Abstract In today’s competitive market, these companies or organizations that take care of their employees and put them on the development and improvement of qualifications will be successful. This is due to the fact that the role of the organization is to provide development opportunities for their employees to deepen their knowledge and skills on a regular basis. In human capital management, trainings are a set of activities that empower employees to acquire new skills and qualifications. The main aim of the study was to determine the impact of trainings on employee development in the banks departments in the city of Czestochowa. Based on the obtained results of the research, it can be stated that in the opinion of employees, both managerial and first-line position, trainings have an important influence on three separate factors: the increase of ability to perform assigned tasks in a shorter time, the increase of work efficiency, and the increase of employees satisfaction. Furthermore, the conducted research proved that the participation of employees in trainings has a fundamental impact on their professional development path.

The aim of this research is to describe the impact of heavy metals contaminating sediments on oligochaete communities. Sediments were collected three times (June, August, October 1991) for chemical and biological analyses in 15 sites situated in the river I11 and its tributaries (Rhine Basin, France). The sediments are characterized by high contents of heavy metals, mainly Hg, Cu, Cr, Pb, Zn from below the city of Mulhouse. The majority of sediments are heavily loaded with organic matter and organic micropollutants are also present. Oligochaete communities are rich in species. However five species only, considered as pollution-tolerant or opportunist, are significantly present and abundant. The percentages of Tubificidae without hair setae are positively related to heavy metal contents of the sediments, and the percentages of Tubificidae with hair setae are negatively related. Several species such as N. communis, N. barbata, D. digitata and Bothrioneurum sp. are considered as tolerant to heavy metals; on the contrary L. claparedeanus, L. udekemianus, Stylodrilus sp. and S. josinae are considered as intolerant. The reproductive strategy of oligochaetes in contaminated areas and the role of organic matter are discussed. Several recommendations are given for the rehabilitation of the investigated sites.

Partnership is considered one among the most important factors in educationalwork. For its formation and improvements, appropriate competences are expected. Inthis research we seek to highlight the need to strengthen the professional knowledgeand skills of preschool teachers for building and developing partnerships with parentsseen as a higher form of collaboration. Therefore, the aim of this research was toexamine the perceptions and attitudes of parents and preschool teachers abouttheir mutual cooperation and partnership. The sample consists of 203 parentsand preschool teachers working in kindergartens in the City of Zagreb and ZagrebCounty. Hypotheses were set with regards to recognition or knowledge of cooperationand partnership concepts, the assessment of the role of preschool teachers as partnersby parents and preschool teachers in mutual cooperation and partnership, andthe assessment of the importance of cooperation through the participants’ ownresponsibility. Once the data was analysed, the obtained results showed that bothgroups of respondents did not consider the role of preschool teacher as partner asone that was the most important. Also, the results of the research have shown thatparents, but also preschool teachers, do not understand the difference between theconcepts cooperation and partnership. Although both parties have agreed on theimportance of a partnership or the collaborative relationship, there is also a smallnumber of participants who consider such a relationship irrelevant or less important.

I provide a philosophical analysis of the claim that ICTs are necessary preconditions for the eradication of poverty. What are the links between information and communication technologies (ICTs) and poverty? I first define technology and then give a brief depiction of ICTs. Thereafter I define poverty and give a brief expla-nation of its context and causes. Next I discuss the relationship between poverty and ICTs in three paradigm cases: [i] the role of ICTs in poor societies, [ii] the effect of poor ICT knowledge and skill of individuals in highly developed technological societies, and [iii] the impact of impoverished ICT knowledge and skills on the rich, powerful, and intelligent ones in society. I propose a procedure for decision making about the appropria-tion of ICTs by individuals and societies. I assess the claim that both access to ICTs and effective use of them are preconditions for the eradication of poverty.

Education that integrates character education in the learning process oriented towards the formation of the child as a whole human being. Therefore, character education can not be excluded. As for the impact of rapid globalization, it is resulting in decreased values of the nation's character. Upaya solving these problems is to guide in enhancing the ability of educators in shaping the role of the nation's values of elementary school students. The goal of this activity is the Teachers Working Group (KKG) in SD BPI and KKG in SDN 208 Luginasari. The method used in the form of seminars and workshops in the way of knowledge and skills to carry out learning activities that include character education through the medium of the traditional game. Then do the teacher mentoring to ensure that they practiced with good results briefing in seminars and workshops has done. Mentoring is beneficial because of many-intertwined transfers of knowledge between teachers and the Service Team. PKM activity can be said to have contributed to the development of the character values of the nation. However, such actions still need to be disseminated to a broader audience.

