The program aims to improve the knowledge and welfare of the Family Welfare Empowerment or abbreviated as PKK group through cultivation of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) and reduce organic waste by utilizing it as BSF growing media. Reusing organic waste is an effective way to reduce waste such as vegetables and fruits. Increasing organic waste in Sungguminasa Central Market causes the society needs in knowledge and information on managing the organic waste to become economically valuable products. Based on the observations, the black soldier fly program as fish feed in term (Lady Kaka) was used as main solution because BSF in maggot phase consumes the organic waste. The program involves seven people from PKK group with majority of housewives who do not have fixed income. The implementation of this program consists of 3 phases, namely initial preparation phase which includes observation, administration, and provision of tools and materials, implementation phase which includes training and activation of PKK group, and the last is monitoring and evaluation phase. The results achieved were the transfer of knowledge through training activities to PKK group about BSF cultivation and its management to become fish feed and product marketing to increase the productivity and prosperity of PKK group as well as reducing the trash in Sungguminasa Central Market due to being utilized as growing media of BSF

Law on National Development Planning System (Number 25/2004) mandates that Development planning must refer to the consideration that the goal of development of all government levels is the same, namely the welfare of the community. Empowerment is a concept to give people greater responsibility for how to do work. The potential of Sukaratu village consists of agriculture, livestock, tourism objects, handicrafts, cultivation and plantations. Among these potentials, the authors take the economic empowerment potential of cultivating black soldier fly maggot as an alternative ingredients for fish feed and reducing organic waste, so that it can increase the income of the people of Sukaratu. The research method used is qualitative and quantitative research; observation and interviews in an effort to obtain data. The results showed that the potential of Sukaratu village consisted of agriculture, animal husbandry, tourism objects, handicrafts, cultivation and plantations, the potential of human resources in terms of age and education was good, but in terms of business creativity and business skills, need to be improved. Maggot cultivation can reduce organic waste. The capital is not large enough because it only requires terraced media and houses that are given nets for broodstock to lay eggs.

The Community Partnership Program "Development of the Blind Massage Services in East Wara Subdistrict, Palopo City, South Sulawesi Province" is aimed at: (1) Developing and enhancing the participation of people with disabilities in the national and regional development, (2) Improving the standard of living of the Blind , as an effort aimed at absorbing workforce among disabiltas in Palopo City. Massage comes from the Arabic word "mash" which means "to press gently" or the Greek word "massien" which means "to massage or to scrub". Furthermore, massage is also referred to as the science of massage or lulut science. The focus of massage developed in the Community Blind Massage Program "Blind Massage Services in Palopo City, South Sulawesi Province, namely Massage Health, Therapy and Sports (recovery and sports injuries). Disabilities tendency of the Blind have disabilities and expertise to perform massage services because the Blind in the disabilities in every activity he does on a daily basis rely on the sense of "touch" especially the palm of the hand so that it has more sensitivity than humans in general. This is what makes the blind people with disabilities have talents and expertise in the field of massage or sciences. Partners in the Community Partnership Program are the Harapan Sehat Massage Clinic. Mitra has run a business and Massage Service with a turnover of Rp. 3,000,000 to Rp. 4,000,000 per month, while the number of workers joined in this business unit is five (4) people. Partner problems include service quality (production results), business management, marketing systems. Partner Issues Include: (1) The quality of services that are still traditional so that they lack attractiveness and trust in the wider community, so it is necessary to develop a massage / massage capability that leads to a standard and scientific health approach; (2) Participating in training or providing training for the Blind Massage Services; (3) Touch of massage technology; (4) Business management, there is no business management pattern that meets the standards and the division of work has not been directed and business motivation is lacking due to disability factors; (5) The marketing system, information patterns and publications are still very traditional, that is, from the mouth-mouth so that it becomes a separate obstacle in seizing potential markets; (6) Does not have a clear business plan; (7) Lack of capital to establish a Blind Massage Services clinic and attend massage training in order to have an increase in the ability of more scientific and scientific massage services. Based on the complexity of these problems, this dedication activity will focus on the development of Business Management and Development of massage (massage) service capabilities. The program is carried out in 3 (three) stages, namely: the flow of the PKM program starts from, 1) the preparation phase, 2) the implementation phase, and 3) the monitoring and evaluation phase. Key Word: Blind, Massage Services.

The utilization of maggot as larvae from black soldier fly is an alternative substitution of fish meal as the primary protein source in fish feed. Maggot is cultivated in 3 different cultivation, the medium used is organic waste, tofu waste, and wheat pollard. The method that used in this research is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replication. This study aims to determine the effect of various types of maggot growth media, 1) with maggot biomass parameters, containers, and growing media conditions maggot, 2) then, exact proximate composition, total amino acids content of the prepupae samples were determined. Based on the results of the analysis, each dose of treatment (media) has an influence on the different maggot biomass. The best media treatment results are pollard flour. The proximate analysis showed that BSF larvae had a protein content of 50,88% and also fat content of 15%.

One third of food produced globally is wasted. Disposal of this waste is costly and is an example of poor resource management in the face of elevated environmental concerns and increasing food demand. Providing this waste as feedstock for black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae (BSFL) has the potential for bio-conversion and valorisation by production of useful feed materials and fertilisers. We raised BSFL under optimal conditions (28 °C and 70% relative humidity) on seven UK pre-consumer food waste-stream materials: fish trimmings, sugar-beet pulp, bakery waste, fruit and vegetable waste, cheese waste, fish feed waste and brewer’s grains and yeast. The nutritional quality of the resulting BSFL meals and frass fertiliser were then analysed. In all cases, the volume of waste was reduced (37–79%) and meals containing high quality protein and lipid sources (44.1 ± 4.57% and 35.4 ± 4.12%, respectively) and frass with an NPK of 4.9-2.6-1.7 were produced. This shows the potential value of BSFL as a bio-convertor for the effective management of food waste.

Nutritionally unbalanced organic waste can be converted into potential resources for animal and plant farming by culturing black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae (BSFL) and prepupae (BSFP). BSFL and BSFP are rich sources of protein and lipids, while the leftover excrement called “frass” can be used as an organic fertilizer. Using readily available resources, BSFL were cultured on spent coffee, donut dough or an equal blend for 35 days. Survival, productivity, daily pupation and biochemical composition of BSFL and BSFP were measured along with the nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium values of the frass. Survival was highest in the blend compared (81%) to spent coffee (45%) or dough (24%); however, BSFL and BSFP were significantly longer and heavier from dough. Stage and food significantly influenced the protein, lipid and glycogen content of the BSFL and BSFP, which tended to be higher in the latter. While fatty acids were often significantly higher in BSFL fed spent coffee, the amino acid composition of BSFL was generally higher in dough. Frass from the blend had significantly highest nitrogen content, while potassium and phosphorus were significantly higher and lower from spent coffee, respectively. Although coffee and donut dough were suboptimal substrates for BSFL, a blend of these produced BSFL and frass that were nutritionally comparable to soybean meal and many organic fertilizers, respectively.
