Globalization, informatization, digitalization, led to large-scale changes that have problematized the modern process of upbringing. The modern practice of upbringing in Kazakhstan is aimed at solving the problem of forming an intellectual nation. The key figure in the upbringing process is the teacher. The modernization of public consciousness taking place in Kazakhstan, the renewal of both the content of education and the system of upbringing require understanding not only the content, but also the methodology of the professional training of teachers for the upbringing of children, for the organization of the upbringing system in educational organizations. We believe that the analysis of traditional and clarification of modern methodological foundations of professional training of future teachers of Kazakhstan for upbringing work will give us the opportunity to develop a strategy for training future teachers in the conditions of spiritual renewal of Kazakhstan's society. The article reveals the experience of Abai KazNPU. As a result of the conducted research, we came to the conclusion that the process of training a teacher in Kazakhstan, who has a high degree of ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity, requires strengthening the upbringing and socializing components of the educational process of the university. The strategy of professional training of a modern teacher should be a polyparadigmatic concept with the leading role of ideas of personality-oriented, competence paradigm.

This article is devoted to the person and his views on the role of scientific activity in the life of the university and its significance for the social life. Kazimierz Marciniak represented geography and he specialized in climatology and bioclimatology. His extensive academic experience, gained through studies and scientific work at several Polish universities and in the Institute of Balneology in Poznań, made him not only an excellent researcher, but also a scholar whose views on the role of science in the life of the university and in social life were influencing the generation of representatives of many sciences who worked at the WSG University in Bydgoszcz. The convictions of the scholar in question, his broad vision of science not only as an enterprise calculated on commercial values, place him among the outstanding Polish scientists and philosophers. He shared with them not only the conviction about the cognitive function of science, which was engaged in economic activity, but also noticed its highly humanistic and ennobling role in relation to the researcher, in which the creative aspects of his work are present. Scientific work also contributes to the improvement of the educational process. Participation of a student, in any form of scientific activity, shapes his intellectual and even moral skills, educates in the spirit of the culture of the word, especially the written one. In the opinion of the discussed author, the main function of science for the entire social life is to forecast phenomena. Exploratory and exploratory functions are important, however, they are subordinated to the former. His methodological and philosophical views on the structure and dynamics of scientific theories were characterised by inductivism and probabilism. Some of his views on the questions of the nature of phenomena, the structure of reality and the relation between scientific theory and reality, were not presented in an unambiguous way; it also seems that they evolved towards anti-phenomenalism, anti-foundationalism and essentialism, which distanced him from scientism, as a worldview quite characteristic of representatives of the natural sciences of the 20th century.

Solar climate engineering is under increasing consideration as a potential means to reduce climate change risks. Its field research may generate knowledge to reduce climate risks to humans and the environment and will, at a large-enough scale, pose its own risks, some of which will be of the transboundary kind. Liability or compensation for harm is frequently referenced as a possible component of international regulation of solar climate engineering but has been insufficiently developed. This article offers an economic analysis of the possible interrelated roles of rules, liability, and compensation in the future international regulation of large-scale field research in solar climate engineering. Notably, the benefits, risks, and incentives of climate-engineering research are unlike typical high-risk activities. The analysis proposes a hypothetical international agreement that links general and procedural rules for research, an international compensation fund, and limited, indirect state liability with a duty-of-care defence.

