<p>Flour albus is a discharge excessive that causes an adolescent girls often replace the underwear or using a bandage. Less of knowledge about flour albus may impact on adolescent girls negative attitude or less attention about flour albus. The purpose of this study was to find the factors that affected adolescent girls attitude about flour albus in Trucuk 2 Junior High School District Klaten. Study design used in this study was cross sectional. The population of 9th grade adolescent girls were 120 female students. The samples of this study were 92 adolescent girls that already menstruation. Samples were selected by simple random sampling technique. The results showed that most of adolescent girls had a good knowledge. The factors that most affected adolescent girls attitude was knowledge supported by information and experience. In conclusion, there was a significant relationship between knowledge and attitude, there was a significant relationship between experience and attitude, there was a significant relationship between source of information and attitude.</p>

Background: Adolescence is a critical period and is associated with physical and psycho-social changes induced by puberty, which builds personality, behaviour, and future health of the adolescents. Thus, the aim of the study was to find out the knowledge and attitude regarding pubertal health of adolescence girls.Methods: A descriptive cross sectional study was conducted in Bharatpur Metropolitan City’s secondary level schools. A total of 183 adolescent girls were selected using probability simple random sampling from 5 schools out of total 43 schools which were also selected by simple random sampling technique. Data was collected by using structured self-administered questionnaire for knowledge and likert’s scale was used for attitude regarding pubertal health. Results: Study findings revealed that 61.4% of the students belonged to early adolescence (11-14) age group with the mean age 14.27±1.33 years. Majority (80.3%) had moderate level of knowledge and around half (48.6%) had positive attitude. Knowledge and attitude varied with the respondents’ level of education (p=0.001), relation to sibling (p=0.013) and source of information by elder sister (p=0.022), teachers/school (p=0.001).Moderately positive correlation was found between knowledge and attitude which was highly significant (r=0.395, p<0.001).Conclusions: Majority of respondents had moderate level of knowledge and half of the respondent had positive attitude regarding pubertal health. Findings of the study emphasizes on improvement in education of adolescent girls which can help uplift health status and minimize vulnerability to health issues of pubertal health. Background: Adolescents face the problem of bullying, they need social support from those around them to have confidence in their abilities. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and social support with bullying in adolescents at Junior High School 2 Sepatan, Tangerang Regency. Methods: The research design is cross-sectional using the spearman correlation test to analyze the relationship between variables. The sampling technique was simple random sampling with 127 respondents. The instrument uses a self-efficacy questionnaire, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, and The revised Olweus Bully or Victim Questionnaire. Results: There is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and bullying (p-value 0.031) and there is a significant relationship between social support and bullying (p-value 0.001). Conclusion: There is a relationship between self-efficacy and social support for victims of bullying in adolescents. This study is also useful for parents that teenagers need support in getting through the effects of bullying.

Background: Adolescence in girls has been recognized as a special period which signifies the transition from girlhood to womanhood. Menstruation is generally considered as unclean in the society. Isolation of the menstruating girls and restrictions being imposed on them in the family, have reinforced a negative attitude towards this phenomenon. And the issue of menstrual hygiene is inadequately acknowledged and has not received proper attention.Methods: Quantitative approach with descriptive cross-sectional design was used to assess the knowledge regarding menstrual hygiene among adolescent girls. A structured knowledge questionnaire was developed focusing on menstrual hygiene. Validity was ensured in consultation with guides and experts in the field of nursing, medicine and statistics. Reliability of the tool was tested by test retest method and found to be highly reliable with a score of 0.80. The study was carried out in 2 schools of Dharan, Nepal. About 100 adolescent girls were selected by simple random sampling technique. Structured knowledge questionnaire was used to collect needed data on knowledge of adolescent girls. The data collected were tabulated and analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics.Results: Maximum numbers 42 of the subjects were in the age group of 12 years, majority i.e. 81 of the subjects belonged to nuclear family, majority i.e. 39 of the subjects were in 7th standard, maximum of 72 subjects belonged to Hindu  religion, majority i.e.79 had family income below 5000, majority of the subjects 35 had their first menstruation at the age of 14, 35 subjects father were self-employed, 60 subjects had their mothers as government employee , majority of the respondents, 80 had previous knowledge on menstrual hygiene. Majority of the subjects 70% had average knowledge, 25% of them had poor knowledge and only 5% had good knowledge regarding menstrual hygiene. There was a significant association of knowledge adolescent girls with demographic variables such as age at first menstruation.Conclusions: Present study showed overall average knowledge of menstrual hygiene in adolescent girls. Formal as well as informal channels of communication need to be emphasized for the delivery of information on menstrual hygiene through organized community efforts. Institutions and organizations at community level should be strengthened for effective delivery of health and nutrition care services for overall better health of community beneficiaries.

