Finland is trying to expedite and support young people?s transition to productive adulthood in various ways. Face-to-face guidance in multi-agency service points, the One-Stop Guidance Centers, has formed a central means for the last three governments. In these centres, a young person under the age of 30 can get help from different professionals in matters related to work, education and everyday life. This study asks how the centres define their tasks and target groups, and how the centres relate to the service reformation. The data consists of peer-learning surveys for the employees of the centres, conducted in 2015, 2016 and 2017.The research approach is inspired by membership categorisation analysis (MCA) pointing out that institutions think and act by means of categories: they produce client classifications and problem definitions, which define their service provision. The data analysis mixes MCA and content analysis. The centres have no dominant administrative sector or profession that would provide the target settings and categorisations to be directly applied in their work. Instead, these are negotiated inter-professionally and locally. The analysis shows that the employees reflect their task against the problems of the old service provision system. The centres want to stand apart from the bureaucratic and siloed service provision system as a youth-centred and holistic service. Developing a new way of working necessarily means questioning the conventional categories of clients and actions. Yet, the possibility to develop the ?new? varies between the professional groups and the geographic areas. The detailed and detached legislation of different administrative branches also delimit it.

There are several researches in Myanmese nevertheless they never concern Rohingya migrant workers. Because the ASEAN is going to become AEC in 2015, they can migrate freely in the region and National Treatment. The aim of this research is to study how AEC affects to Rohingya workers in Khon Kaen Thailand by qualitative research approach, sample selection with Snowball sampling, and in-depth interview, the limitation is interview only 11 sample. This study demonstrate awareness of AEC effects and find the workers have very less knowledge about AEC, in addition every Rohingya workers express that there is no effect from ASEAN community because they do not have Myanmese identity card and never be Myanmar nationality. Every migrant would not like to go back to Myanmar because there is not confident that the Myanmese government recognizes Rohingya as the Myanmese. In contrast, they hope the government’s merciful operations to provide citizenship as right as the one of Myanmese.

This paper begins with a brief description of research stating that adolescents in schools generally pursue reputations that are either nonconforming or conforming. This is usually achieved through the development of goals specific to each type of reputation. Essential to the maintenance of a reputation is the recruitment of an audience. It is also proposed by researchers that intervention by school personnel becomes crucial when trying to counteract the negative effects of a nonconforming Using a case study, this paper investigates the use of Narrative Therapy with a 15-year-old male student in a high school who had developed a nonconforming reputation. A three-year-old nonconforming reputation is put through a Narrative framework that challenges “its” goals and reason for being. As the sessions progress, there is a sense that this young person is beginning to move towards a more preferred sense of self that is potentially different from the one set-up by the nonconforming reputation. This is achieved by using a Narrative style dialogical approach that shows how language censures and as well as its ability to promote (liberate) chosen behaviour. Apart from the development of a more preferred sense of self, an interesting outcome from using this approach has also been the unique way restraint works within the school.

Among his many accolades, Jonathan Edwards was an effective mentor who trained many leaders for the church. Though his pastoral work is often overlooked, this book investigates the background, method, theological rationale, and legacy of his mentoring ministry. He does what mentors normally do—meeting with individuals to discuss ideas and grow in skills—but undertakes these activities in a distinctly modern or affective key. His correspondence is composed in an informal style, his understanding of friendship and conversation takes up the conventions of the great metropolitan cities of Europe of his day, his pedagogical commitments are surprisingly progressive, and his aspirations for those he mentors are bold and subversive. The practice of mentoring is presented in this book as the exchange between authority and agency, in which the more experienced person in the mentoring relationship empowers the one in the position of a learner, whose own character and competencies are nurtured. When Edwards explains his mentoring practice theologically, he expounds the theme of seeing God face to face, which recognizes that human beings learn through the example of friends as well as the exposition of propositions. The book is a case study in cultural engagement, for Edwards deliberately takes up certain features of the modern world in his mentoring and yet resists other pressures that the Enlightenment generated. If his world witnessed the philosophical evacuation of God from the created order, Edwards’s mentoring is designed to draw God back into an intimate connection with human experience.

This study aims to identify the human resources challenges existing in the apparel sector of Sri Lanka and provide recommendations to secure with managing the barriers to go ahead with future sustainability in the industry. The research approach is qualitative and followed the case study method. Face to face interviews was the method of collecting data by following a semi-structured questionnaire for the research, and the data analysis method was the thematic analysis. The finding demonstrates nine core human resources challenges in the apparel industry in Sri Lanka.

