The objective of this research was to find out whether there was an increase on students’ and teacher’s activity, students’ creativity, and students’ writing skill through the implementation of project based learning (PjBL). The research design was a classroom action research. The subjects were the first graders of class Tata Kecantikan Kulit (TKK) or Skin and Beauty Treatment at Vocational High School State 3 Metro, known as SMKN 3 Metro, in the second semester, academic year 2015/2016. This action research was done by doing: 1) planning; 2) implementation; 3) observation and data collection; and 4) reflection. Meanwhile, the PjBL was done through six steps, i.e.: 1) determining the project; 2) planning the steps of doing the project; 3) scheduling the project implementation; 4) completing project with guide and supervision from the teacher; 5) making report and presenting project result; 6) evaluatiing process and project result. The instruments of this research were students and teacher observation, creativity assesssment, and writing skill assesssment. The findings showed that the students’ and teacher’s activity gradually increased in each cycle. PjBL implementation also seemed to be effective in increasing the students’ creativity and writing skill. It indicated that by applying PjBL, the aspects of students’ and teacher’s activity in learning process, students’ creativity and writing skill could be directly influenced by the treatment.Key words: PjBL, activity, creativity, writing skill

This research aimed to describe how picture series medium can increase the students’s writing skill for eighth grade at state junior high school 1 of Bintan. Classroom action research was the research design. The research comprised of two cycles with four meeting in the two cycles. A test was the main data of this research. Twenty students in VIII B at state junior high school 1 of Bintan, in the academic year of 019/2020 was the subject of this research. The outcome appeared there were upgrades in students’ writing skill. It tends to be seen from the outcome of each post-test in the two cycles. Students’ test average in cycle 1 was 63.57. Students’ test average in second cycle was 68.87. It means picture series medium could help students in improving their writing skill.

AbstrakPembelajaran berbasis proyek merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang direkomendasikan untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran menurut kurikulum 2013. Pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dengan pelaksanaan pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Guru SMK harus mampu mengembangkan model pembelajaran yang dapat menghasilkan aspek keterampilan kerja. Salah satu masalah paling kritis dalam proses belajar mengajar Bahasa Inggris di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan adalah keengganan dan kreativitas guru yang kurang untuk menemukan cara agar pembelajaran lebih kreatif dan menyenangkan. Untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman siswa tentang suatu materi yang telah diajarkan dalam proses belajar mengajar, guru harus memberikan tugas kepada siswa. Penugasan dapat dilakukan dengan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (PjBL). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi guru tentang pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam desain deskriptif kualitatif yang melibatkan tiga guru Bahasa Inggris SMK di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, Provinsi Riau sebagai responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki persepsi positif terhadap pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek perlu dilakukan oleh guru di kelas Bahasa Inggris sebagai salah satu model dalam proses belajar mengajar karena berfokus pada siswa.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek, Persepsi Guru, dan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. AbstractProject-based learning is one of the recommended learning models to be used in learning according to the 2013 curriculum. The implementation of the learning process in Vocational High Schools have different characteristics from the implementation of learning in Senior High Schools. Vocational high school teachers must be able to develop learning models that can produce aspects of work skills. One of the most critical problems in teaching and learning English at Vocational High School is teachers’ unwillingness and less creativity to find ways to make learning more creative and fun. To find out what extent students understand about the material that has been taught in the teaching and learning process, the teachers must give assignments to the students. The assignments can be done with the model Project-Based Learning. The aim of this study was to investigate how teachers’ perception about project-based learning. This research conducted in descriptive qualitative design which involved three vocational high school English teachers in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province as respondents. This research used semi-structured interview as an instrument to collect the data. The result of the analysis showed that teachers have positive perception toward project-based learning. This study aims to investigate the improvement students’ learning outcomes after the application of the experimental method in heat concept. The research design used was classroom action research with data collection techniques using observation sheets, tests, and student worksheets. The subjects of the study were students of class VII.1 of SMPN 7 Muara Bungo in the academic year 2019/2020 with 31 students. This research was conducted in three cycles, starting from October 28, 2019 to November 26, 2019. The results of this study indicate that the application of the experiment method can improve students’ learning outcomes in heat concept. Improved students’ learning outcomes can be seen from the average value, students' absorption capacity, and mastery learning from cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III. For the average value of students in cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III, are: 80, 85, and 88. For the absorption of students in cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III, are: 80%, 86% and 89%. As for mastery learning in cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III, are: 72%, 89%, and 94%.

