The research aims to determine the effect of  gender, marital status, level of education, economic growth, agricultural sector, trade sector, and services to the dependent variable of youth unemployment in West Sumatra. The type of this research is descriptive research, where the data used is secondary data in the form of cross-section data with national workforce survey data 2015. By using logistic regression analysis method, the results of this study indicate that Gender has positive and significant effect on youth unemployment in West Sumatra, Marital status has a negative and significant effect on youth unemployment in West Sumatra, Level of education has positive and significant effect on youth unemployment in West Sumatra, Economic growth hasnegative and significant effect on youth unemployment in West Sumatra, Agricultural sector has a negative and significant effect on youth unemployment in West Sumatra, Trading sector has a negative and significant effect on youth unemployment in West Sumatra, and Service sector has a negative and significant effect on youth unemployment in West Sumatera.

This study aims to determine the effect of age, marital status, level of education, area of residence, number of dependents, family expenses, and head of household status on the probability variable of women choose to be a working women in West Sumatra Province. This is descriptive and associative research, where the data used is secondary data in the form of cross-section data. The data was from national socioeconomic survey in 2016. By using logistic regression, the results of this study show that the variables of age, marital status, level of education, and number of dependents have a positive and significant effect on probability of women working in West Sumatra, while the variable area of residence has a negative and significant influence on probability of women working in West Sumatra province.

This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth, educational level, and the number of people on the unemployment rate on regency / city of West Sumatra during 2011- 2013. Data used in this research is secondary data, in the form of time series (2011-2013) and cross section (19 districts / cities) of West Sumatra province. The results showed: economic growth  has a negative impact and no significant effect on the unemployment rate , Level of education has a positive and significant effect on the unemployment rate ,Total population  has a positive and significant effect on the unemployment rate and Together economic growth (X1), education level (X2), and population (X3) has a significant impact on the unemployment rate (Y) in the district / city of West Sumatra province..Keyword : unemployment rate, economic growth, education level, popolation

This study aims to determine the effect of education level, occupation, employment sector, wages, age, gender, marital status, area of residence of the underemployment in West Sumatra Province. This type of research is descriptive, where this study uses secondary data in the form of a cross-section with the 2015 national labor force survey data and uses the Logistic Regression analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the level of education has a negative and insignificant effect on voluntary underemployment in West Sumatra, the field of work has a negative and not significant effect on voluntary underemployment in West Sumatra, the employment sector has a positive and insignificant effect on voluntary unemployment in West Sumatra Wages have a positive and significant effect on voluntary underemployment in West Sumatra, age has a positive and significant effect on voluntary underemployment in West Sumatra, gender has a negative and significant effect on voluntary underemployment in West Sumatra, marital status has a positive and insignificant effect on underemployment voluntarily in West Sumatra, the area of residence has a negative and insignificant effect on voluntary unemployment in West Sumatra. Keywords: underemployment, economic factor, demographic, dan logistic  regression

The aims of this study are to find out whether there is a causal relationship between the variables of economic growth, infrastructure and tax revenue in West Sumatra. This type of research is associative descriptive research, where the data used is secondary data from 1986 to 2016 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. Which are analysed using the Vector Auto Reggresion (VAR) method to see the reciprocal relationship between variables used. The results of this study have a one-way relationship between infrastructure and economic growth, and there is also a unidirectional relationship between infrastructure and tax revenue in West Sumatera.Keywords: economic growth, infrastructure and tax revenue

Abstrak : This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of capital expenditureon economic growth and income inequality in West Sumatra. This research isdescriptive and inductive. The data used in this study is secondary data with datacollection using panel data obtained from BPS West Sumatra Province 2014-2018period with 19 regencies / cities in West Sumatra. This study analyzed using asimultaneous equation model (simultaneous equation regression model). The resultsof this study indicate that (1) Capital Expenditures have a significant effect onEconomic Growth in West Sumatra (2) Capital Expenditures have no significanteffect on Income Inequality in West Sumatra (3) Simultaneously Capital Expendituresand Economic Growth have a significant effect on Income Inequality in WestSumatra.Keyword : Capital Expenditure, Economic Growth, Income Inequality


