Painting is one of complex image reflecting observations and feelings of the artist to the environment. This condition extends the need of painting impression generation system since common people with lack of art experience would have difficulties to interpret the painting. From this point of view we presents a new model to provide representative impressions of paintings by providing a color-impression metric taken from public survey and implement it for mobile application. The new model provides analytical functions to generate the representative impression of the image query. The functions consist of two main section: (1) The cultural-dependent color-impression metric creation which consist of conducting survey, applying normalized 3D color vector quantization to image dataset, generating image-impression metric, and generating color- impression metric; and (2) Impression generation of image query which consist of applying normalized 3D color vector quantization to image query and measuring the similarity between image query andcolor-impression metric. To perform our proposed impression generation system, we examine our system with Indonesian cultural image dataset and 5 different mobile devices. Our proposed system performs main color impression precision result with average precision of more than 60%. Brightness intensity and zooming affects the retrieved impressions. Rotating captures of an image generate the same retrieved impressions. The system also performs average response time vary in range 41263 to 117434 milliseconds from all devices.Keywords: impression generation system, color based impression, cultural computing, mobile application.

The term "Songket" comes from the Malay word "Sungkit", which means "to hook" or "to gouge". Every motifs names and variations was derived from plants and animals as source of inspiration to create many patterns of songket. Each of songket patterns have a philosophy in form of rhyme that refers to the nature of the sources of songket patterns and that philosophy reflects to the beliefs and values of Malay culture. In this research, we propose a system to facilitate an understanding of songket and the philosophy as a way to conserve Songket culture. We propose a system which is able to collect information in image songket motif variations based on feature extraction methods. On each image songket motif variations, we extracted philosophy of rhyme into impressions, and extracting color features of songket images using a histogram 3D-Color Vector quantization (3D-CVQ), shape feature extraction songket image using HU Moment invariants. Then, we created an image search based on impressions, and impressions search based on image. We use techniques of search based on color, shape and aggregation (combination of colors and shapes). The experiment using impression as query : 1) Result based on color, the average value of true 7.3, total score 41.9, 2) Result based on shape, the average value of true 3, total score 16.4, 3) Result based on aggregation, the average value of true 3, total score 17.4. While based using Image Query : 1) Result based on color, the average precision 95%, 2) Result based on shape, average precision 43.3%, 3) Based aggregation, the average precision 73.3%. From our experiments, it can be concluded that the best search system using query impression and query image is based on the color.Keyword : Image Search, Philosophy, impression, Songket, cultural computing, Feature Extraction, Analytical aggregation.

Abstract: Introduction: The teaching of neuroradiology in undergraduate medical school must be seen as an integration tool for the interdisciplinary study of radiology, anatomy and neurology. In practice, there is a limitation on the part of students in acquiring such knowledge, either due to “neurophobia”, or due to the lack of previous anatomical-radiological knowledge and also due to the lack of integrated didactic materials aimed at undergraduate school. However, there are few studies reporting the difficulties encountered by students in learning neuroradiology. Objective: To assess the perception of medical students about learning difficulties in neuroradiology. Method: Quantitative study, carried out with medical students enrolled in the second and seventh semesters of a university in Fortaleza. Data were obtained through a structured questionnaire with 12 yes or no answer questions. The questions addressed the possible difficulties encountered in acquiring neuroradiological knowledge, among them: the lack of targeted didactic material, the lack of integration with neurology, the need for basic radiological and anatomical knowledge, the large volume of content to study, and the limitations of active and traditional methodologies. Results: 181 questionnaires were analyzed. Most students report as difficulties: the need for basic knowledge of radiology (80.1%); neuroanatomy (77.5%); and to correlate radiology and neuroanatomy (70.9%). When comparing the 2nd semester and 7th semester groups, there was a greater tendency to point out the lack of practical knowledge of neurology by 2nd-semester students as a factor of greater difficulty in learning neuroradiology (82.6% versus 67.4 %, with p <0.0018). When asked about the usefulness of creating an e-book aimed at undergraduate students for learning neuroradiology, 85.6% of the students answered affirmatively; in the case of a mobile application, 92.3% agreed. As for the correlation between neuroradiology and medical practice, 98.3% answered that it is useful and necessary knowledge. Conclusion: In the students’ opinion, previous knowledge of neuroanatomy and clinical neurology is important for learning neuroradiology. The development of material such as an e-book or mobile application focused on integrating the teaching of these disciplines is considered a good alternative to facilitate the understanding of neuroradiology.

Цель статьи - рассмотреть причины и императивы перехода валюты в цифровое состояние. Дано определение цифрового рубля, его особенностей с экономической точки зрения. Указаны возможные технологические решения при внедрении цифровой валюты. Отражено возможное влияние ввода цифрового рубля на денежно-кредитную политику, а также предложен вариант внедрения новой формы рубля в экономику. Выделены необходимые качества, которым должен обладать цифровой рубль. Научная новизна заключается в акцентировании внимания на проблемах, которые могут возникнуть в связи с переходом к новой модели цифрового кредитно-денежного обращения. The purpose of the article is to consider the reasons and imperatives of the transition of the currency to a digital state. The author gives the definition of the digital rouble describes its features from an economic point of view. The research indicates possible technological solutions for digital currency implementation and possible impact of the introduction of the digital rouble on monetary policy. The author highlights some necessary qualities characteristic for a digital ruble. The scientific novelty is to focus on the problems that may arise from the transition to a new model of digital monetary circulation.

