The use of target language only and mixed languages as communication strategies between the teacher and students have different purposes to be achieved for both of them when conducting the learning process. Therefore, this study focused on finding out 1) the language of instruction used by the teacher as communication strategies in teaching as well as 2) the student’s responses toward the use of each type of language of instruction as communication strategies in teaching English by the teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja. To investigate this study there were 3 teachers and 174 students from eight classes who were used as the primary sources. To collect all of the data, observation and questionnaire distribution were implemented. Then, all of the data were analyzed descriptively. This study followed qualitative descriptive model, approach, and design adopting framework of Maxwell (2012). Therefore, the results of the study indicates that the most frequent of language uses by the teachers is target language only. The students fell very glad when the teachers use target language only. To make the students easier to understand the material, the use of mixed languages in the right portion is very good, in particular at the beginning stages. Key words: target language, mixed languages, opening, observing, questioning, exploring, associating, communicating, closing.

The implementation of Curriculum 2013 indicated that there is a switch of the teachers’ role in the process of teaching and learning from resource becoming facilitator. This study aimed to find out the roles that the teachers play in the classrooms when teaching English at SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja and to know responses of the students toward it. It followed qualitative interactive descriptive model, approach, and design which was adopting the framework of Maxwell (2012). It involved 3 teachers and 174 students. The required data for this study were collected through observation and distributing questionnaire. Since the data were analyzed descriptively, it was adopted the framework developed by Miles and Huberman (1994). The results of data analysis show that there are five roles the teachers played in the classroom when teaching English at SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja such as prompter or motivator, facilitator, controller, organizer, and assessor and the responses of the students toward it mostly dominated by positive attitude. In short, most of the roles that the teachers played support the student-centered learning. It is the result of the classroom focused activities developing on giving exercises, completing task, and doing practice of language used. Keywords: assessor, controller, facilitator, organizer, prompter, scientific approach

The aim of the study is to investigate what strategies are appropriate and meaningful for young learners of English. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The data collection used for qualitative description are a semi-structured interview, observation, and analysis on lesson plans. The participants were an English teacher and 68 first graders. The findings showed that applying instructionbased strategy in the target language in which the learners responded by whole-body actions (physical actions) made young learners fun, dance with delight, act with joy, and finish off with big smiles. This strategy also encouraged young learners to learn English, especially that for vocabulary. The right-brain tool strategy made 41 young learners out of 68 or 60.29% participants were deeply engaged to class activity. It means the learners take full ownership of learning activity, show high levels of energy, and express a willingness to take part in activity. The strategy was effective and impressive that made young learners involved in meaningful activities which required repetition. In addition, the strategy could be applied to any class size. Furthermore, on the part of the teacher did not need to prepare a great deal or exceedingly.Keywords: young learners, vocabulary, instruction-based strategy, practical

This research was conducted to overcome the problems faced by academics on the difficulty of understanding Arabic texts with the application of Google Translate.  Through qualitative descriptive methods, data obtained by interviews and questionnaires.  Then data is collected which finally found various problems.  Departing from these problems, the data are analyzed to find solutions to overcome them.  From the results of the study found a solution, namely there need to be several steps that can be used as a guide so that the translation results are commensurate in the target language.  These steps are (1) enter the whole text into the machine;  (2) copy the translated text into Microsoft words;  (3) read the entire equivalent in the target text;  (4) compile the target text according to the structure in the target language;  and (5) looking for the right equivalent in accordance with the culture contained in the source language and target language.