<p>This research<em> </em>is aimed at finding the effect of vocabulary mastery and reading interest toward the students’ narrative writing skill. <em>The hypothesis</em><em> </em>of this study includes: 1). There is a collaborative significant effect of the vocabulary mastery and reading interest toward the students’ narrative writing skill; 2). There is a significant effect of the vocabulary mastery toward the students’ narrative writing skill; and 3). There is a significant effect of the reading interest toward the students’ narrative writing skill. <em>The method of the research</em> is a double regression linear by descriptive survey analysis applying some samples from a number of population and using questionnaire and tests instrument for data collection. The number of the samples is 80 students of grade ten (X) who are students of the State Vocational High School in West Jakarta.</p>

<p><em>This research was classroom action research. Classroom action research was a research that was conducted by a teacher in order to find out solutions of any problems found during teaching and learning process. In this research, it was done to explain whether by using an outline technique could improve the students’ writing paragraph and also to investigate some factors that influenced the students in writing descriptive paragraph. This research was done at grade VIII B of SMP Negeri 6 Sungai Penuh in academic year 2017/2018. From the result of the test in this research, the result was increased in cycle and two. In cycle one, the mean score was 58.25% and it increased to 76.87%, it increased 18.63% point. It meant that teaching writing through outline improved the students’ writing skill. The improvements were also improved on the result of each sub-indicators of writing test between cycle 1 and 2. </em></p>

Writing becomes the most challenging skill for the students as it needs more time to develop and tend to raise problem to students. Therefore, project based learning is offered to solve the problems in writing. Some experts believe that project based learning (PBL) can provoke the students to get new knowledge through their own project. This research reports on the implementation of project based learning in teaching writing. The objectives of the research are to know the implementation of project based learning in elevating the students� ability on writing and to know the students� opinion of the implementation of project based learning in teaching writing. Qualitative was used as a research method and classroom action research as a research design. The participants of the research were fourth semester students in one university in Cimahi, West Java. The collected data were obtained through observation, writing test and interview. Then, data were analysed based on triangulation. As result, it was found that the implementation of project based learning in teaching writing worked well. It could be seen from the students� responses during the implementation of this method as they gave positive opinion toward the method used; they actively involved in learning process. PBL was proved on helping the students wrote well. Besides, the project given engaged the students in solving a real problem and answering it. In other word, this project could develop the students� critical thinking and it could be a meaningful project for them.

The background this research is the low learning activity of students, especially in questioning skills in the learning process. This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in the learning activities of students after applying the question student have method. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The sample of this research was the fourth grade students of the 2018/2019 academic year with 20 students. This research was completed in 2 cycles consisting of four stages, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data collection instruments used were observation and documentation. The results showed that using the question student have method can improve the learning activities of students in mathematics in fourth grade of Elementary School Pahlawan. The activity level of students before the question student have method was applied was 54.28% in the low category. After applying the question student have method in Cycle I, there was an increase of 61.07% in the middle category, and in Cycle II there was an increase of 80.72% in the high category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of the question student have method can improve the learning activities of students in mathematics.

AbstractABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik berdasarkan capaian kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan pada semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 di SMA Negeri 1 Sungailiat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan tahapan pembelajaran, diawali dengan pengajuan pertanyaan mendasar, penyusunan desain dan jadwal kegiatan proyek, monitoring kemajuan penyelesaian proyek, menguji hasil proyek peserta didik, dan diakhiri dengan kegiatan mengevaluasi pengalaman peserta didik selama mengerjakan tugas proyek. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan pembelajaran terlihat dari peningkatan capaian rata-rata nilai modus untuk kompetensi sikap dengan predikat baik, untuk kompetensi pengetahuan diperoleh capaian nilai rata-rata untuk setiap Kompetensi Dasar sebesar 2,80 di Siklus pertama dan di Siklus kedua sebesar 3,10 dengan presentasi kenaikan dari Siklus pertama ke Siklus kedua sebesar 30 persen. Capaian hasil belajar untuk kompetensi keterampilan, di Siklus pertama sebesar 2,96 dan Siklus kedua sebesar 3,16 dengan presentasi kenaikan dari Siklus pertama ke Siklus kedua sebesar 20 persen. Penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa model PjBL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pokok bahasan Turunan Fungsi. ABSTRACTThis research was conducted to improve learning outcomes of students based on achievement of competence attitudes, knowledge and skills in the second semester of academic year 2014/2015 in SMA Negeri 1 Sungailiat. This was a classroom action research (PTK) on the stages of learning, beginning with the proposition of fundamental questions, preparation of design and schedule of the project activities, monitoring of project completion progress, evaluation of learners project results, and ending with activities to evaluate the experience of learners during working on project tasks. The effectivity of the learning process could be seen through the increase in the average achievement to competence mode value, which was predicate: good (B), for the knowledge competency, the average grade achieved for each BasicCompetency was 2.80 in the first cycle and 3.10 in the second cycle with 30persen increase between the first cycle to second cycle. The achievement of learning outcomes for skills competencies was 2.96 in the first cycle and 3.16 in the second cycle with 20persen increase between the first cycle to the second cycle. Itcan be concluded that PJBL model could improve students’ learning outcomes on the topic of derivative function.