The interest in face recognition studies has grown rapidly in the last decade. One of the most important problems in face recognition is the identification of ethnics of people. In this study, a new deep learning convolutional neural network is designed to create a new model that can recognize the ethnics of people through their facial features. The new dataset for ethnics of people consists of 3141 images collected from three different nationalities. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first image dataset collected for the ethnics of people and that dataset will be available for the research community. The new model was compared with two state-of-the-art models, VGG and Inception V3, and the validation accuracy was calculated for each convolutional neural network. The generated models have been tested through several images of people, and the results show that the best performance was achieved by our model with a verification accuracy of 96.9%.

In this paper, we present a new generic architectural approach of a Self-Organizing Map (SOM). The proposed architecture, called the Diagonal-SOM (D-SOM), is described as an Hardware–Description-Language as an intellectual property kernel with easily adjustable parameters.The D-SOM architecture is based on a generic formalism that exploits two levels of the nested parallelism of neurons and connections. This solution is therefore considered as a system based on the cooperation of a distributed set of independent computations. The organization and structure of these calculations process an oriented data flow in order to find a better treatment distribution between different neuroprocessors. To validate the D-SOM architecture, we evaluate the performance of several SOM network architectures after their integration on a Xilinx Virtex-7 Field Programmable Gate Array support. The proposed solution allows the easy adaptation of learning to a large number of SOM topologies without any considerable design effort. [Formula: see text] SOM hardware is validated through FPGA implementation, where temporal performance is almost twice as fast as that obtained in the recent literature. The suggested D-SOM architecture is also validated through simulation on variable-sized SOM networks applied to color vector quantization.

Near Field Communication (NFC) as relatively new wireless communication technology pushes new challenges to application developers to make their applications easier to use and simpler to operate. This point of view known as usability element. Usability is one of the elements for creating good quality applications. This study aims to analyse the usability of mobile-based application embeds with NFC. We also try to evaluate usability in applications used by children. We developed an application called Receptionist which has a primary function as a communication tool between students, teachers and parents at a middle school. To know the impact of the NFC, the Receptionist input system is designed with two methods, via conventional navigation (using buttons) and via NFC. To understand the usability of each method, we do user testing and questioners on students. The results show, using the NFC there is a significant increase in usability attributes: efficiency, effectiveness, and learnability. On the other hand, there is decreases of user satisfaction comparing to conventional method. In general, this study demonstrates the potential of new input device technologies that can improve the usability of mobile-based applications.

The development of finite element analysis, in terms of simulation power and theoretical model accuracy, enables one to understand and simulate industrial processes more precisely, especially those involving non linear behaviour and analysis. Reeled pipe technology is one of these, and has a lot to gain from this increasing efficiency. In the reel-lay process the pipe is first reeled onto a drum on a vessel for transportation. During offshore installation the pipe is unreeled, straightened and deployed into the sea. During the process, the pipe is fully and cyclically plastified. Plastification modifies the pipe properties, which is not by itself detrimental but should be understood by the designer. Pipe properties are affected in three ways: geometrical shape – reeling and straightening induce some residual ovalisation; mechanical properties – yield stress, hardening slope, isotropy are modified; and fatigue properties. Technip and IFP have studied these property evolutions for many years, both from an experimental and a numerical point of view. The present paper discusses the first two points. A wide experimental programme has been performed. Full scale pipes were reeled and straightened on a bending rig device especially built for that purpose. Pipe ovalisation was monitored through the whole process. Pipe mechanical properties were also fully characterised in the pipe axial, hoop and thickness directions, both in tension and compression, before and after reeling process. Extruded and UOE pipes were tested and characterised. Pipe initial properties are dependent on the manufacturing process but they are modified by the reeling process. Reeling induces some anisotropy that cannot be properly accounted for by usual plasticity models. Finite element simulations with Abaqus software, using the material behaviour of unreeled pipe, underestimate stiffness evolution in the hoop direction and overestimate ovalisation induced by the reeling process. Anisotropy has indeed a great effect on ovalisation that results from an interaction between axial and hoop loading. Hardening is also a key parameter. A new plasticity model has been written in an Abaqus User Material Model, known as UMAT. The new model is based on an anisotropic Hill criterion and special attention is paid to the hardening. This new model reduces by more than two the error on ovality estimation, and gives a realistic prediction of material anisotropy evolution through the process. Although, the tuning of the model coefficients is more complex than for usual models, its use is quite straightforward and does not increase computation time.

Islam reached Lombok island at sixteenth century, approximately at 1545. Its well-known spreader was an expedition from Java led by Sunan Prapen son of Sunan Giri, one of the famous wali songo (nine religious leaders, the Islam spreader in Java). Before Islam reached this island, according to some historian, the indigenous Sasak—appellation to indigenous of Lombok people—had had their own traditional religion, Boda. Sometimes Boda was also called Majapahit Religion. Method of spreading Islam at early time of Islam in this island was called three-linked system. A religious leader coming from Java had to teach three indigenous people and then made them be religious leaders. After mastering what was taught they were considered religious leaders and, in turn, respectively have to teach another three candidates. This method of spreading gained effective outputs on one hand, but on other hand it also shaped a kind of viewpoint among indigenous people that the religious obligatories such as daily praying and fasting are only the duty of religious leaders not of common people. Such unexpected point of view in turn has polarized the people into two groups, religious leaders and their common disciples. The later have point of view that they only do what their religious leader and king ask them to do, and this was the embryo of a local Islamic syncretism known as Wetu Telu. After time of Sunan Prapen, the Tuan Guru—a special call to Lombokness religious leaders—take responsiblity on islamization in this island, especially to the Wetu Telu disciples.