Physical changes in teenager is a principal characteristic from biologic process in puberty age. The wrong attitude in confront of physical changes can make girl dislike moreover hate the physical changesthat she’s got, so the parent have an important role to girl’s attitude. The objective of this research is to analyze the correlation of girls perception about parenting education type with the attitude of teenagerfacing physical changes in puberty age in Student of 7th class of Junior High School 13 Malang City. This research is using observational with cross sectional. Number of population 120 students, number of sample 92 students, with simple random sampling technique. Data collecting applies questioner sheet filled out by the respondent. Data is showing table type and text. The result of research is using chisquare showing that majority of respondent are democratic type about 59 students (64,1%). Majority of respondent (64,1%) have negative attitude (unfavorable) in confront of physical changes, and the girls that have perception democratic type have negative attitude (unfavorable) in confront of physical changes. Then, be obtain value x2 table (5,991), and the conclusion that there is no Corelation between perception about Parenting Education Type with Attitude Facing Physical Changes in Puberty Age.Keyword: girls, parenting education type, physical change

Survey result show that there has happened the increase number of teenagers who do free sex before marriage. That big ammount is a serrious threat to family, society and nation. This research aims at confirming the correlation between knowledge and attitude to the free sex behavior of senior high school teenagers. This research used analytic research design and cross sectional approach by population of all students of X,XI and XII grade as many as 560 graders. The sample was taken by 100 respondents using simple random sampling technique this research was done on may 2016 by using questionnaire sheets. It was done at SMAN 01 Tembilahan. While the data analyzed by using univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-Square Test. The result show that 47%s students have good knowledge, 79% of them have negative attitude to free sex, and 61% have less good behavior. The test result show that there is a corelation between knowledge and free sex behavior, the score of “p value” is 0,016 and there is a correlation between attitude ti the free sex behaviou, the score of “p value” is 0,035. There is a correlation between knowledge and attitude to the free sex behavior. This research result expected can be used as suggestion to prevant the increase of free sex before marriage. And for the next researchers can research another varriable which are maybe give impact to the teenagers free sex behaviour.

<p><em>Pulmonary Tuberculosis is one of the infectious diseases that become the main problem of Indonesian society. Based on a survey conducted at Andalas Public Health Centre obtained PMO (supervisor taking medicine) TB Lungless provide support to the patient of Pulmonary TB.. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitude with the support of family as the PMO of Pulmonary TB patients. The study was conducted at the Andalas Public Health Centre Padang in 2017. The type of descriptive analytic research using a cross-sectional approach with a sample of 59 people taken from a population of 145 people PMO using simple random sampling systematic techniques. The results showed that 27.1% of PMO was not good at providing support, 32.2% knowledge was low, and 37.3% had a negative attitude. Chi-square test concluded that there is a significant correlation between knowledge (p = 0,036), and attitude (p = 0,000), with family support as PMO in Public health centre working area Andalas Padang of the year 2017. The result of this research can be used as a reference in improving TB program Lung so it can reduce the incidence of Pulmonary TB in Public health centre working area Andalas Padang.</em><em></em></p><p> </p><p><em>Tuberkulosis Paru merupakan salah satu penyakit menular yang menjadi masalah utama masyarakat Indonesia. Berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan di Puskesmas Andalas Kota Padang didapatkan sebahagian PMO (pengawas minum obat) TB Paru kurang memberikan dukungan kepada penderita TB Paru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap dengan dukungan keluarga sebagai PMO penderita TB Paru.Penelitian dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Andalas Padang Tahun 2017. Jenis penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectionaldengan sampel sebanyak 59 orang yang diambil dari populasi 145 orang PMO menggunakan teknik sistematik simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 27,1% PMO kurang baik dalam memberikan dukungan, 32,2% pengetahuan rendah, dan 37,3% mempunyai sikap negatif. Uji chi-square disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan (p= 0,036), dan sikap (p=0,000), dengan dukungan keluarga sebagai PMO di Wilayah kerja Puskesmas Andalas Padang Tahun 2017. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan referensi dalam meningkatkan program TB Paru sehingga dapat menurunkan angka kejadian TB Paru di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Andalas Padang</em></p>

<p><em>The number of medical personnel in the Padang City is still a shortage of the amount required is 83 people, but this time medical personnel numbered 53 people. This research was carried out by combining two types of research are mixed method, preceded by a quantitative research with cross sectional approach, followed by qualitative research. The study was conducted in Primary Health Care Padang City. The population in this study are all medical personnel in the Padang City with a sample of 38 people, with a sampling technique is simple random sampling. The bivariate analysis known there are significant relationship between work (p = 0,023), compensation (p = 0,001), supervision (p = 0,001) and the relationship between employees (p = 0,000) with job satisfaction. But there is no relationship promotion with job satisfaction (p = 0,208). The conclusion of the study there are significant relationship between work, compensation, supervision and the relationship between employees with job satisfaction.</em></p>