The One Environmental Health research approach, a subspecialty of the One Health initiative, focuses on toxic chemicals. Distinct disciplines work together to give a holistic perspective of a health concern through discrete disciplines, including, but not limited to, public health and the medical and veterinary sciences. In this article, we illustrate the concept of One Environmental Health with two case studies. One case study focuses on alligators and contributions to the field of endocrine disruption. The other case study focuses on whales and contributions to understanding carcinogenic metals. Both studies illustrate how the health of sentinel organisms has the potential to inform about the health of humans and the ecosystem.


Bureaucratic reform is an effort to make improvements made to the system of organizing matters relating to being institutional, business, and human resources aspects of the apparatus. Human resources are one of the most important factors that cannot even be released by an organization. This study aims to analyze and explain the reform of human resources and their implications for public services in Indonesia. The type of research used is descriptive-qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used is interviews and documentation. The instruments in this study were the researchers themselves, while the informants used purposive techniques. Data analysis techniques are "interactive models" which include the public, data condensation, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that the implementation of employee capacity building in a one-stop integrated service was well implemented, this was influenced by several factors such as education, training, and assignment, employees understood the responsibilities in carrying out the tasks given by superiors and providing services to the people. The behavior of the apparatus needs to be corrected so that they are oriented to productivity and quality of work and prioritize the benefits of the general public and social justice.

Social media has induced substantial growth of various cultural contacts, resulting in a great variation of uses in English. In light of the popularity of new social media, contacts of people from different cultures have been changed from predominant face-to-face encounters to instantaneous communication. This case study examines how Taiwanese students relate their ESL learning experiences to the use of social media and how their uses help transform these ESL students' gender/ethnic identities during study abroad. Adopting an ethnographic research approach, the results suggest some barriers and challenges those ESL students face during the time abroad, both linguistically but also in terms of intercultural friendship. Pedagogical implications and recommendations are made on how to more effectively using social media in developing linguistic and intercultural competence in the context of study abroad.

BackgroundNHS policy encourages general practices to introduce alternatives to the face-to-face consultation, such as telephone, email, e-consultation systems, or internet video. Most have been slow to adopt these, citing concerns about workload. This project builds on previous research by focusing on the experiences of patients and practitioners who have used one or more of these alternatives.AimTo understand how, under what conditions, for which patients, and in what ways, alternatives to face-to-face consultations present benefits and challenges to patients and practitioners in general practice.Design and settingFocused ethnographic case studies took place in eight UK general practices between June 2015 and March 2016.MethodNon-participant observation, informal conversations with staff, and semi-structured interviews with staff and patients were conducted. Practice documents and protocols were reviewed. Data were analysed through charting and the ‘one sheet of paper’ mind-map method to identify the line of argument in each thematic report.ResultsCase study practices had different rationales for offering alternatives to the face-to-face consultation. Beliefs varied about which patients and health issues were suitable. Co-workers were often unaware of each other’s practice; for example, practice policies for use of e-consultations systems with patients were not known about or followed. Patients reported benefits including convenience and access. Staff and some patients regarded the face-to-face consultation as the ideal.ConclusionExperience of implementing alternatives to the face-to-face consultation suggests that changes in patient access and staff workload may be both modest and gradual. Practices planning to implement them should consider carefully their reasons for doing so and involve the whole practice team.

Abstract Introduction This study evaluates the management of hand injuries during COVID-19 following the prompt implementation of the BOA guidelines; reconfiguration of hand services and implementation of the ‘one-stop’ model. Method 285 cases OVER A 1-MONTH PERIOD were RETROSPECTIVELY reviewed to evaluate the effectiveness of managing patients using the ‘one-stop’ model and the new Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC). Results 277 patients were included in the study. During Covid-19, operative cases fell by 62%. 86.3% (239/277) of cases were managed in the UTC; 54.4% (130/239) required conservative management and 45.6% (109/239) required minor procedures (in UTC). REMOVABLE SPLINT USE was optimized through design of ‘softcasts’ for non-operative management of distal radius fractures. A patient education video: ‘softcast removal at home’ was created and in cases requiring sutures, 95.1% (39/41) were absorbable, thereby avoiding COVID-19 exposure for follow-up. Only 50.5% (140/277) of patients had formal follow-up arranged and patient information follow-up cards were developed. Conclusions The one-stop model prevents delay in definitive treatment, allows effective initial treatment, and minimizes the need for face-to-face follow up. In light of a possible second wave of COVID-19 cases, this new model should be considered for implementation by all hand’s units for the foreseeable future.