Guiding is a branch of oral communication. In oral communication, guiding can be included as productive skill. English guiding is one of the academic lessons in the fourth semester. Being a tour guide is a very important job in tourism part. In many cases, the tour guide is a traveller's first impression of a foreign country. In other cases a tour guide may be responsible for teaching tourists about the culture and sites in a city or town. Improving students’ communicative skill is the goal of teaching English guiding, because the student can express themselves and know how to use language well. In the real situation in teaching guide process, lecturer cannot escape from reality. It occurs because there are some problems faced by the lecture and the student. The lecturer cannot make student pay attention; make the students’ lack of creativity in making interactive guiding topics, and engagement in whole teaching learning process. This research applied photovoice as a technique to increase the student’s ability in speaking English guiding. Photovoice is suitable technique in teaching speaking skill in English guiding because it gives student chance to communicate with different context and different social by photo as a learning media. This reviews were taken from Beverly Palibroda (2009) Photovoice implementation and Speaking Assessment from Brown Lavinson (2004). This research was conducted by three cycles such as: pre-test, cycle I and cycle II. In composing this research the writer used qualitative descriptive method by classroom action research (CAR).             The result of this research showed that the mean score in pre-test before implementing Photovoice clearly showed that the ability of the subject under study was relatively “ fairly satisfactory ” in the level of mastery of speaking rubric. There were increasing in cycle I after implementing Photovoice technique. The result of the data analysis of the reflection score in cycle I showed increasing the mean score of 7.11 It was higher than the result of pre-test. In the cycle II, which the treatment was more intensive in order of weakness of the students had been known. The result of the data anaysis of reflection or post-test in cycle II that the mean score was 8.18. The different between mean score in cycle I and II was 1.07. It showed that the student’s speaking guiding ability improved after the researcher applied the photovoice thecnique to the students.

Internet development causes the formation of a new world, every individual has the right and ability to interact with everyone who can prevent him. Perfect globalization connects the entire digital community, one of which is a business sector called E-COMMERCE.E-COMMERCE has a difference from conventional sale and purchase agreements and brings different legal consequences and there are also some problems that are not yet commonly describedthis is a problem that is not immediately anticipated to cause problems in the future. Based on the description, the research is carried out with the title: “SALE AND PURCHASE AGREEMENT VIA INTERNET E-COMMERCE IN TERMS OF CIVIL LAW ASPECTS”.                The formulation of the problem in this study is: (1) What is the validity of the SELLING BUY agreement through the internet if it is involved with Article 1320 of the Civil Code? (2) What is the legal consequence if there is a default in the purchase agreement through the internet (E-COMMERCE)? (3) Solution if there is a default in buying transactions through the internet (E-COMMERCE)? The method used is a normative juridical approach. To approach the problem in this study the author uses descriptive analytical research specifications. Data collection uses secondary data. The method of presenting data in this study was carried out in a descriptive manner. The analysis used in this sketch is qualitative descriptive.             The results of the study indicate: (1) The validity of the agreement through the internet must have the same validity as the agreement that can be proven and in accordance with the provisions in Article 1320 BW. (2) The legal consequences of wanprestasi are compensation. the wanprestasi can be in the form of agreement fulfillment, contract fulfillment and compensation, ordinary compensation, cancellation of the agreement.(3) Solution if there is a wanprestasi in the sale and purchase agreement through: Litigation, Non Litigation, online site (kredibel.co.id, lapor.go.id, cek rekening.id), report directly to the police station and report to the bank.

