, which continues to be extremely relevant in the light of the modern transition to a mixed format of training in vocational education. The article is intended for teachers and students of higher and secondary professional educational organizations.

The use of film within the context of the classroom may generate great interest from teachers and students. From the point of view of Geography and History classes, it can provide indications to analyse and understand spaces, times and societies reflected in the images. It can be used as an object to be explored in teaching-learning context, in several teaching levels. In this text it is intended to reflect, from a theoretical point of view, on the relation between movie and history, considering the film as an analysis object and investigation instrument, as well as builder of historic environments and landscapes.

There are several studies in the literature that emphasize the link between CLIL and student motivation for learning. The same does not apply for teachers – who teach a non-language subject through a foreign language – whose motivation for teaching in CLIL should not be taken for granted. Our research is an inquiry in the Italian upper secondary school with a dual focus: a main focus on CLIL teachers and a secondary one on CLIL students. The main aim of this cross-sectional study is to offer a snapshot of the existing situation from the point of view of teachers’ and students’ perceptions one year after the introduction of the legal requirement for compulsory CLIL, with a view to reflecting on the present in order to hypothesize possible future developments. The obtained results – which confirm the association between the motivational dimension of the CLIL teacher with the cognitive, affective and relational ones, and with the motivational dimension of CLIL students – are interpreted and discussed in the light of the most recent theoretical developments and suggestions for future practice and research are offered.

Abstract. In this difficult pandemic period, the imminent changes have mainly affected physical activity and particularly physical education lessons at all education levels. This is a reality for both urban and rural schools. While the transmission of information through the online environment is done without too many obstacles in other purely theoretical teaching activities, in physical education, the transmission and acquisition of knowledge but especially evaluation have been and are still affected. In this paper, we aimed to identify the main constraints in conducting online physical education lessons from the subjective point of view of students, parents and teachers. We also set out to make a comparison between the views of urban and rural actors. The assessed period was from March to December 2020, when the activity took place only online due to the “red code”. The survey was carried out between December 7-18, the last school week of the year. The conclusion showed that parents, teachers and students had different opinions on the main difficulties encountered during this period. Students’responses mainly highlighted their poor knowledge of using educational platforms, inappropriate space for practical activities and lack of connection devices. Parents’ responses focused on both their impossibility of supervising children and reduced possibilities of supporting them due to lack of knowledge or time. From the perspective of teachers, we identified their impossibility of actively monitoring students’ health and problems related to the verification of compliance with labour protection rules during practice.

The HISPACAT database of syntactic constructions in Catalan and Spanish is a dynamic comparative grammar of two closely related languages, which, from a theoretical point of view, offers us a alternative viewpoint to advance in our understanding of the ``atoms'' of linguistic microvariation, and to offer a snapshot of microparametric (in)variance, which will help us to predict less stable parts of the grammar, and hence more sensitive to syntactic change or interference phenomena. Moreover, this tool, which is conceived as a major empirical source for testing syntactic microvariation, may also prove helpful for researchers in bilingualism and language contact studies, and for teachers and students of Catalan or Spanish as L2.

The multi-currency basket is an exchange rate regime in which the currency is pegged to several foreign currencies. The basket is defined by its composing foreign currencies, and by the weighting of each currency in the basket. The exchange rate in such a regime is pegged to a weighted basket of currencies. We propose to present the benefits and the drawbacks of such an exchange rate regime from a macroeconomic and financial point of view. We also formulate mathematically a general theory of Foreign Exchange in the case of a currency under the regime of a multi-currency basket. The creation ex nihilo of a general model for a multi-currency basket results in equations applicable in all cases. The article covers theoretical and practical aspects of this exchange rate regime, responding to the most concrete issues faced by financial markets’ professionals, and should also interest academics, teachers and students.