The study seeks to establish the relationship between foreign direct investment to Saarc region agricultural sector and economic growth with secondary data. SAARC comprises 3% of the world's area, 21% of the world's population and 3.8% (US$2.9 trillion) making up a total of 3% of the world’s area. The country has second in all over the world in terms of agriculture position. The population obliquely all of the member states is over 1.7 billion, accounting for 21% of the world’s total population. In their 42% of the agricultural operation in SAARC nations and also 51% source of livelihood of the South Asians. The study has revealed that India alone accounts for 52 per cent of the agricultural products using the SAARC region peoples. For the present study, a total of 34 groups related to the agricultural products were selected out of the total groups. The techniques employed to analyze the data include descriptive statistic, correlation and linear forecast method. The study also revealed a positive and important relationship between economic growth and foreign direct investment flow to the agricultural sector. Thus, the study recommends that policy should focus on flexible trade policies to attract more foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows to SAARC nations. i.e. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka including India

Abstract:  One indicator used to measure economic development is employment. The huge population growth each year will certainly have an impact on increasing the number of the workforce and will certainly give meaning that the number of people looking for work will increase, along with that the workforce will also increase. This study aims to analyze the effect of wages, investment and economic growth on labor demand in West Sumatra. This study uses secondary data in the form of time series with an observation period of 2013-2017. Data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), data analysis using the panel regression method with the program eviews. The results of this study include wages that negatively and significantly affect labor demand in West Sumatra. While investment and economic growth have a positive and significant effect on labor demand in West Sumatra. And the most dominant factor influencing labor demand in West Sumatra is the Economic Growth factor where the factor has the greatest regression coefficient among other factorsKeywords: labor, wages, investment, economic growth

In this study aims to (1) know the development of economic growth and know the development of coal exports (2) find out the causality of coal exports with the economic growth of Jambi Province. The data used in this study are secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Jambi Province. To answer these objectives, this study uses a type of quantitative descriptive research with an analysis model for the first and second problems using simple regression analysis and granger causality test. The results of the study show that (1) the average development of economic growth in Jambi Province in 2004-2018 was 6.15 percent; (2) the average development of coal exports is 149.64 percent, and (3) partially coal exports do not have a causal relationship to the economic growth of Jambi Province  Keywords: Economic growth, Coal exports

The implementation of fiscal decentralization policy has a good impact on the development of the potential and creativity of local governments. Effectiveness in managing the results of regional wealth will affect the original income of the region which can then be utilized for the welfare of the community. This study aims to determine the effect of fiscal decentralization and economic growth on poverty in Gorontalo Province. This research uses quantitative methods. The data used in this study were sourced from the Central Statistics Agency and the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance so that the data in this study were secondary data using the econometrics method through a panel data regression equation in the form of a combination of 10-year time series data (2008-2017) and cross section data 6 Regency / City areas in Gorontalo Province. Estimation is done using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results of this study indicate that (1) Partially the degree of fiscal decentralization has a negative effect (unidirectional relationship) and significant on poverty means that the greater the fiscal decentralization variable will have an impact on reducing the level of poverty (2) Partially economic growth has a negative effect (unidirectional relationship) and significant to poverty means increasing economic growth can reduce poverty levels (3) Simultaneously the degree of fiscal decentralization and economic growth have a significant effect on poverty in Gorontalo Province. The economic growth of Banjarnegara, Purbalingga, Banyumas, Cilacap and Kebumen regencies or known as Barlingmascakeb region is on average lower than the economic growth of Central Java Province. This study aims to analyze the influence of human capital that proxy from level of education and life expectacy, labor, and capital on economic growth in the Barlingmascakeb region. The data used is secondary data, time series starting from 2008-2015. This study uses multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the study it is known that the variable human capital, which is seen from the level of education and life expectancy, labor, capital has a positive influence on economic growth in the Barlingmascakeb region.Keywords: Level of Education, Life Expectancy, Labor, Capital, Economic Growth.
