This study aims to analyze, student’s science process skills who are taught by inquiry training learning model using mind mapping is better than the students that taught with conventional learning, science process skills in students who have motivated above average are better compared with students who have the motivation below average, and the interaction between the inquiry training learning model using mind mapping and motivation in improving students' science process skills. This research was conducted by quasiexperimental. The sample selection was done by cluster random sampling that were class X2 and X1. The research instrument was using science process skills test in the form of descriptions and tests of motivation in the form of a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by ANOVA two lanes. The results showed that: The ability of students’ physics science process skills using inquiry training learning using mind mapping is better than the ability of students’ science process skills using conventional learning model. The ability of students’ physics science process skills in motivational groups are above average better than the ability of students’ physics science process skills  in conventional groups which are below average, and In this research, motivation above average dominant improves science process skills in Inquiry Training model using mind mapping rather than in conventional learning model

Abstract The GI-GI learning model is a combination of the Group Investigation and the Guided Inquiry model. The research aimed to examine the effect of the GI-GI learning model on collaboration and students’ science process skills. The type of research carried out was Quasi-Experimental and used a post-test only control group design and purposive sampling covering four high schools in the Besuki Residency, two classes as the experimental class and the control class. The research instrument used tests, observations, and documentation. The results showed a significant effect of the GI-GI learning model on collaboration and students’ science process skills. This research implies that the GI-GI learning model can condition students to research in groups to interact actively with friends and educators to exchange opinions, knowledge, or experiences, find and solve problems, and hypothesize through investigation, exploration, and discussion outside or inside in class.

This study was aimed at determining the differences in the dimensions of cognitive processes between groups of students who are taught with project-based trying learning activities and groups of students who are taught with conventional learning activities. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a post-test only control group design. The population of this study was the fifth-grade students of the 2016/2017 academic year in the Curriculum 2013 Elementary School in Buleleng Regency, which amounted to 326 students. The samples were taken by cluster random sampling which amounted to 60 students. The data collected in this study were the results of the dimensions of cognitive processes by using 20 multiple-choice tests and 5 item essays on the ecosystem theme. The hypothesis was tested using inferential t-test statistics. The results show that there are significant differences in the dimensions of cognitive processes between groups of students who were taught with project-based trying activities and groups of students who were taught using conventional learning activities.

The purpose of research are 1). To know are differences in science process skills of students with the applied of inquiry training learning model and direct instruction learning models, 2). To know are differences in science process skills of students who has high critical thinking ability and the  critically low ability, 3). To know the interaction inquiry training learning model and critical thinking ability toward students science process skills. The samples in this research conducted by cluster random sampling and  as many as two class , the first class (X-I) as experiment applied Inquiry Training learning model and the second class (X-2) as control class applied Direct Intruction learning model. The instrument used in this research is tests science process skills and critical thinking skills in the form of description and observation sheets science process skills. From these results it can be concluded that: 1) there are differences in students science process skills with applied inquiry training model and direct intruction model, 2) science process skills of students with high critical thinking ability is better than the science process skills of students with the ability to think critically low, and 3) the interaction inquiry training learning model and critical thinking ability toward the science process skills.

The research aims to find out the students' mathematical understanding using situation-based learning model students of class X IPA, the type of research used is quasi-experimental design research, taking class X IPA 3 as an experimental class and class X IPA 2 as a control class. The technique used in this sampling is cluster random sampling. Research instruments in the form of tests to determine the level of mathematical understanding of students. The data obtained will be analyzed with the hypothesis test t-test. Hypothesis test results obtained a significant value <0.05 which is 0.049 <0.05. Based on these results it was concluded to reject H0 and accept Ha. This means the average student's mathematical understanding ability using the Situation-Based Learning model is better than the average student's mathematical understanding ability using conventional learning.

This article was to find out about the effectiveness of applying dictogloss technique on students’ narrative text. A Quasi-Experimental design was used in this method, with using pre-test and post test design. Subject of this research was at the eleventh grade  at state senior high 10 Bandar Lampung.  The result of this study showed that the value of to  (tobservation ) was 5.2. The value of t table with degree of freedom 38 in significance degree 5 % was 2.02 and in significance degree 1% was 2.71. It indicated that to was higher than or 2.02 < 5.26 > 2.71. for those analysis, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and t alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Hence, it was inferred that there were significant difference between students’ narrative writing score who were taught by dictoglos technique. Keywords: Dictogloss Technique, Experimental Design, Narrative Text

This study aimed to analyze students' conceptual understanding by using a multi-representation assisted discovery learning model in measurement. This research was conducted in Public High School 1 Kendari. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a one-group pre-post test design. The research method consisted of a conceptual comprehension test using a caliper and a screw micrometer in an essay in the form of a multi-representational test on long measurements. The analysis showed an increase in conceptual understanding between the pre-test and post-test with an average pre-test score of 16.24 (SD = 14) and a post-test of 61.4 (SD = 21). These results indicate an increase in students' understanding of concepts after learning with an average N-gain increase of 0.5 (SD = 0.2) in the medium category. It also obtained the most significant increase in students' understanding of the indicators mentioned parts caliper and micrometer with an N-gain average of 0.6 in the medium category.