617 Background: Metabolic disruption is frequent in renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Loss of the mitochondrial fumarate hydratase (FH) enzyme is associated with enhanced glycolytic metabolism, angiogenesis and clinical aggressiveness in type 2 papillary RCC. However, FH expression has never been evaluated in clear cell RCC (ccRCC). In this study, we investigated the impact of FH expression on the outcomes of patients (pts) with metastatic ccRCC (mccRCC). Methods: We included pts with mccRCC, for whom formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue from the primary tumor had been obtained before initiation of systemic treatment. FH levels were evaluated by immunohistochemistry (IHC), and were defined as “normal” if FH expression in most cancer cells was comparable to the adjacent normal tubular cells and “low” in the opposite case. We evaluated the association between FH levels and clinico-pathological characteristics through the chi-squared or Fisher’s exact test. The log-rank test was used to compare survival between patient subgroups. Results: We evaluated 49 mccRCC pts, of whom 36 (73.5%) had synchronous metastases. FH levels were normal in 29 (59.2%) pts and low in 20 (40.8%) pts. FH expression was not associated with patient age (p = 0.5), sex (p = 0.34), tumor grade (p = 0.66), T stage (p = 0.38), N stage (p = 0.88), metastatic disease at the time of diagnosis (p = 0.4), number of metastatic sites (p = 1) or sarcomatoid morphology (p = 0.36). 44 pts received first-line therapy with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). In pts with low as compared to normal FH levels, median progression free survival (mPFS) during any first-line treatment was 34 and 10.1 months, respectively (HR 0.39, 95% CI 0.18-0.85; p = 0.014), while mPFS during first-line TKI therapy was 34 and 8.42 months, respectively (HR 0.4, 95% CI 0.17-0.94; p = 0.03). Median overall survival (OS) was not reached in pts with FH-low tumors, while it was 22.9 months in normally expressing ones (HR 0.14, 95% CI 0.032-0.63; p = 0.028). Conclusions: In mccRCC pts, low FH expression in primary tumors is associated with longer PFS during any first-line or TKI treatment, and also with better OS. This is the first study to reveal a prognostic and predictive role of FH levels in mccRCC.

e16758 Background: GemNab is one of the first-line standard treatment (tx) of APC. To date, no predictive factors, both clinical and molecular, of benefit from this regimen exist. Two retrospective studies showed that early tumor shrinkage (ETS) can predict an improved outcome in APC pts receiving a first-line tx with FOLFIRINOX or GemNab. However, data regarding GemNab, limited to a small population of only 57 pts, seem to not confirm the association of ETS with a better outcome. Hence, we retrospectively analysed an homogeneous population of APC treated with first-line GemNab at our Institution, investigating the impact of several clinical factors, including response and ETS. Methods: APC pts receiving a first-line tx with GemNab were included in the analysis. The association of RECIST response and ETS with PFS and OS was evaluated. The following variables were collected: gender; age ( > vs ≤ 55 years and ≥ vs < 70 years ); baseline ECOG PS; Ca 19.9 baseline level (≥ vs < 200); anamnesis of diabetes; site of primary tumor (head/uncinate process vs body/tail); locally A vs metastatic (m) PC; synchronous vs metachronous; number of m sites (1 vs > 1); m sites (liver, peritoneum, lung, nodes); number of tx lines (1 vs > 1). Univariate and multivariate analyses for PFS and OS were performed. Results: A total of 184 APC pts receiving first-line GemNab at our Institution from February 2014 to May 2019 were included in the analysis. RR and ETS were assessed in 174 and 168 pts, respectively. RR was 30%, disease control rate (DCR) 63% and ETS was 24%. Responders had a significant better PFS (12.5 vs 5.7 months, p < 0.0001) and OS (25.1 vs 12.1 months, p < 0.0001). ETS was significantly associated with improved PFS (12.3 vs 6.2 months, p < 0.0001) and OS (24.0 vs 12.8 months, p < 0.0001). At the multivariate analysis a significant association with survival parameters was confirmed for RECIST response, but not for ETS. At the multivariate analysis, also metachronous disease and number of tx lines > 1 were independently associated with better OS. Conclusions: Despite its retrospective nature, this is one of the largest series of APC pts treated with first-line GemNab investigating the role of RECIST response and ETS in predicting outcome. On the basis of our results, RECIST response may be considered a positive prognostic factor, whereas ETS does not. In conclusion, achieving tumor shrinkage, not necessarily early, significantly delays PC progression and prolongs survival in pts treated with first-line GemNab.
