This research has endeavored to establish that the normalized deviant judgment ascribed to athletes caught using performance-enhancing substances in professional sports organizations is upheld only by virtue of a fallacious assumption; that a breach of the Athletes Professional Code of Conduct is equitable with a breach of both the ethos of our society and of Western professional sports organizations’ “spirit of competition”. The significance of this distortion is recognized in relation to the way professional sports organizations enforce these policies through disciplinary measures that are subjected on docile athletes – effectively measuring and judging athlete’s drug-related choices through appeal to an ideology based on an outdated and pseudo-scientific narrative. It has therefore been my intention to, through a deconstruction of the narrative, distinguish how these athletes have not so objectively disregarded the ethos of the organizations they compete in but rather that they have acted in accordance with the latent ethos of professional sports organization in contemporary Western society and have then been judged, and punished upon their violation of the misguided manifest policies. Working from this premise I have conducted a theoretical analysis of why athletes passively accept their exploitation, and developed policy diagnoses for the organizations in question.

The article analyzes the modern model for evaluating the improvement of investment activity efficiency and provides conclusions on the level of development of the current state of railway transport in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The economic effect of intensive investments is the equivalent of the costs and benefits of the difference between the result and the costs of achieving it. The economic efficiency of intensive investments is defined as the ratio of investment costs to achieving a profitable result (economic effect). The indicators characterizing the economic efficiency of intensive investments: the integrated effect, the need for additional financing, the internal rate of return, the intensive return on investment ratio, the intensive return on investment index, the innovation ratio, investment in human resources, and the effectiveness of modern corporate governance. will be included. The multiplier effect in which a set of multipliers reflects changes in production volumes, investments and industry characteristics. Analysis of specific activities shows the impact of growth indicators, given its contribution to the dynamics of the economy. An increase in investment costs will lead to an increase in production and income. This interaction is explained by the multiplier effect. The concept of the multiplier means "multiplier". The essence of the multiplier effect is that an increase in investment will lead to greater growth in national income.

During the past decade, forty-six professional sports venues were constructed in the United States, while only 16 expansion teams were created by the major sports leagues. Nearly two thirds of these newly built stadiums and arenas were funded with public tax revenues, despite substantial evidence showing no positive economic impact of new sports stadium construction on local communities. In reviewing the economic literature, this article investigates the role of professional sports organizations in the construction and public subsidization of new sports venues. Franchise relocation and public stadium subsidization is a direct result of the monopoly power of professional sports leagues, whose franchise owners extract large subsidies from their host communities by threatening to relocate to viable alternative locations. After explaining how the most common methods of stadium subsidization project a disproportionate allocation of the benefits and costs of hosting a professional team to local community interests, this article outlines several considerations for local policymakers who seek to reinvigorate public discussion of equity concerns in professional sports finance.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the extent to which dynamic pricing is utilized in North American professional sports. While industries such as airlines and travel services have employed dynamic pricing for decades, professional sports is only now starting to adopt it. Design/methodology/approach The authors survey and interview high ranking executives and managers in North American sports organizations. A total of 72 managers and executives from the four major North American professional sports leagues as well as other sport properties were surveyed. Descriptive statistics and a basic regression provide insight into perceptions v. actual practice among sports organizations. Findings While most sports organizations perceive high usage of dynamic pricing within their organization, current procedures lag. Nearly 70 percent of respondents believe that their organizations frequently or always apply business analytics to dynamic pricing, but only 30 percent update their prices daily. Fully 50 percent of organizations do not automate decision-making processes, which is a hallmark of dynamic pricing. The perception of constant use of analytics in dynamic pricing intensifies as job title increases. Originality/value As one of the initial surveys looking at the usage of dynamic pricing in North American professional sports, this study provides a glimpse into both the perception and the reality. It suggests that there is still ample room for improvement.

The paper attempts to estimate, in monetary terms, the volume of free digital services in GDP while assessing the contribution of digitalization to changes in welfare and economic growth. Approaches to such an estimation are analyzed and criticized. In particular, the calculation of the added value created in the digital sector does not properly reflect the economic effect of digitalization. Alternative auxiliary methods for estimating the contribution of digitalization to GDP growth are considered: the creation of satellite accounts of the digital economy within the SNA; the categorization and calculation of “purely” digital goods. The paper analyzes the methodology of calculating GDP which takes into account consumer surpluses from the use of free digital goods. The advantages of this methodology are outlined, including the consideration of a significant part of the digital sector of the economy in the calculation of GDP, as well as the relative ease of its use. This methodology was tested by drawing on the example of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

In order to analyze trends in tourism and tourism in Ukraine, as well as assess the socio-economic effect of the implementation of measures of state support for domestic and inbound tourism, the central executive bodies of state regions of Ukraine, carrying out executive and administrative activities in tourism, the state of the tourism industry is being monitored. Given the large recreational and tourist potential in Ukraine, there is no full-fledged system of monitoring the market of tourist services by the state. This is due to the lack of an independent executive body in the field of tourism, endowed with certain powers, and a single system of statistical indicators of the market of tourist services. Modern statistics, both at the state and regional levels, do not give a complete picture of the state of tourism. Monitoring of tourist resources, objects of the tourist industry should give a clear picture of interaction of various branches of economy of the republic for the purposes of a complex estimation of directions of improvement and efficiency of functioning of the connected branches, exclusion of interbranch disproportions which negatively affect general development. Conclusion.
