Mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) is the third most essential legume crop commodity after soybeans and peanuts. Mung bean production faced problems of nutrient-poor land and soil texture that does not support soybean growth. The solution to overcome these obstacles is the application of mycorrhizae in nutrient-poor soils. This study aimed to determine the effect of various inoculums and mycorrhizal doses on growth and production in mung beans. This study used a Completely Randomized Design with nine treatments and three replications. The research included mycorrhizal inoculation with various treatments, as well as observations with variable plant height, plant biomass, number of pods, wet weight and dry weight of pods, the weight of 50 wet and dry seeds, mycorrhizal infection in roots, and number of spores in 100 gr of soil. The data were analyzed by SPSS 15.0 program for ANOVA. The results indicated that granular (30 gr) had the highest plant height of (41.33 cm), crown weight (30.69 gr), number of pods, wet and dry pod weight is 13.66, 9.84 gr, and 8.86 gr, respectively, 50 kg of wet and dry weight (3.82 and 3.20) and the highest effect on the number of spores at 29.33. The 30 gr tablets treatment showed the highest results on root weight (22.98 gr), while the 30 gr mixture showed the highest results on the percentage of infection (73.33%).

Areca nut is widely used as industrial raw material, both for health and cosmetics and as a source of renewable energy. This study aimed to examine the combination of seed bombatriconditioning and LEISA fertilization treatments that were effective in increasing the growth of areca nut seedlings. The research was carried out in the Wua-Wua Kendari Village, from March to July 2021. The study used a split-plot design with a completely randomized design (CRD). The main plot is seed biomatriconditioning treatment which consists of 3 treatments. While the subplots were fertilized with the LEISA technique which consisted of 6 treatments so that 18 treatment combinations were obtained with 3 replications. Observations were made on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of roots, wet weight and dry weight of shoot. Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance, followed by the DMRT α0.05 if there was a significant effect. The results showed that seed biomatriconditioning treatment with rhizobacteria integrated with the LEISA technique was able to increase the growth of areca nut seedlings. The integration between L1R biomatriconditioning and the application of organic plus fertilizer + 100% inorganic fertilizer showed a better growth performance of areca nut on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of roots, wet weight and dry weight of betel nut which were significantly different with control and application 100% inorganic fertilizer, but not significantly different from organic plus fertilizer, organic plus fertilizer + 50% inorganic fertilizer and organic plus fertilizer + 25% inorganic fertilizer. As a conclusion, pre-planting seed treatment with L1R biomatriconditioning is very important to increase areca nut seed germination. To increase the growth of areca nut seedlings, further fertilization needs to be done with organic plus fertilizer or a combination of organic plus fertilizer + 25% inorganic fertilizer.

Rose is a popular cut flower in Sri Lanka and mainly cultivated for the export market. An experiment was conducted at the Crop Farm, Eastern University, Sri Lanka to assess the effects of seaweed liquid extract on growth and flowering of roses (Rosa sp.) from June to September 2018. Seven treatments of seaweed liquid extract applications (10% once a week (T1), 10% twice a week (T2), 20% once a week (T3), 20% twice a week (T4), 30% once a week (T5), 30% twice a week (T6) and distilled water (T7- control)) were applied at completely randomized design with ten replications. Plant height, leaf area, plant biomass and number of flowers were significantly higher in T3. Once a week application of 20% seaweed liquid extract had the potential to increase the plant height, leaf area, plant biomass, number of flowers and dry weight of flowers in this experiment. It might be due to the presence of nutrients and the growth promoters in the S. crassifolium L. seaweed extract and optimum concentration of seaweed extract received by plants at T3.From this experiment, it could be concluded that once a week application of 20% seaweed liquid extract is suitable for promoting growth and flowering of roses.

This research was carried out on the Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Abulyatama University, Aceh Besar. This research was conducted from September 26th to December 2nd, 2017. This research was assigned in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial with 3 replications. There were 12 combinations of treatments and 36 units of experiments. The first factor was Trichoderma viride Fertilizer (T) which consists of 4 levels: T0 = 0 gram/polybag, T1=50 g/polybag, T2=100 g/polybag, T3=150 g/polybag. The second factor was BASF NPK Fertilizers (N) consists of 3 levels: N = 0 g/polybag, N1=3 g/polybag, N2=6 g/polybag. The parameters observed in this study were plant height, bulb diameter, wet weight and dry weight of bulbs. The results revealed that various doses of T. viride fertilizer increased the plant height respectively at 20 and 40 days after planting. Surprisingly, there was no significant difference in plant height at 60 days after planting. The best results for the application of T. viride fertilizer were found in T1 (50 g/polybag). This fertilizer also exhibited insignificant results in bulb diameter, wet weight and dry weight of bulbs at all observed ages. The application of BASF NPK fertilizers did not significantly affect all observed parameters (plant height, bulb diameter, wet weight and dry weight of onion bulbs). There were no interactions due to application of T. viride fertilizer and BASF NPK fertilizers to all observed parameters.

A trial was carried out in pots at the University of Abuja, Teaching and Research Farm (TRF) to evaluate the response of Bambara groundnut varieties (TVSu 460, TVSu 617, TVSU 622) to mulch and mycorrhizal inoculation. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal inoculum (Glomus mosseae) and leguminous mulch (Calopogonium mucunoides Desv) were respectively applied at 10 g and 100 g per pot, 2 weeks after planting. The experiment was laid out in a factorial combination in a completely randomized design with 3 replications. Plant biomass and nodulation were assessed at harvest and subjected to analysis of variance using statistical package Genstat Discovery Edition. The study revealed that combined application of mulch and G. mosseae increased the fresh root weight for all varieties ranging from 10.3 - 62.5 %. G. mosseae inoculation significantly increased the nodulation and root weight of TVSu 617 and TVSu 622 but TVSu 460 was not favored by inoculation. The enhanced shoot and root weight recorded under mulch and mycorrhizae treatments on Bambara groundnut varieties particularly could be as a result of an improved soil environment occasioned by these treatments.