Background: Abortion is public health concern in many parts of the world and is also contentious issue with religious, moral, cultural and political dimensions. Awareness program has most essential role to prevent the unusual death of mothers in the world.Objectives: To assess the knowledge and attitude on legalization of abortion among undergraduate students.Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive research design was used for this study. Proportionate stratified sampling technique and simple random sampling technique was used to select the subjects. Total 90 students were chosen as a sample and structured self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data.Results: The mean age of the respondents was 19.82. Most 58 (64.40%) of the respondents were females; majority 76 (84.40%) of the respondents were of upper caste group. Most 85 (94.4%) of the respondents had adequate knowledge on legalization of abortion and majority 83 (94.30%) of the respondents had positive attitude towards legalization of abortion. The study shows that the most knowledgeable area was on concept of abortion (88.55%) and the least knowledgeable (58.00%) area was on method of abortion. Factors like age, gender, residence and educational faculty were not found to be associated with knowledge on legalization of abortion.Conclusions: Undergraduate students had good level of knowledge and attitude on legalization of abortion. Highest knowledge was present in concept of abortion and lowest in methods of abortion. More awareness program should be accessible to undergraduates in order to increase the level of knowledge. Judul : Faktor-Faktor Yang Berhubungan Dengan Gejala Neurotoksik Akibat Paparan Pestisida Pada Petani Sayuran Di Kenagarian Alahan Panjang Kabupaten SolokLatar belakang: Sekitar 60% petani penyempro sayur di Kanagarian Alahan Panjang mempunyai riwayat gejala neurotoksik.. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan gejala gangguan syaraf pada petani penyemprot yang menggunakan pestisida di Kanagarian Alahan Panjang Kabupaten Solok.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Subyek penelitian sebanyak 75 responden. Penarikan sampel dilakukan secara random. Variabel yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini meliputi jenis pestisida, komposisi pestisida, pemakaian alat pelindung diri, dan gejala neurotoksik. Instrument penelitian menggunakan kuesioner Q18 versi Jerman. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi-square pada taraf signifikasi 5%.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 62,7% petani penyemprot sayuran pernah mengalami gejala neurotoksik. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan ada hubungan signifikan antara jumlah dan komposisi pestisida yang digunakan dengan gangguan neurotoksik pada petani sayuran (p-value <0,05). Sedang kebiasaan pemakaian alat pelindung diri tidak berpengaruh terhadap kejadian gangguan neorotoksin.  Simpulan: Jumlah dan komposisis pestisida berhubungan dengan gangguan neurotoksik pada petani sayuran di Kanagarian Alahan Kabupaten Solok. Petani sayur disarankan untuk memperhatian komposis pestidian dan tidak menggunakan secara berlebihan dalam menyemprot sayuran. AbstractTitle: Factors related with neurotoxic symptoms on pesticides exposed vegetable farmer in Kanagarian Alahan Panjang, Solok DistrictBackground: Around 60% of vegetable farmer sprayer in Kenagarian Alahan Panjang have experienced of the neurotoxic symptoms. The purpose of this study was to determine factors associated with neurotoxic symptoms on vegetable farmer sprayer with pesticide in Kenagarian Alahan Panjang Solok District in 2016. Method: Type of this research was quantitative using cross-sectional design. The sample were 75 respondents. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. Processing data using univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square test. Results: The result of this research showed (62,7%) vegetable farmer sprayer have experienced of the neurotoxic symptoms. Bivariate analysis showed there were significant relationship (p<0,05) between pesticide composition and amount of pesticide with neurotoxic symptoms. There was no significant relationship between use of personal protective equipment with neurotoxic symptoms. Conclusion: The number and compostion of pesticides were factors which had associated significantly with neurotoxic symptoms. It was suggested to vegetable farmers to change organofosfat pesticide which was not dangerous to health like faction of pyrethroids. Vegetable farmers were suggested to use appliance protector of X’self completely when activity of mixing and application of pesticide.

Background. Pain management is a very important aspect of nursing care among postoperative patients. Deficit in the knowledge and bad attitude towards pain management among nurses remain a problem in Ghana. In order to manage pain better in the surgical wards, nurses should be well equipped with knowledge of pain assessment and management. Purpose. The purpose of the study was to determine nurse’s knowledge and attitude towards pain management among postoperative patients in surgical units in Ghana. Methodology. This study used the quantitative study approach with a descriptive cross-sectional study design. A sample of 211 nurses was recruited using the convenience sampling method. Data were collected using a questionnaire regarding postoperative pain management. Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and the chi-squared test were used to analyze the data using SPSS version 16.0. Results. The mean age of the nurses was 29.77, with the youngest nurse being 23 years and oldest being 39 years. Majority (72.5%) of nurses had moderate knowledge, and 89.6% of the nurses had negative attitude towards pain management. There was no significant relationship between nurse’s knowledge and years of experience as a nurse (r = −0.03, p=0.64), as well as no significant relationship between knowledge and number of years working in the surgical ward (r = 0.06, p=0.36). Also, there was no significant relationship between nurses’ knowledge and nurses’ attitude (r = 0.06, p=0.36). Conclusion and recommendation. The level of knowledge and attitude towards postoperative management were generally inadequate among nurses. Therefore, there is the need to implement in-service training on pain management for nurses working in the surgical units frequently.