The research reveals appointment, competence and type of activities of the authorized representatives of the Council of Lithuania delegated to represent the Council of Lithuania, Lithuania’s interests or affairs abroad (in neutral and “belligerent countries”) from 22 October 1917 to 11 November 1918. The Entente Powers include the United States, Great Britain, France and also Italy in some cases. Russia, which also belonged to the Entente, is left outside the scope of the research, because after Soviet Russia signed the Peace Treaty of Brest-Litovsk (3 March 1918), it did no longer fight on the side of the Entente. The research on the diplomacy of the Council of Lithuania in the Entente Powers was carried out on the basis of published (press, memoirs, published documents) and unpublished sources (from the Lithuanian Central State Archives, Manuscripts Department of the Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences). The study employed the methods of analysis and comparison, the descriptive method, and the comparison of sources and literature. While processing the primary sources, in particular in French and German languages, the logistic-analytical method was applied (the notional content and information analysis was carried out). The research consists of two parts. In the first part of investigation the author analyzes the appointment and competence of the authorized representatives of the Council of Lithuania in neutral and “belligerent countries” and concludes, that the analysis of the circumstances of appointment and chronology of the authorized representatives of the Council of Lithuania in neutral and “belligerent countries” as well as the content of their authorizations made it clear that permanent authorized representatives, Juozas Purickis and Vladas Daumanatas-Dzimidavičius, who were appointed on 22 October 1917, had their residence in Lausanne and constituted a part of the collegial body of Lithuanian National Council, were authorized to represent the Council of Lithuania; however, only Purickis’ authorization included the phrase “to represent Lithuania’s interests abroad”; there was no indication as to what countries were meant. An equivalent wording – “to represent Lithuania’s interests abroad” – was also included in the texts of authorizations of non-permanent authorized representatives – Augustinas Voldemaras and Konstantinas Olšauskas. The material contained in the minutes of the meetings of the Council of Lithuania entails that “representation in belligerent countries” also meant representation in the Entente Powers, though no direct indication was included. In the second part of the study the author reveals the specific type of activities of the authorized representatives of the Council of Lithuania (October 1917 – November 1918) and states, that Permanent representatives of the Council of Lithuania, who were based in Lausanne and formed a part of the collegial Lithuanian National Council, did not always coordinate their diplomatic steps in the Entente Powers or in their embassies in Bern; hence, the Council of Lithuania had to deny or dissociate itself from certain statements made by the Lithuanian National Council (in Lausanne) (the declaration of separation from Russia of 25 December 1917; the protest telegram of June 1918). Both permanent and non-permanent representatives of the Council of Lithuania authorized to represent Lithuania’s interests abroad shared the same goal of seeking “the recognition of the right to self-determination for the Lithuanian nation” and the recognition of independence declared by the Council of Lithuania (on the basis of Part I of the Act of 11 December 1917 and the Act of 16 February 1918).

North Natuna Sea is become a concern, at the end of 2019 to February 2020 this area was illegally entered by Chinese fishing vessels who wanted to fishing, this vessel was escorted by the Chinese Coast Guard. This escort is in order to protect their fishing vessels from the pursuit of Indonesian patrol vessels. According to the them that they did not violate Indonesian territory, they said that the North Natuna Sea still belongs to Chinese territory. In the perspective of the international relations what is done by China can disrupt the stability of regional security. This research is a qualitative descriptive with secondary data collection. The formulation of the research question is what kind of diplomacy is being carried out by Indonesia towards China in the North Natuna Sea. The purpose of this research is to find the right diplomacy concept in dealing with the China in the North Natuna Sea.

Learning new vocabulary compromises a significant factor for success within language learning since without the adequate knowledge of words and their meaning, learners are not able to use the target language efficiently. Moreover, vocabulary tends to be forgotten if it is not acquired and used through the right methods that will provide learners with language inputs in genuine target language environment. In this regard, the increasing access to different multimedia and technology resources facilitate spontaneous vocabulary acquisition for the contemporary age learners. In particular, movies with subtitles can be a great tool in bringing students closer to authentic real life communication vocabulary. As a result, previous studies have found out several benefits of using subtitled movies by confirming that subtitles indeed improve vocabulary development.