The essence and content of the competent approach determine values, since the formation of value-orientations is the main goal of upbringing the personality in the university educational space. Optimization of the process of student youth value-orientations formation through the competence approach involves the continuous enrichment of the inner world of the individual. Changes in the value-orientations of student youth emphasize the importance of the whole system of educational work at the university, the search for and introduction of new forms and methods of working with student youth. An important task of the higher education institution is the creation of university educational space, which will promote the creation of conditions for the development of social and creative activity of student youth, their attraction to the values and meanings of social life, national and universal values formation and assimilation by students towards oneself, family, people, creative work, nature, society and the state. At the same time, special attention is given to solving the problems of the formation and development of the unity of the student group, the mutual understanding of students and teachers, the satisfaction of students cultural needs, especially the interest in the national and civic orientations of the student's personality, the needs of each student in constant self-improvement; a positive motivation for students to have a healthy lifestyle, and a desire to participate in community activities at the university. The article analyzes one of the peculiarities of organization of educational process at the Faculty of Philology, namely the use of elements of performing art in literary studies and extracurricular activity. The main ways of interaction between theatre and University in this field are visiting theatre, discussing plays, creating amateur theatres, writing literary scripts, plays, reviews, research articles and monographs dedicated to development of theatre and drama. It also contains the analysis of activity of the most prolific amateur theatres directors, these are V. Sachenko, A. Svashenko, O. Chuguj, L. Osmolovskyj, V. Svirskyj, their success in putting plays by Ukrainian and world literature classic playwrights on the stage. This article covers the history of founding and directing student theatres in the plays “Epiphany”, “The Twelve Chairs”, “Arabesque” and others, directing their own plays based on works dedicated to H. Skovoroda (“The Great Prophecy”) and V. Karazin (“Treacherous Destiny”), crash Bolshevist total-colonial regime and him consequence (“Attempt on the Devil”). The research makes an emphasize on the importance of mutual managing of large-scale creative projects, group watching and discussion of film adaptations of O. Dovzhenko (“The Poem about the Sea”), M. Sholokhov (“And Quiet Flows the Don”) as well as on creating the first university-based film studio. The article also shows that as the students of the Kharkiv University N. Zabila, O. Kolomiiets, R. Polonskyj, A. Zhytnytskyj, I. Perepeliak and L. Toma were active in providing the written literary basis for theatres, cinema and television of Ukraine. The foremost determined reason of graduates of the University (Yu. Stanishevskyj, V. Savchenko, V. Svirskyj, S. Oleshko) dedicated themselves to theatre is long and thorough mastering the secrets of Melpomene’s art during studying at the Faculty of Philology. We conclude that it is necessary to include in curriculum an extra course called “Basics of the Performing Art” for the humanitarian schools, as well as to open and manage student theatres.

Purpose. The present work investigates the impact of the pedagogy approaches in the teaching e-resource of low-motivated students.Materials and Methods. The pilot study involves about 1000 first-year undergraduates of the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (NWIM RANEPA). Introductory part of the lecture is traditional. “Motivational” part varies depending on e-resource and includes a demonstration of all possible advantages for target audience — uniqueness, quality, advantages over open resources. In addition, the material is organized so as to provide multiple entries into the interface.Results. We studied statistics of visits to e-resources for 2 calendar years (before the introduction of new methods in 2016 and after — in 2017), and conducted surveys of students at the end of training. We got the apparent increase of visits when the pedagogical approach and the methods of training are changed.Discussion and conclusions. Research findings have illustrated the importance of support to the low-motivated students in their educational process by new approaches to the training. The librarian-teacher in this role is the link between the e-resource and the consumer, and their role is important for achieving the best results for both the organization and students. The authors are conscious that the interest in subscription resources would probably decline in the future. The keeping this interest is beyond the scope of this study. The data obtained and the conclusions made can be useful at all stages of the students’ training at any year of study.

The purpose of the present investigation was to develop a behavioral measure of attitude change and examine its utility for large-scale field research efforts. Three groups were formed from 68 junior and senior high school students and each was presented with a different form (positive, fear, neutral) of a communication within the context of a public school system's ongoing dental hygiene program. Cleanliness of their teeth was measured by a chemical in tablet form called a “disclosing tablet” which, when chewed, stains red the areas of concentration of bacterial placque on the teeth. This study involved taking a 35-mm. color slide of each S's mouth before and 2 wk. after the experimental communication. Preliminary results lend support to the effectiveness and utility of this procedure in assessing behavioral change within a natural setting.