The purpose of this study is to find out the concept of khilafah according to Sayyid Quthub and Taqiyuddin al-Nabhani, differences and legal basis. This study is a library model, with primary data sources, the Zhilalal-Qur'anic Tafseer and Nizham Al-Hukmi Fi Al-Islam and qualitative descriptive analysis methods. The result is the thought of the concept of khilafah according to sayyid Quthub: 1). The concept of the ruler / caliph, that who becomes the ruler of the choice of the Muslims, acts in absolute freedom, but that person gets the authority because he constantly applies the law of Allah Almighty. 2). The Islamic government system, the Supra Nasional government (the unity of the entire Islamic world). 3). The pillars of his Islamic government: a). Justice of the ruler; b). People's obedience; c). Consultation between the people and the authorities. Thought of the concept of the Caliphate according to Taqiyuddin Al-Nabhani: 1). The concept of the ruler / caliph is a person who represents the Ummah in government affairs and power and in applying syara 'laws. 2). The system of government is khilafah. 3). The pillars of his Islamic government: a). Sovereignty in the hands of syara '; b). Power of the people; c). To appoint a legal Caliph fardlu for all Muslims; d). Only Khailfah has the right to carry out tabanni (adoption) against syara 'laws; e) The Caliph has the right to make constitutions and all other laws. The differences in the concept of khilafah are both: 1). According to Sayyid Quthub, if the ruler fails, then the ruler can be dismissed if the Muslims are no longer satisfied with him. This statement gives a signal that the people get rid of the rulers who no longer fulfill their functions (zhalim rulers). It is different from the opinion of Taqiyuddin al-Nabhani. An Amir al-mu'minin (Khalifah), even though he is responsible before the people and his representatives, but the people and their representatives are not entitled to dismiss him. Nor will the Caliph be dismissed, except when deviating from Shara law. The one who determined the dismissal was only the Mazhalim court. 2). The system of Islamic government according to Sayyid Quthub does not question any system of government in accordance with the system of conditions of society, but this government is characterized by respect for the supremacy of Islamic law (shari'ah). Whereas According to Taqiyuddin Al-Nabhani that the system of Islamic government is khilafah. 3). The pillars of Islamic government according to Sayyid Quthub and Taqiyyuddin al-Nabhani, points three parts a and b at the above conclusions are: 1). Sayyid Quthub: a). Justice of the ruler; b). People's obedience; c). Consultation between the people and the authorities. 2). Taqiyyuddin al-Nabhani: a). Sovereignty in the hands of syara; b). Power of the people; c). To appoint a legal Caliph fardlu for all Muslims; d). Only Khailfah has the right to do tabanni (adoption) against the laws of shara; e). The Caliph has the right to make constitutions and all other laws. The legal bases for determining the Caliphate according to both: 1). The legal basis for the establishment of the Caliphate according to Sayyid Quthub: 1). Ruler, Qur'an Surah (2) al-Baqarah verse 30; 2). Islamic Government System, Qur'an Surah (24) an-Nur verse 55; 3). Pillars of Islamic Government, Qur'an Surah (4) an-Nisa 'verse 58. 2). The legal basis for the establishment of the Caliphate according to Taqiyyuddin al-Nabhani: 1). Ruler, hadith of Muslim history from Abu Said Al khudri, Hadith no. 1853 and Muslims from Abdullah Bin Amru Bin Ash, Hadith no. 1844; 2). This thesis investigates the prevalence of anti-Semitism in the British right-wing between the years of 1918 and 1930. It aims to redress the imbalance of studies on interwar British right-wing anti-Semitism that are skewed towards the 1930s, Oswald Mosley and the British Union of Fascists. This thesis is the first to focus exclusively on the immediate aftermath of the First World War and the rest of the 1920s, to demonstrate how interwar British right-wing anti-Semitism was not an isolated product of the 1930s. This work shows that anti-Semitism was endemic throughout much of the right-wing in early interwar Britain but became pushed further away from the mainstream as the decade progressed. This thesis adopts a comparative approach of comparing the actions and ideology of different sections of the British right-wing. The three sections that it is investigating are the “mainstream”, the “anti-alien/anti-Bolshevik” right and the “Jewish-obsessive” fringe. This comparative approach illustrates the types of anti-Semitism that were widespread throughout the British right-wing. Furthermore, it demonstrates which variants of anti-Semitism remained on the fringes. This thesis will steer away from only focusing on the virulently anti-Semitic, fringe organisations. The overemphasis on peripheral figures and openly fascistic groups when historians have glanced back at the 1920s helped lead to an exaggerated view that Britain was a tolerant haven in historiographical pieces, at least up until the 1980s. This thesis is using a wide range of primary sources, that are representative of the different sections of the British right-wing.
